Cookies And Cones in Derby

Brought my daughter here for an ice cream after school. Waited ages for a drink only one person serving. We asked for a few things wasn't in apparently. Had to get money back for drink. Cakes wasn't very nice at all Don't waste your money or time!

Was looking forward to this for a first visit but it was very mediocre. Between us we tried a bit of everything but nothing was that great. What you see on the website and menu isn't what you end up with in the restaurant. Had to change orders a lot as was asking for things which weren't available. Unfortunately we won't be returning.

We previously went to you Rayleigh outlet and enjoyed a Sundae. Today (05/09/2021 @ 3:05) I made a special trip with my son so we could both enjoy a Sundae, having had one previously. While queuing we decided on the Strawberry's and Cream Sundae each chosen from the quite clear board of Sundaes at the back of the counter with a clear price of £6:95 each. Once at the counter we stated our order. This is where it all falls apart. The man responded that you do not sell any of those Sundaes they are just ideas for what you could make. He said we need to chose 2 scoops of ice cream and add the various toppings (none of which are Strawberry like). That does not make a Sundae. Really disappointed as it appears Cookies and Cones no longer do Sundaes. Unless this changes and your advertising in store changes, we'll sadly no longer be frequenting any Cookies and Cones outlet.

We visited the new Rayleigh branch at the weekend after several attempts to eat in previously didn't happen (due to long queues). I have to say, we had very high expectations after reading reviews online and lets face it, the menu looks amazing! Whilst the menu is amazing and the desserts are really delicious, I think the service was pretty poor. There are literally only 3 tables inside but my table and the other 2 all had issues with our orders. Firstly it took an age to order, the young girls don't seem to know what they are doing and from someone that's worked in catering for years, they need some direction and management. I only ordered 3 desserts. The waffle came in a box? Really unsure why as we were eating in and my daughters icecream didn't arrive at all. When I went up to ask if it was coming, the girl said it was but then asked what it was I was waiting for, so she clearly had no idea. At this point I think I could have told her anything and she would have made it and brought it over. The table next to us also had waffles but theirs were served on plates and the portion sizes were much bigger. They too got 3 of their desserts and had to wait for their 4th. We noticed that the 3rd table also had some of their order missing too. It can't be that difficult to serve 3 tables or rather it shouldn't be. I'd go back for the product because I have the sweetest tooth but I hope the service improves!
