Corus Hyde Park in City of London, Westminster

Disappointed there was no Seabass but Ezio made up for that with his hospitality. He was very attentive from the moment he meet us right until we left.

We had a offer for the afternoon tea - very good value looked small at first but is very filling. A good mixture of sandwiches, deserts were tasty and the scones very morish. Unlimited choice of tea included, excellent service provided by Ezio thank you very much filled up our water glasses often during the heat, asked often if all was ok and highly recommend this afternoon tea. Thanks again 😊

Staff were lovely and polite and very helpful if needed. Great location very quiet and peaceful at night. Very clean rooms a bit small but has everything you need. Would stay again.

This is our second visit here and both times we were greeted by Ezio very friendly and made us feel welcome the food is really nice and the atmosphere is very relaxing We’ll definitely be back and it’s highly recommended

The afternoon tea was fabulous and value for money. Nigel was very attentive and attended to all our needs with grace and a smile on his face. Would definitely go here again.

Average afternoon tea set in brasserie overlooking Hyde park. Got a wowcher deal so under £100 for six of us including Prosecco which is pretty good. Service was excellent and attentive. Food was ok, sandwiches were nice, a section of white and brown bread and some mini wraps. Good assortment of teas plus they had plant milks available. Small selection of mini cakes. The scones which were freshly baked as still warm were incredibly small which were disappointing.

My sister booked afternoon tea as a treat for us, as we were visiting London. The Tea was lovely fruit and plain scones with clotted cream and jam, cheese and tomato/ham mini wraps. and sandwiches, and a selection of cakes and teas. The teapots were kept well topped up. Ezio was our waiter and he was very chatty and kept us well informed at all times.

We had been trying to arrange an Afternoon Tea booking at this hotel for a while, but every time we called the hotel they could never get us connected to the restaurant, so I couldn't ask questions about some of our specific requirements. I even left messages for the restaurant to call me back, but they never did. Anyway, we eventually made a booking and visited on a Sunday afternoon in February. It was disappointing in many ways. The setting is not luxurious at all. A basic hotel restaurant feel to it, with a bit of a shabby feel in the conservatory/orangerie part of the room. Service was quick and efficient, but the table setting was cheap with paper napkins and even a paper menu advising you that you will need to pay extra for coffee if you want this instead of tea (most afternoon places do not do this). When the food came, it was so disappointing. Basic sandwiches, basic scones, but the worst thing was the cakes. All they served were some soggy fruit tarts which looked like they had been bought from a shop, a few brownies and a few other things which looked a bit like a flapjack of broken up cereal bar. We were not checked upon throughout our visit and there was no offer to refill our drinks. We left as soon as finished eating and can safely say that we won't be back. For a central London hotel in a classy location, you would expect far more than this. Would not recommend.

Me and my partner stayed at this hotel for one night as we went out for dinner. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. Our room was very clean, the bed was abit too firm for myself but my partner liked it. We had what we needed and have no complaints.

We were greeted by the lovely Jackie who showed us to our table overlooking the park . We were then served by Fredrica whose service was excellent . The food was plentiful and delicious . Great value and a lovely experience .

Took my mum to afternoon tea and Nigel was really helpful and friendly providing us with a very good service and the food was amazing and very filling too. It was a lovely afternoon and the view of the park is great. Would go back there.

Nous avons séjourné en famille 5 jours au Corus Hôtel. Il est situé juste en face de Hyde park, idéal pour faire son footing, flâner dans le parc où aller à la rencontre des nombreux écureuils! et à quelques pas des arrêts de bus et station de métro. (Oxford street à 2 arrêts) L’hôtel de l’extérieur est très chic et le hall de réception très accueillant. Alors oui, on peut constater que les chambres n’ont pas été rénové depuis un petit bout de temps... mais elles sont de taille correcte, il y a de l’eau chaude en abondance (contrairement à ce que j’ai pu lire...) et la literie est très confortable. Je confirme qu’il y a du simple vitrage et il faut prévoir un bon pyjama chaud (surtout pour les enfants). Le petit déjeuner est varié et copieux, le personnel de salle est attentionné et très sympathique, et à la réception nous avons eu l’opportunité de tomber sur un réceptionniste qui parlait parfaitement le français, tous le monde est aimable et essaie de satisfaire le moindre besoin. Petit plus après une folle journée londonienne : l’hôtel propose une carte 24/24h pour le room service. Emplacement +++ Personnel +++ Chambre + Pdj ++ En conclusion je recommande poire une courte virée à Londres!

