Had a lovely pitstop here. Company was good too, they approved of their cattachino. Glad they let pets in, makes all the difference.

Nice coffee shop and staff friendly

Not good experience at all I wanted to use my reward for their seasonal Mapel Hazel Latte, but they said it’s run out which it’s not good at all for the company. Why do you do a £2 reward for Maple Hazel, which is run out anyway!

Clean and tidy Costa with very friendly staff. It was a busy Saturday morning and very hot outside but had a nice experience getting one of the new seasonal drinks!

Always nice to go to costa, not our favourite location but staff are always welcoming nonetheless, always stop by if in the area. (Best Hot Chocolates ever)

Dirty place with tubish on the floors Just not clean at all

Dirty and run down costa. Rubbish on tables and staff not attending to it, toilets were also dirty. Not a pleasant experience

The girl behind the counter clearly didn't want to be there, she had a can't be bothered attitude was was not very welcoming at all. She didn't even say good morning or break out a smile even though it was only about 9.30am and it wasn't busy. If you don't want to be there get yourself another job.

It's OK but the queues are always so long and as someone who usually chooses a bottle drink, it's pretty frustrating having to wait sometimes 15 minutes behind all the super slow coffee making to pay for something which takes seconds to do. It's also incredibly noisy in this Costa and as someone with hearing difficulty, I find it quite uncomfortable I'm here.

Who does not love a coffee. Especially when your loyalty card gives a free one. Definitely a better experience when this place is not over busy.

Good service, very busy and staff managed well

Deliveroo has really hit this Costa. Don't expect food within 30 mins of arriving; if you're hungry, go elsewhere. I saw three people whose online orders were wrong and were working to fix that. Long queues and people bunching up while waiting fill the place in a mildly unpleasant way reminiscent of an airport. Door opening and closing makes the place cold. The quality of food is just not worth it.

Busy few days due to a fair at the cathedral. Knowing this was happening it would have been better to have experienced staff on the till. Cash only was available and the girl on the till appeared to have very little experience and lack of knowledge which cus3f long queues and no confidence in the business. Not a good experience.

Great if you want to feel really old! Its a cafe within the University but public have access too. So much nicer than the uni cafés i frequented over 40 years ago 🙂

I visited the Costa with my boyfriend about 10 minutes before closing. Most of the staff were lovely and happy for us to go up and get a coffee. Unfortunately the staff member behind the counter was not so lovely short blond hair barista didn't smile and had an annoyed face when serving including raising her voice "what?" When she didn't hear my order. She proceeded to then also huff and puff at the following customers after us which weren't quite decided on their order. I work in a cafe/ bakery and understand how frustrating it can be when customers order coffees etc just before close but could do a better job at hiding the frustration rather than letting it out. Not my best experience at Costa definitely won't be returning to this one.

Can be very busy and slow service for that reason. Tables inside can be a premium. Has a good atmosphere and cheerful staff.

Would definitely eat McDonald's here again in this Costa Coffee! No one suspected a thing, although they looked funny at me, it was a great meal! Great Chicken Legend meal with Coke!

Was a bit disappointed they didn't have the new bubble drink but oh well, it's a nice Costa in Ely.

Went for coffee-with friend today as we do every Tuesday, always sit in same place if possible, today there was some papers on the table and a jacket on the chair, she decided to move them, got moaned at by the person making coffee she was very rude told us we only stay in there for 5-10 minutes which is irrelevant, won’t be going in again if she is there.

I usually visit the Costa on the leisure park, although I had half an hour to kill in town so thought I'd have a coffee. I wish I hadn't bothered, there was one particular member of staff (had blue and red hair) who was so unwelcoming and rude I should have walked straight out. I was pleased her unpleasantness wasn't only directed at me as I witnessed it given to all customers after I got my coffee and sat down. It was the worst visit I've experienced in a Costa and won't bother with this shop again. I'm praying she doesn't get relocated to Costa on the leisure park!!!

Awful service, staff member was rude. No eye contact, no please or thank you, didn't even tell me how much I owed. Huge queue if customers waiting. And the coffee wasn't good.

Good Morning, I met up with My Cousin in Ely on the 10th May. We met at the Cathedral and went to Costa for drinks and I had a Birthday Coupon to use. We had planned to meet elsewhere, but the Cafe is Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. So we enjoyed our coffee and cake before heading down to the Riverside for a walk. A lovely and busy Cafe. Large enough for busy times. Friendly staff and quality. Just what you expect from Costa.

Lovely please lots of tables for sitting Clean which is very important But the waiting for your order it's a bit slow I think all the cafeterias should encourage the staff selling more earn 10P per coffee on top Or similar idea. After all they will sale more coffee and the warkers will earn more

Fast service and always friendly, no complaints really. It does get quite busy there but it's in he heart of the market so not surprising.

Good place to get a coffee while waiting for my car MOT!

Great place to go with family and friends as its quite large. It can be a become quite noisy due to being able to seat a larger number of customers. Service is good, as staff are always trained well and polite. Good options for vegan or lactose intolerant customers. I dont tend to eat here myself, as I'd prefer more vegan choices made available,plus gluten free.

It's a really very welcoming place now, friendly and professional stuff, nice and worm atmosphere. You may sit in how long do you like, there're a lots of tables in proper distance. Great cofe!

Really nice place, staff are friendly. Didn't give 5 stars because currently the limimed edition Christmas food/drink is not up to standards however considering the circumstances this year, they are doing rather well

Grubby inside on chairs and tables. Miserable staff only smiling and chatty amongst themselves. Too enthusiastic to get people out and get closed near to closing time by shutting up shop and staring at you yen minutes before time. Need lessons on how to be pleasant and customer friendly

Great view of Ely Cathedral and good coffee, no extra charge for plant milk. Tables needed clearing and wiping down and loos always a bit messy. It was very busy but need to get the basic tidiness better.

It's Costa, what more can you say - good enough coffee and nice food. Service is generally quite slow in this particular store though.

Reasonable Costa with polite staff and drinks to usual standards but all the tables look as though they haven't been cleaned in weeks.

Do like a bit of Costa. This one is especially nice to sit outside on a quiet morning with a view of the cathedral and the market Square.
