Terrible service and even worst food. There was such a limited amount of options, food was tasteless and rice was undercooked. Got there and paid at 18:58 and waited in line for food for 25 minutes. When we did sit down to eat realised how bad the food was. We approached a member of staff who then took 10 mins to get a manager. The manager Dipesh, was politely dismissing us and our concerns and refused to refund us. They also saw how much we ate which was bites of what we got and everything else was trashed. He lied and said we’d been here for over an hour when we were only seated for 40 mins and refused to give us any refunds. We left literally after and paid £62.70 in vain. Money lost. No one bothered to give us a refund.

Disgusting food, disgusting restaurant! Paid £22.99 per person for half a plate! Avoid unless you want food poisoning and food that tastes like vomit!

Tommy is most definitely one of the best.

Tommy was lovely, very polite and attentive. The portions weren’t the best but the food quality and taste was 10/10. Decent time for food to come out. Not bad price considering how many people we had with us. But the portions could have been more generous… overall a good experience!

First time visit to Turtle Bay we loved the ambience.... And the food was yummy.... Echan served us and he attended us well.

Tommy was fantastic, absolutely lovely lad. He was very attentive to all our orders and just was a very fun and nice guy! Loved the cocktails hopefully less ice on the drinks though.

Nothing for vegans, hardly any vegetarian & birthday offer not accepted. Most sections were empty & never replaced. This meant a lack of choice . Ok if you just want chips or rice but all in all a very poor choice & quantity of food available. Only went because there was a free birthday meal offer available (I claimed when booking on website) only to be told when we got there that you needed a party of 4 (we had 3) to qualify. This was NOT clear on the website & accepted on booking for 3 people. Ended up spending well over my budget for food that was very poor. I think you’re much better off in a standard restaurant as this was an extremely disappointing experience.

I dined out for dinner with my sister on Saturday 17th Feb. I had already reviewed the menu and decided to order the Trini curry prawn. The photo on the website showed some big juicy tiger Prawns with rice and peas and a sauce. What I received was a spoonful of rice and peas, 5 tiny Prawns that were swimming in a sea of sauce because the dishes are quite deep. Needless to say I was not full after finishing the meal. My sister on the other hand ordered the mobay chicken from the jerk pit and was still eating her dinner whilst I looked on having finished mine. We both ordered the Pina Kolada cocktail and agreed that there wasn't enough fruit juice in it. More milk and ice than anything else. The atmosphere was good with nice music. Toilet facilities were clean. The staff were friendly. Overall I don't think that the portion sizes represented value for money and left feeling very disappointed after reading so many positive reviews on TripAdvisor. If I went back I would have to try something else on the menu and would probably order a side dish. But again the side orders are expensive. I'd have to think twice before going back. I couldn't see any fish dishes on the menu. For a carribean restaurant this seems like a large omission as fish is very popular in the carribean. Also if your dish doesn't come with vegetables there are no vegetable side dishes to choose from as an option. Big mistake. Calalloo as a side dish would have been good.

We were celebrating my father-in-law’s 91st birthday. We had fantastic service from everyone but our main server was Manovi. She gave exceptional service and was very attentive. It made the birthday boy’s day when she organised some of the staff to present him with cake with candles and sing happy birthday. He thoroughly enjoyed everything. Thank you .

A very welcome (and much needed) addition to Romford. Visited on a few occassions now and we've never been disappointed. The food is great, with good sized portions. But a huge shout out to the staff who all do a fantastic job, but especially Tommy. We've been lucky to have been served by him a couple of times and he's the lovliest, friendliest person and a huge asset to Turtle Bay! 10/10

Our friend had a severe accident during the meal and Manovi reacted quickly to make sure everything was okay. I highly recommend Turtle Bay to anyone thinking of going.

From the moment you walk in you knew that the service would be great and we were not disappointed. After the host showed us to our table which although early from time we booked was no problem at all. After a few minutes our table assistant ‘Manovi’ arrived. She was what everyone imagines customer service at its highest should be. Never rushing or over bearing her timing was to perfection from drinks to starter, main and dessert. An asset to Turtle Bay! The food was amazing and tasty as the photos show. We will be back for sure. Both my wife and myself we would like to thank Manovi for the great service and making our time at Turtle Bay that much more perfect.