Good location opposite Hyde Park. Very small room, uncomfortable bed and shower didn't work properly. Room provided everything else we needed for a quick overnight stay but I wouldn't want to stay here longer and we are unlikely to return. Staff unaware of allergens at breakfast and food items not topped up, also no white bread.

How this gets a 4* rating I’ll never know. Stayed at the Strand Palace last week and the difference in service quality was stark. V rude unhelpful front desk. Couldn’t swing a cat in our ‘double’ room, thin walls, small bathroom - I could go on. Wouldn’t recommend at all apart from the location

Sorry but there is absolutely no way that this is a four star hotel. First room, neither myself or my husband could fit into the shower due to a low ceiling (see picture). Second room, a seemingly ‘upgrade’ to a Business Double was an even smaller room but with a wet room shower. The walls next to the small double bed (4ft 6) which were literally only a few inches away and were absolutely filthy (see picture) and were paper thin. We could literally hear everything going on next door. Didn’t sleep well. The room had a damp smell. Air con helped. Plugs on only one side of the bed, no complimentary water. Claustrophobic. Breakfast was poor with limited range. I would rather stay in the Premier Inn which is far better both in terms of the room and breakfast. Staff were nice though, particularly in the breakfast room. Won’t stay again. Tired and run down.

The breakfast was great, full English and continental ,fruits, fresh juice , tea and coffee. The dinner was good. I had steak and was cook perfect. For the staff nothing was too much if you need help. The price was ok because the meals was very good. I will come again to stay here.

Service at Corus Hyde Park was exceptional,Ioan served us amazingly well and everything was delicious.

Bought a wonderful festive afternoon tea via Groupon deal. Lovely staff who were all attentive & friendly. The restaurant windows look towards Kensington Gardens. The tea comprised of many tastie morsals including small savouries like mini sausage rolls, turkey wraps & a delicious smoked haddock scotch egg. Savoury & sweet scones plus numerous mini sweets desserts. Large choice of teas were available. For an additional cost our offer also included a Gin cocktail. Only criticisum would be I found the scones a bit heavy/sticky for my taste.Would not hesitate to return again. Left feeling very full & satisfied.

My wife and I spent two lovely days here on a bed and breakfast tariff. The staff at reception were welcoming and friendly.

Lovely hotel and great location close to Lancaster Gate tube station....the only criticism is that although there is shampoo in the room, there is no conditioner, and when asked if they had any, they just said no!! Weird to supply shampoo, but not conditioner??!

The hotel was really well located however we paid £167 for 1 night and received a very small room which had issues. We had no WiFi despite it being a business room, the shower was tricky to work out the controls and we had to run it for a long time to get hot water. The sliding door didn’t slide properly and at one point we couldn’t get to our clothes as it became stuck. The carpet did not look like it had been hoovered.

Booked a groupon deal prior to staying at the hotel for the night. Booking was easy. £29 for two. Was no issues when we arrived and taken straight to our table. Not overly busy but just nice. Waitress, Nayat, was absolutely fantastic, she was friendly attentive and very good at serving us. She explained what all the food was and I cannot enough that if service is good that it makes such a difference. Back to food, it was all tasty and even the scones were warmed up for us. We got a glass of Prosecco, water, jug of a tea of our choice each and the food to share. Really excellent.

A grand Victorian / Edwardian building very close to Marble Arch and Hyde park

Chicken Avocado Salad followed by a wonderful Breast of chicken with fricassee sauce Creamed potatoes and broccoli.(see pictures) Also enjoyed the excellent Jacques Veritier Rouge (France wine),which was not over price. I love chicken hence had both below Excellent service and very friendly knowledgeable staff.

My friend and I had a lovely afternoon tea here. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The sandwiches were nice, two scones each and a lovely selection of goodies to finish. Very good selection of tea to try. We were there for about 3 hours having a good chat and didn’t feel at all pressured to leave. Overall we had a nice experience.

