Costa Coffee in Derby

My daughters and I love Costa on the ground floor level in derby intu centre the staff and managers go out there way to make things nice for you

Not my fav coffee shop at all,would rather support local businesses. Getting expensive,some drinks almost £5 which is ridiculous. Nice cakes but again almost £4 for a slice of cake. Coffee and cake getting to expensive to do nowadays.

Good value pastries but the cappuccino missed the mark.The shot of coffee was to hot which effected the duration of the foam topping.No idea how the same simple product can vary,the Cappuccino in the Belper Franchise is cheaper and better.

Staff were friendly, and the store was generally clean, but they possibly needed more tables and chairs. Food served well, and coffee tasted great.

A home away from home. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Sat in Costa Derby for 15 minutes my husband asked for the table to be cleared and still waiting even after we had got our drinks, in fact there are lots of tables with dirty pots on them and this is regular at this Costa in the centre shopping mall.

Great drinks and plenty of tables. Unfortunately tables were not cleared quickly enough and this made the place look unkempt. A little off putting. Some of the drink items were also out of stock. Not good for signature/seasonal choices.

After drinking coffee, I had severe stomach cramps and pain. Their treatment was good. The spoon used to stir the coffee was dirty.

Drinks didn't taste of black forest, asked for them to be extra hot but they weren't

Typical shopping centre coffee shop - full of folk sitting with one drink and chatting for over an hour - seating availability therefore is at a premium and you will be extremely lucky to rest your weary butts....

Will never forget the workers in this place stole my money out of my purse 😂 left my purse there came back and they said here it is with no money inside I got police to check cctv and they had came together to steal my cash out of it! I mean I know the wage isn’t great but stealing of a single mother? I’m sure karma got each and every one of them since 😘 don’t go here unless you want to get robbed! Don’t recommend

Great location Love the coffee Nice staff. I recommend to keep dogs on the floor and not on the seats as many bring dogs and some keep them on the seats which for some is not favorable for health and safety.

I was served by a lovely lady called Ellen, she was super sweet and friendly and made my boyfriend and I feel very welcomed. The iced tea was amazing! 💓

Great place to meet in the centre of town and the coffee is excellent. The staff are amazing and look after me and my guide dog.

I went to the bathroom whilst dad's fiancè was ordering at the tills she had 3 big bags with her and asked for some help to open the door amd asked help with the bags and he said no and was just straight up rude and my dad's fiancè said "ill struggle then shall I?" And he offered help at the last second.

This is a very busy costa and quite loud Inside But I enjoyed it still and our drinks where nice and hot as they always are. Was quite the que for the bathroom as the disabled was out of service. Not sure its been fixed by now though.

Very centrally located in the city center. Often crowded and fully packed during the weekends with no seating available. Coffee is decent, not too bad, but not great either. Seating is decent with comfy chairs, couches. They also stock some sandwiches and salads of M&S. They have got some really good flapjacks.

Love this Costa, really nice people who work there and who always do their best. Very good prices for excellent sized portions. Clean, tidy and plenty of seating of varying types: sofa, tables, large chairs and lower chairs. Charging stations along a high table along window.

One of my favourite places in Derby especially in the middle of a busy day at work. I often go to recharge ready for the afternoon.

I frequent this this place when in derby often, my main complaint is that almost every time I have visited in the past year there has been something broken..as in a piece of their equipment .I've often overheard staff talking about deliveries not coming or being delayed too whilst in there.the staff are friendly though the coffee is what you'd expect in a Costa consistent . I do feel though that maybe these issues shouldn't be known to the customer visiting , I feel this type of convo should take place in the staff room or out of sight from customers. There's usually quite a few p ople in here and there's a pleasant tone to the cafe.

It is very challenging to access in and out of the double door handle/ key coded toilets with my arthritis tbh. Otherwise, I had an enjoyable coffee with my wife.

Good place to visit in the middle of city centre for a nice paper cuppa??? but it was bit dirty and tables were messy. But overall feeling Good.

the toilets are never open and it is very overpriced!!!! always a long cue to order and takes a while to get your order back.

Great place for a coffee warm and cozy

I've classed the coffee as food since I only had a take-out drink this visit. However, the cafe was clean, staff were friendly and my drink as always tasted good. Lost a star as it was less than 20% occupied so atmosphere wasn't as lively as other Costa Coffees I have visited.

Went in just as they were closing for drinks. Staff lovely and service quick.

Poor service and a manager that just ignored it when issue was raised

Very slow waiting for order but happy with what I got. Just don't go in if your in a rush.

Staff manage to serve without even looking at you, very miserable. Bacon roll with two tiny, miserable rashers of bacon. Tables cluttered, and rubbish everywhere. Servers preparing drinks and putting their fingers inside clean cups. So sorry but a big ‘No’ from me. Is there actually a manager here or don’t they care?

The place has gone downhill. Now go in once a month, whereas it used to be 4-5 a week Hot chocolate? More like cold/luke warm. Cinnamon not offered on a chai, been like this for weeks. New loyalty scheme waste of time.

Good coffee and service. Did prefer their own lemon tart over the M&S version but one can't have everything...

Tried the new Strawberry and Mint tea really good, i will be having this again.

It only takes one member of staff your ruin your experience. Lad serving missed our tea order and rather curtly pointed out that the cheese toastie was vegan, "It says it right there..Sir". Wow! (It wasnt that clear), I would expect him to realise that not everyone picks up on every word clearly, especially as we both wore glasses. Rest of staff were very friendly.

To be honest, not much to say. A coffee shop chain like Costa has pros who figured out the right mix. So I can only say the experience at this location was in line with expectations for a quick stop for a hot drink.

Bit of wait staff busy with delivery orders,, always enjoy my latte and bacon cob.

My favourite place to go get a coffee and muffin, sit in one of their tall-backed winged chairs and read a book or watch people go buy through the floor-to-ceiling windows.

I usually go to the Costa inside "derbion". Lately, they keep opening the shop late at 8:15-20 so this doesn't work with my schedule. Today I fancied a change, glad I did. I was served by Karen who was very friendly and pleasant. Top-notch customer service, a much more welcoming and faster Costa. If it wasn't for Karen I think I would have started looking elsewhere for my morning coffee. This however is my new stop before work.

Had a salted caramel frostino but it had to be remade as it was warm and a midgey got in my drink

It's a great place to meet up with friends for a good catch up.

Went to the one in derby city centre, and was genuinely disappointed by the location of where it is, not in the nicest area, so didn't end up sitting outside. Otherwise other costs are excellent.

Great coffee and customer service! Only down side is that they're always short on staff which means a lot of the times, glasses and cutleries are left on the tables with no one to retrieve them. They can have a tray stand so people can clear their own trays. Everyone would be happy with that

Horrendous service has soon as walked into the Costa coffee Derbion center in Derby.. I asked to why not they did not have the tomato and basil panini, was told by a young lad who was botherd about closing the shop.. instead I ordered a piggs in blankets one instead, but still don't understand why they never had th motzerella one...I also had a red berry cold drink, it was to strong, not like it should have been... The staff were ok taking my... Order time staff kept looking at theîre watches or phones looking at the time.. I often like to come in Derby because I feel safe, I suffer massively from anxiety disorders, this visit was a disgrace. Also dirty tables.... with pots and plates on, and greasy tables.
