Costa Coffee in City of London, Westminster

I had an iced mocha. It was ok.

It was a business that we got tired of during our London trip. We entered it by chance, but we loved it very much. Everywhere is sparkling clean, the toilets are spotless, and there are sockets in the sitting area. It's a great place to grab a coffee and charge your phone.

The best chocolate I've ever had

The service was poor (staff messing around, unnecessary wait time) Hot chocolate was cold. Asked if they were doing the birthday deal and was given a sassy rude reply. Disappointing experience.

It's always busy and the staff are too slow. If you want a coffee before your next bithday go somewhere else.

They’ve reduced the seating area now, so trying to find somewhere to have a rest can be harder work. As this is part of the cinema the prices are higher than usual. We asked for one shot lattes but got extra shot lattes and we were charged the additional money with no offer of refund.

Lady with the glasses should smile more often, awful service by this woman and very unfriendly we’ll go to starbucks next time 😉

The coffees were good. But when we saw the waitress go upstairs to clean the tables, the toilets, a phone stuck to her ear, with her waitress outfit on and then go back down to serve customers, well, the coffee suddenly, he tasted different... To be avoided in terms of hygiene.

Gingerbread latte was OK-ish, cappuchino was alright. Good for a quick coffee, but dine-in at a proper coffee place would yield better bang-for-your-buck in my opinion.

having your name wrong on the cup is okay but don’t take chances on getting the drink wrong.. make sure that your host has got you right because i don’t think mostly people working at costa are treated as a work “family” so they’re just doing their hours. just my assumption though.. coffee is great, i am glad i don’t have diabetes so i use loads of sugar to cut out on the bitter coffee taste but hey, isn’t what you’re looking for? Costa or Greggs.. both are my number 1 choices for coffee places.

Would put 0 if I could. Staff was rude, and I had to say the order 2 times, and then they got the order wrong, definitely the worst costa I have been to

Costa cafeterias, good coffee, good habitente, good service. The muffins are addictive.

I what in to order a coffee and no staff at the counter I what be going back to this Costa even if it near the cinema I pop to Coffee Nero around the corner one or the other one at least they're staff ready to take your order

Horribly and intentionally slow. 3 employees and took 9 minutes to get an Americano. No other people in line except for what appeared to be a manager discussing her weekend activities. Sense of urgency would be nice but even non-urgency would be quicker.

2 Frappe and 3 hot drinks. One of the hot chocolate was stone cold...took it back and got a new 'hot' chocolate. Expensive for almost £19. It waa Leicester Sq. so yeah. Should have gone to Wetherspoons round the corner for half the price minus the frappe...

Should you not ask if your costumers have the Costa card?

Awful. Picked our food and drink. Was unable to use costa app or voucher. Server just looked blankly when I asked why. Useless

You can drink your coffee from take away cups, even if you drink it locally.

Staff just gossiping and seemingly having a good time while we stood waiting for our drinks. Thanks I guess

It’s a franchise not an original. Waiting time is too long, not very well organised service area.

To avoid flee Scandalous, the manager refused to serve a cup of hot water to heat a baby potty for an 18-month-old child. Courage to these exemplary employees who follow the example of their manager's incivility! Place to avoid the French are perhaps to be banned from this establishment!

A very well and well managed coffee shop located in the foyer of Odeon Lux cinema in the square. The service is fast from the very polite staffs.

Flies all over the cakes and on ceiling , when mentioned to staff did nothing about it !! & was very rude ,!! Shocking service & levels of hygiene, Avoid at all costs !!!

Worst Costa experience in London. Staff too busy gossiping among themselves to fulfil or take orders thus causing a congested queue. Choosing to close 30mins early than stated hours, refusing service while there are still customers wanting to order.

Very unfriendly staff didn't have any of the ingredients in to make a frappe. My latte was lukewarm and tasted quite bitter.

Rudest staff ever, especially the lady with brown hair. In my cappuccino there were traces of oil, I don't know why. If you are especially a tourist I really don't recommend.

I've always loved Costas food and drink, and I've not had many problems with a Costa. This was different. Fortunately we (me and my mum) were the only ones in the queue. We told them our order and they started to input it, very slow. They didn't ask whether we wanted take out or eat in and they entered my mum's snack wrong on the machine but we didn't say anything. Once ordered they took ages to make the drinks and chattered to each other and then took longer for the food as I believe they did my macaroni cheese wrong and had to redo it. Won't be coming back here again. There's so many flies too and there isn't in any other Costa. The extra star is because the food and drink still tastes nice.

The staff working in this Odeon Costa are so rude, unfriendly and lazy. Waited 10 minutes in the queue when my turn came I asked the staff for caremal fraff he said 1 sec and went chatting and giggling with his colleague for 6 minutes. Finally when he came back he asked me what's the order? I said caremal fraff ! He said hoo we ran out of all the fraffs. You can go to other Costa around the corner. I am pretty certain they had it but he was too lazy to make ine for me. Any way I went and looked for the other Costa outside. There was no other Costa around. When I looked in Google map it shows all the way down in piccadilly circus. I didn't get my drink and missed good 10 minutes of my movie as well. Management in cost should better if not let other coffee franchise be there.

myself and other customers there at the time had the worst experience ever as the staff were running around like headless chickens, being rude, getting way too many orders wrong and multiple menu items were out of stock

When someone is correcting you, means that he knows some things more than you know. It is not necessary to look at him like your enemy. Jesus!!! Be humble and learn next time.

