Just another overpriced coffee shop

I went to Costa Coffee in the queen Elizabeth hospital yesterday and I asked for a takeaway bubblegum frappe which they had on their frappe menu. I was very disappointed with this, why have something like that on the frappe menu and say they don’t make it.

My sisters and I visited my mum in the QE for 3 weeks and we visited Costa regularly. At a very stressful time, Costa made a welcome break. The staff were so friendly and went out of their way to make our experience a good one. They are so professional and go the extra mile to be helpful. We can’t thank them enough.

Visited and had a friendly welcome by staff I was served by zoe who was very helpful I also noticed the new renovation the wallpaper tables and chairs all new looks amazing will be back again 😀

The Costa at the QE hospital Gateshead has to be one of the most pleasant I've ever visited. Spacious, clean and readily accessible for everybody. The staff are friendly and polite and efficient. The coffee was up to the usual Costa standard judged only by a pleasant flat white. If it wasn't in a hospital I'd probably visit it more often, although parking at the QE is a real pain.

Lady who served me was extremely professional, smiley and helpful with her job specially as i have a nut allergy too so helped me round what to choose.

Really friendly staff here, looked like they are enjoying working here, being of a mature age they brought my tray to the table, nice choice of drinks and food and very clean premises.

Nice coffee until as usual charged £3.90 for a cup of coffee. Ridiculous, 1st time by choice I've been to a Costa since living in Canary Islands 22 years ago. Actually said without looking "cafe con leche". Had no choice about going to this one as stuck in Hospital

The only place (that I know of) that asks if the person have any allergy prior to collecting the TooGoodToGo bag. Very good customer service! I have been to other costa outlet and they don’t ask for allergy. Their salted caramel frappe (with coffee) is the best drink for the summer month! Highly recommended for people to visit.

Went here today all lovely staff and great at there job

Mam has been in hospital for over a week now and loves a coffee each visiting time I collect one from the Costa coffee in the hospital. I have to say the staff in there are a credit to your company they are always kind helpfull and lovely mannered. Its a joy to go when my family are in there worde time. Thanks girls for making my day even though you probably don't realise it.

Friendly staff but bitter second hand coffee. I watched her use the same coffee she just used for someone else. Must be easier to make or something.

Great people if you can find a nurse willing to wheelchair you down there. I did. Thanks nurse Lisa xxx

Opened extra seating area for us , as we were a group of 8.

Visited many Costa outlets. For me this is by far the best in terms of service and quality of my coffee. Always friendly and quickly remember what you want to order. Don't understand some comments about prices - it's Costa so you should have a good idea what prices will be

OK I like coffee this is one of the best

Went in last week before an appointment and was very disappointed, iced coffee was disgusting as was toastie, staff need more training in customer service, prices way too high and sorry but will never go back.

Lovely worker but found out next door was less than half the price for a latte.

It was nice to sit and relax over a cuppa but gets realy busy and stuffy

Good and drinks were fine, staff seemed s bit distracted.

Lovely black Forrest hot chocolate well worth a visit to try seasonal hot drinks .

Most helpfull friendly staff i am disable battle with walking and every morning have my large americano and they give me table service tnankyou all staff at Low Fell branch

Usual get a great blended iced caramel latte here when the young guy makes it however half way through today's the woman took over and 1st did not blend then sloshed something else in it blended it and passed what was a waterey cup of slop to me it looked nothing like what I was used too I gave her it back and said on 2nd thoughts keep it.

I HAVE NOT BEEN HERE NOR HAVE I DRUNK THEIR COFFEE AS IT IS BITTER AND FULL OF DREGS

Always friendly staff and good selection available. Always makes my visits a little better.

Every time I eat here half of the restaurant is cordoned off and there are chairs on top of the tables preventing customers from sitting there. It's like this whatever time you go in even on a dinner time. It just doesn't feel welcoming at all. Why do I keep going back? Well I work in the hospital so there's not much choice.

Always get a great latte and service no matter what. The staff are always polite as well
