Small chip shop on the main road from windy to Queensbury, got some chips and they were greasy and undercooked

Very decent grub! Not greasy, crispy batter, chips could do with an extra... minute, but I think that's more personal preference. I'll be going back when I'm hungry at lunchtime

Bloke was OK friendly but Really small fish for the price and the chips were so soggy and pale ended up in the bin and half a bag instead of full I've never seen chips so white and disgusting Not worth the money and won't go back

I once said "Best fish and chips in the area." But after yesterday, I've changed my mind. The fish I had was overcooked and very dry. It was mostly un-chewable. The batter was extremely greasy and not as hot as usual. Such a shame because it's previously been my favourite local fish shop.

Called in just for a tray of chips and gravy this afternoon and I was so impressed. The chips were perfectly cooked and the lovely lady who served me was incredibly polite. I've not been in for a while but it didn't disappoint. It is spotlessly clean and a lovely traditional fish and chip shop. Mind your head on the low door frame as you enter!

One of few places that sell Haddock, which is by far the tastiest fish battered in chippies. Chips good (not perfect) but the fish is immaculate.

Fish was nice, however the chips were dry and didn't seem like a fresh batch. Sadly this isn't the first time, so won't be getting them from here again.

First and last time I will use this shop fish not too bad but the fish cake l wouldn't feed to a dog it was that bad

Had a cake butty was horrible, the batter was dark like eating a stick of rock, I'm sure it had been re-battered and fried again grey inside not good at all.

First time visiting, decent fish and chips, not greasy, only me in the shop so service was quick if not particularly friendly, price average for the area, may use again if passing.

The best fish and chip shop I know I travel about 4 miles from home to go here and why its the batter they use lovely ang fluffy hate it when you get part cooked batter on your fish but not here and you can get scraps on your fish and chips lovely old world shop and good price food well worth the journey

I've been to this take away many times and would usually give a 4 or a 5 star, however on this visit the fish and chips had obviously been standing for a long time. I actually ended up eating a few chips and throwing away the rest. I will go once more as they are usually nice, however if I get stale food again, it will be my last visit.

First time visit - Nothing special but not bad either.. bit greasy, chips kinda pale and fish batter not particularly crispy but.. the fish itself was nice and chunky with a good taste. Oh.. and do watch your head on the way out as I forgot the sign and banged mine much to the amusement of the youngsters queuing outside lol.

The Fish and chips was a little greasy and the fries weren't very crispy, the fish excellent but a little greasy service was decent overall wouldn't go higher than a 3.5.

Best chip oil in Bradford. Probably the best in Yorkshire. A bit pricey, but you do get what you pay for.

Its ok as a back up Sunday night tea but not the best fish and chips in the area.

Best one around! Been going here since I moved in the neighbourhood about 5 years ago, service is quick and staff are competent & friendly, prices are very good & and they have lunch promotions. The food is always tasty and NOT GREASY which is the best thing about this place, definitely the best fish shop around, iv'e been to all the chippy's nearby, and this is defo the best one and least greasy, the curry sauce is without a doubt best from here. Update 2019: Prices have gone up a fair bit!

So, everyone has an opinion on fish and chips. I personally think this is a nice chip shop. They have a good choice including special orders. And they do tokens, so you get a free order after so many purchases. Give it a try if its not too far away.

What a change to visit an old-fashioned good old chippy which has obviously hardly changed in many years. Good value and great quality. Card payment available to compliment it's earthy roots.

Worst £14 I’ve ever spent !! Foods gone straight in the bin !Rock Hard warmed up cold chips and the fish was disgusting! Thick soggy batter , the batter inside wasnt even cooked ! Not been here for a couple of years but after tonight won’t ever be going again !

Great Bradford chippy. Used to buy my chips here as a teenager in early 70's - they were good then and the quality hasn't diminished. Gorgeous fresh fish.

Not good when paying for fish and chips twice and get home and find only 1 portion in the paper
