Amazing staff, vegan menu is good, pudding too. Recommend coming down!

I have visited this restaurant a few times and each time has gotten worse. The staff, apart from one or two, they are rude and have no customer service skills. The toilets are filthy. The food was under-cooked, whoever the ‘chef’ is ought to feel ashamed of serving up slop. The location is great and from the outside but that’s as far as it goes. I will never ever book a table and eat here again. Environmental health needs to look into the hygiene.

Really lovely pub, nice selection of drinks, good variety on the lunch menu.

Overall food was very underwhelming. Ordered 3 curry’s and a roast which everyones looked and tasted as if it had been in the back for days. Korma & madras tasted as good as a £2 microwave meal from the local corner shop. Tasted straight out the microwave and had no real flavour. Rice was also rock hard and had no flavour to it either. The roast dinner was also lacking, The meat itself was straight out of a packet and not great for a classic pub roast. Overall disappointing. Desert was sticky toffee pudding which was average at best, the pudding itself was rock solid. Staff were friendly but other than that the overall experience was disappointing, Especially considering how good the corner house used to be. Total per head was roughly £30 including a soft drink which considering the standard of other venues close by, Pay the extra or roughly the same and have a better meal there. What a shame.

Not the best. Very disappointing. Menu said with half a grilled tomato only had less than a quarter. Lettuce looked and tasted as if it had been in the kitchen for days. Dark round the edges. Very disappointing.

The food overall was pretty good, although some of the steaks on the Mixed Grills were more on the well done side of medium. The drinks prices were awful, £5.85 for a pint of cider. This probably explains the severe lack of people in the pub and absolutely no atmosphere. Whilst we were in the pub there was never more than 10 people in, and when we left at just after 8.00pm we were the last people in the pub. I know it was a Tuesday night at the start of the month but I would expect there to have been more people around. Probably the high drinks prices are putting people off.

Large pub with ample seating but a handful of tables filled at most. The staff constantly busy doing the best on a few staff. Food was good pub grub and reasonably priced but was really surprised to see the change in atmosphere. This place used to be busy with families and couples every day for the week but now there was a handful of tables at most

Served by Lottie who was friendly and attentive, had lovely hot breakfast batch and coffee, my mate had full breakfast which also went down well. Piping hot coffee too. No one else in when we went in but I’ll be going again with the dog (they’re dog friendly!)

Been for dinner with the family this evening and the food was brilliant, well priced and tasted lovely, the staff were great, they were friendly and attentive, we will definitely be visiting again.

Very disappointed. Booked for 6 people, but tables only for 4, so joined 2 round tables together. Not really satisfactory. Expected Sunday Roast as it was 1pm and the posters advertised it, but not available. Thankfully the member of staff (Lottie) was very pleasant. Will not return.

First time visiting after moving to the area only popped in for a drink to get the feel, warm and friendly there was a lot of people in eating prices look reasonable so will be returning to try out the menu

Breakfast on Christmas eve with family. Very well organised. Staff were excellent. Santa and grotto was fantastic 👌

Have just had a terrible experience here. Booked in to have breakfast and meet Santa. Issues straight away, short staffed and little help on intolerances with certain food for our group. Food was tepid and had obviously been left under a heat lamp for sometime. Many other customers asking to see the manager who turned out to also be the chef. The manager would not come out and left 2 poor staff to deal with all the issues and complaints. The 2 staff were brilliant trying to deal with things but unfortunately a POOR manager who obviously can't deal with conflict left them to it. The Santa and Mrs Claus were great though and the kids loved them. I've only rated service as a 3 because the 2 staff were doing their best despite a poor manager.

Came around Christmas for our grans birthday meal and it was lovely. Great service and very friendly staff.

We were looking forward to our visit, ordered 2 pints, coke, and 1/2 pint. Pints were warm and coke drinkable, told that the cooler was not working We then went to order food no fish and lasagna plus were told that we would have to wait 45 minutes, we waited 1 hour 15 minutes. Very short staffed not many tables to be served. Meal was enjoyable and that I am afraid was the only good thing. Would not recommend.

Had such a wonderful time, the meal was excellent, service was prompt and the food was perfectly cooked, Katherine was excellent she was really kind, helpful and accommodating. Would definitely recommend.

From the friendly greeting we received on arrival to the food, drinks and service from the staff, everything was excellent, such a lovely cozy atmosphere, food was served in good time and tasted great, the sherry trifle cheesecake was outstanding, it was our first visit but definitely won't be our last

The staff were all very friendly and welcoming to us and our dog. The pub looks amazingly festive with decorations everywhere. We had freshly made pizzas which were delicious and a good size with plenty of toppings. My husband had a treacle sponge pudding too. All the food was lovely and we will definitely be back soon!

went for dinner on Saturday. Food as always good standard pub grub. Very cosy atmosphere, very christmassy. we sat by the TV, slightly disappointed the fireplace didn't work. Last time we came the service was great but this time it was lacking. Young kids behind the bar seemed more interested in standing around chatting and eating chocolate than doing any work. No one checked back to see how our meals were and no one cleared our plates and asked if we wanted dessert or coffee like previous visits. We felt forgotten so we didn't stay for either. Disappointing this time, but usually a good place to go.

Exceptional service bar person was on their own, serving drinks taking food orders and table service. Very polite and helpful. Good value tasty food. Not visited in a long time and will definitely be back 😄

2 boys on the bar, one seemed new the other, taller boy called Jake, was very helpful and sorted our order when the first boy wasn't sure what to do, we'll done Jake for being polite, professional and being a team player helping your colleague

I was served by the amazing Taylor and she is such a good part of this place!! She is always smiling and hardworking and gets her job done. Never see her doing nothing she’s always making sure customers have what they need and always makes sure I have a drink next to me. AMAZING!!!!

