In short, the food was satisfactory. The receptionist was friendly and made an effort to assist the clients promptly. Without his help, I would have rated this experience poorly. When the waitress brought the shared platter, she mentioned that she would provide small plates for us to share. However, after waiting for a few minutes, I went out to take the ketchup and reminded her to bring them. To my surprise, when I asked about the plates, she abruptly exclaimed 'EXCUSE ME!' as if I was in the wrong for expecting them. It was not the kind of generous assistance one would hope for. The absence of a service charge does not excuse failing to fulfill promises made to customers. Please correct me if my expectations are unreasonable.

First low rating in a while especially for a chain I love and reliably know. Standards definitely dropped at the King's Cross branch. Stood there aimlessly waiting to be seated with what seemed to look like 3 people who could clearly see a line forming waiting to be seated but no care in the world. I would understand if they were super busy, but they were taking their time having separate conversations. Gave up after 10 minutes of standing about and not being told anything or wait time.

This is a particularly bad branch of an otherwise good company. Our experience, now we’ve read reviews, has happened to others time and time again, they respond to say they’ll pass it to the manager, and they fix nothing. We met the manager; she (Sam) doesn’t care. We went here in April to a good experience and this was very different. We had awful experiences with the food, the service, the bar and the toilets and so have nothing good to say, and must give 1 star across the board. Waiting for a table was a farce; we were 2nd in line, waited almost 20 minutes, and saw the restaurant nearly empty before we sat down, whilst watching the same tables being cleaned twice by different people (!?). The host (Kelan) stressed ‘any issues with anything, come to me’. We were given a table at the back so dark that we couldn’t read the menus, and music was too loud. We ordered food from the till. My mum in law wanted a glass of wine, they’d run out of glasses, the bar lady said she’d bring it over shortly. It didn’t come, we chased it with the host and he eventually brought it, but around 50ml too short. I took it back, the lady said ‘oh did he take it, he wasn’t meant to as I needed to get another bottle out’. It later arrived half way through their food. I went to the toilet, no loo roll in any cubicles. The in laws had nearly finished their food and ours still hadn’t arrived 25 mins in (we’d ordered separately). Their chips were stone cold but chicken warm; they said they couldn’t be bothered to complain. I witnessed lots of part meals standing under ‘heat lamps’ for up to 10 minutes whilst I stood waiting for the manager, often chicken (is this within h & s?) awaiting their sides.We’d arrived at 7pm in the queue, ordered at 7.32 (on receipt) now it was 7.55. I went to the host again (given what he’d said at the start) and said I was sorry but we’d had a terrible experience so far and could I detail the issues we’d had, and we still didn’t have our food either. The kitchen joined in the chat and didn’t know what we’d ordered; I had to get the receipt to tell them. The host was shirty with me and later told me ‘he hadn’t liked my tone when I first came to him’ (!?). He said ‘I’m only an employee I’m not the manager’. I asked to therefore see the manager (Sam) and she eventually came out looking non-plussed when I explained the issues to her. She said nothing in response, just walked off and never checked on us again.10 minutes later 2 out of 4 dishes came, with wrong sides. Eventually at 8.25, nearly an hour after ordering, the last 2 dishes came. My daughter’s burger had ketchup when we’d asked for none and she looked sad but we told her we couldn’t afford to question anything else, and she ate very little of it. I spoke again to Kelan when he brought the last 2 dishes, and reminded him that he’d told us to approach him if we had any issues. He said ‘I tried my best when you brought things up’. I said I was sorry to disagree but given it had been 30 mins since I raised with him that our food still hadn’t come, that wasn’t true. I asked what was going to happen about the fact we’d just spent a lot of money on a terrible experience and again he said ‘I have no power I’m just an employee’. I asked for his name and he stroppily slammed his badge on the table (I took a photo). An unsuspecting staff member asked my father in law as we left whether he’d enjoyed his meal, to which he said ‘scrawny chicken, cold chips, I’m never going to Nando’s again’ (this was his 1st time). We arrived at 7pm and didn’t manage to leave until 8.50pm. Something needs to be done about this branch and its dire management!

