This is a wonderful restaurant. The food is amazing. A welcome change from the rub of the mill stuff. Pleasant staff and I tend to make it my office for between flights. Starting with the full breakfast then coffee and hummous. Amazing. The decor is nice, there are loads of sockets and even the ceiling is decked with flowers. A little oasis in the middle of a busy airport.

Very friendly staff who were kind and welcoming. Food is served quickly which is perfect if you’re trying to grab a quick bite before you’re flight. The chicken wings were cooked perfectly. The meat was juicy, tender and fell right off the bone. Prices are reasonable for an airport location.

Great waitresses ! Also, good healthy food and coffee.

Had an amazing experience due to first av all the service, the staff. I’m sure all of the staff was great but the guy who took the orders on my side was sooo welcoming, made me as alone traveller so comfortable to sit here, wait out my flight time, he took care of all the guests around me so well, so we all got on a smile on our face to. So warming atmosphere!! The drinks, especially the lemonads was amazing! Drank rose and the pomegranate version. Sallad was amazing to, glad for the recommendation of him too! Would easily choose this airport for future trips just for this place!🤩

I had a really upsetting experience at Comptoir Libanais (Stansted branch) yesterday. I had left my baby for the first time and after a very busy day I sat down for a meal and began to assemble my breast pump. I was about to attach it when the manager (Florin) appeared over my shoulder and told me that “this was not the place for that!” He continued “that is why we have family rooms” [in the airport]. I was so taken aback but I managed to say something along the lines of I am allowed to do this in public, to which he responded that he personally didn’t want to see it-it was not the place and would put the other diners off their food! I felt so humiliated and angry. As a breastfeeding mom, I have never encountered this treatment before. I am incredibly disappointed. I left the restaurant and cried. Breastfeeding is a beautiful, natural gift that I am blessed to give to my children. I should not be made to feel like I am doing something indecent! It is my prerogative whether I would like to use the family room or not. That’s my choice, not Florin’s. What happened here is illegal. Do better!

A nice breakfast at the airport. Ordered the scrambled eggs with feta cheese and I can say it was a good portion size for the price.

The food quality 2/10.. it is very very bad I’m not exaggerating AT ALL !!! Got sick after having a meal there.. immediately felt sick in my stomach and had a horrible feeling during my flight and trip !!… worst experience ever

Waiting in departures for a flight, hungry, not wanting to go too mad but not wanting to have to eat on the flight. Avoided Trumpland eateries and Spoons because its arch brexiteer Martin’s, had a few choices left but decided on Comptoire Libonnaise. Really surprised, great fresh food, friendly quick service and very reasonably priced. If it was out on the high street, I would search it out again A+++

Overall, really a great place. At times we forgot that we were actually at the airport. Thank you for the super friendly service and the really authentic food 🫶🏽

The best food in the airport, certainly the freshest tasting. I pass through this terminal 20+ times a year. Only second time in here, but the food tastes great. I was hoping the new Mexican would be OK but it's just Old El Paso on a plate. Trust me, this is good and also reasonably priced.

Food had no taste, it was very bland, coffee wasn’t hot enough, would not recommend.

Had breakfast there today before a flight. Excellent. Ilona was our server. She was fantastic. The friendliest and most cheerful person imaginable at 6am. A delight.

A very beautiful restaurant of the famous chain inside the airport (after security). Prices are reasonable, the staff is very attentive, and the service is quick. Will definitely come back next time at Stansted.

I would have gladly given 5 stars, but the prices are a little high and the quantities a little small. For the rest the service and food are excellent!! Special mention to the Asian lady at the entrance (super kind) and the blonde girl, super professional, courteous, very thoughtful and attentive to customer requests. My favorite restaurant when leaving Stansted. Highly recommended

Best Airport Food Ever! They are situated right in the middle of the Stansted Airport Terminal! Thanks to the colorful, flowery, but comfortable decor it’s a peaceful oasis away from the crowd. The food is super tasty and fresh. The staff is a delight! Super nice. Lots of little banter going on between them without being intrusive. Reasonable priced. Drinks delicious - dessert too! Wish they had a spot in every airport! Will be back! Thanks for making wait bearable, guys!

