In attesa del volo, in notevole ritardo, decidiamo di pranzare presso questo ristorante nell’aeroporto di Gatwick. Prezzi competitivi visto la media in Inghilterra e soprattutto in aereoporto. Simpatiche le proposte con le wraps che viene presentato come piatto completo essendo anche di insalata e oummus di accompagnamento.

Another franchise that's lost its way. Lazy cooking, or more accurately - lazy reheating. The chips were cooked hours ago, and are now hard as nails and stale. The lamb burger just the same, widely overcooked. And the burger bun is the worst I have seen for a long time, a bland sugary affair I wish I hadn't eaten it lump. The whole.thing covered in excess harrissa that will take several hours to stop burning me. Unpleasant. Service is prompt and friendly though, and there was a fresh lettuce leaf and tomato on my burger.

Not a particularly inspiring visit. It wasn’t busy, yet made to feel rushed. Seemingly endless options of bread types and accompaniments, then not delivered. Tea served in glass cups which to be honest didn’t look appealing. Airport grub I guess, not for me. Average indeed.

An excellent breakfast breaking away from the traditional English/Continental offerings. Coffee that actually tasted of coffee and excellent and friendly service rounded off the experience.

I make sure I arrive early for flights in order to eat here. It is really good in every way. Great service, food and value. Also restful. No hesitation in giving five stars.

Eaten here twice now and both time have been excellent. The staff are very friendly and informative and the service is good. It makes a change to have something a bit different on offer. The only downside is their location which is up some stairs near to Wetherspoon's. There are lifts available but you have to walk through another restaurant to get to this one.

No se puede pedir mucho de cualquier restaurant que esté dentro de un aereopuerto, pero en éste restaurant; el area estaba limpia, los platillos fueron buenos, el servicio fué rápido y muy amable y la relación calidad- precio bastante aceptable. Comer aquí fué la mejor opción que pudimos haber hecho.

We were so pleased to find Comptoir Libanais at Gatwick. Our first visit but it honestly felt like we had transported somewhere else and weren't in an airport at all! We went for the veggie breakfast. Delicious and looked beautiful. Very helpful staff too.

Service was quick, even though waitress said food would take 15 minutes. We both ordered chicken wrap with salad and it was very tasty. For me though, my hot chocolate was the best and delicious.

Went here for breakfast and was served cold food. I refused to eat it and the manager then accused me off not trying the food to see if was hot. I was not happy and informed him it was cold and that I would not be eating it. Avoid this place.

Went with my husband, on a lunchtime, we were staying at the hilton hotel, for one night, as we were flying to barbados next day and we're booked in for dinner, at the hilton, so we decided to have a light lunch, at this restaurant, and weren't disappointed, a great find, had a bottle of wine and 2 small plates, everything was hot, tasty and delicious, will definetly return, next time

Stopped here for a quick breakfast before catching our flight. Lovely staff - really attentive even though they were very busy. Food was fab.

We visited this morning to fill out stomachs before a long haul flight and we were more than delighted with our experience. The food was full of flavour, very reasonably price and the staff were more than helpful. I'd like to thank all the staff for a great experience but give a special thanks to a staff memeber named Manuel. I mistakenly place something of great value to me on my plate when paying the bill (morning brain) and it was then thrown in the bin. He literally went through the bins to search for it and it was successfully recovered! 5* to him and 5* to comptoir as a whole.

I fly through Gatwick at least once a month, and I've tried all the restaurants in both terminals. Now that Armadillo has been replaced with the subpar Sonoma, Comptoir Libonais gets the title as best restaurant. The service is friendly and fast. The restaurant is cute and bright. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack or drink options are tasty and fresh. I even bought a tube of their harissa hot sauce for £1.45! I'm a vegetarian, but my meat eating friends love the lamb dishes. Get a mezze platter to share and the Iced Fresh Ride Mint Tea.

Pleasant food. Swift Service. Bit pricey, but what else would you expect from an airport restaurant.

This Lebanese Restaurant has a massive long queue when we arrived (as every other one had) but beer havingtried Leaese food, we decided to wait. Good queue management saw diners being selected according to party size and table availability so we were seated pretty quickly. Staff arrived promptly to take our drinks order and when returning with the drinks, asked if we were ready to select our food - warning us it would be 15 minutes due to being busy.

The choice of restaurants in North Terminal is limited. There are usually queues and everyone wants quick service so that they don't miss their flight. It's a recipe for disappointment.

