Cornish's Cookhouse in Dumfries & Galloway

I feel incredibly lucky that we have a bonified steetfood business on Hayling, instead of the usual rubbish with "funky names" to make them more appealing - Cornish cook house offer quality, innovative and imaginative dishes that are definitely a cut above the rest. Their food is obviously handmade and as a former chef I can appreciate the thought and effort that has gone into their menu / specials and not just cheap crap from Bookers that every other catering business seems to churn out.

Sunday morning used to mean the occasional visit to McDs for their version of a breakfast, imagine how happy I was when the wife told me that Cornish's Cookhouse were now doing a Sunday morning slot parked outside Broadway Coffee Roasters in Highland Road Southsea. Limited breakfast menu, but it covers all bases. Home made sausage patties, bacon, eggs, buns and then a sit down inside with coffee from the shop. As I do not do eggs, I get bacon, sausage and cheese, and I have been back for more. This is what Sunday mornings are made for. Good food, good coffee a laid back, chilled vibe in peaceful surroundings. Seriously, can you think of a better way to start a Sunday.

Visited for in the evening at Emsworth venue. Really quick service and lovely delicious food. Has vegan bored wgicy was crispy and highly recommended. Fries lovely. Well worth tracking them down

Great produce, not messed with, well cooked, well presented, happy, cheerful, friendly staff. This is fast becoming my go to snack spot on a Saturday or Sunday lunchtime. Check out Facebook, as they sometimes have specials, but they do sell out quickly. I have tried a few different items from the menu, and all have been a joy. Burgers are juicy, fries are fresh cooked. What more could you possibly want.