I ordered a frappe with cream. It had no taste. It was filled to the brim, with d the lid wasn’t put on properly so it dripped all over. I looked for napkins everywhere only to find that they were all kept at the til.

I'm a big fan of Costa coffee, but my rating is only 2 stars. In my country was Costa cancelled, so I traveled to London also for enjoying my favourite coffee. The taste of coffee is delicious, the staff was good, but why are you using ONLY paper cups? Is it not possible to drink my favourite coffe from regular cups? I'm really sad and disappointed 😔🥺

Opening hours are wrong on here and the Costa app so no idea what time they are open. Got there to find them shut before 7pm which is ridiculously early for a popular West End cinema. I have tweeted Costa to get this clarified.

I was here with my friends today, asking for some take away drinks. When I ordered I told the lady loud and clear that I'd like my small mocha with a single shot of coffee and with hazelnut syrup. My friends ordered a chai latte and a flatwhite. Now when I got my drink, I asked if it was made with only one shot like I asked and a guy said no, so he offered to remake it, so I said OK. He remade it and when I had the first sip and realised there was no hazelnut syrup in it. I had to queue up again to ask for my already paid but forgotten syrup. Also my friend's chai latte was very very frothy which shouldn't be like that. Flatwhite was OK. Not impressed at all...

Nice indoor place to have a rest with coffee and toilets. Lol We ordered a hot medium Latte £3.25, tastes milky not much coffee beans. Feel warm and very glad to receive a flower balloon from next table, Gracias!

The franchise chain almost quarantees quality drinks and snacks but do sometimes fall under pressure. At quiet times this is an ideal opportunity to get a free couple of hours being entertained by the unknowing passing crowd. Even watching the queue trying to get into the crammed Wetherspoons next door can be fun, especially if the kids want to go to M and Ms, instead of having a pint. Some days you would think that it was the start of London Fashion Week judging by the clothes on show. Surely they are not real daywear.

Enjoyed a lovely Costa Cappuccino and a toasted ham and cheese sandwich. Costa Coffee can be found inside the Odeon cinema. It has seating outside, and was perfect for a warm sunny Autominal Sunday. Great for people watching in Leicester Square. Toilets can be found on the ground floor just beyond where the barista prepare the coffee.

Enjoyed costa coffee here. Efficient and good customer service. Will go again.

Awful customer service at this branch ! Ask for a salted caramel frostino with oat milk when I finally got it it didn’t have coffee so sent it back to then get it back without the caramel ! Staff are so rude and not helpful at all with terrible attitude !

Had an Irish Velvet Latte, was given no sprinkles or stars, and had to ask why Cream was not included. And why have Costa stopped putting Cherries on its Black Forest Hot Chocolates.

Tea cup was dirty had to send it back. My coffee was cold had to send it back. Staff apologize for it and replaced cup and gave a hot coffee. Just not a great visit. Expected more.

Decent coffee as usual. Didn't quite take the edge off scraping 1m down the side of my car in the carpark next door. Should've gone for a vodka.

Costa is always a good choice. I especially love the hot spiced apple and ginger bread for christmas season.

It's a franchise so you can't spend your points.

Awful. Never see anything like this. I can't believe we are in central London! Slow service, all kind of communications problems, 3 people behind the counter and all of them don't know what they are doing. I ordered green tea and I had to send it back 3 times until i finally got my green tea. They don't even know what a green tea is. Such a shame for the company. Manager needs to train his people. Never again.

My goodness where do i start, lack of communication causing all sorts of problems behind the counter which is resulting in VERY slow service, numerous wrong orders handed out & i was only in the place 15 mins. IF there is any management in this place they need to be given a shake or their p45... #shambles

I enjoy Costa coffee shops but this was the most grotty, dirtiest coffee shop I have been to. Customers were literally building paper cup pyramids on any free table as the rubbish piled up. Chairs and floor sections were filthy. Also got our order wrong and we found a piece of plastic packet in one of our coffee drinks.

This is a review for Costa in Leicester Square Station. Couple of the staff (female) very rude. If you buy a pack of biscuits or single item she will snap "is thay all you are buying??" - followed by a scowl. Not sure why & very odd. i think theres too many ppl working in that small space as staff look miserable or snapping at each other. Will stick to Pret

Need some kind of notice telling people they cant use points theyve collected to buy products in store. Service is slow as well when people dont understand very well. Did have 2 stars but after i was asked by a begger for change it went to 1 star. When you only have 2 female staff and they pretend not to see whats going on is bad. He could of been anyone and if it was busy stole anything from anyone.

A very slow service and ran out of printed receipts! Be aware this store does not accept Costa club cards (so no points, as there was no reciept!) Unfortunately you cannot pay with a Costa gift card either! I would recommend finding another store if this is important to you. Other than that, the drinks were tasty as you'd expect from any Costa, the store was tidy and the staff seem polite.

No toilets on site....you have to use the hotel next door which are on the basement floor.