Nandos is always super reliable and good value. This is a nicely designed restaurant: funky and spacious. The service wasn't super sharp when we were there, we waited to be seated, the food took quite a while to arrive (25 minutes and I had to chase it up) and the music was a little loud, but the food was good and the staff were friendly enough.

Dear Nando's Customer Service, I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration with the experience my group and I had at your King's Cross location. This was, without a doubt, the worst Nando's visit we have ever had. We spent approximately £150-£170 on our meal, and yet the service we received was shockingly poor. The staff, including the manager, were incredibly rude and unhelpful. Not only did our food take an unusually long time to arrive, but even something as simple as ice cream, which we ordered at the end of our meal, took 30 minutes after the order was placed. Despite our table being clean and us reminding 2-3 different staff members about our pending ice cream, nothing was done. When we attempted to raise the issue with the manager, her response was nothing short of appalling. She rudely stated, "If you order it, it will come, otherwise not," and walked away, leaving us with no resolution to the problem. As I write this complaint, I am still sitting in the store, waiting for the ice cream that has yet to be served, with no response from anyone. This experience was not only frustrating but also a complete waste of time and money. I would strongly advise others to avoid this location at all costs. Given the terrible service and the distressing experience we had, I am requesting a full refund for the meal as compensation for the time and money wasted. I hope to hear back from you soon regarding this matter.

Very busy on a Friday evening which is to be expected but when you have placed an order on the app to collect at a given time it is extremely frustrating when your order does not meet this time - I say this especially for this experience as the delay on this food delayed me checking in for my Eurostar. I’d expect this branch of Nando’s to have better punctuality given its proximity to a major travel hub. You’d expect many takeaways are ordered by commuters… Aside from the order being late I had to ask 3 members of staff where to collect. 1 person being helpful. It’s a pity 1 of the other 2 was a manager. What was also annoying was the inability to order a takeaway drink for my meal. Staff member at the till simply said “they have no cups” on a very warm day this is extra frustrating. To sum it up; decent food, poor service, busy atmosphere.

When we arrived, we were told that a table for the seven of us would be ready in five minutes. Still waiting fifteen minutes later, I asked the greeter how much longer it would be, he said it would be another ten minutes. I said there were other tables that were big enough and ready to be occupied but he said *as I said, it will be another ten minutes but if you don't want to wait, you can go!". I responded that he didn't need to be so agressive and he replied with "you haven't seen aggressive yet". I then asked for his manager and so he went and asked his colleague to come over - she introduced herself as Ester, the manager - it later turned out that she was not Ester and she was not his manager. I asked him for his name and he just walked off. I then got into the queue to place our order and so asked the server what his name was - Kion. Apparently he was new but that is no excuse. That was the first and last time that I visit this branch of Nando's.

When I got to the Nando's King's Cross location at 20:12 GMT, there was a long queue outside. I noticed that there were plenty of open seats when I peered out the window. Frustrated, the folks ahead of us begin to move out of the queue. There were no staff helping us in the front counter.I walked inside, complained about the unfair queue to the counter staff member, and spoke with them. They let us in after a short while and ordered our food, but they waited for more than twenty-five minutes without acknowledging us. I proceeded to the kitchen and again bemoaned the wait time. A member of the staff came to apologise and give us a refund for the out-of-stock humus with peri-peri drizzle. We waited for ten more minutes, the food arrived but we were still unable to eat in time. After deciding to leave the restaurant, we asked for our money back. We eventually received our money and departed the location. My wife and I were rather dissatisfied with the service.If nothing else, the personnel ought to have updated us on the status of the delayed order, but they didn't. I loved and used Nandos for over 22 years but not this time. I have never received this level of service at Nando's. This is the first time and very disappointed. ,

I wanted to love this place, but it wasn’t up to all the hype. Maybe it’s because coming from Los Angeles where we’ve got loads of flavorful food, this was just average. The servers were very polite; I especially liked the one named July, but the other lady couldn’t even tell us whose plate was whose, kind though she was. The food had JUST ENOUGH flavor to begin to be somewhat enjoyable, but all 7 of us from various parts of California were underwhelmed. Sorry Nando’s.

