Absolutely terrible experience. Cafe was filthy and we were shoved in a corner beside a high chair. Should have left before ordering food. Sausages were revolting, too salty and indeterminable ‘meat,’ probably cheap connective tissue. Toilet was disgusting, even the tap incrusted with dirt. Never again.

Beautiful fish supper and lovely staff. Really enjoyed food, clean well kept cafe. Will definitely visit again, next time saving space for a double nugget icecream.

Best battered haggis and chips I think I’ve ever eaten. Freshly cooked and hot. The batter was light and crispy and delicious. Decent portion size and good price. A slight wait while it was cooked but well worth it.

Three fish teas, one with bread crumb batter. All top notch. Portion of my large fish tea was massive, couldn't finish all the chips. Staff were attentive and polite. Great place, will deffo be a returning customer.

This place is a big improvement on the chippie that used to be on this site. They do an excellent gluten free fish in batter. There’s a bit of a wait for it as it’s cooked in a separate fryer but that’s perfectly fine when it prevents cross contamination. Will definitely be back

As a coeliac it is a real treat to get chip shop gluten free fish in batter. To avoid cross contamination they cook the fish in a separate fryer which takes a little longer but is well worth the wait. The batter was brown and crisp and the fish very fresh. Happy days!

We took our Australian relatives who wanted the authentic Scottish-Italian chippie experience and they were not disappointed. The fish was fresh, the batter crispy and chips chunky. My daughter was also singing the praises of their curry sauce. My wife and I had the gluten-free fish supper option which is what we go for regularly now.

Nipped into the North Berwick Diner and fry for a family lunch after walking on the beach. They were happy to accommodate our well behaved dog at the front of the restaurant, and the hot chocolates were just the ticket after a cold morning. We ordered a pizza, chips, and a sausage supper and the food was timely and great quality. Great attentive service too. Thank you - we’ll be back!

The food was honestly really nice, and was prepared quickly. I liked the crispness of the lettuce and bacon.

After having used this Fish shop for the last 5 years, at least 5 times a year when we come to Scotland in our Camper, we have always looked upon the experience a one of the treats of our trip...that was until after Christmas. The batter on the fish was thicker than the actual fish and the portion of chips seemed to have shrunk by about 30%, a real disappointment to the outing end. We will try again in the Springtime, I only hope there'll be a marked improvement.

Absolutely amazing 👌 good food with great staff. Well done troops! Had a burger tonight rather than my chicken kebab and never fails to be amazing

I was greeted and sat at a table fast enough but then, crickets…staff walking past me on a very quiet Monday just after 3pm not offering a drink. After 10 minutes I look up and the guy who sat me is chatting to the chefs over the pass. I got up and left too hungry to confront the matter. Very disappointing.
