Katherine was the person looking after me at Comptoir Libanais Stansted Airport. Her professionalism is absolutely outstanding and she is very caring and empathetic… I felt like home… thank you Katherine for the wonderful service and thanks for the great food.. always come there when I travel and it never ever disappoints

The food was prepared quickly and fresh. We were treated with respect and kindness. The food itself was amazing, way above normal airport standerds.

If you can’t cook a burger properly you really should shut up shop and go home. Over cooked bland burger. Poor tiny portions. High prices. Nobody asked ask if the food was okay. Nobody said please or thank you. Manners cost nothing! All round failures. But hey. It’s a captive audience at the airport! You have been warned. AVOID!

Very nice. A more calm atmosphere than the rest of the airport, unique style and you got the food fast. Have good vegan/fasting options and the staff was nice and asked if you have food allergies!

I don't recommend this place at all.

A great space to sit and have a quiet meal away from the airport crowds, it is beautiful inside and decor really good. We had a couple of breakfasts, the avocado was really very good, the cooked breakfast underwhelming & very small. The coffee machine had broken which was unfortunate & our waiter appeared tired and very disengaged! atmosphere great for a quiet spot, service quick but unwelcoming, food a bit hit and miss.

Very cosy and well decorated restaurant, right before you turn into the various gates for boarding. Our first try at Lebanese food and thought it was pretty good! The staff were super friendly and made lots of tables smile, recommended good food and desserts options and we enjoyed our short stint there 👍🏻 Food was good too, the stew was of the right balance for us with a decent portion of ingredients in them, and the toufaha was good 🧃 Definitely will return to try more Lebanese food in future!

I think the breakfast is a bit pricey provided its food quality and portion (over £20 per person when order full breakfast and a cup of coffee) but we were served by a very lovely waitress, she is very friendly and provided very good hospitality, but I don’t know her name so can’t mention here.

If you're looking for a Lebanese restaurant with stunning decor and a welcoming atmosphere, this place is a great choice. The ambiance is beautifully designed, offering a relaxing and pleasant environment for dining. However, my experience with the breakfast menu was underwhelming. While the service was friendly and polite, the food itself fell short of expectations. The portions were surprisingly small, and the flavours were quite bland, lacking the rich and vibrant tastes you’d expect from Lebanese cuisine. In short, the restaurant excels in atmosphere and service, but the breakfast options leave much to be desired in terms of flavours and portion size.

Very friendly and quick service once seated. The food was very tasty (not just for airport standards) and prices reasonable. £8.95 for a shakshuka. I don't think I can find that anywhere in London/Cambridge Update £14.45 for a shakshuka with egg and beef sausages as of September 2024. Still very good value. Still so tasty, and my go to at Stansted airport

Everything was very nice, the atmosphere very moody, I felt like in a museum, so many details with decor, just loved it. Drinks were served quickly, and they were very tasty and strong. The waiter was very professional and friendly. Prices are on the higher side, but still, I would definitely recommend this place even if you never had Lebanese food before.

Good experience and delicious food. We tried a few dishes and all of them were quite nice and flavorful. The service was really good too. Tried passion fruit martini, was kind of okay ☺️

Small plate for what you pay for. For being an apparent Lebanese restaurant no fresh juices and the one served are served with a lot of not asked ice which reduce the amount of the drink. Friendly staff.

Amazing food, service decor and atmosphere. Staff were perfectly attentive, just the right balance to make sure we were all good and had all we wanted. Great choice of a place to eat at Stansted to start a holiday. It seemed less "jam packed" than other restaurants, which was nice and the reason my husband convinced me to have a meal here. He loves the food, but I was a bit unsure. The food was amazing and glad I agreed.

All good except of service. There was a weird waiter who looked like on drugs. Kept staring at people and was rude when taking payment.

Noticed walking in they've changed their menu... great, love a bit of culinary creativeness! Only it turns out this is a purely financial change, they've now removed chips from all their meals and instead it's £6 as a side. So a lamb kofta burger and fries is now £27 including tip, £35 with a drink. It's definitely not worth that money, go to burger king next door and get 3 meals for the same price. Food used to be good, I assume it still is. Corporate greed fueling inflation again.

If you have time, a much better option than other fast food or sandwiches. Decent food, pretty decor, lovely staff, a socket to charge my phone. Honestly if I have to spend time in Stansted again I will choose this restaurant. I won't give it 5 stars because it's a bit too expensive for what it is but so are all restaurants at the airport.

