This place is amazing - if you want a coffee and a cake, a lunch, a Sunday roast, it's a warm and tasty experience. The owners are lovely and the food is delicious. It's well worth working up an appetite with a walk or a bike ride to make sure you can do justice to the food when you arrive.

Have just hired the fabulous 'Company B' to do the catering for my birthday and I couldn't praise them enough, they're amazing. I wanted a selection of savory pies, accompanied by mushy peas, delivered hot to the party location at 8pm for 36 adult guests. I also only called 'Company B' five days before the event, to place the order. At the time of placing the order they could not have been more positive, helpful or friendly and because I was doing this on a budget, the various other options I was given, should the pie idea not work for me, were also really good, as was the quote provided. Come the actual day, the pies were just unbelievably good, and all my guests were asking where I got them from and they were delivered hot at 7:45pm....perfect. I would highly recommend Company B not only for Tea & Cake, but also for catering for a party / event. ... I'll also be calling in there in the near future to try their Sunday lunches.

we visited as a group of 7 cyclists. We were made to feel very welcome. For a small outfit, there was a great menu to choose from, including several specials, and a great range of home-made cakes. Very reasonably priced and really, really friendly service!

The first time I came here, I was welcomed like an old friend. Two years later I came back and exactly the same experience . Charlotte and her mum provide a welcoming hub for the local community and tourists alike. Their home cooked fayre is very reasonably priced and compares significantly favourably to the running fox close by. There is always a wide range of homemade cakes which are freshly made and generous slices . After all, if you’re having cake, you don’t want a wafer thin slice. This is definitely one of the nicest eateries I have ever visited.

Just popped in for some lunch. Made to feel very welcome, as was the dog. After a long walk chilli and jacket potato was much appreciated, and the fruit pie we have brought home with us looks delicious. Thanks, will be back for our take away Sunday lunch, in a few weeks.

Whilst visiting my son and family, we had two meals here. Saturday, I had a full breakfast. Delicious. Sunday, I had a lamb roast and then bought a chicken roll and piece of cake for the journey home. Fantastic food and very friendly company whilst in there. Definitely recommend.

We were passing through the village and decided to try Company B. The cafe is quite compact with a limited number of tables but please, don't let this put you off from going. Everything on the menu is home made and that really makes the diffrence. We both had a chicken stew and it was excellent. We found that because there are only a few tables it encourages you to chat to the other diners and this made the visit even more enjoyable. We both had a portion of apple and blackberry crumble with custard to take away (we ate it later and it was fantastic). There were some vert tasty looking cakes on show too, again, all home made. If you are visiting or passing through, pop in and enjoy the experience, we certainly did.

We were put on to this place by my wife's sister, who in her turn, we believe heard about it from a friend. A Sunday Roast to takeaway, was booked on the Friday just before we set off to Northumberland for a fortnight's holiday. We arrived about 15 minutes early, and were offered a seat and Coffee. Not instant, but the real thing! The meal was packed into foil punnets and they even packed our insulated box for us! Such a friendly, flexible and well organised business, and service with a smile and good conversation. Once we got back to our digs, the food was still piping hot, well prepared and extremely tasty. Very, very pleased and will return again soon! Highly recommended!

Super friendly and good value. We stopped for breakfast and everything was cooked to order, fresh and very generous portions. This is the kind of local business we want to support. The owner was so friendly and informative about the area. The cakes looked lovely and the penny sweets were popular! Blink and you miss it but worth looking up on Google maps, even if it is for a sweet treat whilst passing through to the sea-view venues.

Visited last Wednesday after walking from Craster - purchased a much needed pot of tea for 2 and cake . Pot of tea had more than the usual 2 tea bags - we like our tea strong so this was great for us. Scone was excellent - nice amount of clotted cream. There was a victoria sponge but with a mango filling - I had my initial doubts when purchasing but what a surprise - very tasty. All for £8.50 - excellent value, and when we are back in the area will be sure to visit again.