Could do with more sauces for steak as they only do peppercorn. Medium to well done steak was barely medium, last time it was very well done so just need a bit of predictability/consistency to raise the rating. Otherwise nicely done food and couldn’t fault the service and friendliness (Lottie).

Lovely atmosphere when Blake who served us saw my son had special needs he seated us in a quiet area by the pool table absolutely brilliant. Food was delicious Thanks Blake for a lovely evening. The girl behind the bar was excellent too and reminded me to use my blue light card!

Came back to the corner house for another try after seeing some good reviews lately and recommendations from family and friends and my word how it’s changed! It was very busy for a Friday night all tables full, as soon as somebody leave you would see a member of staff cleaning the tables for room to get more people in, Was a long wait for food but we were told in advance before even ordering our drinks which we as a family though was very good service. Taylor brought our food out and was very helpful with everything we needed, lovely girl, had a smile on her face from when we arrived to when we left. Thank you for a great evening we will be back very soon. The Christmas decorations were amazing! Went above and beyond. Well done corner house team

i visited with my mum for some food not expecting much because of it just being your average pub, anyway the food was delicious and service was even better, sienna went above and beyond with her politeness and her friendly gestures she was so welcoming with a lovely smile and positive attitude towards her workplace, what an attribute to that place she is, i’d go as far as to say her service was even better then the food, we will now be regulars because of how kind she was when i came in very upset xx

Great food, attentive staff, lots of offers on and options to suit all needs. Recently decked out with Christmas decorations which look fab. On our doorstep too and always welcoming for us and our boys.

Very friendly and accommodating staff, my daughter is epileptic and Katherine was very kind in turning off the flashing lights so we could sit by one of the Christmas trees. Enjoyed chatting with her and Blake at the bar, very welcoming. Food was Ok, nothing special but enjoyable standard pub food. Gorgeous Christmas decorations. Only downside was the price of the beer!

Have visited the Corner house many times. Usually served by Blake, always a warm welcome, probably why we are regular visitors. Have sampled serveral meals from the menu, all good.

Went for my wife’s birthday. For a wet Monday night, the pub was quite busy and the atmosphere was fine. The food was very good and the service fine. Would recommend if you don’t expect The Savoy and will definitely come back.

Real shame I write this , took a long time to get served to order food ( only1 other person in front of me ) then another 10 minutes to get a drink for one of our group , no cutlery brought over after ordering, then when the food came out 3 of the 4 meals were over cooked and cheesy garlic bread was like rock , and there was a smell in the place that reminded me of sweaty socks , such a shame as it's always been a great place to eat

Absolutely disgraceful service. My Son took us to The Corner House to celebrate his house purchase. Booked for 7pm but were there for 6.50pm were told there was a 15 to 20 minutes delay. At 7.30 we went to order were told very rudely by I think the Manager that we couldn't order and that there was at least another 15 minutes to wait until we could order. At no time were we told of the problem. At which point we finished our drinks and went to a Harvester instead and had a very nice meal and pleasant staff! Neither of us four will ever use the Corner House again!

We booked in for a meal for our daughters birthday, and we’re very pleased with The Cornerhouse, greeted with a smile, staff were cheerful and helpful, the food was lovely, fresh and came out in a timely manner, we all thoroughly enjoyed each of our meals and I would definitely visit again, for a Tuesday evening the atmosphere was expectedly quiet, but again it felt like a nice place to be, thank you.

Lots of items off the menu were not available. No chicken or beef for a roast dinner. No roast potatoes. No fish and chips. No beef burgers. Limited menu on the puddings too! Waste of time going

We’ve been coming here for years. But last night we left before even ordering food. There was one staff member on at the bar, and clearly very little staff anywhere else. Food being sent back to the kitchen continuously, one party had pre ordered food and were waiting 2 hours! Such a shame as it used to be great.

We went for Sunday lunch today, very poor! The mash was cold, the roast potato was made of mash not proper roasties, was soggy in the middle. Peas were hard, Yorkshire was so hard I couldn’t get my knife through it even with gravy on! Won’t be going again!

Had a Sunday roast today at Corner House Nuneaton. Worst meal I have ever had. Mash potato was cold roast potato not proper roasties, they were mash potato just shaped & roasted but soggy in the middle. Peas were hard. Yorkshire was so hard I couldn’t cut it with a knife, even with gravy on! We won’t be going there again!

Where can I start. A pub that doesn't keep a standard white rum of any kind? I have a bar in my garden better stocked that also has a wider variety of spirits. The meal, having waited over an hour for it to get to the table, was quite frankly inedible. Steak that had been destroyed by the 'chef'. Perhaps he should stick to making pizza. Charging £1.50 for 3 of the smallest onion rings I have ever seen in my life is daylight robbery. The only saving grace is that we were refunded for the meals but it really shouldn't have reached that stage. Unfortunately it does mean we would never re-visit. The potential was missed in every way shape and form.

Shocking . We’ve waited 1hr 20mins for our food . People who ordered before us didn’t even have their food before us, a couple walked out . The young lad who was waiting was brilliant couldn’t fault him , he couldn’t apologise enough . Also a 15 year old was served alcohol. Table next to us has been dirty since we have been here , over two hours . I would not recommend this place . A lot of the food unavailable. I don’t even know why you opened . Shocking .

Been living near this place for over 57 years, never been in. Wife was in once. We decided to give it a try. Nice and quiet on the day, although it can get busy. We had lunchtime special, lovely hot crispy mushrooms, followed by a small piece of fish, ample chips, yet mushy peas were like a one spoonful. All in all it was a pleasant experience. Would go again.