Had stayed at this hotel a few years back and although rooms were small the quality was very good, ie, shower, toilet facilities very clean and food was very good,

Hotel de bon standing avec du personnel très accueillant et parlant français (demander Thomas ;) ) Les bar et restaurant sont bons, les chambres propres et calmes. Rien à redire. Je recommande surtout pour son emplacement parfait juste en face du merveilleux Hyde park et à 2 min du métro.

The hotel is clean and nice. The restaurant is terrible! Too tired to go out to eat (from a day of pounding around London), we returned to our room and ordered room service, nachos and onion rings. Food arrived cold (not covered!!) and pitiful.

We booked this hotel because of its rating and its being close to Hyde Park and central London. Room was clean and well equiped. Staff were friendly and helpfull. Morning breakfast was also very good. Why am I answering the restaurant questions? ...it's a hotel!

Hall bellissima e personale professionale. Camere microscopiche, scadenti, bagno vecchio, armadio inesistente, letti NON MATRIMONIALI quindi molto stretti. Un comodino per due persone e una vasca senza tappeto anti scivolo per un prezzo di Ben 1000€ una settimana. Scherziamo?

Hemos disfrutado de nuestra estancia en el Corus Hyde Park Hotel durante muchos años, en gran parte debido al personal amable del cliente.

Quando chegàmos tinhamos ficado com um quarto que nao correspondia à foto mas logo nos encaminharam para outro bem melhor. Todas as noites hotel com pianista a fazer um ambiente bastante acolhedor. Fantástica localização, bem perto de transportes e alguns dos parques mais bonitos de Londres.

Ideally located for a function I was attending. Great location next to Hyde Park. Hotel was a little tired from the outside but entering the reception give a good impression of quality. There was plenty of space in the reception and it was very clean. The bar area was very small however for the size of hotel. Something that was obvious as a good percentage of people were attending (possibly) the same function and when wanting a drink before leaving for the ruction we found it difficult to get to the bar as it was so cramped.....

Breakfast was ok not great and many items were cold. Service staff were great always willing to help.

We had a lovely time having afternoon tea at the Corus, found a good deal on Groupon. All the staff were so lovely. Najat in particular gave my Muslim friend a space to pray. Very accommodating. It was beautiful.

The tea, sandwiches, and treats were all absolutely amazing! Najat took care of us and she did a terrific job and was so incredibly sweet. 10/10 recommend!

The afternoon tea service was amazing. Malkit was very attentive and took our dietary requirements and checked up on us every now and then to see if we required top up on anything. He was very helpful and the sandwiches and scones were very nice and filling. We are definitely coming back thanks to the friendly service of the staff, especially Malkit.

Bar restaurant with light food made it very convenient while staying at the hotel. Great service staff.

Ho soggiornato con mio marito dal 1 al 4 giugno 2019 presso questa struttura. In primis le camere sono più degli sgabuzzini che delle stanze. Ma tra il phono che nn funzionava e le asciugamani con un cattivo odore, la cosa peggiore è stata senza dubbio la pulizia. Un capello ( non nostro) per tre gg è rimasto nella doccia, nonostante abbia fatto notare la cosa.

Infelizmente só fiquei por uma noite nesse hotel, que é muito bem localizado, muito confortável e com ótimo atendimento. Retornarei com certeza.

Nos alojamos aquí por 7 noches, cuesta alrededor de 12 libras de King Cross Station a través de uber. Estaba bastante cerca de la estación de paseo de Lancaster y Hyde Park. È la prima volta che scrivo una recensione di un hotel durante il soggiorno perché penso sempre che qualcosa può cambiare (in meglio o in peggio) e aspetto a trarre le conclusioni, ma stavolta sono davvero convinta e contenta! Dopo aver studiato tutti gli hotel di Londra, prezzi posizioni offerte ecc ho deciso per il Corus e meno male! 10 piani di hotel ma pulito e silenzioso come se ci fossimo solo noi; insonorizzato ma attaccato a una fermata metro e sulla strada principale; stanza dotata di ogni confort, dal ferro da stiro al set per la colazione. L’offerta da me scelta comprendeva colazione e cena, deliziosi e abbondanti, adesso mi sento veramente in vacanza, grazie Corus hotel!