We wanted a place to have snack and also able to have a coffee in a real cup not disposable one as is so often the case now so chose Comptoir. Friendly staff seated us and we ordered our meal, we shared a lamb kibbeh which as okay and had my flat white which was very good. The orange almond cake delicious. The only negative was how many tables packed in to the space but overall we enjoyed the snack.

We had a chicken wrap and scrambled egg on sour dough toast. Quick service with a smile. Would recommend for breakfast

We always start our holiday with breakfast at the airport and gotta say, Gatwick is very limited in choices and we were feeling a deflated. When we spotted Comptoir Libanais our spirits lifted, we've eaten at the Birmingham branch several times and always really enjoyed it ....... this was no exception. We were served by Cristina who was friendly and helpful and as always, the food was delicious.

After a busy day I wanted to sit down have a pot of tea. I was informed no go to Starbucks!!! Or you will wait a long time it lunchtime. It was 15:15 lots of empty tables. Terrible service.

Had a lovely Meze platter and Lamb & Prune Tagine. Food was excellent and the service provided by Aythami was first class. Highly recommended and great staff.

I had breakfast here. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was dreadful. The lamb sausages were over cooked, the fried eggs undercooked, the sourdough toast under toasted and soggy, the Americano coffee, thin and bitter. Everything was luke warm, coffee included. I’ll not be back

Use this small restaurant at Gatwick North fairly regularly. Good selection of quality food from breakfast to dinner. Salad dishes are fresh and crisp, kebabs cooked to order and served with fluffy rice.

You never know what standard of food and service you get in an airport restaurant, so visiting here was ‘the unknown ‘. Obvious a Lebanese restaurant, not that I know much about Lebanese food, so looking through the menu was a pleasant surprise, lots of varied choices at not ridiculous prices. The quality of the food really impressed and in nicely decorated surroundings. The only downside was the speed of service and the time before the food comes out, in an airport you really do need to be sure you can be in and out in an hour for just a main course and a drink. Enjoyed the visit though.

We love Middle Eastern food & thought we’d stop here on our way to Morocco. We made our choices , Kofta wrap & mixed grill, then the blank faced waitress glumly announced, “We have no rice!” We remonstrated at this silliness, “You surely jest, a Lebanese restaurant without rice, is like a chip shop without chips!”

Stopped here for afternoon tea and enjoyed the range of products and different atmosphere. Lots of interesting nibbles and full sale meals

Just had late lunch and what can I say... Wow!! I've eaten here around twelve times and their food is always incredibly tasty. And their desserts, love them!!! You have to try them all Enjoy!

Wanted a meal before we caught the plane and chose this restaurant by chance. Very friendly greeting by all staff and seated quickly. Not a complicated menu but still provided a wide choice. Ordered and it arrived in under 15 minutes. Huge and I do mean huge portions making this good value as well.

A pleasant if rather cramped restaurant with a Lebanese flavour. Sadly there was very little gluten free on offer but we like the friendly relaxed atmosphere here. The coffee and croissants are good and there is much imported produce available on sale here.

We went to Comptoir Libanais for breakfast while waiting for our flight. The coffee and the food was good. Service was friendly and prompt. A little pricey but similar to other airport restaurants.

Only had time for a coffee and Baklava and such lovely service and nice quiet place to sit and RELAX compared to everywhere else which is awfully busy. Well done to the friendly staff.

This is not your ordinary airport cafe. It has a surprisingly pleasant atmosphere and you feel as if you have arrived at your destination and are already on holiday. The food is excellent. Breakfasts and wraps with a Lebanese twist. The service is efficient and friendly. Why haven’t I found this establishment before?

Popped in here for a quick bite last night whilst at Gatwick North Terminal. Located just above Wetherspoons on airside. Had the grilled haloumi salad - absolutely scrummy! Beautifully presented and incredibly tasty. My waitress was really lovely and friendly and the place itself was spotless - would not hesitate to return!

Comptoir Libanais' position away from the throngs of weary travellers make it the perfect place for a quiet coffee or bite to eat before a flight. We had the pleasure of being served by Graciete, who was extremely friendly and attentive, despite it being 5am on a Wednesday.

If you are in a hurry I would recommend here. The queues are small the service quick and the food is ok. Not bad prices for the airport either. It has a quirky menu.

We all know about food, this time I would like to highlight the service!! Lady who served us was simply outstanding - very polite and positive, she set us really well for a good day ahead!!! Thank you!!

