Excellent service good friendly atmosphere

First time visiting Bradford. Came to this drive through and met with a server who needs a cookie to stick a smile on her face and you'll know who it is and who I mean when you visit. I ordered and I then was asked to take a seat as I was awaiting my order and it would be given to me. After waiting I had to go up and ask and the tray was waiting for me. I said its okay ill grab it as I was told I would be given my order at my seat. I was told yeah that is why we were about to go give you your order with... I was then met with some giggles from the sidekick whos working the drive thru who may assume the position in agreeing with chuckles. Cake served was stale and another server changed it and again after taking a seat some more pathetic giggling. Chuckles and her comrades made it a very horrible for someone who was just made a flying visit and who won't be returning. I will also be making a formal complaint on the lack of customer service skills but got the idea it was to do with not falling under the right shading!

25/01 15:00 For me personally I’ve never had issues with Costa service before, today’s was beyond a joke. The staff themselves, both nonchalant and more concerned about gossiping on their headsets. A incident of a lady walking into the counter with her tray, in which she’d spilt scorching hot liquid on her wrists, in which the staff quite honestly didn’t even blink an eye lid, other customers helped the lady in which you’d expect the manager or staff to check her burns, recommend cold water or just something, but not even an ‘are you okay’ just continued getting on with working, which is poor customer service and just a genuine lack of empathy. The lady who served us at the till was left with mopping the mess in which she’d huffed to herself ‘why do I get left with this job’ from working in customer service, that wouldn’t be tolerated. Bare in mind we’d bought cakes and toasties in which the cake was shoved in the wrapper which defeats it being over £3 quid as it is was then squashed. The overall service compared to other Costa’s was slow, poor customer service and just genuinely looked like the staff were there for a good laugh rather than consider their customers.

Asked for a whole milk latte, instead they added syrup, I like my coffee to taste of coffee. When I asked to switch my drink the cocky female said we don’t do that as I didn’t bring it back immediately. The previous manager Lindsey would never let her staff speak like that to customers. I didn’t argue and just ordered a new regular latte. Cup was extremely light which normally means my latte will be frothy (see photo below). Again I complained, the manager and cocky checkout girl started muttering to themselves. Then she replied “I think it’s an excellent latte, Ryan’s been making drinks for years”. All this without tasting it, glad she’s not a judge on masterchef. I replied it was below average, as most costa baritas are able to deliver a latte without 25% froth. Manager remained quiet throughout, didn’t apologise or ask to remake. Instead, let the cocky checkout girl smirk whilst I begged to differ. That’s nearly £8 wasted in this Costa. Not happy, wont be returning!

Only used the drive through on a couple of occasions and the staff seem like they are miserable. The cappuccino are not the best from costa as they taste a bit milky even with an extra shot but sometimes its better than nothing.

One of the better Costas. Friendly staff and new furniture make it a pleasant place to visit. Prices still too high. I can't understand why other European countries can consistently sell good tasting coffee at much lower prices, eg Spain £1.15 for a café con leche. Even in Vietnam, it's a similar price. Visited 12-11-24 and they were playing Christmas songs!!! Lost my custom until the new year. Nero, here I come

App was not working to pre order for collection today, member of staff not very helpful which is unusual as staff on the whole are brilliant here.

Used the drive thru to buy drinks. The young gentleman serving was helpful and friendly and engagaed in small chat. Service was quick and drinks were usual great Costa quality

Costa at Canal Road is one of the better coffee houses. The location is perfect. it's clean, modern and laid out well. There's a drive-through here, but I prefer to sit in. The baristas are polite, professional and extremely efficient. The drinks I ordered were delivered piping hot and to my preferred specification. Prices are still reasonable. I paid around £8 for 2 lattes with extra shots and one with caramel syrup. I'm not a huge fan of the available food in coffee houses and Costa is no real exception. There is a limited variety, mostly focusing on sweets like muffins, cakes and calorific treats. With that said it's not a restaurant as such and if you want a quick bite like a sandwich you'll be in luck. II you just want a decent coffee at a "reasonable" price in a good location, then this is a good place.

Ordered two Frappes and an iced Mocha and went through the drive through hoping it would be quicker. I was asked to wait in the parking bay and they would bring out the drinks to us (no problem). After 15 minutes of waiting, nothing, so went in to ask where our order was. By then they had only prepared the Mocha, no Frappes in sight, but told they would be a few more minutes. So another 5 minutes later the drinks were finally brought out. So all in all 20 minutes to get my drive through order. I know making the Frappes and drinks takes time, but 20 minutes, but too much time.