朝食がとても美味しかったので、アフタヌーンティーを利用しました。紅茶も味わい深く、スコーンもフォートナム＆メイソンのような高級店と同じがそれ以上の味。手作りだそうです。

Rooms are variable (stayed a few times) but generally hotel is fine. I think they must be going through an upgrade. Some showers are very small, some much better. Quiet and reasonably comfy though so can’t grumble. Very close to Hyde Park which is a massive plus and short walk to tube (2 mins). Walking distance to Oxford Street. Breakfast is nice. Will stay again in future.

We visited the Corus yesterday for afternoon tea . We had a very warm welcome by staff especially Najat. We were asked about any allergies we may have which was very good . We were seated where the view was excellent ( Hyde park ) and with the sunshine it was very nice . All staff were very attentive and served us with a smile . At the time of the booking I had mentioned it was a birthday celebration and to my surprise the staff came out with a small cake with ice cream and a candle as complimentary . We had the chai which was delicious and there was a good variety of cakes and scones . Sandwiches were fresh and tasty . Najat came and asked us a few times if everything was in order and if we wanted more tea . I would definitely recommend this place as staff appeared to be genuinely enjoying their jobs !!!

45 minutes for a burger...that’s it. Nothing else. Literally nothing else to say in this day. Thanks a lot to the first experienced chef

L'accoglienza è stata sublime. Il te è stato molto buono ed i dolci molto buoni e freschi. Il personale molto gentile ed accogliente. La location molto bella ed elegante. Lo suggerisco a tutti i golosoni che in una visita a Londra vogliono gustare un tradizionale cream tea decisamente regale.

I have purchased an afternoon tea for my mother and I through Groupon. Cannot fault anything. Staff were polite and attentive, the assistant manager kindly asked us for any special dietary requirement which was rather nice. Happy overall and would recommend 110%.

The hotel is nice and attractive. Its location in London is fantastic. You’re a quick taxi or uber away from most London attractions. There is a restaurant and bar inside which makes your visit convenient as well. My room was comfortable but I’ve heard that they tend to run a bit small. Upgrade your room if you can. Most everything is average and ok...the shower/tub is very small. If you’re a larger person, this will be a bit irritating. Overall, its shortfalls are outweighed by its conveniences.

Things have changed at the Corus from when I had stayed a little over a year ago during Christmas and New Year's and it was fabulous then. At that time I booked a room with a large single bed. On this trip with some old college friends we booked a room with twin beds and it was extremely lacking. I found out that such twin rooms are considered their budget rooms but such information and pictures do not indicate such when booking so beware of the lower quality if booking twin. Beds were not comfortable, bathroom was incredibly small even for European standards. The staff appeared to have completely changed since last year and though friendly and fairly thorough, I did have difficulty securing an additional pillow...it took 2 days before it was delivered to my room. The location is still good and the food has continued to be excellent. If you book an upper level room be prepared to wait some time for the elevators and one was out of service the entire time we were there. While one could do worse in a hotel, I do not think I will return to the Corus. For just a little more you can secure the Double Tree by Victoria Station and it is excellent! Wish I had done that this trip.

I could compliment them on an improved bathroom yet the wet room flooded leaving me with no towels to save disaster. Poorly designed ruining the experience.

Had a lovely high tea in this hotel staff so friendly and helpful, Nigel was the manager and brilliant very helpful with a food intolerance, and I'd previously mentioned it was my daughter's 18th and they brought out a little cake and candle which was a nice touch ...I was very impressed the food was delicious too.

Excellent hotel, conveniently located at Lancaster gate. Chilled water on arrival in reception area. Really friendly staff, helpful and professional.

Our waiter Ioan was amazing he did a very well job recommending us things and explaining us everything. Thank You Ioan. The food and tea was very nice! We also expend a very beautiful moment.

We stayed in about four rooms at Corus. Their lower end rooms are really small and inconvenient but the higher end rooms are actually decently designed. The service we received really fluctuated. The Night Manager, The Concierge and most of the Desk Staff were excellent. We did however have some incidences of sub standard service from the counter staff which eventually influenced our decision to change accommodation.