Staff was very friendly and confirmed food was all Halal however they do Alcohol as well. We tried Chicken Taouk and Lentil soup and both were fresh and delicious. Prices were reasonable for a airport restaurant and service was good too. Overall a great place to munch before your departure ✅

Had lunch here today and really liked it. Food was good, decent portion, salads were fresh and the lemonades of different varieties was a nice touch. The best thing about it wad the service though. Both the fellow who seated me and the lady who looked after me while I ate were super friendly and pleasant. Would go back, for sure.

One of the best shashuka I've had in a long while. Three different options. Egg fried rather than poached in the sauce but amazing taste, plenty of onions, nice spice chilli. Saw many people order the same, so seems to be a favourite! Service excellent, plenty of staff. Flight display board in restaurant area so super easy to track. Good coffee... Folder available shows all allergies

Very bad experience, Floren the manager is not suit enough to do his job, Very bad. We just came back from London city and looking forward to eat in the restaurant in Stansted Airport before we going back to Ireland.. My friends already dine and they called us(we doing our shoppings) I have my 3 kids with me and We went inside straight to my friends table, they have already table with us and then, This manager ask me how many, then i said actually we are with them and he straight away told me, in my face that this is not waiting area(we know!) 😢🙁We are so hungry, but I felt bad and just go outside, felt discriminate. What a manager, you should treat people fairly, wherever they came from. Avoid‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️

I have never eaten Lebanese cuisine, for it was the first time I was very happy. I chose the mixed grill (which I recommend), Very tasty, served with a typical salad and rice. Fast service and friendly staff. Nice environment, especially due to the long waits at the airport. It feels like being somewhere else, I don't know how relevant it is to Lebanon but I certainly spent a very pleasant hour

(Stansted airport, departures terminal, UK, Febr 2025). What a nice surprise! The best ( the most decent) airport food I’ve ever had ( the first one after which I didn’t have a severe heartburn). I understand this is a chain and they are over London, including Heathrow. We tried mixed meze and a mixed grill/meat and both were plenty for two people to share . The grilled meat was flavorful but a little bit on a dry side. However, again, in comparison with microwaved tasteless meats I would usually get at the airports, this one was quite good. Meze plate was excellent! Next time when I fly through Stansted, I would go for a meze plate and chicken wings . Service was outstanding and prompt. Seats were very comfortable. Adorable decor. Flight I for panel is right there, you can monitor your flight from your table. Overall, strongly recommend if you have to eat at the airport

A lush little eatery where you can almost forget that you’re in an airport. There is plenty of staff here who are very friendly and welcoming. The service was very good and very professional. The decor was classically colourful and vibrant, setting a warm relaxing vibe. There are plenty of tables and several cosy booths. The food caters well for all with a great selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes as well as meat dishes, and the food is fresh and very tasty. Good selection of hot and cold drinks too. We shared a pot of tea, a baba Ghanouj, a falafel, and a halloumi and tomato with a yemini salsa. Then we shared an orange cake. Banging food, super tasty! Sorry…we forgot to take any pictures of our food, we were too busy stuffing our faces 😬🐽 A little expensive – nearly £10.00 for a dessert – but we would highly recommend this eatery to anyone looking for a more authentic and traditional cuisine when at London Stansted Airport. Nulla di trascendentale (siamo in aeroporto, che vuoi pretendere), ma comunque tra qualche falafel, hommous, baba ganoush, tabbouleh e cheese samboussek ci si puo' sfamare senza appensantirsi e senza spendere un capitale, baklava' di dessert comprese (invero decisamente modeste)

We stopped here for lunch whilst waiting for our flight. Restaurant was pretty empty and the service was quick. The food came out reasonably fast and was presented well and tasted good. My lamb kofte open wrap was delicious and I would recommend this restaurant, although it was pricey.

The portion sizes were criminal. Ordered the full English equivalent for roughly £16 and portion size was so small. One sausage and one turkey rasher. The service was very good.

Lovely tasty food served with a warm friendly smile. Comfortable seats and a lovely colourful cheerful environment. Would really recommend this instead of a boring rip off WH Smith sandwich or Burger King.

