Clark's 24 Hour Bakery in Dundee City

Was a regular place I'd visit until they halved the portions and put the price up. Now it's just overated an overpriced. Never have the same staff when you go either so I'm guessing they don't get paid enough for what they do..

Ive been going to Clarks Bakery for over 20 years, but i most definitly wont be going back, and i'll tell everyone that i know not to go back either. If someone is preparing or serving food, then surely the server should put on fresh/new gloves for every order? Clearly new gloves for every customer isnt important for Clarks? Why would i want to buy food from here and eat it when the gloves and hands (not every server/employee even bother to put them on) of the server have been touching anything other than the food that ive bought and want to eat??....steer clear of here, clearly hygiene means nothing to Clark's? .....if it did, then the owners would make sure that every customer gets their food prepared from someone wearing fresh gloves. I thought that was standard procedure?. No, not at Clarks, i wont be back, and i'll make sure that anyone i know wont be back either. Its an absolute disgrace.

Just paid 7 pound for a panini . 2£ surcharge for a spoon of sweet corn and a spoon of lettuce. Extortionate

Came in today ordered mac and cheese and chips .was asked if i wanted small or large .asked for large . Got home .5 min later as had my car .ended up heating it up in microwave as cold .chips were soggy and not a lot for large portion .only thing good was the pastry was so looking forward to it .quite dissapointed .

Spotlessly clean, friendly staff and the pies, pizza and cakes were all delicious. Well worth the long journey and great to see a business like this thriving.

24 hour bakery! Do I need to say any more ? Large range of cakes, sandwiches, pastries and hot food available. I got two doughnuts, two cakes and a Mac and cheese pie for under £14. Very good value for money.

Asked for scrambled egg baguette got gave a mashed up fried egg baguette, totally different types of eggs and there’s no comparison between the two. Scrambled egg gets made in a microwave not on the hot plate

Food was great… However, red haired boy on till with piercings was super rude and uninterested. Forgot my food this evening plus have had multiple issues with him in previous. Always very arrogant and uncaring about customer service. Would not return to 24hr when he’s on shift.

Dinner kebab pies are the best I have tried by far, my friends from ayr work in Dundee and told me about them so as a truck driver passing Dundee a lot I stock up on these to take home and my friends from ayr love them too, also sneaked in a vanilla slice which was massive and delicious 😀 The staff were friendly and the place was really busy Well worth the visit

Have always been a fan of this bakery for many years but recently since it changed hands there's usually an issue. A month ago they were bamboozled by the logistics of stacking 16 donuts together to look like a cake and fussed about having to charge for a cake board. Then the Last x2 visits our food has been cold or excessively piping hot. Tonight, we asked for x2 pies and a portion of chips ... we were bo longer away from the hot food order til and the girl was handing us chips and said pur pies will be a few mins. .. the chips weren't hot so we asked for fresh ... the guy took then away shook the box and then returned the exact same chips 🙈 couldn't make it up 🤣

The staff in here are brain dead… they don’t know what they are handing you and don’t even know how to follow a written ticket Chips, cheese, coleslaw..: 3 ingredients and uou missed the cheese… just got home after wanting to treat myself. Honestly I give up with how many times staff get it wrong in here

Always great service and food quality is great. Although Wife has just eating her apple turnover and thinks they forgot the apples in only one small slice of apple.

Some girl staff are very NOT professional. A lady customer is in a rush but she should wait until the people in front of her finish the order. One guy before me is hesitated. The staff should serve the people behind him first, however, she jumped in and the waitress served her first. And the time to let us wait is so long. I don't know what the waitress and the lady customer were thinking. Is the rule to wait in queue and served one by one is just on the paper. Shame on them. They should be regarded as Dundee people. I don't like Clark's bakery any longer. Will never be there. If someone is not ready to be a server and doesn't know how to deal with service work. Please leave on your own. Don't let your restaurant's reputation collapse because of you.

Excellent food,service cancelled be a bit poor. Nothing to do with food or service, but...... On the wall the have a saying and a pictures....saying is..'be kind to the server or else, with a picture of a knife. Safe to say I won't be back in a shop that promotes knive violence.

Been going to Clarks for years, but the quality of the food and slow service now makes the visit horrible, cold soggy chips and undercooked mince yeuch!

Awful. Used to love coming here. Struggled to make a filled roll with salad (didn’t get what I asked for). Coffee like hot water. Hurried out the door had to ask multiple times for more items. 9 quid for a roll pastry and coffee! Won’t be coming back what happened

Price to quality ratio is very favourable selection is abundant and whether your looking for a quick bite on the go or a meal to take home and cook you can't go wrong, the customer area does feel a little cramped but not in any problematic sense

I have to use Clarks on a regular basis,on delivery with Easy Shopper.I have never had a bad experience and the staff, if you have to phone up to amend an order, nothing is too much bother for them and they are friendly and courteous. Their mince is brilliant , as are the ready meals and soup. They are all made fresh every day, and they are so popular they can sell out. The updating of their online site is immediate, and if you do order something that has subsequently run out, they always phone with a replacement suggestion.

I got the Helicopter burger (I’m not man enough to take on the Chinook) and loved every bit of it. I’ve been a few times before and tried various other bits and pieces, including the chicken and kebab pie which was magic. Would 100% recommend this place, can’t beat it if you’re in Dundee.