In Terminal North Gatwick airport have very good restaurant Libainais. I was visited two days ago and was amazing. I enjoy chicken tagine and very tasty. The fresh juices. I came back soon, Thanks for professional service.

After an intense week of travelling and around 5 flights, we sat down here for a break before boarding our next flight. A really lovely girl served us (wish I could remember her name as she was the best bit and super-friendly/smiley) and got the experience off to what seemed to be a good start.

A valid and healthy option at Gatwick airport, and not only as Comptoir Libanais is a restaurants' chain. Good quality food with very fresh vegetables, I had a Falafel salad which I accompanied with delicious rose mint tea.

Spoons heaving so came here. Healthy choices. Lovely juices. Omelette surprisingly filling but £2.50 for 3 slices of avocado is a bit much!

Pretty decent looking surroundings and we headed here as wasn’t a queue to get in like the Red Lion Wetherspoons which was rammed and looked chaiotic at best.

Good falafel, good and tasty koftas (tagin at almost eleven pounds , and wrap, under nine ) but highly priced beer , almost four pounds a go. Other than that, a quick and decent enough lunch.

We had breakfast at 5 20 am and had an excellent Portuguese waitress who is worth her weight in gold. She greeted us with a smile and a swift service:). Food was mediocre and overpriced

This is my first ever review on Tripadvisor and extremely disappointed to write it! Not sure what food others had - but the full English breakfast was bland and overpriced. The waitress who was a blond lady was the rudest I have ever seen. She took a very long time to bring the bill, and my friend had to ask her why the bill was not split evenly, don't know why that was done. Certainly racist and horrible service. Definitely not worth what you pay for - go to the Red Lion Wetherspoons downstairs!

If we have a morning flight we always stop a bit earlier at the airport and go somewhere for breakfast. We decided to try something a little different on this occasion and go to Comptoir Libanais for a traditional Lebanese breakfast.

We always stop at Comptoir Libanaise when we fly from Gatwick. The food is always fantastic, but the service has always been slow even when is not busy. This time was really slow... Not even 8 tables busy, and took them more than 10min to come and take the order. When we tried to pay, we called one of the waiters, he waltzed pass and went to chat up and flirt with another waitress, 5 min later managed to grab someone's attention.

Fantastic place with super fast customer service. The restaurant was really busy due to many delays but we have received professional service and the food was delicious. I can recommend that place and I will definitely come back there - hope to try food from the lunch menu! Elizabeth

We had breakfast here and it was very good. Restaurant is in a quiet corner so you feel less hurried. Food was very tasty and good value, the waitress was very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

Great food but with a terrible customer service from the so-called manager that was at the tables front - a shorty rude man with no sense of anything about how to speak with clients, and shouting all time with his employees. I wouldn’t seat in those tables even if the food was free and had a take away instead. That’s why perhaps all airport restaurants were busy and this one , with the best food, was close to empty.

Nice atmosphere and amazingly tasty and filling Mediterranean food. Can be very full but still delivers food in 10 to 15 minutes at the fullest of times. Definitely recommend the falafel wrap with houmous.

This is a lovely place to relax in the bustle of a busy airport. It is in a corner of the upper concourse so there is not a lot of foot traffic passing by. The food is delicious and the coffee is excellent.

A delayed flight to Las Vegas and we ended up here in this small restaurant in the north terminal. Staff friendly and food and service both quick and tasty.

I have never got a chance to taste the Lebanese cuisine in my life as far as I remember...LOL The menu is quite special as you can see a smiling and good looking lady is on the front cover. I wonder if she is the owner or a spokeswoman of the restaurant...

Great food and service, a great alternative to the usual run of the mill at the airport. If this was near my home I would eat here.

I loved the ambience ✌️ so lively & colorful plus the music . The food are not too bad actually. Each time we travel we end up havung our meals at their restaurants either at Heathrow or Gatwick. My fav drink is their rose tea. Price wise is reasonable. The staffs are friendly.

My friend and I wanted a quick meal before going on an Easyjet pm flight. Fancying a change from the usual fodder we picked this one which sounded interesting. Well we were in for a treat! My friend had the Aubergine Tagine and I had the Lamb Kofta Tagine (both with cous cous). They were delicious! I chose a non- alcoholic cocktail - the Virgin Sirine which contained Pickled chilli, harissa and sumac in spiced tomato juice. I am not a great one for chilli but this was fine even for me! My friend had tea in a fancy tea pot. Service was a bit hit and miss but they were busy and we got an apology, and we didn't miss our flight... Would certainly hunt this chain out again.