I don’t usually leave reviews but this place is incredible! The service is fantastic and the staff go above and beyond. I had the shakshuka with a beef sausage and feta, it came out super quickly was served piping just how I like it. It was the best shakshuka I’ve ever had! This was such a great start to my holiday and every time I travel from Stansted’s, I’ll be eating at Comptoir Libanis - absolutely brilliant!

Just fantastic. Pick any international airport and - irrelevant of the quality - the restaurants are inevitably rushed, impersonal, and make you feel like a pay check. Not so at Comptoir! A laughing casual vibe amongst the staff, service ataht makes you feel individual and extra effort for you is the norm. Great food to boot and a friendly also family banter amongst the staff - none of which intrudes, but adds to the great experience. After a terrible start with Stansted security I left Comptoir feel like I was already on holiday and it'll be my only destination next time at Stansted!

I ordered the mixed grill platter, but the meat quality is very poor. You can literally taste that they only use the cheapest meat quality. Very disappointing with the meat. They’re only in business to maximise profit not to showcase the Lebanese cuisine.

Excellent service and food. What a pleasure to find tasty food at this airport. Full of flavour, freshly cooked, efficient and friendly service, very tolerant of dietary requirements.

Except for the friendly staff and the nice atmosphere, nothing here is lebanese. The food is terrible: hard chewy meat (even lamb), sour and watery lemonades, old rice and peas, and small portions. The price you pay is high as well, so very bad value for money. Just disappointing. Avoid.

Comptoir Libanais claims to be an authentic Lebanese restaurant, but sadly, it didn’t meet expectations. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma with Rice, and was disappointed to find that the shawarma was simply cut pieces of grilled chicken, lacking the flavorful experience I was hoping for. For a place that markets itself as offering authentic Lebanese cuisine, this was a letdown. I had high hopes, but unfortunately, I won’t be returning.

I paid 20 pound literally for nothing. The portion was really small. I am definitely not someone who eats a lot. But the portion was too small here, so l needed to eat somewhere else again. It’s really not nice what they give to people. What a shame!

We wanted to eat here attracted by the menu. The waiter treated us terribly before we even sat down. He said we had offended him because we had asked him for a table for two, making the two sign with our hands. He shouted at us even though we apologized, saying that we didn't know that in his country making the sign of two was an offense. Nobody defended us. Everyone is crazy!

Very friendly staff. Food was overpriced and small amount. I ordered the signature… literally a small sausage with some weird cut potatoes. The food was microwaved for sure. The music is like a 9/11 soundtrack. No more.

Very lovingly furnished restaurant that invites you to linger away from the hustle and bustle. The friendly, fast service, absolutely delicious Lebanese dishes and prices that I consider reasonable at an international airport are positive aspects. It's also practical that you can order from your seat using your smartphone and pay straight away. I would bridge the waiting time here again at any time. Greetings from Germany!

While the staff was friendly and the ambiance pleasant, the food quality was disappointingly low and overpriced. This was the worst Lebanese meal I've ever experienced.

Had an absolutely delicious breakfast here before my flight, I enjoyed the lovely scrambled eggs with feta and it was perfect. The service was great, all the servers are super friendly and always smiling, and the decor is so cute and colourful! Wonderful place to sit down, relax and enjoy a really good meal before you take off.

I was just in this restaurant, I ordered lamb cofta, it was not tasty at all! The meat was dry and hard to chew, the rice had a lot of sauces and spices that didn’t taste like it. In general, this dish could have been cooked juicy and tasty, but it wasn’t! Never set foot there again!

Comptoir Libanais Restaurant - London Stansted Airport Meal: spiced ground lamb with houmous, pickled cucumber, onion and tomato. The meal was beautifully seasoned, and the hummus on the side was a delightful touch. However, the lamb lacked moisture and didn’t taste as freshly prepared as expected. The friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere, paired with great service, made the experience enjoyable overall.

Falafel was offered to try in front of the restaurant. Tasty, so pure. Fast and friendly service. A colorfully decorated room creates a cozy atmosphere. You forget that you are at the airport. We had English breakfast xl and falafel with tahini sauce. Everything was delicious and served quickly. However, the breakfast was not enough for xl. The cappuccino was very tasty

Warm and lovely decor, delicious food (I had the house salad and orange cake), fast ande friendly staff. Only civilised place to eat at the airport. I hope they'll open in many more other places!

