Had a really bad experience. The service is really bad. And a lady was rude with my friend as well.

They lost my order. I waited 10 minutes before asking after it. They did apologize. The staff seemed very dispirited the whole time. They couldn’t understand my accent. I speak standard American. It was not what I would call busy.

Great location on Camden’s regents canal. As average as it gets for Costa style.

Only one star for service. Arrived 10 minutes before closing to grab a quick cappuccino since most other coffee shops are closed by this time. Was refused service because they were "closing" despite other customers still being seated and opening hours clearly indicating they were still serving. Very poor customer service.

Pastries are dry, probably made the day before

Staff (manager I think) rolled her eyes at me when I politely asked if they had a loo I could use. The shop wasn't busy and I was paying for coffee. Rudeness doesn't sit well with me so certainly won't return. Also, 1 min along the road is a beautiful cafe right under the bridge, nice staff and good coffee (not that difficult really is it?)

Bad business, bad service, bad employees, they forced the products we bought into my hand, they didn't even give me a napkin, they didn't even give me a fork, they gave me a breakfast knife, the coffee was so hot I burned my hand, they didn't even give me a tray. The tables were dirty and the staff seemed lethargic and sick.🤮

Great place to check out birds, coffee was good as well.

Perfect service I regularly travel through this location and not only does the costa staff give amazing service it open very early in the morning allowing me to get an amazing coffee before starting work

Regular costa with a rude manager. No kindness at all only greed.

My issue was not the staff or coffee. My issue was that i had reciepts for points to be added to my account. On weds i had purchased 4 coffees in reusable cups whilst in the birmingham area. However, yet again the app was not working. Apparently due to yet another update. Costa are close to losing another customer.

At least a standard6 Just before leaving the town, we stopped by the Cafe next to Undergrand to rest a little and had our coffee 😊 Thanks.

Disappointed that the toilets are downstairs, being a disabled person. After struggling down there, I found that a door code was required. So back upstairs to get a code. There is an entrance to the lower level, but that requires using steps to access it. Staff were friendly and helpful.

It's a Costa, pretty standard as things go. Always quiet in the mornings, handy for the market etc. Wouldn't use the toilet though, also always seems to have homeless people hanging around the outside part.

I never experience this poor service when I went to Costa Cooffee.I asked for the toilet code for my daughter and me when in need. But the male staff told me it's for staff only. In fact, there have customer toilet. After I angered for his response, he took a little piece written paper with code in the box for me. My daughter just only 10, she's missing urine finally, it made her very embarrassed. I'll never go to Costa again.

Coffee was hot and came fast. A decent Costa and easy to go to the market from bridge.

Excellent place to be quiet, the only thing is the dirty bathroom. But hey, everything is still fine.

The Costa Coffee Shop has got big windows allowing us to enjoy our coffee watching passes by on the Regent's Canal. We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere!

Friendly and welcoming space, great for a coffee.

This used to be one of the best Costa's in London but recent visits we have been met with rude staff and burnt coffee.

Im gonna be honest here I don't do Big name coffee shops but Had a Cappuccino and Belgium waffles 🤯❤ Beautiful just sitting chilling watching the world go by and the lovely place that's Camden town

Worst experience ever, toilet floor is wet from you know what, the staff is chatting while you're waiting in line, and when you call them, they serve with such a face…

My daughter ordered a salted caramel frappocino, wasn’t the best ever one made, it was very runny not the standard one . Disappointing

The pastries were really not good, I would say it was the one from the day before and for the cappuccino we would have liked to have a decoration instead of having powder sprinkled like that However, the coffee place is well located opposite the lake.