We stayed at the Corus hotel this weekend and it was my daughters birthday, they upgraded us and gave us a birthday card with complimentary chocolate‘s and proscecco the service was fantastic the chef Bernice was great she looked after us so well. Thank you Corus for making our visit so special x

Breakfast is very good and food is enjoyable, fish and chips is delicious of dinner; location is quite good, 2 minutes to get underground station, nearby Hyde park; housekeeping is not so good, always forgetting to update some tissue or shower things.早餐很好，地理位置优越，离海德公园很近，每天打扫房间很马虎，纸巾，卫生纸洗澡用品总忘了更新。

Stayed for 4 nights great location very clean and safe. Only down side very small rooms. Bernice in the kitchen cooks the best poached eggs!

Nuestro grupo de amigos disfrutó de una cena muy agradable en el restaurante bistró Corus. Además de los viejos favoritos, como el pescado y las papas fritas bien cocidos, el menú ofrecía mayormente cocina asiática, con salmón, carne e ideas vegetarianas con buenos sabores, texturas y colores. Raciones de buen tamaño también, bien presentadas y servidas rápidamente por un personal amable. . También había una buena selección de vinos a buen precio.

Absolutely amazing experience! The food was lovely and the service outstanding! The gentleman looking after us, Ioan, was so welcoming, professional and making sure everything is fine! I truly recommend this place for afternoon tea! Very high standards!

Pasamos un descanso familiar de 4 días (2 adultos) en el Corus de Hyde Park. Conseguí una habitación en el 5 ° piso (escaleras arriba) - bastante pequeña pero acogedora, ventana a la calle. Las camas estaban bien, suficiente espacio para dos. TV, escritorio / silla. No hay nevera ni minibar. La ducha un poco demasiado baja, baño bastante agradable. Muy buena ubicación, a pocos minutos de la línea central. ¡Volveremos allí!

Two visits two disappointments. Wouldn't request or pay for executive room as all you get is a robe an coffee machine. Not worth the extra money. Better off spending in Oxford street which is a short walk away.

Stayed in an executive suite. Was in need of a lik of paint and bathroom had grout missing and mould.

Stayed for one night in an Executive Double room. The room was a good size and clean, if a little tired and worn in places. Well equipped with everything you would need. The room had a coffee machine as well as a kettle and there was a mini fridge with bottles of water in. Air con was switched on and working when I arrived. Staff are friendly. The hotel was very busy but we were seated quickly at breakfast and there was plenty on offer. We didn’t have dinner. I would stay there again as it is very conveniently located for a night out in London and the night tube makes it easy to get to even in the small hours.

My third stay in this hotel.small room was expected,but rude behavior on breakfast by staff not acceptable. Chef on breakfast not at all interested to listen to you and very arrogant.

Trevlig restaurang, mysigt att sitta ute i den inglasade delen. Den malaysiska maten var väldigt god, dock liten portion. Resesällskapet tog en hamburgare, han hade önskat någon annan sås till pommes än bara majonnäs, men det är väl lite så i England :)

Everyone seems to moan in their reviews about the size of the rooms, and yes they are small but are perfectly adequate - far better in fact than I expected. The hotel was in my view great. A great spot, nice reception and bar, friendly staff - just what you want from a hotel. And it is a proper hotel, and not just a couple of houses knocked together like most of the hotels in the area. Obviously not the best hotel on Hyde Park (as it is in a great/prime location for London), but at approximately a third of the price of most of the others I think it stood up exceedingly well. I will be staying there again (unless I win the Lottery in which case I will be staying at the Mandarin Oriental instead!).

Viceroy Room - clean and comfy - all items needed from safe, iron, posh coffee maker etc. Air conditioning and shower ropey - no real water pressure so had a bath instead. Bar staff are nice but very poor service and need training - didn't know how to pour a pint. The breakfast was adequate - run out of most items - plates were cold - requiring communication and more organisational skills between waiters and kitchen - yes it was busy but that is no excuse. Could be a great hotel if they became more efficient and maybe a lick of paint in the dining and bar area. Would visit again due to the excellent location to park for concerts.