Popped in here today (Aug '23) before getting a flight. Despite the fact the airport was really busy you can't hear much of the noise when inside, I think the way these units have been designed help minimise the ambient noise. The inside is nicely decorated and the waiter serving us was very nice and helpful. Kids & wife had a halloumi wrap and I went for the mixed grill. Mixed grill was excellent value at £16 with some decent sized kofta portions and chicken taouk, all seasoned really well. Finished off with the baklava (3 pieces for £5.95 which is a bit overpriced) and the milk pudding which was fantastic. If looking for somewhere to eat in Stansted would definitely recommend. Update August '24: back here again as its becoming the go to place whenever we are in Stansted. Still a good place to go with good food and service. Only slight moan is the have taken the milk pudding off the menu which I was very disappointed about. Has been replaced with a chocolate ganache/ mousse thing (pictured), which was ok but not a patch on the milk pudding.

Don’t get fooled by the “kids eat free” scam like we did. When we enquired about the “kids eat free” offer - as advertised around Stansted airport - not only did the waitress NOT tell us we needed a voucher to trigger our free kids breakfasts she told us we just needed to spend £20 to trigger them. So we ordered an adult breakfast and some coffees and drinks, coming to more than the £20 we thought was required. It was only when we went to pay that we were told we needed a voucher to qualify for the free kids breakfast. And then, it turned out that even the voucher wasn’t enough … So because we had time before our flight, my partner went off to get a voucher from customer services. It was only then that we found out that we actually had to spend £20 - each - on FOOD ONLY, to qualify for free kids breakfasts. Drinks didn’t count. So it was a pointless exercise, cost us double what we expected to pay and eventually made us tight getting to our gate and caused unnecessary stress. This is a clear scam by both the airport and the restaurant to get unsuspecting families to sit down and order on the pretence that kids will eat free. When they get hit with the real story at time of paying I’m sure 9 times out of 10 people will just pay full price or they will risk missing their flight going off to get a voucher, etc. Except they’ve been scammed of course. If the waitress had been clear and transparent when we enquired about the “kids eat free” offer we would’ve still eaten there because the food was actually quite good. Because she wasn’t, we never will again. As I said … rip-off Britain at its finest.

We chose the restaurant as there were not a lot of choice inside Stansted Airport. Food was fair considering the venue. Grilled meat was on the dry side. Service was good but I must admit I would have considered this at best mediocre at other times.

My go-to restaurant/café in Stansted. The staff are always kind here, great service, good food, relaxing atmosphere.

It’s just a shame. Service is nice they did a good job but what is wrong with those prices ? £4 for a tea?? Breakfast for £15 which should be called kids meal.. The whole idea of this place is just not fair towards people

so rare to find a restaurant in a city which serves beef/chicken/turkey alternatives to pork, let alone a restaurant in a airport, got myself the big breakfast with 2 turkey rashers 2 beef sausages couldn’t be more happier, writing this review as I’m finishing my meal I couldn’t even wait! Staff are very professional & very welcoming, thankyou!!

Ovviamente turistico. Tuttavia nella preparazione dei piatti (tradizionali libanesi) si potrebbe evitare di condire tutti i tipi di carne con lo stesso intruglio super piccante. La grigliata mista quasi immangiabile, l'insalata Fattoush discreta ma piuttosto povera. Prezzi nella norma, per un ristorante aeroportuale. Servizio accettabile.

Great spot for brekkie before a flight - this has replaced the old Giraffe and adds a good bit of difference of experience to your pre-flight brekkie. Fantastic shaksuka and flatbread was tasty and wholesome, and staff were great and food quickly delivered Will look forward to going back

Fast service, thankfully. You can order take away at your table. The lamb kofta x 2 was tasteless though and very small portion of rice. Decent salad. £5 for a juice drink

Only had a hot chocolate because I had an early flight but I will make sure to come back another time for a full meal!

This is the first time we have used Comptoir at the airport. After a stressful hour in a very crowded security queue it was lovely to sit in a spacious relaxing environment. The staff were super friendly, helpful and efficient. We both had a Shakshuka which was delicious and a great change from the usual full English or avocado on toast. The coffee was also excellent. The only thing that wasnt 100% were the fried potatoes extras

If you come here,please try their signature meals,you wont regret it,the food is magnificent, mot spicy,but with spices, perfect blend of aromatic food plus a quality dish. I love this place

What an oasis from a terminally busy (pun intended) airport. Great food, awesome service. And if you are looked after by Iswan, you are genuinely being looked after. Highly recommended, and I’ve never recommended anywhere in any airports anywhere.

We had a long delay at Stansted to decided to make the most of it and have a full on dinner at Comptoir Libanais instead of just grabbing the usual sandwich shop. Decor is great and the tables and spacious too. Try to get a both if you can. They have a reasonable kids menu. The rest of the prices are much like you would expect for dinner in a casual london restaurant I would allow about £20 pp without drinks. Food was tasty particularly the messes and the chicken toak. The service was great and they never rushed us which was just as well. Recommend

Anamul our Maitre D/host was one of the best I have seen in any restaurant anywhere from Petrus in London to our local pub in the Cotswolds. He was kind, attentive and efficient with all of the customers, those lucky enough to be sitting at a table and those standing in the long queue. He did not take his eye off the ball for one second, clearing tables, taking orders and reassuring those waiting that it wouldn't be too long - all done with a smile on what was a very busy airport day full of grumpy delayed passengers. Hats off to Anamul, you would be an asset to any hospitality business, Comptoir Libanais Stansted is lucky to have you!