There’s a song ‘What a Difference a Day Makes’ i love the Eartha Kitt version. But did not love my second Visit. I was told to queue even Though there were clearly tables Available. Upon entry I was Accosted by the same ‘Manager’ and told to be taken downstairs. Now I must preface this with I DESPISE SEPARATE BASEMENT DINING. I don’t come to a restaurant NOT TO BE SEEN. Plus it was the DESIGNATED BABY AND KID ROOM that SMELLED OF URINE and BABY POO. With mothers breastfeeding And stinky messy kids running AMOK. Throwing ice cream yelling Crying etc. I IMMEDIATELY DECLINED THE SEATING OFFER. And said I’ll Wait for something else. After 2 minutes Another gentleman escorted me To the rear dining room where I PICKED MY PREFERENCE. Which Was a 2 TOP. Then the scan code Didn’t work and I had to order at the counter which meant my Food wouldn’t come fast or hot. I was correct. When the Meal Arrived I went on a SAFARI for SILVERWARE as there was NONE Available. THAT SAME MANAGER With the AGGRESSIVE voice was asked by another customer For forks and I chimed in after Being told by staff to wait 3 Minutes. When the manager walks Out he delivers the fork not to Me but walks directly past me To give the Caucasian man HIS FORK, I had to raise my voice to Get him to hand me a FORK whilst He tried handing me a KNIFE. There’s MANAGERS who can RUIN A VIBE and you can tell EMPLOYEES won’t work for HIM. But when he is not around People are happy and WORKING TOGETHER rather than just Working. Read Below. Flame Broiled juicy hot Sticky Spicy chicken Arrives in minutes because I ordered via their website at the table. A tip for those Tempted to join the queue. (that’s ‘line’ for those not Familiar) The sides are always fresh. Peri Spicy fries Piping hot and Corn on The Cob roasted to perfection. I couldn’t ask for much more. And didn’t. Poor experience, it's busy and they need more staff, the existing staff physically cannot keep up with demand. I placed a take out order in store thinking it would be quicker...fool! after waiting around for 1 hour in the store because I felt bad they were so busy (another take out customer came in half an hour after me and got served before me?) I went to question the manager. He couldn't find my order on the system and then went to look round the store and found my order by the door??? He said the team had put it there by mistake and apologised. I let it go given how busy they were. Got back to my hotel and found they had forgotten an item from my order - had to call 3 times before actually speaking to the manager (they kept answering the phone and literally leaving it on the side) who told me my order didn't exist! I told him I'd bring the order and receipt with me to the store to prove it and went back again. I went straight to the manager who looked at me confused and behaved like he hadn't heard of the issue before, he again apologised and refunded me for the missing item (as per my request). I genuinely think this team are trying it's just waaaaaay too busy for them to keep up.

I went to Nandos with a friend. Service was ok along with food although their food is really spicy or hot.....not my type of food. It is in my opinion very expensive so I will not be going again. One, the food is too hot for my palette and two, I think it's to expensive. Apart from that it was ok.

The opening time is 11:30, we arrived at 11:25 but was kept outside waiting for 25 mins. Food was fantastic as usual and the staffs were very friendly. However, cleaning is a problem, the floor was sticky and we could see some spots on the table we were served.

When to Nando's yesterday with my daughter as well were waiting on our train to go back to North east London. So I decided, to go to Nando's to grab a quick meal. Upon ordering the meal I was being served by a young man at the Till at about 13:29 or 13:45 pm. I realise the food prices or wayyy higher at Nando's Kings cross. Anyways I proceed to get the meal while waiting one meal was brought to our table I then went to the sale assistant to ask where is my food, but I was rudely interrupted by a customer shout at me while I try to ignore her, she keep on shout instead of him try to calm the situation down he walked away from his till got his phone out and put it in a way to start recording the scenario between both me and the other customer. I then asked him if that is what he's here for to record every incident that happens to post on his Instagram, he then came up to my face calling me broke, and how I came on a bouquet. I was never insulted and felt so embarrassed in my life. And it was my first time going to this Nando's. My worst experience ever. This young needs to be disaplain.