I always call in here if I’m flying from North Terminal - I like the colourful decor and the Lebanese music and, being sited in a corner, it avoids the bustle of the airport.

Stopped here for a hand good snack while walking around London. Had two wraps take away that were incredible. Cheesy, great pickles, sauces and spices. Everything in the counter looked amazing and wanted to eat it all. Will definitely detour via this place next time.

Accogliente e non troppo affollato ristorante all'interno del Terminal Nord dell'aeroporto di Londra Gatwick. Mi hanno servito un'ottima tajine di agnello con piselli e carote guarnita con cus cus: in piatto appetitoso e leggero in confronto a quel che si mangia negli attigui ristoranti fast food. Servizio rapido, conto modesto.

We had lunch during our stopover at this restauraunt. It is in a quieter corner of the airport and really nicely decorated. The staff is polite and very fast. We had a shared mezze platter with a tasty baba ganoish and delicious frozen yogurt for desert.

This was our second visit first visit was ok , food acceptable and we were constantly chasing staff up but ironically as was busy they were fairly switched on

Was in north terminal Gatwick and wanted a breakfast before flying went to Comptoir Libanais paid £7.95 for lamb sausage egg Mexican beans and fried potatoes wasn’t great. No reason to mess with the great full English never works would not recommend this place

Ambiente carino e colorato, poco affollato nonostante fosse l’ora di pranzo, mangiato discretamente (piatto unico con tanti assaggi diversi, alcuni graditi altri meno ma non è colpa loro) ma la cameriera che mi ha servita è stata davvero tanto, troppo assillante.

Tried for breakfast. The decor is tired and the staff dozy. They made a mistake on the breakfast and it had to be sent back. Only engaged in meaningful conversation when my hand was poised over the tip button on the credit card machine! The pancakes are poor and clearly bought in rather than made on the spot. Overall a disappointing breakfast and I will not return.

This is a great place to eat tasty and healthy food, and the staff are great. My son left his jacket in the restaurant and the Manager, Luca, went to great lengths to reunite my son with his jacket- Thanks!

Nice place considering it is in an airport. Personnel is extremely kind. Food is really good especially if your are vegetarian. Pretty fast so you can eat even if you have to catch a plane. Overall recommended if you like middle eastern cuisine and if you enjoy vegetarian.

Fresh taste, lovely ambiance, a little disoriented staff, relaxing atmosphere. All and all a good experience. I tried Mezze platter which was a great combination of many different dishes laid out in a good balance. I would really recommend this platter to people who want to try mid eastern flavors.

It's been a couple of years since my last visit but I called in for lunch before my afternoon flight.

Are so pleased that I chose this place at Gatwick Airport after seeing people downing pints early in the morning and having greasy breakfasts.

The staff were very inattentive and quite abrupt in their manner, they were clearly understaffed and the cutlery was filthy, had to was them myself.

Amazing food served quickly which is a welcome from the other restaurants at Gatwick. Breakfast or lunch definitely recommend it. Friendly staff too!

In a relatively quiet corner of the North Terminal, Gatwick Airport (airside) sits this little gem.The lamb kofta wrap of spiced minced lamb, hommos, pickled cucumber & tomato was freshly prepared and delicious. The leymona was also very quenching.This was such a pleasant find after the same old monster burger eateries of airports. I would definitely choose this again.

Love this quiet spot in the corner of the north terminal. Food is good, service is friendly and efficient. Good choice and reasonably priced. Can't fault it.

It's a chain, but a good one and in a nice quieter corner of Gatwick so isn't quite as hectic. Food was good and reasonable with a good and slightly different breakfast menu before 11am. Staff were really friendly and helpful, more so than most restaurants.

Had breakfast here before a holiday flight and was really impressed....great choice on offer and the porridge was great Service could have been a little faster but it is an airport diner and so not surprising it was a bit slow .All in all though I would go back as it is a different menu to most full English type establishments My advice is give it a go....

On a mangé au Comptoir à south Kensington il y a 3 jours et c'était délicieux! Alors on s'est dit, un petit dernier avant de partir... mais quelle deception! Rien de frais, tout très très moyen... et rien à voir avec l'autre, jusqu'aux boissons qui étaient excellente à south Kensington et ici avaient un goût de produit vaisselle et ne présentaient même pas pareil! Il y a l'embarras du choix en resto à gatwick alors si vous aimez la nourriture libanaise, passez votre chemin!

