Great food and service. Staff was friendly and helpful. Special mention to Adrian, who made sure we had a wonderful evening.

The food there was excellent. I marked down one star because the dessert looked nicer than it tasted. Vegetarian starter was tomatoes and looked very pretty. The scallop ceviche was very good, it's the second time I tried and it's still very good. I had the duck for main which was tasty and good size. The dessert was looked beautiful but the cream inside was too sweet and I couldn't finish it. Service was excellent and atmosphere was great. Would go again for business but won't recommend for vegetarian. Lol

Booked a table for my friends and the staff here were brilliant from start to finish. My friends had some of "the best food they've ever had in their lives" and enjoyed every dish on the Plant Bases Tasting menu. The service and restaurant were amazing. Thank you so much ❤️🌱

I attended for the OLIVE OIL GUY tasting menu which was delicious. Both the Olive Oil Guy and your lovely wine sommelier Jiachen excelled with their pairings. They were both so friendly, enthusiastic and informative. I learnt a lot about olive oil! Mazen was very sweet and answered the multitude questions which were asked of him with superior knowledge and a genuine joy to educate and share his information. The wines were so well selected and each complimented the courses wonderfully. The food was delicious. The setting and friendly wait staff enhanced the whole experience.

We spent 3 weeks in the UK and this was the best meal of our trip.

Brilliant place! Flo in particular was just fantastic! What an amazing character. I have never before seen someone with such a true passion to deliver exceptional customer service in my life. A true joy to be served by him. The food was immaculate and wonderfully presented. Top marks all round.

We had dinner here as a party of five. We reserved online and were met with a very nice host who stored our coats and walked us to our table. Very spacious round table, it was elegantly prepared, as the whole restaurant was: tastefully furnished, it provided and elegant, but not pompous athmosphere to dinner, which was helped by the dim lighting. The kitchen is open view, but its position to the side of the dining room doesn't make it the centerpoint and a source of distraction. We had the 9 course dinner menu, which is supplemented by regular bread and butter refills. The dishes were all seasonal and elegantly presented, and provided for both classic and experimental combination of flavours, which were all well executed. We also ordered wine: a couple of bottles of white and a lebanese red cuvee. The service personnel were all amazing at their job and very cordial. Despite our rather extensive wine knowledge, the sommelier could still provide valuable details that helped in our wine choices. We all work in high-end gastronomy so we can recognize great service and great food, which was the case here. At the end of the dinner we were offered apricot-infused cognac, made in house, which was a nice touch. Price is fair considering the food quality, service quality and the attention to detail of this restaurant. Would definetely reccomend for a tasting menu dinner.

Just had the most amazing dinner experience at Cord restaurant. Thoroughly enjoyed the tasting menu which was paired with wine. The black truffle course was to die for and the greek wine was an absolute winner. Our sommelier was attentive and knowledgeable about each wine served. Every course was presented with such attention to detail and offered a feast for the eyes as well as the taste buds. The staff were exceptional in every way, professional yet friendly. A fabulous experience I will be sharing with my friends and it won't be too long before I return.

What a wonderful night at Cord! We opted for the 9 course tasting menu and were blown away by the exquisite flavors and the presentation of each dish was phenomenal! The staff were super attentive. A big thank you to Flo who was very knowledgable, professional and friendly. What a wonderful place to celebrate our anniversary! We highly recommend to everyone and we will sure be back.

We went for the champagne pairing dinner which was a steal at £70 pp and the food was delicious. We will definitely come back.

A snooty start to our lunch. We were ignored for a while whilst the staff behind the bar in the cafe talked amongst themselves. Service improved in the main restaurant and was attentive and helpful. A succinct menu with something for everyone and allergens very clearly labelled and not embarrassingly tucked away in the small print like other restaurants. Spring heritage carrots to start with. Well cooked and seasoned carrots on an unexpected chic pea pattie. Pattie could have done with a little more seasoning. Cappelletti for mains. Delicate flavours, well presented but needed abit more on the plate. Forest gateau was a hit. Gone in seconds.

Cord was just amazing. We went for 9 course menu and the taste and presentation of every dish was phenomenal! Atmosphere is very relaxing at the same time you can see what is going on in the kitchen, how every details in your plate is implemented. The service was also brilliant! I will highly recommend this experience! It is totally worth it!