Really excited to arrive at the Corus Hotel for Hyde Park BST concert. All good in reception, bar, restaurant etc looked lovely, but I have never stayed in such a hideous room! So small the double bed was pushed against the wall, tv mounted high on the wall so small you couldn’t see it, horrible metal blind and no lamps, curtains, dreadful carpet, I could go on and on!!Seriously awful! Breakfast was lovely. Could have been great .... what a shame!

We bought a Groupon for the Afternoon Tea and booked for the same afternoon at Corus. We requested for Halal options and we were happy to find them acknowledging the request.

Visited the Corus Hotel for an Afternoon Tea on sat 28/7. Staff were very welcoming and had a lovely table in front conservatory. Afternoon tea was really nice with selection of sandwiches cakes and scones. Niegel, Adi and Dana were very attentive repeatedly asking if we wanted more tea and offering different flavoured teas.

Really enjoyed the experience the staff were lovely particularly the Albanian male staff. The food was good and the view of Hyde park was a lovely bonus.

First time to London and booked wanting a central location at a reasonable price. Although the rooms are small is a good and well located place to stay opposite Hyde Park. Young man on concierge was fantastic and helped me with a SIM card and pointed me to where a phone expert could help me.

Llegamos, y sucio y agotado grumbly después de un vuelo nocturno, preocupaba no poder registrarnos porque era bastante temprano en la tarde. En su lugar, el personal de recepción nos dio la bienvenida alegremente y nos dio las llaves de nuestra habitación cómoda. Nos habíamos reservado un té de la tarde, nuestro propio introducción a estar en Londres, y fue suntuoso. Deliciosos pasteles poco, sabrosos sandwiches, amplio de té. Se tardaron un poco en llegar porque estaban ocupados, pero nos entretuvimos nosotros viendo la gente que va por fuera de las ventanas brasserie.

Me and my family have been staying here at least once a year for the past two decades (often more). It really is a wonderful hotel and great value. Not too much noise, 2 minutes from the station and across the street from the park. Great for a family and people on business.

A perfectly acceptable afternoon tea at a very reasonable price for London. Everything was very fresh and tasty. Reasonably priced prosecco too and very drinkable. Lovely room/setting. Would have preferred a window seat but you can't have it all. Nice polite service too. Look past the rather tired dated reception area. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

Dit hotel ligt op een mooie plek tegenover park en dichtbij metro station. Vriendelijke receptie snelle incheck. Nette en schone kamers, uitgebreid ontbijt. Zeer goede service van personeel. Super verblijf voor n weekend London

Este hotel fue recomendado y es registrada como de 4 estrellas. Ciertamente elementos (servicio y ambiente y ubicación) que este lugar como un probable 4 estrellas pero. . . .

Muy agradable zona de comedor con vistas a Hyde Park. Los bocadillos eran muy sabroso y los bollos de queso, aunque el queso, luz estaban deliciosos. Las tartas de queso eran como temática de queso. Había una buena variedad de tés o café y el Prosecco era muy buena. El personal era amable y servicial. La única cosa que desprestigia fueron los servicios, que eran bastante "municipal". El resto fue totalmente repetible.

Excelente ubicación, cerca de metro de Lancaster Gate, un paseo de Marble Arch. Fuimos para el té de la tarde en el asador. Personal no se ponen. Las cosas se hicieron cuando quisieron, un poco "no podía ser molestado actitud". No es una habitación muy agradable. Algunas mesas estaban en o cerca de las ventanas que daba a Bayswater Road. Nos sentamos en la zona del bar en una mesa redonda en una columna. No muy cómodo. Vajilla blancas gruesas. Mi taza no habían sido lavados correctamente. El té en sí no era horrible, pero estábamos en y fuera en menos de una hora porque no nos sentíamos cómodos. Se necesitaba un poco más de esfuerzo para que sea agradable.

Otel çok iyi bir lokasyonda. The lancaster gate istasyonuna 3 dak yürüme mesafesinde. Odam tek kişilik odaydı. Sevmedim. Personel harika çok yardımcı oldular. Rahat ve iti bir otel ancak tek kişilik odam iyi değildi.pencerekerdrn soğuk geliyor izolasyon iyi değil. Otelin restorantı harika. Piyano akşamları var. Hemen de sevdim.