I was at Gatwick at dinner time, and had an hour to try to find something to eat before catching my flight. I'm a coeliac and have to eat gluten free, and there are very few options available to us. I'd exhausted all other restaurant options and thought this place looked interesting, but it turned out to be a mistake. There are really only two gluten free options on the menu - (1) a salad with Halloumi cheese (rubbery and tasteless) and loads and loads of olives, and (2) potato chunks fried in chilli and garlic. The potatoes were the best bit, and that's what I ended up with for dinner. The Lamb Kofta looked good, and it said you could have it with rice instead of couscous, but it still wasn't gluten free.On a more positive note, the service was prompt and efficient. If you're "normal" you'll probably find something good to eat. If you're part of the 1% of the population with coeliac disease, do yourself a favour and don't bother.

I don't understand the reviews mentioning poor service. I was seated instantly, order taken and served in minutes. And the place was very busy. Authentic and fresh food served with a smile, absolutely the best dining experience at a busy airport, and there are many to choose from. Great vegetarian options too. Would give them six stars if possible.

Totally lousy table service, staff chatting with each other. falafel salad with no dressing at all. Lamb with couscous also very dry hardly any yogurt on.

The service is extremely slow, we waited a long time before ordering and it was not busy. They did not have maple syrup for the pancakes or they didn't understand what it was. However the tea with the mint was very great.

First time flying from Gatwick North Terminal. This place caught our eye as we came out of security. We were looking for a light pre-flight meal and this fitted the bill perfectly. We shared a meze platter and a wrap platter washed down with a glass of Lebanese red. The food was very fresh and felt really healthy.We liked the quirkiness of the place and the fact that it was at the end of the run of restaurants and felt more peaceful than somewhere with crowds of people rushing past, a little haven away from the madness. We were impressed with the service. Our waitress was really friendly and personable, and made our visit feel more like a local restaurant than an airport eatery. In summary this is a good place to eat before a flight and much better than a lot of what's on offer here.

We stopped for breakfast here at Gatwick. Firstly, when we asked for the bill after ordering (a service clearly offered on the menu), our waitress said it was not possible in case there were items not available - we ordered vegetarian breakfast. We asked for coffee and tap water - she failed to bring the tap water. We then waited at least 20 minutes for our food bought to us by another waiter. Our original waitress, while cleaning an adjacent table, spilt food onto the floor right where we were sitting. She apologised but then failed to clean up the mess. When we asked our original waitress for the bill, she nodded, then went off to the counter, started chatting, then served another customer, then took a separate customer's payment. We started to put on our coats as she clearly had better things to do. As we were about to leave she took our payment, then looking into space, asked us if we had enjoyed our meal. We visit this restaurant every time we come to Gatwick as the food and service are usually excellent, so were very disappointed on this occasion. The food was very good once it eventually arrived.

We have had many a breakfasts at Gatwick airport and all quite boring with the same food offer. This small restaurant offers a different offer that is quite refreashing with good choice of qautiy food and great coffee. The service is warm and friendly and the restaurant has a pleasant decor. A return trip is planned.

I came here before catching an imminent flight to Douglas in the Isle of Man. I was in a rush and so needed a quick turnaround – they met my needs with aplomb.The place is centrally located above the main concourse and is bright and airy inside, with a rustic middle eastern feel to it. It all leads to a decent atmosphere.I had their Comptoir Breakfast - a fried egg, lamb sausage, grilled tomato, cubed potatoes and fool moudamas beans. It was extremely good (especially the beans) and had fair portion sizes. I washed it down with some tea and also orange juice.The staff are quick and friendly and it’s fairly good value too. So overall I would recommend this place; if you want a traditional English Breakfast, with a dash of the middle east, then this will fit your bill.

Of course there's the usual food court places to eat, but Comptoir Libanaise is different, most dishes we Haverlock heard of or seen before, the waitress being keen to explain and educate, the front of house saying the food would not take long, but we had time to spare and relax.Many of the items can be taken away, a surprise for fellow passengers, but we opted for 3 courses washed down with a Lebanese beer, the wraps were delicious, not the compressed rolls but large hand rolled fully filled delights.Go for something different, you will not wait long, there're used to travellers being in a hurry, we had time so we were not rushed, there's a great choice, we would definatly visit next time.