Looked lovely and had a nice menu but I didn’t even get to eat. I stood waiting to be seated and after smiling at two different waiters who just saw me standing there for minutes I just left.

Sub par Lebanese food if you are used to eating the cuisine. Manager or whoever was the man in plain clothes was fairly rude about me feeding my baby a few bites of his other food from next door before we rushed off to the gate. Will spend my money else where next time.

I recently had an opportunity to visit Comptoir Libanais at Stansted Airport. Although I was unable to dine there due to its closure at the time, I am compelled to share my admiration for this restaurant chain based on my previous experiences at other locations. **Atmosphere and Decoration:** Comptoir Libanais is renowned for its vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. Each restaurant is beautifully adorned with colorful, eclectic decor that transports you to the heart of Lebanon. The interiors are a feast for the eyes, featuring an array of Middle Eastern-inspired art, traditional textiles, and quirky details that create a warm and inviting ambiance. The bright, patterned tablecloths and the array of hanging lanterns add to the charm, making it a perfect spot for a casual meal with friends or family.

Great restaurant, it doesn’t even feel like being in a busy airport!

Went here for a meal and drinks before our flight and left really disappointed. The food was lukewarm and mediocre! We sent the halloumi back because it was hard and stone cold, and the manager literally microwaved it and gave it back to us in one minute. You would think they would make a fresh one! (Guess not) When we asked if it was microwaved, he laughed and said, "You lot know the restaurant game." Earlier, when we asked why the food was cold, he responded, "Are you from London? You're used to eating hot food, but in our restaurant, this is how it’s meant to be served." Absolutely shocking. We didn't know whether to laugh or shout at this point. Thankfully, the gate opened, so we just left. Will never go here again!

Nicely designed place, nice and friendly stuff , food was properly bad, ordered signature comptoir breakfest, potatoes served easy 2 days old, all the food was dry and just a bit heated in microwave, except fried eggs. An extra fried egg cost ~3£ 😀 Shakshucha was a little bit better. Not recommended if you going for a food.

Just had the best Bloody Mary of my life! Thought I'd go for something different and have a Lebanese breakfast - the breakfast was good but the Bloody was even better. Sumac on the rim, lovely.

Like this place. The food is very good, and atmosphere. Unfortunately this time had a bad experience with services. Is it a single woman problem? First of all the member of staff took order from a man, sitting next to me (even he just arrived and I was awaiting quite a while). After he took order from me. Again, when gentleman next to me finish his food, the staff member came to his table and asked if he wants dessert. Straight he came to my table and just tidied up. At this moment I lost any interest to order desert. Shame, probably won't come back to this place. Not suitable for single woman travellers.

Usually fly out of Gatwick to Madeira but first from Stansted. Decided to try here for a meal. Menu looked interesting. Asked to move from a close to people table and went to a middle of aisle one with our cases. Luckily Corey spotted us and asked if we would prefer not to get mown down by traffic and we moved to a nice semi circular table. This relaxed us. We chose 2 tagines. One chicken and one aubergine. Both delicious as was the couscous. We also shared a garlic flat bread. Portions were fine as was the food. This was accompanied by a nice cup of tea. Yes an unusual combination. For dessert we shared the baklava assortment. We then ordered a lovely mocktail with saffron and ginger. Overall. Enjoyed the music and ambience and food. Shout out for Corey who made the experience for us.

Food was good with a nice atmosphere. The waitress was very helpful in accommodating for gluten sensitivity. While the allergen menu shows almost no options I was able to get the shakshuka. The flatbread was switched for the gluten free fried potatoes and the sausage (which contains gluten) was switched to the bacon (might contain gluten).

Enjoyed a very early breakfast here with my daughter. Lovely venue, very pretty and well decorated. Clean and neat, fantastic service, the food came quickly and was excellent and my coffee was great. It's a welcome oasis compared to the chaos of Stanstead departures and thoroughly deserves the 5 star rating.

Friendly and efficient. Excellent menu and food reasonably priced. Good for a snack, light lunch or something more substantial. Decor makes it stand out from the rest.

Restaurant close to the access to the boarding gates. Cozy and Arabic style decoration. It is spacious and it is not difficult to find a place to sit and eat. The staff is friendly and the service is fast. The food is Mediterranean in character and is tasty. The prices, those that correspond to an airport, although without being cheap, I found it more affordable than other nearby restaurants. Surely, when I pass through that terminal again and it happens to be lunchtime, I will return to this place. I liked.