In terms of the physical location, it’s got a great amount of space as there’s both the ground floor and another floor downstairs next to the canal. Management wise however it’s a mess. The WiFi is unusable, the opening times listed online have been inaccurate, some staff are unable to effectively speak/understand English. The worst I’ve seen here was on one visit when a clearly mentally ill woman was coming in and out of the toilets, waving a chair around during what was very obviously a psychotic episode. She was having full blown hallucinations, which staff clearly did not know how to handle as she was just left to continue in distress while other customers became uncomfortable and even got angry at her. I know it probably wasn’t something the staff were prepared for but for everyone’s safety and wellbeing they should have intervened instead of allowing it to escalate.

A very pleasant place to meet friends or relax with a leisurely coffee. Always comfortable, clean and welcoming, and generally serving a great flat white.

Ok the atmosphere could be better but it is very large and with many seats, some outside directly on the canal (upstairs) others close to the window. The view seemed better upstairs but downstairs is usually less crowded. Ideal for working on the PC or writing.

Very dirty place windows and all glasses you can see the dirt. No proffessional services never ever will go again

Shop is open till 8:30 pm yet the downstairs seating area and toilet close at 4:30 extremely annoying to be told after a large coffee and an hour walk to car"toilets are closed for today "

Toilet with code but terribly dirty, expensive drinks

Revolting toilets. Puddles of urine on the floor. Reported to staff and no-one seemed interested in immediately addressing issue.

Went into costa on 15/09/23,I asked for the toilet number before I ordered the Asian girl said to order first.we were dressed up nicely so clearly not hard up, I did not want to take my drink to the toilet so we left very rude staff as I use costa all the time

One of the dirtiest Costa Coffee, I guess it's Camden folklore but definitely not the best place where to stop. Drinks are poured directly from mount Doom and served at 2000°F, so you can take them out and drink them after a few weeks, but that's a classic feature from Costa Coffee chain 🤷. The food is nicely stored in their standard display, it's so old that probably existed when the war in Afghanistan started in 2001 and placed there as art piece

Filthy toilets with horrific blue light and faeces splattered all over the toilet seats and walls. Pubes in the sink. You would think I am making this up. Couldn’t let my child use the toilet. Staff couldn’t even clean them when I asked, simply opened the second loo which was exactly the same!

Expensive coffee in paper cups and no toilet available

Sadly I did not have any food. Service was very good and even got a free cuppa. The atmosphere is different, if you wish for a ever surprising and interesting environment… then come to this one. I would come back again!

Popped in to grab a couple of drinks after a visit to the market, didn't stay long but it was clean and tidy and staff were friendly.

Amazing view, unfortunately the only worker in while I was ordering was a brand-new employee who took several minutes to process orders for customers and while preparing orders, did not receive orders. Very long wait times but I would blame management for this, certainly not the employee. Amazing views, lovely riverside access and great ambience within.

The Indian male server with stubble is rude. No politeness whatsoever. Usually costa has friendly servers, but this one was rude to most customers I saw ahead of me in line. Couldn't get the name unfortunately.

The lady at the counter was so mean! She got my order wrong and then took it out on me, saying she's repeated my order thrice (when she in fact had never). At first refused to refund, and later on insistence grudgingly did so. Horrible service. And when she redid the order, they intentionally made it bad. Horrible experience at this Costa. Never returning- especially cause of how the lady at the counter serviced me

I visited this coffee shop last week. I really enjoyed visiting this coffee shop and the staff member Sadia served me, she is very friendly, kind, motivated and quick in serving. The shop was clean and tidy. The music was great. I would greatly recommend this coffee shop to anyone. I will diffidently visiting again.

The coffee is average, but the worst is their toilet (not clean enough) with blue light making one dizzy. Also the tables are not cleaned.

This place's great plus (opening times) is it's greatest downfall as well. It's a massive place and has heating in winter and climate in summer. So most of it, including toilet facilities are permanently closed. Staff is unmotivated and slow, the atmosphere coffee-chain feeling at it's worst. The place very run down, untidy. Generations of coffee cups and older stains on coffee tables - despite empty store. The good news, after I took this picture staff removed the cups from all tables instantly, but left the stains on tables and debris on floor. Music seems to be a weapon against customers. I stayed for 1 hour and there was no music, when the place was full music was turned on at very high volume. That sort of management also attracts the sort of people that don't mind or like this environment.

