Costa Coffee in Tameside

Yeah it was ok just another costa but it seemed like one the staff members were in a mood from her behaviour

Update: Not one smile, please or thanks you. Didn't even call our drinks out The soya latte was not good, very weak, tablets were sticky, no soap in the loo and the handles were full of grime ....... Inconsistent drink quality but has improved over a couple of years. It's clean for such a busy shop. Again, inconsistent service but great mostly.

Great place Staff are lovely, always smiling, friendly and professional even if sometimes customers are rude/obnoxious Food and coffees are great, standard costa prices and selection Place is always kept clean and tidy even during busier times, the few occasions I’ve seen tables left dirty it’s been when the place is hammered and the staff are swamped and even then it’s rare Overall definitely one of the better coffee places I’ve been to

Nice staff and service but very busy felt sorry for the staff as they was running about doing lots and needed support. Nice atmosphere.

hot chocolate was cold, no temperature to it at all.

Stayed in but given a take away cup. Obviously wasn't listening to me. Hot chocolate tasted very nice though.

Perfect salted caramel frappe!

Lots of tables... that is pretty much all good I can say. The place is filthy, all of the tables had mugs on or we're not wiped, even if they were wiped - sticky. Floor - sticky, chairs dirty, propaly bedbugs nesting in them. Service was friendly but spilled the coffee already while serving. Milk in my coffee seemed off but it could be just overall impression of the place.

At 5pm heavy rain in Manchester and my blood sugar low (I am Diabetic) Costa was CLOSED. ? Despite the Costa Website saying it was open until 7pm. Man on the door would not give a reason why ! Then he rudely told us to move away from the door as we were a fire hazard. Went to Cafe Nero. Very friendly staff there.

The filthiest Costa I’ve ever visited , 3 female members of staff behind the counter talking about there night out the previous night while one was biting her nails , tables were absolutely filthy with litter and napkins and coffee stains over the majority of them , walked straight back out as did 3 other customers behind me saying the same thing to each other. absolute grovel

Terrible over an hour late for cold coffee

Filthy countertop, filthy toilets. Health issue! I had the worst bitter dark looking cappucino i have ever imagined. That couldnt have changed their filter in days.

Came in today and I asked what's the password for your WiFi really rude assistant said abruptly you have to sign in she didn't say you need to create a password and then she was moaning about it to another assistant plus I wear hearing aids and didn't here her the first time she needs to go on a customer care course it was to much trouble for her to say you need to sign in and create a password really obnoxious member of staff plus she had only just started

Best coffee shop ever and lovely staff I love this coffee shop it’s one of the best in Ashton everyone should go to it it is amazing place

I had a coffee, but needed the WC. Clean & tidy, as usual and my coffee was waiting for me when I came out.

Very poor service. No value for money. Stay away please. I am not surprised, Executive Coffee Ltd behind... Owner has been reported to the Police, company has been reported to ICO, Council and Costa.

Recently had a white hot chocolate was good to be fair. Staff all friendly and nice environment.

I love this costa so much! It’s so spacious, with two floors to sit on, relax and enjoy your food and drinks! My partner got me the new Christmas drink, the Toblerone hot chocolate which I had only tried from the costa vending machines before, and this was made so so much better, I didn’t think my drink would be so good! Even came with a tiny Toblerone bar which was super cute! I just wish they had chocolate dust to take along with the sugar, salt and stirrers, but can’t complain as my drink was amazing! I’ll definitely be back here! Service was amazing and my drink didn’t take too long to make.

Staff were very helpful and accommodating with our order of 3 bacon baps, 1 sausage bap, two teas, a hot chocolate and a mocha. Food served in a timely manner and everything tasted great.

Fantastic service and coffee the atmosphere is a challenge as your in a dark area of the shopping centre but overall staff are excellent

Visited Costa in Ashton-under-Lyne Town centre precinct, ordered 2 reg americanos and 1 small americano to take out, assistant asked me to repeat my order 5 times and each time she confirmed back to me incorrectly, then a male assistant said she had charged me incorrectly, when I went to pick the coffee up another assistant was putting in almond milk which I did not ask for. The whole service was terrible so disorganised. Another 2 female members of staff behind the counter were instead of doing their job were laughing and giggling. Won't be visiting again. I usually go to the Ashton Moss or Snipe Costas and get good service.

My order was wrong, I asked for cream on my Americano, it came without and my daughters hot chocolate was missing marshmallows and cream.

I go in this Costa fairly often, and have for many years. The staff have always been exceptional, the best in any cafe I've ever been to, with only one or two exceptions and they in the last few months. Overall, they have the knack of choosing incredibly helpful and polite individuals. The cafe itself is not as clean as it used to be (cobwebs on windows and debris behind furniture for long periods) but they are always incredibly busy and I have no doubt they do their best. The staff are wonderful with the regulars, the elderly, and people who can probably be quite a trial to deal with! I've listened to them deal with odd customers with unfailing politeness and calmness.

Never have any problems with this place be it ordering on here or going in the shop.

The only thing i can moan about is that the lid from one of the drinks fell off and the some of the drink spilt

The best Costa Coffee shop anywhere, and Iv visited quite a few. Go most days if I can, chilled out place with excellent staff! So friendly and smiley 🙂 always busy because people love it here, just like me.

One thing that Costa gets right is the quality and taste of the coffee. Had the cortado. Very good, very overpriced. You expect this as you are paying for the surroundings and atmosphere that usually enhances your trip there. This location on the perimeter of Ashton-under-Lyne's shopping precinct, is sadly the worst Costa I have ever visited in hundreds of visits to different Costas across the UK. Run down, shabby, no atmosphere. Fortunately the cortado was its only saving grace. I even felt sorry for the staff who were pleasant enough but it can't be easy having to work in that particular Costa which is not close to this brands usual standards.

Everything we have received is cold. The hot drinks, cold maybe as we waited so long. The bacon muffin was cold and the shortbread was between the two drinks and melted what is that about ? Not impressed or happy at all.

Needs the first table for wheelchair users as seen 2 people having difficulty going around others to get to table .

Loved their hot chocolate. My children actually finished theirs which was a first. It was difficult connecting to their free WiFi though 😀. Small and cozy place. My children enjoyed the snacks too (can't remember the names). If you happen to around there, you should try their hot chocolate, you'll absolutely love it.
