The staff are wonderful here. My local stop daily, coffee is always on point and food is fine.

Disappointing Experience at Costa Coffee – Poor Customer Service I’ve been a loyal customer of Costa Coffee for a long time and usually enjoy visiting different branches regularly with friends. However, my experience at this particular location has been consistently disappointing, and yesterday was the final straw that compelled me to write this review. Yesterday, around 9:30 AM, I went to order my usual medium salted caramel frappé and decided to use my free drink, which I earned after purchasing 10 drinks as part of Costa’s loyalty scheme. When I mentioned that I would use the free drink, the staff member taking my order responded with an ironic smile and then quietly said something to another employee (a skinny guy with tattoos who I believe is the manager). What followed was unacceptable. The drink I received was not a medium – it was visibly smaller, with very little ice, nowhere near the usual amount that’s typically ground for this type of drink. When I questioned whether it was a medium, the guy turned away, removed the cream from the smaller drink, and then poured the same mixture into a larger cup, scooping out extra from somewhere else to top it off. This made me feel extremely uncomfortable, as if I was being punished for using the free drink. This wasn’t an isolated incident. A few weeks ago, one of my friends bought a sandwich and a drink. After realizing he forgot to ask for ketchup, he went back to the counter to request some. To our shock, the same staff member (the skinny guy with tattoos) asked him to pay 10 pence for the ketchup. However, in the following days when we bought sandwiches again, none of the other staff members ever asked us to pay for the ketchup. This inconsistency in customer treatment further highlights the issue with this particular staff member’s behavior. My friend and I visit different Costa branches every day and order at least two drinks between us daily. We’ve never had these kinds of issues at any other Costa location. Are we supposed to feel embarrassed when using our free drinks? Does the owner deduct the cost of free drinks from the employees’ wages, which makes them treat us like we’re a burden? It certainly feels that way. Loyalty programs are meant to reward customers, not make them feel unwelcome or judged. Costa Coffee has always been a place where we’ve enjoyed spending time, but after repeated negative experiences at this location, I’m seriously reconsidering returning. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because no loyal customer should be treated this way.

I was having a really tough day. The staff saw that and kindly gave me a free muffin. A small act of kindness that has meant so much.

It's a hot humid day and the air conditioning isn't not working. The shop has doors propped open instead ☹️☹️ I therefore didn't stop and went somewhere else.

Got 2 salted caramel frappes hardly any caramel full of big lumps ice. They were busy but that's no excuse is it.

Very busy place, a meeting place for people

We love coming here Staff really friendly and afficiant,when we go in they know our order etc straight away 👍, Always clean and soon as customers leave the tables are cleared and cleaned

Always a friendly greeting and a nice coffee. Sometimes busy but normally a free seat.

The staff are friendly and the environment is calm comfortable and makes a great place to work, with a lot of people doing so.

The coffee expresso tastes like water and is not coming again.

I don’t know what’s wrong with this shop . Service was rude and waiting too long for a tuna sandwich and other customers was served before us and they come after us . I think that we face a racism here . I have been a regular customer at Costa Coffee but not any more . Rubbish

Lovely coffee, shame about the manager. Extremely rude and somewhat aggressive trying to enforce track n trace. You give some people a little power and it goes straight to their head. No problem doing it, just there’s ways to speak to people.

Newly built coffee shop. Very nice surroundings to enjoy a snack or coffee.

I totally understand the safety precautions due to Covid19, but it is very rude to give people a lecture on how to properly wear a face mask. It was done in a patronising manner, with customers around. Needless to say - very embarrassing. Add insult to injury, the employee himself has been seen taking his mask off twice. We were then pointed to the door. A gestapo like experience. Culprit: a male employee, doing a shift at 14:00 on 28/11/20.

Service was amazing! There was even a right fussy older woman in front of me in the queue, that had never ordered a drink that probs wasn't a glass of wine or cup of tea before, but the barista took the time to get it just right for her

Good service & meets all Covid 19 requirements

Cheese cake shop open only for takeaway coffee. Then sat drinking our coffee at the Memorial Monument at Mapperly Top. Remembering our family members who we have lost in the 2nd WORLD WAR. Dedicated our prayers in silence. All thanks to *Captain Thomas Moore* who survived & a Legend now.............very special man........

Great coffeé ? But it's in the Name Costa ! Costa lotta money , it's half the cost at McDonald's next door for equally as nicer tasting flat white , and as far as the bacon rolls go , their bacon is classed as cheap cuts or low grade ? Does that make sense ?