The staff here are lovely & make it feel like an independent, local coffee shop rather than a chain, which can often feel generic & a little soulless - this definitely isn't the case here. Despite being constantly busy the wait is never too long & staff are always friendly - in particular Sadia, she is someone who every business would benefit from having on their team. One Saturday she was working without the usual team - usually 4 staff but 2 colleagues were sick - & the 3rd was new so she was also training a totally new team member, so basically it was just her for the whole day and she smashed it! She was really good at training whilst also running the shop & the new guy was fab too. She was given a £20 tip which for coffee says it all really. Tbh I come bk now due to Sadia's friendly vibe, I have my coffee & a chat. She is an asset to Costa (hope her managers read this!) & makes the place feel more local & friendly than any of the other branches. 5 stars and 100% of that is due to her - coffee pretty good too 😎

Great staff naturally and truly very hard working to make and keep the customers happy . The very best team in camden costa coffee . They were in a league of there own . Sadia , Javin , Greesh. God bless all .

Nice Costa, plenty of space. Took my 11 year old for a hot chocolate after a long day out and staff were great and made sure to check the temperature of the drink for him. Great view from the window too.

I enjoy visiting Costa here, by the canal and to watch nature ,with the Geese, on the water .

At 9am no porridge and not a single drop of plant milk, barely any food on the shelves. Poor poor service, went across the road to elies cafe which I would recommend over these jokers at Costa anyday

Good location but it’s a shame they are always under staff. They can’t do frappes or any blended cold drinks. Terrible service, all the tables are always dirty full of trays and it takes really really really long to get a coffee.

Been popping in most evenings for a cold coffee to keep me chill on my journey home. I don't know why but their drinks seems to be far better then any other Costa. The two girls that work the late shift are very good. I can't speak the rest of the day, but definitely worth a visit if you need something for journey home!

Dear Costa Management Team! Please deal with your staff and try to keep your standards up! Otherwise you will drastically lose a significant number of your customers! The staff did not get my order right. First, I asked if they do any cold drinks like smoothies or shakes and I been told that they do not do such drinks and only hot drinks available. Then I agreed to a hot drink and ordered Earl Grey tea, instead after waiting for about 15 min some other drink was presented to me which I did not order, the other staff quickly corrected the mistake but failed to reimburse me with the money I overpayed for a mistaken drink. Then, my friend came 15 min later and asked for a cold drink '' Passion Fruit and Mango' and they served her with a cold drink despite the fact that they told me that they did not do cold drinks at all. Then I came to the counter and also ordered Passion Fruit and Mango and they served it to me. I was left very confused with the service. I am a regular customer at Costa and I find that this branch is particularly bad at its customer service and need lots of emprovement.....

Mostly a pleasant experience - the new guy with the bleach blonde hair has a serious attitude problem and no customer service skills. The ladies are all lovely and polite.

They have no idea how to make coffee here. The shot of coffee goes into the milk right away. So have the milk ready and steamed! Leaving the shot to stand is not the way!

Rude guy with blonde hair working behind the counter. Used an aggressive tone and made the worst coffee ever. Also waited about 15 mins for someone to show up behind the till, no employees on the floor?? Really odd. Date of visit august 2nd! This is my second visit, wanted to give the place the benefit of doubt as it’s so local to me but definitely won’t be coming back. Not worth wasting your money or time in this Costa. Unfortunate really.

one of my favourite costa in london. nicely situated.

I've been using this Costa location for several years now and my experience has become notably worst over time. The trainees heavily outnumber competent staff, it's just what I've come to expect at this location. With three people back there, the 10 mins wait for a flat white is unacceptable. The service is consistently slow and wrong orders are the norm, which extends the already long wait. I certainly don't blame the staff wholey, Costa seriously needs to invest in better staff training.