We went there for Valentine’s Day dinner and the experience was excellent. The staff were super attentive and knowledgeable in explaining their wine selection. Food was amazing and particularly surprised by the beetroot dish! The chicken with two sauces was perfect and couldn’t stop eating that! The little soup in a coffee cup was delicious but would be great if they can remind me that it’s super hot 🥵 as I drank it like if I was having tea and I burnt my tongue. Other than that, great atmosphere and would definitely recommend!

Amazing dinner at Cord. The restaurant is beautiful, the way the space is decorated and organised, makes you feel comfortable and helps to enjoy the experience even more. From the table you can see the kitchen, comparing with other open kitchen restaurants you don’t hear any noises and actually is very enjoyable to see how everybody is focus on their task. The service was both attentive and helpful, during the whole experience we were well looked after. The food was outstanding, we had the tasting menu, the quality of the ingredients was superb combined with the elegance and delicacy on the plating. I absolutely recommend to everybody and I will sure be back

Delicious 😋 sophisticated and rich flavours. We have left speechless. Rib eye steak to die for and generally absolutely every bit of it was thought through in great detail.

The food and service was absolutely amazing!

My colleague and I had a very good lunch at Cord this week. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was excellent too. This is the third time I have been to Cord in recent weeks, and it is now a firm favourite in the City. There are not many restaurants that come close to it in terms of their creative menu and presentation, in the City, at least.

Difficult to score because it is not my sort of place at all. The food was beautifully presented and no doubt perfectly cooked but it was all too 'clever'/'precious' for my taste. Tiny portions at considerable expense, which I am sure was justified but I would have preferred a pub meal. I cannot imagine it being very cosy in the evening. If this is your type of thing, you will be delighted by the wonderful presentation and exquisite taste, but (no criticism) not for me!

First time.back here for a few years and glad to see its still a quality venue with good food and great service.

I visited a café to grab a cake takeaway and found the service oddly unorganized. I asked what was inside the cake on display, and the waitress got instantly lost, attempting to guess but eventually gave up and went to grab a journal with the product list. After a few minutes of awkward waiting, now two waitresses shouted at me the list of ingredients. It was just a very weird experience overall. Regarding the cakes, the selection is very nice, including matcha panettone, Black Forest cake, petit-size mini cakes, and also some pastries. I went for a Christmas-themed chocolate tart that looked very cute and was flawlessly made, impressively so. The thinness and lines were as even as possible, offering a beautiful combination of crunchiness and creaminess. Flavorwise, less impressive though; it was as if it missed some kick or standout taste. Prices are surprisingly moderate as well, around £3 for a pastry and £5 for a cake slice or mini cakes. I’d rate it with 3 stars but the perfection of the cake execution for such a price stops me from this. Overall, worth trying but won't be returning.

I had the most perfect experience at Cord last week. The food was astonishing with so many delightful seasonal dishes - I felt I was truly eating autumn. The presentation and the explanation of each dish was flawless. The service was warm, inclusive and friendly, whilst remaining professional and non-intrusive. I will certainly be returning!

We had the best experience food and service alike were spot on! We had the pre theatre menu which was excellent value, the food was beautifully presented, interested and tasted delicious. The service was attentive, not intrusive and each dish was well explained.

Decor is stunning. It's a nice hidden gem in the city, a short walk from City Thameslink or Blackfriars station. It has both a cafe and restaurant and bar area. The service was really good and the staff were friendly and attentive. The food is good but not great - a tad pricy

Very competent cooking although it felt as though there was just one component missing from each dish to elevate it to excellence. Would go back though. Pretty good value for this location for a tasting menu. Very friendly and helpful service.

I ordered a hot chocolate and a slice of cake. The hot chocolate was served luke warm and the cake was dry & tasted stale. The presentation of the cake was beautiful nevertheless. On the positive, the cafe does have a nice atmosphere with ample seating area - if only the food was better.

We had such an amazing evening with Cord by le cordon bleu. Tried the summer menu which is really good!! We basically had all the dishes on the menu. Highly recommend the pigeon, definitely one of the best I had in london. Sweetbread is also a classic and lovely one. Crab salad is really refreshing. Desserts are classic french. Price is really reasonable. Will definitely visit again with friends!! 😍

I am just writing a complaint about the management as I was messed about , by a manager who emailed me about the potential of working there as I was suppose to work there previously, an I agreed an done an interview an a trial I waited for a response I emailed eventually after I was told by the manager I would know on the wenseday then I was told I won't know for another month I felt so annoyed that I couldn't be given just a straight answer it's really not a good look haven't even got apology, but I wish then company all the best as I do forgive but not like been disrespected like that .

