I regularly visit Costa in Broughty Ferry and always find it a clean and friendly well run establishment. I received an email to offer me a cake on the house for my birthday, which was a really nice gesture. Thank you to the Manager and staff for all the hard work they do and friendly service.

Staff attitude very dismissive and rude, the guy is obviously learning in the till and asked her a question - she waved her hand and was just rude. I requested something else and told no - which I took it to mean that was out of stock. Usually really enjoy here and hope this is a one off!

Employee having a bad day. Went in for a coffee on the 10th June at 5:30pm. Never been before. Read the sign as I went in. You had to find a empty table and check in on line it said. I did exactly that. Using the specific number for the branch. Then I sat and wondered what happens next. Decided to go up and order. When I spoke to the server he asked me to check in. I told him I had. He said I had to prove it. But when you scan your phone over the barcode and input your details it disappears after that so I asked him how I could show him. I hadn’t been asked to prove it before. He ignored what I was saying and said I had to check in. I said I had. He said I had to show it in front if him to show proof. He made me feel like I was lying, and the man in the queue behind me was listening to this. And I’d read the signs on entry and followed them. Then as I stood and scanned the barcode again, he picked up his mop and cloth and left me standing there and proceeded to clean the floor at some tables a short distance away. As I had already completed check in on my phone when I rescanned it to show proof to him it was already filled in so I stood with my phone at the order spot and waited and waited and he carried on cleaning. The man behind me looked at me and raised his eyebrows and looked as puzzled as me. The other server was busy serving a lady in front of me. I waited several minutes and I mean several minutes then went back to my table and said to my partner could we leave please. As I felt upset. And we went out. I felt totally disrespected and I never complain and to be honest have never been treated like that before. It felt very bizarre but I will never go to Costas again.

Been there with my boyfriend and my brother while visiting Broughty Ferry. As they were new to Costa they didn't know that to take and David suggested them some cake and flavoured coffee. My boyfriend is always getting that lemon muffin since then, and my brother wanted so bad to take back home that irish coffee syrup. We usually prefer supporting local businesses, however Costa in Broughty Ferry feels so cosy and welcoming it is our exception to the rule.

Another great Costa branch. Has really benefited from a recent upgrade, making it appear more spacious. Great coffee, good cakes. Great place to rest in Broughty Ferry.

This Costa has arguably the best location in affluent Broughty Ferry. It is busy at all times. The internal layout is not great, and when full it is cramped. Sadly it is also fast sinking into one big shabby mess; bashed, worn out fittings and fixtures, chipped paint work, an air of grubbiness. This has been my coffee shop of choice, even before it was owned by Costa, since I was 14. Costa need to overhaul and refurbish this establishment, bring back some of its previous charisma.

Got to be the worst cup of coffee I've had I a while. Bitter, left a terrible taste, had to go and buy a soft drink elsewhere to take the taste away. The barista needs more training!

After a short 2 hour flight arriving at lunchtime we were fairly hungry, so thought we'd have a short break and lunch before our 1.5 hour drive home. I would have been totally embarrassed had we brought our foreign friends with us as the floor was not only littered but filthy. The tables hadn't been cleared and were also dirty. Coffee in a paper cup does nothing for the coffee taste and neither does serving it red hot. The microwaved panini was not crisp as it would have been when it is grilled. Overall a completely disappointing experience - enough to make us say - never again!