I ordered my drink, as I was waiting a group of people jumped the queue and were served before me, the staff completely ignored me and I had to wait until he had served the group that came in after me for my drink, he didn’t even let me know my drinks were ready. Service is rubbish, staff rude. I realise there are an abundance of Costa’s in Bradford, my advice stay away from this one. Shambles

Staff at the counter were far from friendly, in fact they were rude and ignorant. Made other people’s first drinks that were behind us in the queue. Asked for a cup of water which was not provided. No plans to revisit!

Hub and i visit this Costa Coffee in Bradford almost every day of the week as it is nearby to where we live and within walking distance. Good range of sandwiches, Cakes, and Drinks.The Staff are friendly and attentive, adequate seating inside and some seats outside. However there has been an influx of people working on laptops lately sometimes 4 people in the shop, this can be annoying as quite often 1 person will take a table with 4 seats whilst they're working on their laptop. We witness this daily, basically using the coffee shop as an office, it isn't right as taking up seating that other customers need. Another problem is the amount of squealing children coming in and parents ignoring their tantrums. This is unacceptable as people come into coffee shops for a drink and conversation, makes it difficult to hear yourself speak, my husband often has to take his hearing aid out as it's so noisy. A Coffee shop isn't a Crèche or an Office!!

Shocking service! After using the app and it telling you to stay in the car we waited 20 mins before trying the drive through, told them we have been waiting 20 mins for are order to be brought out. One of the staff said she was too busy! 4 staff and 3 customers is busy. Still had to drive round again because there was missing items

This is our local coffee shop and have lots of good service and coffee . Staff are hard working and very friendly. Great selection of food especially plant based . Best coffee.

Plenty of parking, comfy seating and choice on the menu. Only the toilet left a little to be desired. One was out of order and the second obviously well used and a bit wet.

I use this coffee shop daily as I pass it on the way to work, all staff are friendly however today morning the blonde lady at the window (16/01/2024) rolled her eyes when I didn’t realise she was stood at the window, I did apologise to her but her attitude stinks and I feel she needs training on customer service!! Fix up Costa!!

Closed when it said it was open, ignorant staff

Toilet was smelly and dirty. Service was quick but the server took my order down incorrectly, they replaced it without issue. Cheesecake was a bit stale tasting, not Costas usual standard

Shocking service. 10 mins to tell us the baby change/disabled toilet is out of use. Only one toilet in use and not exactly clean. Had to change my baby on the floor of the normal toilet. Staff are clueless and the service was atrocious. Need to buck up your ideas. RUINED MY BRAND NEW TRAINERS BECAUSE OF YOUR DIRTY TOILET FLOOR

Nice new building. Not so busy as its just on outskirts of city centre. Car park is a bit limited. Staff were a bit cold. Cutlery was absolutely filthy, with food still on.

Not been to this Costa before. Driven past many times. Nicely set out because of the drive thru facility. Has the feel of a place where you make a quick visit rather than linger. Plenty of parking. Full range of food available. Plenty of staff obviously to cater for drive thru customers too. Enjoyable experience. Will visit again. Has the Aldi store 150m away so obviously tie both trips together

Brandon is the GOAT (according to my boys who are 6 and 8 years old :) We have been calling in at this Costa quite regularly for a treat with the kids. Both the drive thru and sit in are wonderfully run and the coffee and treats are always amazing. But the true star of the show is Brandon, he is always happy and brightens up everyones day. He goes out of his way to have a chat with customers (and I've noticed that for some people this means a lot to them). My boys love the cheese and tomato toastie and we make a habit now of calling by on a Saturday just to say Hi to Brandon and get our toastie, Frappe and coffee :) . Thank you so much Brandon, a true credit to Costa :)

Hub and i visit this Costa Coffee in Bradford several times a week as it is nearby to where we live. Staff are friendly and attentive,the shop is a reasonably clean & tidy standard with comfortable seating and cosy atmosphere.

Haven’t been for a while as we showed up twice and it was either closed (during open hours) or so short staff it wasn’t worth the wait. Shame really as it’s a good little spot for car watching with the children

Asked for a mocha with one shot of coffee, got an extra shot instead. Asked for the chocolate twist to be warmed it was stone cold. Extremely slow service for a drive thru and unfriendly staff. Better to go to the one in salts mill instead.

Nice cup of coffee. Serviced quickly and the staff were nice and friendly. I only had a coffee and no food but didn't want to give no stars incase people thought I had bad food.