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Excellent food & really attentive, friendly staff. Took the 7-course tasting menu; felt interesting but also still like a meal for sustenance with a good balance of animals & plants. They accommodated a couple of swaps (swapped out veal, plus took the vegan dessert instead of chocolate).

Nous avons découvert ce restaurant par hasard au coin d’une ruelle. Très bon accueil avec vestiaire pour les blousons disponible. Plusieurs menu découverte sont disponible avec un nombre de plat différent en fonction du menu. De notre côté nous avons opté pour celui avec 4 plats avec ajout du fromage et pour l’un des deux 1 verre de vin par plat recommandé par le maître sommelier. Le service et le dressage des plats est digne d’un restaurant étoilé. Nous avons découvert des plats délicieux et nos papilles étaient enchantées à chaque bouchée. Concernant le prix nous avons donc payé pour 2, un peu plus de 300€

This was SO GOOD! The entire experience was so high end, we felt like we were in a Michelin star restaurant, but paid super affordable price. They have different menu prices and on Monday and Friday have a market menu that’s only 29£ but similar high quality. The food was delicious, the service was great and the atmosphere felt great.

Stumbled across this perfect little patisserie. The pastries and cakes were fantastic. Delicate, rich in flavour, and clearly made by a skilled professional pastry chef. The space was also very nicely stylised; great for a casual work coffee or a casual stop for tourists near St Paul’s Cathedral. Looking forward to trying the sandwiches next time 👍

Average place with great service and below average food. The leek salad was drowning in vinegar and to be honest was horrible. The risotto didn’t have the flavour or creaminess at all, it was so bland! I ate there on Tuesday and today is Friday and I still an upset stomach, the food gave me the most severe cramps. I would not return and would not recommend, at around £100 pp for lunch I should have been amazed by the quality of the food but it’s just the service.

My girlfriend and I celebrated our St Valentine with a dinner at CORD. We had a great time; the staff was attentive and knowledgeable, and the food was amazing. The wagyu rib eye was possible the best steak I ever had in my life. All in all, despite not being cheap, it was relatively good value too. We also really felt the amuse bouche and the petit fours were a really nice touch. We will definitely be back!

It’s definitely the best value for a Fine dinning. Own by family culinary school Le Corden Bleu. Every ingredients in the house are the finest. If you have business lunch meeting then this place is a place not to miss

We booked in advance for a treat while in the area. I have a nut allergy and made this clear on the reservation. Also clarified on a phone call to reconfirm the reservation. When we visited the menus had changed and the waitress told us that there were no options available to us. It took quite some time for this matter to be sorted. In the end the chefs had no issue in making the changes, the waitress was ill informed. Overall there was a poor attitude from some staff and a poor attitude at the front of house from some staff. The working relationship was strained. The food was very good but not what we were expecting. The cost of the meal reflected the food, but not the atmosphere.

It was a great first time experience for us! The service was amazing, well done and open to our remarks even though we had nothing else to say but that the food was amazing! The decoration and overall ambience of the restaurant was really well done, a great view into the kitchen and the chefs and great mood!

Honestly a very pleasant experience overall. The consideration for the spacing of tables and having enough privacy was great and sets a very comforting atmosphere. Front of house staff very professional yet friendly in their conversations and of course the food itself I do feel was fair in pricing with the 7 tasting course. Amazing sauces, shame about not having the tea pairing with the course available I'm a very huge lover of tea but hopefully I'll come back again to try.

It’s ok if you want something that is between fine dining and a classic restaurant. The food is not Michelin star level so don’t expect it to blow your mind.

Pros: - good service - nice location - good wine pairings Cons - food lacked depth and flavour (it seemed that the produce itself was flavourless?) - music is tinny and unatmospheric - presentation over substance / flavour Would love for this restaurant to improve as the staff were really nice

Food was hit and miss. The panna cotta was especially disappointing (one of the worst I have had), the leak salad had too much vinegar in it, the main was just ok, the dover sole was tiny. So I don’t think it worth the price at all. The mocktail I had had no flavour. It was a pity that there was a large group who clearly had too much to drink and was basically shouting at each other. I had to ask to change seat coz we were right next to them and our ears were ringing. However, when I signaled to the waiter, he shaked his head and refused to come to our table at first even though he was just standing there, and there were no other customers. That was a bit shock to me.. he did come in the end and changed our seat but I don’t think he would have reacted that way if I’m a white male. I do think the restaurant should have told the table to lower their voice - I could hear every word of that group’s conversation when I’m seated at the other end of the restaurant!!