I thought I was safe with the houmous - unfortunately the worst I’ve ever tried - I’ve had better houmous from Sainsbury’s! And they charge £9 and give 1 piece of flatbread with it (that also looks like it was microwaved from Sainsbury’s).

If you are waiting for your flight and want to relax in a beautiful environment with smiling friendly staff, beautiful surroundings, delicious food. I recommend visiting this restaurant. Ps: with prices corresponding to the quality and, I believe, cheaper than in other airport "restaurants" / fastfood/

The best food you can find in the airport ! Everything was delicious!! Even the desserts!!

Wow! We were told by the host that we would love it when we arrived and she was right! What a delicious menu. We ordered the mezze platter for two and some figs with halloumi as a starter then I had the Feta and Spinach borek. For drinks we had a mixture of cocktails, mint tea and Lebanese hot chocolate. Everything was tasty and a little bit different. And of course we got to wear Fez hats!

Peaceful atmosphere, delicious food and prompt service. Great service by Łukasz. I treatly recommend this restaurant!

Was a perfect Oasis from a very, very Stanstead Airport! The quieter atmosphere with background music was just what we needed on our layover. Staff were prompt, friendly and efficient, food arrived quickly (within 5 minutes).

If you can’t cook a burger properly you really should shut up shop and go home. Over cooked bland burger. Poor tiny portions. High prices. Nobody asked ask if the food was okay. Nobody said please or thank you. Manners cost nothing! All round failures. But hey. It’s a captive audience at the airport! You have been warned. AVOID!

Very nice. A more calm atmosphere than the rest of the airport, unique style and you got the food fast. Have good vegan/fasting options and the staff was nice and asked if you have food allergies!

I don't recommend this place at all.

With an early morning flight and a full lounge we were having no luck finding a seat so went into the restaurant for teas and coffees. The staff were very smiley and happy, the restaurant not too busy and service was prompt. Really recommend even just for a cup of tea.

A great space to sit and have a quiet meal away from the airport crowds, it is beautiful inside and decor really good. We had a couple of breakfasts, the avocado was really very good, the cooked breakfast underwhelming & very small. The coffee machine had broken which was unfortunate & our waiter appeared tired and very disengaged! atmosphere great for a quiet spot, service quick but unwelcoming, food a bit hit and miss.

Very cosy and well decorated restaurant, right before you turn into the various gates for boarding. Our first try at Lebanese food and thought it was pretty good! The staff were super friendly and made lots of tables smile, recommended good food and desserts options and we enjoyed our short stint there 👍🏻 Food was good too, the stew was of the right balance for us with a decent portion of ingredients in them, and the toufaha was good 🧃 Definitely will return to try more Lebanese food in future!

First and foremost; amazing staff. We were served by a lady who must be employee of the month every single month. The food let her down - the ‘garlic’ bread was stale or just very dry and had hardly any garlic.

If you're looking for a Lebanese restaurant with stunning decor and a welcoming atmosphere, this place is a great choice. The ambiance is beautifully designed, offering a relaxing and pleasant environment for dining. However, my experience with the breakfast menu was underwhelming. While the service was friendly and polite, the food itself fell short of expectations. The portions were surprisingly small, and the flavours were quite bland, lacking the rich and vibrant tastes you’d expect from Lebanese cuisine. In short, the restaurant excels in atmosphere and service, but the breakfast options leave much to be desired in terms of flavours and portion size.

Very friendly and quick service once seated. The food was very tasty (not just for airport standards) and prices reasonable. £8.95 for a shakshuka. I don't think I can find that anywhere in London/Cambridge Update £14.45 for a shakshuka with egg and beef sausages as of September 2024. Still very good value. Still so tasty, and my go to at Stansted airport

Everything was very nice, the atmosphere very moody, I felt like in a museum, so many details with decor, just loved it. Drinks were served quickly, and they were very tasty and strong. The waiter was very professional and friendly. Prices are on the higher side, but still, I would definitely recommend this place even if you never had Lebanese food before.