Every time we fly from Stansted we come to eat our breakfast/lunch here. The decor is super cute, the waiting staff are very nice and service is quick. The shakshuka here is amazing, the perfect balance of spiciness and flavor. As a side note, I think they've increased the prices lately, it used to be a bit cheaper from what I can remember. Other than that it's very good.

My husband and I had really, really nice food here. The staff were quick to seat us, and really attentive. We had a couple of things to eat, all were equally as nice as the other. Really comfy benches too when waiting for flights! I wouldn't even say super expensive, it is what you expect!

Had a lovely pre flight breakfast. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Much better than eating at the more usual establishments. I will certainly eat here again next time I pass through Stansted.

For an airport restaurant this place exceeds expectations. The middle eastern food is very good, it is comfortable and the staff very efficient. The staff are quite diligent in keeping the place tidy considering the number of patrons they get. This is the restaurant of choice whenever I pass through Stansted. Recommended.

Ordered lemon and lime lemonade it was mixed out of a bottle, Ordered hallumi aubergine burger 3 slices of Hallumi 1 slice aubergine. Glas of wine few penny short of £30 . Over priced and not worth it . .

I had lunch at Comptoir Libanais at Stansted Airport and was thoroughly impressed. The service was exceptional and the food quality was quite good. I’m very happy with the overall experience and would definitely recommend it!

Definitely one of the best restaurants in the Standard airport, if not the best. Delicious food and great service quality. Really highly recommended!

Had really high expectations. But it turned out to be one of the worst restaurant experiences with me. After standing at the front for more than 10 min the manager asked me to get an order from someone else. Total waste of time if you got a flight after 30 min or so. They claim Yallah food is served in 5 minutes. Which is a joke on another level. Buy food from outside rather than paying for these useless expensive restaurants.

Don’t understand how this place isn’t 5 stars. And for being in an airport?? It’s the best food I’ve ever had in an airport. Get the mixed grill and baba ganouch.

It's absolutely lovely. I really look forward to coming here when at Stansted. Anything I've ever had has been perfect. Loads of flavour, really nice ambience. And great staff. It is worth getting to the airport a little earlier than usual so you take advantage!! ☺️

Not Lebanese, more like white people imitating Lebanese.. nothing is fresh.. even the diet coke tasted weird sluggish..

We ordered: the shakshuka with beef sausage 10/10, amazing flavors Hummus 7/10, tasted very strong but was still nice And the large breakfast, very tasty The decor is beautiful and very cosy!

As a Lebanese person I am ashamed that white people run this restaurant with such bitterness and hate. They food was terrible, dry and not fresh. The bread and chicken wrap I ordered was so dry and cold. I could barely chew it so I just spat it out. The music.. am I in the Sahara f desert? Do you think us Arabs enjoy being labelled in this way? Represent properly and cook food correctly. If you don’t know how to make an another cultures food DONT AT ALL. What a waste of money and time

I only drank tea there, so I can't rate the food. The tea was very good. This was served very quickly and you could pay directly (but this is always good to know and important at the airport). The ambience speaks for itself, really inviting. A tea and pot cost £3. There was already a service fee included in the price.

On my list of the TOP restaurants inside Airports. The food is great and the staff very friendly. Had the Hummus with some bread and the Halloumi open wrap! Not my first visit and for sure not the last one! 👍🏼

The atmosphere is amazing and the restaurant is very nicely decorated in a "ethnic" and colourful way. The food is quite average in taste. Unfortunately the service charge % is added automatically to the bill and I think this is not mentioned anywhere on the menu. This is a very shady and unfair practice towards the customers. And on top of that the terminal for payment also asks you for an additional tip.

Food was fantastic and the service was above & beyond! Our server was very thorough in asking after my food intolerances and recommending options I'd be able to safely enjoy. The rose mint tea was something special, as well!

Great atmosphere, friendly, quick service but without rushing, and tasty food. Also power sockets near all seats for charging your devices. What more could you want from airport face? Ticks all the boxes.

Amazing. Best food I’ve ever had in an airport. Atmosphere was great inside. And food to suit as well. But what topped it was the service. I don’t know the name of one of the main servers, but he was incredible. Super friendly and polite. A joy to dine here. And that’s very rare for any airport. Really surprised. Come here the next time you’re flying out of Stanstead. You won’t regret it!

Great vegan Lebanese breakfast and side falafel! Was tasty and filling, we shared this before a noon flight- we The hot chocolate drink (chose almond milk) was also delicious. The place is beyond beautiful, stands out at the airport. We were also served quick and friendly.

Stuff was friendly, but the breakfast was kiddies portion, kind of dry 'small ...no comment! Please get rid of the "chef"