Supposed to close at 7 for eat in they Chuck you out at 6:45 or ask you to leave close at 7 can’t be served at 6:50 drive thru closes at 9 but they will put the cone out to say there closed at 8:40 and if eat in is till 7 why can u only get in disposal cups After 6 when the place is open till 9 u can put dishwasher on after 7

Very poor service this late morning, staff barely polite and took 20 mins to get served. Appears to be a staff shortage however as a paying customer this isn't my issue. Avoid this one if you can

It was Friday, late afternoon, I ordered three warm drinks; two lattes with sugar and an Americano with milk. The male staff member acknowledged my order at the telecom. The female staff member at the pickup window was unprofessional and lacked customer service to say the least. Further, I was disappointed to learn the lattes did not have sugar in them and no milk with the Americano. I am in no doubt this was intentional.

First time here, friendliest staff of any Costa I have visited

Poor quality, order was incorrect did not put gingerbread syrup on order despite repeating it back at the time, on returning the drink just added the syrup making it taste like gingerbread luke warm milk, food needed returning to reheat to required temperature. Overcharged for packet of biscuits to next one in our party saying he'd forgotten the syrup previously despite it being on the order. Hope to receive a response.

Costa Skipton is obviously suffering the same as every other coffee shop in the Hospitality business, struggling for staff. The Manager did her utmost to attempt to reduce the size of the queue, but it wasn't helped by the ineptitude of a younger staff member who could do nothing right or even attempt to sort her errors except to act like a rabbit caught in a cars headlights!!

I like this branch but they had flies the other day on the Crossaints! I pointed that to staff and I was told Yeah "we have an issue"!!!I hope they do something about it. Hygiene is a priority.

Not a bad place for a cup of coffee. However, they no longer offer the 'forces discount' for military personnel.

Been there previously & you could have a coffee in peace. On this occasion, the staff were so loud & constantly dropping stuff that the whole experience was marred. They had run out of usual iced latte, the alternative which was an iced cappuccino or something which was so bitter even after adding 4 sachets of sugar. Costa, train your staff to work in a quiet manner & stop shouting at each other . Previous experience was 5* but this is definitely a 1*

Called in today to meet up with my sister. Another hot day so i just had an iced water and my sister had a Coconut milk latte, which was much enjoyed.😊

I don't understand how there are 3 different closing times on a Sunday. Online says 18:30, store door says 18:00 and as I came to study (for a few hours) I asked the batista before ordering and they said closes at 17:00. Ended up leaving without ordering. Had this issue a few times and won't be back.

The staff was really friendly and helpful. When I asked if they could carry the drinks over due to mobility problems, they did not hesitate, and helped ne straight away. Nothing was too much trouble and they couldn't do enough to help us. Would definitely go again and fully recommend it to anyone

The operation times are completely wrong and false. Drove up here on the 23rd of July 2022 at approximately 9:30pm and was listed as open as this particular store closes at 10:00pm. Store was closed at 9:30pm which shouldn’t have been the case. Others customers were driving away in anger as they were deceived just like me. If your store is closed at 9:30pm then list that on your operating hours. Absolutely disgraceful to say the company has now become a part of Coca-Cola. Seem like they may need to place the appropriate management to investigate why staff are closing early and heading off home.

Pricey for what you get, especially if the coffee you get is only tepid.

Really nice staff. Decor is obviously same as others but it's the staff that make this a homely comfortable and relaxed environment. outdoor tables and outdoor bins could do with more attention but otherwise very clean.

Relaxing place to have coffe and catch-up with friends.

So we turned up at Bradford Stanley and on the door it said, closing at four today. We turned up at 14:50 so we decided to sit in. The guy started serving us and his colleague came up half way through and shouted rudely 'takeaway only'...at 14:50... To which the guy serving us also seemed confused, but then ended up getting shouted at, which we also heard. So we got given everything in boxes etc but charged for sitting in which makes it so much more expensive. We then decided to do the charity stick pull, we did it and let the man know we did it and passed him a 50p he then said we should of paid first and said that my son had cheated..cheated....which made him so upset and made him cry, which ruined a fantastic day, because it had been my son's birthday party with his friends today, and we decided to take him out for a special drink and he ended up feeling like he had been naughty when he hadn't, on his special day. I work in hospitality as a manager and wouldn't dare let my team speak or act like they did. All shouting and messing about behind the counter like it's a doss house. They were more bothered about getting home as soon as they could rather than doing their jobs. Never had a problem with this Costa before, but have always felt the team is very unprofessional with all the shouting and messing about. Extremely disappointed and kind of makes me and my family never want to use Costa again. It takes a lot for me to ever make a complaint because I work in the same industry and know sometimes you can't do right for wrong, and it's hard work. But I had to do one this time as I have never been so appalled. Will not be returning to this branch. If I could give 0 stars I would. Thank you for ruining my son's birthday.

Kerri and the staff always go above and beyond to help when I visit with my friends. My friends both have disabilities and Kerri recognised there needs and helps each time we visit with the orders being customized to suit our requirements. The staff are all friendly and professional and we have not experienced any issues with our food.