Absolutely appalling customer service, there was a group of 8 of us and 2 of my mates ordered first. How is it that the 2 of my mates who ordered first somehow gets their food last and this was when the rest of the 6 people finished their food. Plus the food came cold and it was sitting on the table that they store cooked food on for ages (due to the workers being lazy and not handing the food). We then reported it to a worker who somehow side eyed us and screw faced when expressing our frustration and completely walked away from the feedback. We then spoke to the manager who just offered us a refund and nothing else. Diabolical customer service, there’s too much playing happening in the back of house and not enough working as we can see the workers just chit chatting and talking rather than working. This didn’t just happen to the group of us it also happened to an elderly couple next to us who missed there train due to the late food and it also came cold! Please sort this behaviour out as there’s not an ounce of professionalism within the King’s Cross branch.

I’m so angry, I came here quickly for lunch and got a fino pitta to take away got back and the lettuce was brown, there was no caramelised onion chutney in the which comes in the sandwich and the whole thing was assembled poorly. Waste of money do not go to this Nando’s they clearly don’t care about how food is prepared, if your in the area there’s other Nando’s you can go to.

Very bad service, yesterday we went to this restaurant in the evening, at first the service men came and said they don't have any tables as they need to be cleaned so we have to wait for 20 mints. Then we waited 20 mints and then we got the table. Then wen we went inside and was trying to order the food through there QR Code, then we realised most of the items was out of stock, which means they maid us wait out side for no reason. Then I went to the service men and asked him, he then asked me to order it from the counter. Then I waited in the que to order at the counter, the lady in the counter was soo slow that I was waiting there another 20 mints then my turn came, I ordered my food, I paid by my card she gave me the bill then suddenly she realised something and went to kitchen then after 10 more mints another person came to the counter and said they don't have whole chicken to serve, then I canceled my order any she gave my refund in cash. I mean as a customer we came to your restaurant, then you guz made us waite all these time and at the end you u guz are saying you don't have the food the serve, what a shame guyz...

Great location as it allowed us to grab some lunch before our train departure. Service was quick and they would come check on us every so often. Food was delicious and had the right amount of spice that didn't make it too spicy. Chicken was juicy and flavorful. Tried their assortment of hot sauces as well and they all tasted great and very different from one another.

I recently visited the Kings Cross branch for dinner and I received impeccable service from one of the employees named Jaeden. I don’t normally write reviews for fast food chains but Jaeden went above and beyond in his service and nothing was too much trouble for him. There were two incidents which we encountered and Jaeden was very kind and helpful to us in both instances. Jaeden’s professionalism is a true asset to this branch. His super kind and polite manner and willingness to help diners was superb. I have never had service like this from anyone in a fast food chain such as Nando’s before. Very unexpectedly but delightfully surprised with his five star standard of service. The Kings Cross branch are very lucky to have him! Much appreciated Jaeden. 🙂

Terrible service. We were hungry and trying to order on our devices and asked 3 different people To help. In the end they made us start from scratch on the till without any understanding of how frustrating this was. Food then arrived but there was still no forks at the cutlery service station. Lots of staff having great chats, but the basic jobs were not done. Quite frustrating.

Greqt service. Needed some power to charge my phone which had died so I could get my eTicket for the international train and they helped me out. Great Italian prosciutto sandwhich and a good espresso. Had a piece of lemon cake which was awesome. Good food, clean floors and service with a smile. Love the Pret a Manger chain!

Nelle "frenetiche" giornate londinesi capita di avere la necessità di un veloce pranzo a buon prezzo, a volte basta un panino con una bibita. In questi casi si consiglia di entrare in un Pret a Manger, catena molto diffusa a Londra. Ci si può sedere al tavolo oppure prendere "take away", cibo caldo o freddo....Locali puliti, personale giovane e gentile. Ci siamo andati dopo la visita al British Museum.