Been going here 23 years fantastic place for something to eat there's something for everyone. Puts perth to shame for food as there's no place like this in PERTH 🙄

Very convenient as they are open 24/7 and you can choose from a broad range of food. Sometimes the wait is a bit long and I dislike that they touch the food with the same gloves as they touch cash with or their face or everything else. Would be much better if they'd change the gloves and use tongs whenever possible.

food is amazing as usual from clarks but wouldnt bother going to this one! 3rd time going there and when i say they got EVERY single part of my order wrong while its being similar at same time so i got overcharged and got totally different stuff. all for equality in hiring but please hire staff that can actually take orders correctly!! unacceptable, its not even a one off which wouldnt be a big deal but its the 3rd time its happened

Went to collect a too good to go bag, when I got there they said it had been cancelled? No, it clearly wasn't as I wouldn't have bothered driving there. Poor and uncaring attitude from staff. Kids disappointed that they didn't get their surprise bag. Would have probably purchased something for lunch but seeing as the customer service was rubbish I decided not to. Won't be back either, plenty other places in Dundee that are good. If I could give no stars, I would.

Amazing choice , quality and price.

Staff friendly. Ordered chips and mince, macaroni and chips! Chips felt like double cooked/burnt! Poor tasting, this was approx 11pm. Would probably avoid during night in my opinion!

I used to be a regular at Clarks, up until I felt it started going downhill for a good 6 months or so. I haven't been in just over a year and sad to say I'll probably not be back after tonight. When you're paying £5 for a large chips and cheese and they give you a small, where the cheese hasn't even melted ten minutes later, and the chips are not only cold but overcooked you're only going to be disappointed. It's a shame as the wee woman who works there is an absolute gem. Gut buster was still good tbf

Food was delicious but they got half of our order wrong. We went in at 12 o'Clock on a Sunday and they didn't make pizzas. Will be back although big improvements need to be made about service.

Not expensive. Make birthday cakes, chips , macaroni, bacon, sausage rolls. Anniversary cakes. 🎁🎂 Friendly staff. Can order and pick up. Off Blackness Road, Peddie Street. Up from Hawkhill pub. Small industrial estate.

I’m not the type to regularly eat pies or macaroni but Clarkies has changed my mind about that! It’s worth a try!

Nice friendly staff would definitely recommend a visit

Ordered a birthday cake for a special birthday. When we went to collect it had not been made. When we asked why a staff member had put the wrong date on the order. They attempted to blame us despite it being a staff member who completed the order. No one had attempted to contact me with any queries. This is the second time we have had an issue. We ordered a cake a couple years ago with red Icing trim and when we went to collect it, it was done in pink. Lesson learned we will not be back. Two birthday surprises spoiled are more than enough.

My go-to is Scottish breakfast wrap. It's a filling wrap. I love it is 24x7.

IV always went to clarkys bakery as I used to love nearby but haven't been in years as I moved into town......was a bit shocked to be honest at the price of my order I guess since this cost of living thing I have noticed prices are mostly so high for ANYTHING that IV actually thought going thru checkout at other places I never had much items but Wen she told me the total coz I shop at this other shop for years I have a chat and a laugh with the lady in home bargains for years but I thought she was winding me up Wen she told me the total only Wen I looked on receipt I seen that bread is over 1 50 things that used to cost 70p like pot noodle is 1.70 and I noticed the same tonight with.clarkys....still a brilliant place to get real quality food that's always good but my order was only 2 cheeseburgers with onions and tomato sauce and 1 slush strawberry ice....back in the day u wud hv gotten change back from a tenner for that Wen she said 14.90 I was like ok then so u want to legally rob me and I did but as always it was delicious and hot but like everywhere it's like prices HV practically doubled everywhere......but if Ur like me and up all night and suddenly get an urge for burger or my sweet tooth bothers me clarkys is the place to go although I dread to think how much a Devon slice costs now......(mmm Devon slice is worth any price) lol...

Ordered online, staff brought out to car. Easier than trying to get into shop. Had chips with chicken and curry sauce and a Newyork steak with peppers and onion baguette. Along with iced donut and strawberry smoothie. All good, worth trying.

Clark's have a nice range of Pies, savouries & their Pizza's look really nice and reasonably priced, but not tried them yet. Their app works well and is advised to order through it before collection. I've not had a pie that is not nice.

When going to Dundee from fife this is always on our list to visit. I've always been met with smiley faces and fantastic helpful ppl.

Best pies iv ever had highly reccomend the babas sauce Donner pie

Ordered chips cheese and bolognaise. Was asked if I wanted small or large. I said small and it came Latge: there was no cheese and bolognaise lacked flavour.

I love Clark’s. But the last few times they have either forgotten to give me stuff 2x paninis … or give me the wrong item. And also the girl that served me was just plain rude. She did not want to be there. I get it can be stressful especially when busy but you still need to make the customer feel a little bit wanted. I will still return. Hopefully it will all go smoothly next time.

Despite being first in queue of two people, the person behind was served first. I ordered a Lorne and egg roll which was ready suspiciously quickly, no sounds of cooking or anything. I got home to find they hadn't put the egg on. Really don't understand how you can mess up something so basic. Also the Lorne is now round like a burger which is very weird.

Stovies or mac and cheese are the best midnight munch , cakes are amazing, always recommend, staff can be better , only once girl doing her job out of 3 that we're there

Whoever invented those doner pies with cheese and babus sauce needs a Michelin star. They are the best pies I've ever had in my life. Absolutely perfection. Thank you.
