Great food. We had Nigerian beef suya very tasty. Serviced with a smile. Great atmosphere party til 1am afro beats ama piano reggae bashment. This is a nice spot for after hours, and the food is amazing

Meat was awful one fat bit goat could hardly slice goat is ment to be tender, two different types of rice which was not fresh very bad not worth the also it was not the large portion I ordered 😔

Meet the lovely Gee this evening (my first time in the restaurant) Just Eat missed an item off our order. We love Comie's Caribbean Grill and have ordered from here many many times. My son loves their Mac & Cheese side portions which is always on the menu for us. Gee went out of her way to replace the missing portion and was a true credit to her work at Comie's Caribbean Grill. This place deserves no less than 5 stars across the board. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Always tasty delicious meals each and every time. We will continue to order from here for years to come. Thank you.

You can see for your self top quality. I Spoke to the lady prior to my call and she was very very friendly. The portions where huge. Massive chunks of meat that was extremely tender. The curry was so flavourful. I had delivered 2x lamb chops and 2xcurry goat. This was so so authentic and made with absolute love and passion and piping hot. If you looking for a home Cooked meal that ticks all the boxes try comies. The macaroni was so creamy and well baked and It was not greasy or chewy. Amazing

Following a tour of the mini factory, my son and I were hungry and found this place on google. Parking is a bit of a faff but really glad we made the effort. The food is amazing, we had some fried chicken, goat curry and lamb chops. Came with rice and peas, cabbage/veg and mac’n’cheese, great portions and we left satisfied and full of don’t know the ladies name but big smile greeted us and was looked after as one should be. Great place, some killer choonz at a decent volume , gear decor, super all round. As we left, my 14 year old growing boy said “that was just what I wanted, really tasty and I’m totally satisfied”, need I say more.

Every time I go in here it gets better and better then fried dumplings are cooked perfectly. I always have the brown stew chicken which is amazing. Last time I had the curried goat and it was so flavoursome ill definitely be having that again. Quite alot on the menu so enjoy and tuck in.

The food and staff were amazing here, I couldn’t recommend enough. We were a group of 8 and everyone’s food was delicious. I had brown stew chicken and it was so tender - meat fell off the bone. The staff were friendly and welcoming, despite us arriving a bit late after a long day of travel! Thank you so so much for the food and hospitality -we will be back again 🥰

Please most of the time the chicken tastes stale and I would appreciate it if this can be fixed on future orders.

Excellent service and good quality food

If you want your money robbed order from this place , ordered my food at 6.30 to the hospital 2 hours passed rang them to chase it up they answered the phone said they would chase the driver up and call me straight back… half an hour passed still no call back i called back over 5 times no response ignoring me…. then my boyfriend calls they answer and we can hear them screaming at each over in the shop god knows what about. Then after all the screaming they cut the call i’ve tried to call back over 5 times still no answer from them completely ignoring us i’ve paid for the food and still can’t get a response from everyone ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING we are in the hospital starving all of the shops shut absolutely joke !!!!!

Delicious (and generous) vegetable curry with tasty plantains on the side. All served with a smile. I think I’ve discovered a real gem and I will be back!

Vale la pena tomar un taxi desde el centro de Oxford solo para experimentar la increíble comida en este pequeño bar y restaurante de Carribean. Todo lo que probamos fue delicioso, desde el curry de cabra hasta las albóndigas. El servicio era de primera categoría también. Un viernes por la noche, el reggae se puso fuerte. Que eso añada o reste valor a la atmósfera es muy personal, pero ciertamente no nos desanimó.

Food was bland, jerk chicken was a chicken leg and rice. Draught beer not on so had to buy a bottle which was more expensive than a pint. And would nit giv3 ne a tax receipt. Avoid.

Ordered a large order two days in a row, specifically asked if they had what we wanted and they replied yes and on both days just substituted to another random dish?? One person in the group could have been in hospital had they eaten the substitute. When told this, they did exactly the same the next day!

Delightful experience., Friday nights are special club nights, food is great, international beers available and prices are fair.

SCAM Waited over 2 hours for a delivery that wasn’t even coming! DONT ORDER FROM HERE!

Ordered at 5.30pm, food wasn't delivered until gone 7.30pm. Despite delivery time stating between 35 to 50 mins. Really disappointing, this is the second time we've had this problem. Also, ran out of dumplings but still charged for them.

Ordered online on deliveroo. I called up to inform them of a gluten allergy as they add complimentary mac and cheese to the meal. Was informed this would all be OK. When the meal arrived it came with the mac and cheese. Therefore meaning I couldn't eat the meal. Normally quite like this place but clearly there's terrible allergy procedures which is unfortunate.

What an absolute treat to have this restaurant recommended to us by a friend . The authentic food is to die for , the staff very friendly and the laid back atmosphere makes the whole experience wonderful . We will be back !

My first girlfriend had parents from Barbados and Grenada. Her mum was an excellent cook, who made me fall in love with the flavours from the West Indies and Carribean. I have spent the last few decades searching for well cooked food to remind me of the time I spent with them. Yesterday, I decided to pop in to Comie's after passing it many times on my way in to Oxford. I ordered curry goat (my favourite), with a side of scotch bonnet hot sauce. It was by far the best curry goat Ive ever had. The flavour was full, yet subtly balanced. The goat was so tender, it melted in my mouth. I was instantly taken back to my younger years, which brought up many happy memories. I will most definitely be stopping by Comie's when Im in the neighbourhood. Next time I'll try the jerk chicken. Thank you for the wonderful food, and helping bring back wonderful memories. Im your new biggest fan.