Good experience and delicious food. We tried a few dishes and all of them were quite nice and flavorful. The service was really good too. Tried passion fruit martini, was kind of okay ☺️

Small plate for what you pay for. For being an apparent Lebanese restaurant no fresh juices and the one served are served with a lot of not asked ice which reduce the amount of the drink. Friendly staff.

Amazing food, service decor and atmosphere. Staff were perfectly attentive, just the right balance to make sure we were all good and had all we wanted. Great choice of a place to eat at Stansted to start a holiday. It seemed less "jam packed" than other restaurants, which was nice and the reason my husband convinced me to have a meal here. He loves the food, but I was a bit unsure. The food was amazing and glad I agreed.

All good except of service. There was a weird waiter who looked like on drugs. Kept staring at people and was rude when taking payment.

Noticed walking in they've changed their menu... great, love a bit of culinary creativeness! Only it turns out this is a purely financial change, they've now removed chips from all their meals and instead it's £6 as a side. So a lamb kofta burger and fries is now £27 including tip, £35 with a drink. It's definitely not worth that money, go to burger king next door and get 3 meals for the same price. Food used to be good, I assume it still is. Corporate greed fueling inflation again.

If you have time, a much better option than other fast food or sandwiches. Decent food, pretty decor, lovely staff, a socket to charge my phone. Honestly if I have to spend time in Stansted again I will choose this restaurant. I won't give it 5 stars because it's a bit too expensive for what it is but so are all restaurants at the airport.

Popped in here today (Aug '23) before getting a flight. Despite the fact the airport was really busy you can't hear much of the noise when inside, I think the way these units have been designed help minimise the ambient noise. The inside is nicely decorated and the waiter serving us was very nice and helpful. Kids & wife had a halloumi wrap and I went for the mixed grill. Mixed grill was excellent value at £16 with some decent sized kofta portions and chicken taouk, all seasoned really well. Finished off with the baklava (3 pieces for £5.95 which is a bit overpriced) and the milk pudding which was fantastic. If looking for somewhere to eat in Stansted would definitely recommend. Update August '24: back here again as its becoming the go to place whenever we are in Stansted. Still a good place to go with good food and service. Only slight moan is the have taken the milk pudding off the menu which I was very disappointed about. Has been replaced with a chocolate ganache/ mousse thing (pictured), which was ok but not a patch on the milk pudding.

Don’t get fooled by the “kids eat free” scam like we did. When we enquired about the “kids eat free” offer - as advertised around Stansted airport - not only did the waitress NOT tell us we needed a voucher to trigger our free kids breakfasts she told us we just needed to spend £20 to trigger them. So we ordered an adult breakfast and some coffees and drinks, coming to more than the £20 we thought was required. It was only when we went to pay that we were told we needed a voucher to qualify for the free kids breakfast. And then, it turned out that even the voucher wasn’t enough … So because we had time before our flight, my partner went off to get a voucher from customer services. It was only then that we found out that we actually had to spend £20 - each - on FOOD ONLY, to qualify for free kids breakfasts. Drinks didn’t count. So it was a pointless exercise, cost us double what we expected to pay and eventually made us tight getting to our gate and caused unnecessary stress. This is a clear scam by both the airport and the restaurant to get unsuspecting families to sit down and order on the pretence that kids will eat free. When they get hit with the real story at time of paying I’m sure 9 times out of 10 people will just pay full price or they will risk missing their flight going off to get a voucher, etc. Except they’ve been scammed of course. If the waitress had been clear and transparent when we enquired about the “kids eat free” offer we would’ve still eaten there because the food was actually quite good. Because she wasn’t, we never will again. As I said … rip-off Britain at its finest.

It’s just a shame. Service is nice they did a good job but what is wrong with those prices ? £4 for a tea?? Breakfast for £15 which should be called kids meal.. The whole idea of this place is just not fair towards people

so rare to find a restaurant in a city which serves beef/chicken/turkey alternatives to pork, let alone a restaurant in a airport, got myself the big breakfast with 2 turkey rashers 2 beef sausages couldn’t be more happier, writing this review as I’m finishing my meal I couldn’t even wait! Staff are very professional & very welcoming, thankyou!!