The only way to describe this establishment is to say it is a dinning experience at its very best. From the decor which is welcoming you to raise your expectations to the attentive staff who guide and serve you knowing you are here for a treat. From the bread to the starter, to the main and dessert, everything was exceptional. I left a convert, knowing this is now my favourite restuarant in London. I can't wait to return

Absolutely amazing restaurant. Went with my partner for a 4 course tasting meal and some cocktails. The Polish waitress (I forgot her name I fortunately) was an absolute delight. Took us through each menu item and explained the thought behind it and the chefs recommendations.

I had one of my birthday meals in August at Le Cordon Bleu’s new restaurant. The price was a third of the restaurant we went to the night before yet we thoroughly enjoyed it. £35 for their summer menu which included freshly baked bread and butter, three course dinner, mignardise, and a glass champagne. What a steal?! They even kindly gave me an additional birthday dessert 🎂

My husband and I had the 7 course tasting Menu at Cord on our visit to London. The food was superb, wine was delicious and the staff couldn't be friendlier! We had so much fun at this tasting and loved every minute of it. Definitely worth the splurge if you are in the city.

Was there for a birthday dinner and was expecting good food but potentially a clinical experience. Only one of those was true, the food was stunning and the service was incredible. Attentive and knowledgeable from the staff you couldn’t ask for more. The food was better than expected and we were expecting great. The veal sweetbread was potentially the best thing I’ve eaten. Good selection for vegetarians. Very competitive pricing, really not ridiculous. 8/8 I rate.

I reserved a table in the morning but had to cancel it a few hours later on the same day. They charged me a cancellation fee. I know this is their policy, but I had never seen a restaurant apply it strongly the way they do (and I claim I am well travelled)

“CORD” offered a highly perplexing mix of positives and negatives, which was strongly overshadowed by offensive prices for underwhelming food. This restaurant markets itself as offering the finest, Michelin star quality food, at provincial restaurant prices; by virtue of training London’s top chefs to create challenging dishes for sophisticated pallets. Unfortunately our individual dining experience can be described as being underwhelming, with need for clear improvement. The restaurant is set off the street, and is accessed on a side street through major doors, which are not attended regularly. This certainly adds to the allure of an exclusive experience, but could’ve been signposted in a more appropriate way. There was, clearly, nobody in charge of a cloakroom, and no front of house staff who are *set* at a reception. It was only when we walked into the dining room that we were ushered to our table. The decor is generally pleasing, but tricks the eye to missing the important points. Chairs were comfortable enough, but not something to sink back into during a long meal. Service: Service was excellent. Pleasing to note is that when food is brought out, they explain exactly what they’ve done when preparing the food. This is a nice touch, especially when interesting. Presentation: Almost Michelin level, and forgivable if it was. Some small areas for improvement. Food quality: 4/10. We were sat near the kitchen and heard the head chef say to a junior not to over-saturate the raw ingredients with seasoning. This is absolutely the correct approach, but much of our food was under-seasoned, and bland without. Opportunities were clearly missed both for the starters and the main courses, which should be taken for granted at these prices. Desserts were generally better, and I wonder if this is due to preparation beforehand, but they still lacked the magic dust of many a top establishment. In regards to our desserts, I regrettably write this while sat on my toilet. The nicest item we collectively had was my dessert, the “Chocolate Croissant”. I noted in the tasting notes that this dish was extremely rich; although there is a clear line that is drawn between what is rich and what is eye-watering. I am now painfully aware that the error of this distinction results in “gold leaf stew”. Overall, we were not impressed, but this is not an embittered review where we say “we won’t be back”. I hope this place improves, as it has the potential to with a change of direction. Please also be aware that *everything* you order, attracts a 12.5% service charge, so bear this in mind when ordering.

Fantastic dining experience — I’m so glad we stopped by today. Walked in close to 1pm on a weekday and there was no problem getting a table. Service is very attentive and personable. We ordered both from their summer menu and a la carte menu, everything was splendid. Desserts are heavenly too. We didn’t order wine but I loved their cherry Manhattan. Would definitely recommend to everyone who’s coming to London. We brought kids and I want to comment our kids felt very welcomed here, they commented this is the best restaurant ever, and it’s not exaggerating. :) On practical information side, there are 2 secluded entrances next to a church: one for the Cord cafe, and one for the main restaurant, the cafe is connected to the restaurant lobby too, so taking either entrance would work.

All plates' presentation were meticulous and the waiters were patient and explained the dishes well. Each dish were amazing and I can't wait to come back again to try other dishes