Really delicious food in a lively atmosphere, I'd been craving Caribbean food after moving from a city with a big Caribbean community and was not disappointed with Comie's! Wonderful brown stew chicken, quick service (though it wasn't very busy in there when I went) and very friendly staff, I'll definitely be returning.

One of my favourite food establishments in Oxford. The food is delicious and the portion sizes are very generous. Good value for money a regular meal box is £10 and large is £12. There is a vegetable curry if you are vegetarian that is very delicious as well as multiple meat options.

Only recently found this gem of a place, and well where do I start? Bright surroundings,great music and super friendly welcome x as a food lover I was lost with what to order, everything looked lush and the smells from kitchen were insane 😍 goat curry....banging! What an experience! This was some of the best food I’ve had for a while!! I can’t wait to go back 😍 the fried chicken and the jerk chicken were both incredible, massive portions and the flavour was out of this world. We also ordered Plantain and dumplings but they were the first to go - everything was so delicious and steaming hot. Can’t wait to come back and try the curry!

Second time I’ve visited, great Jamaican food, we tried the curry goat and jerk chicken. A little more mac and cheese please !! Worth a visit, pain that parkings a bit annoying would be great to make it a bit more accessible as it deserves to be busier!

Tossed a coin between this place and other Caribbean restaurants.Good food. Chilled atmosphere on a quiet Thursday night at 8pm. No plantain, not a deal breaker though. Will go back again when I’m in town.

I came here with my friends and we all really enjoyed it. We ordered the Jerk Chicken Meal, Curry Goat Meal, and the Lamb Chops meal. The portion sizes were good, and everything was very tasty. The outside and inside of the restaurant are decorated nicely, the music was great, and our waitress was very helpful. I did have to try a couple of times to make a reservation as the phone line was busy. We parked in the retail park and walked to the restaurant. Overall, it's a great spot, I would definitely come back.

Perhaps the worst food service I have ever encountered. Ordered at 5:20, said delivery by 6:20. We get a call at 6:22 saying it will be ready in 2 minutes, rang them at 7:30 to enquiry and the lady on the phone was like “I don’t know how long it’ll be. I just started my shift. The driver has your food.” Avoid if you’re ordering at the weekend, or for more than one person. Gave them so many chances, but after so much poor service, I had to let others know.

Life is good after eating at this place - Such a sweet lady who served us and made our food! Every time I’m in Oxford I will make sure to eat here or at least pick up something to take back to London… This place shows the LEVELS 🙌🏽 Curry Goat, Dumplings, Jerk Chicken, Lamb Chops wow wow wow - can’t wait to try the Ackee and Saltfish next time and probs the Jollof too. The delivery s just rubbish.. they can not make it up after i ve waited 2 h for my food! 2 hours!!!!!! Is just insane! They person who took my order told me 30 -40 mins to be delivered .. poor very poor service! Its a shame!

I didn't notice any Caribbean menu. I had a breakfast bap + cuppa and it was excellent.

I find their delivery offer is a scam as no food has arrived nor have they answered their phone to give me an explanation for the delay. I place the order at 13:00 on the yo-yo app. They open at 14:00 on Sunday , so I received an email saying there would be a delay and that food would arrive at 15:15. It’s 15:40 now and there is no sign of the delivery. The payment has been made and there is no option to cancel and order food elsewhere. Please don’t order food for delivery from this place

Good lord, but the food here is good. Tiny, unassuming, and totally authentic. Every meal comes with a little slice of amazing mac and cheese - a head scratcher on the menu, but when you eat it it's like home. Everything on the menu feels like it's made with love. Will definitely be back, the food was incredible.

Ordered Goat Curry and Jerk chicken. All are feet tasty with generous portions. The goat curry slightly edged it for me

We went for dinner here one evening and it was fantastic, really lovely and attentive servers and delicious authentic food! The curry goat, jerk chicken and veggie curry were all great as were the dumplings!

Disgusting ! This is not authentic Caribbean food !! Oxtail was all hard with a terrible taste. Fried chicken was a 3/10! Plain nothing to it . Got the 3 for the chicken being cooked that’s it. Even the rice ! How can you possible go wrong with rice ? Overall I wouldn’t even give this place a 1 star. Believe me do not waste your time going ! You’ll have a better experience at kfc

Saturday afternoon, no background music, no atmosphere. Microwaved chicken, rice, mac and veg. Not worth a fiver let alone 15.

Only had a takeaway but the place is clearly a great place to be with a great atmosphere. The food we had, however, was not well flavoured. A flat, boring sort of taste. Didn't stand out. So unfortunate!

By far the best Jamaican restaurant I've been to, they were extremely friendly. The ackee and salt fish was to die for and portion size was a lot bigger than I expected it.

It was ok but I've had better from here before, the meat was a bit dry and there were signs everything had been microwaved in the polystyrene container.

Absolute disaster. Probably should’ve change my mind when I walked in to pick up my food and saw the state of that place. Dirty menus and tables even though it wasn’t busy. I took the food home and there were pieces of mac n cheese (which I didn’t order) in my rice. Food was dry and tasted so bad I couldn’t finish it. And after all that it gave me stomach problems. Stay away from this place.
