Very tasty, great quality & value food. I bought the Katsu Chicken Bini Bowl for my lunch yesterday, very pleasantly surprised, although I did find the volume of rice a little too much - that’s just me, though. The chicken was delicious, as was the cucumber & red cabbage with it. Thank you very much!

Salmon and vegetables are really fresh. Rice is laid underneath, cabbage is well seasoned. The price is reasonable for the quality. It was a very satisfying lunch.

A nice friendly atmosphere, fast service. You do need to pay for soy sauce which is a down side but the bowls are excellent and well worth it.

The food is so unique for St Andrews and some of the best. Takeout or sit in but it’s so healthy and delicious and staff are always lovely.

The food is delicious and worth paying a little extra for. Definitely a healthier option which is hard to find in St. Andrews. Seating is available but if it is a nice day there is a quad opposite with benches.

An excellent place to grab a quick lunch. Well-constructed, healthy meals come conveniently packaged in a little bowl, which makes for an easy but delicious lunch. It's not the cheapest place but I definitely think you get your money's worth. Have eaten from here more times than I can count and have never once encountered any serious issues with the food. The only thing I would say is that it can get very busy at lunch time and things can sell out fast, so be warned. Wish they still did the onigiri as these were perfect little snacks and were pretty cheap!

Loved it! Had two salads and both were great. Couldn’t fault them at all. Staff were nice and friendly. Would recommend.

This is a takeaway spot centrally located in St Andrews. VERY minimalist, easy to navigate and food was yummy and fresh! It would be great if they maybe did some sushi rolls without rice, that would be the only thing I was missing although that’s probably a tall order for Scotland. I also really enjoyed the salmon cabbage and cucumber bowl we had as well. It was well affordable, fish was fresh and lovely tasting and I would go back happily!

Quick and efficient food lovely

Lovely fresh Korean style food to take away. A healthier option to most takeaway options. Quick and friendly service. The only criticism is that my Okra-Tofu Bini box was a little dry. However I now see that I missed the 'sauce' options on the menu, I'm sure investing £1 on one of those would have made all the difference. My husband got the chicken katsu curry. I have to say I was very jealous as it was very tasty. Certainly worth trying if you're in St Andrews for the day and want a wholesome and filling fresh lunch. I would absolutely consider going back. Been back... Got the chicken bowl in the photograph as no more katsu curry left. It was really nice and I preferred it to the tofu okra bowl. It's clearly not as healthy an option though! Still preferable to a chippy or toasty if you're trying to be good.

Fast service, but the salmon teriyaki was underwhelming, it was impossible to taste the teriyaki, and the little salmon there was in the rolls wasn’t great. Wasabi not spicy.

Really enjoyed the Bini Katsu bowl! Well priced and staff are really nice. Would definitely recommend!

Great spot for takeaway, make you feel healthy when you eat it. Reasonably priced although portions could be a bit bigger!

The sushi here serves its purpose. It is a takeaway only but offers one outdoor table. If you have to have sushi, it is one of the better places in St. Andrews but lacks variety and the feeling of a proper sit down restaurant

Great, independent find in the middle of St Andrews. Had the duck gyoza and vegetable gyoza as an afternoon snack and both were exceptionally tasty.

Good Japanese Korean fusion. Remember to ask for chopsticks for takeaways.

The good: - The coffee - The interiors The bad: - The service was slow, even though there were only 2 customers in the place - The food was average.. I ordered toast and avocado, but the toast was soggy and the avocado unseasoned - Overpriced! £4:50 for one V small slice of toast and half an avocado.

Stopped by after getting coffee at Combinicafé for lunch. Been a few times, the food never disappoints!! Satisfies all my Asian food cravings

With the lack of Asian food choice in St Andrews, Combini is considered pretty authentic. It’s convenient and inexpensive so definitely a popular choice amongst students and somehow where I end up with friends for lunch most of the time. Food quality and presentation is consistently good too!

Shrimp roll was fantastic, love the fresh amazing food. Always delivers on the quality of both good and service. The lady behind the desk was super friendly, can't wait for the new cafe :)

The vegan bowls and veggie gyoza taste amazing, I would eat it every day if I could. The store is also very clean and minimalist, in a nice central location of town. Worth checking out!

I'm vegetarian and was pleasantly surprised by the sweet potato rice bowl I had. Very tasty and nice presentation too. Really hoping they expand their veggie range, I would go more often if there were more options.

I've been a few times and have enjoyed the food (gyoza and onigiris) but definitely on the pricier side. Everything is freshly made on the day.

You can tell that they're taking care in making things in the kitchen back there cause the food is great, but it smelled a little funky when I first walked in. Maybe a little fishy or like they were frying something?

I had been checking this restaurant on instagram and decided to make my way from Edinburgh to try it out. I was honestly amazed by how busy the store was with students, I must have seen over 100 poeple walk in and out. I wanted to try one of their famous 'Bini Bowls' but the fresh salmon was already sold out so I got the salmon avocado maki and a tofu Bini Bowl. Both were delcious. The sales staff member also offered me a free Barley Tea while I was sitting, which I thought was a fantastic service. I can't wait for something like this to come to Edinburgh.

Great take away lunch in Saint Andrews! The Salmon Bini Bowl is my personal favourite. On top of great food, the shop has a clean & minimalistic atmosphere. Definitely best lunch spot in town!

I used to be a student in St Andrews and Combini was my go-to place for a quick, healthy lunch. I wish they had something like this around Manchester campus too!!

Kinda suits the town. Food OK but by no means authentic. Over-priced and instagramable. Ludicrous marketing and brand strategy. Popular among (some) uni students.

I really enjoy the bowls but some days, it's just too heavy for a lunch time snack. They mentioned wanting to start a 'low carb' option instead of all the heavy rice but I wish they also had more salads.

I come here more often than I would care to admit, and the convenience of the shop and the food is what keeps me coming back. Not only the fish, but the chicken and vegan options are fresh and taste amazing.

A few small tables, otherwise take out. The selection varies from day to day. Very good asian food for the price. Sushi is good. Bowls are good. Hot food is good. Great place for lunch. UStA staff discount.

I was in on Sunday and came away with a lovely box of sushi. No nonsense, uncluttered layout and friendly staff.

This is a lovely, bright and clean place on South street. The food is excellent and I would highly recommend. The bini bowls are filling and they always have nice combinations. My reason for only giving 3/5 is the card system. It is irritating to only accept cards especially when they are apparently having problems with their machine. I had to wait for 10 minutes while they tried resetting etc... This is not that bad but if in a hurry is a bit of a problem.

What a breath of fresh air this wee take away is. I had no expectations and was therefore delighted with the quality and uniqueness of the place. The food is very fresh indeed. With customers often waiting for a new batch to come out. Extremely tasty variety of boxes of meat and rice and salad.

Very clean and modern atmosphere. Always fresh ingredients. It’s quite sad when in the evening there are less positions available, but it means that nothing stays in the fridge overnight

I love going to Combini during my lunch breaks. They serve good food at reasonable prices and the shop has a very clean atmosphere. The portions are completely sufficient for lunch. I can highly recommend chicken katsu!!

The bini bowl was terrible. It does not taste like anything close to what I tried in other asian takeaway restaurants, And you take Card only? this really annoyed me.

Continuing the tradition in Scotland of people who don’t know anything about Japanese food opening restaurants. Very average food and a stupid card only policy. Unfortunately because the standard for Japanese, and to a lesser extent Korean food, is so poor places like this seem to get by

Great spot to grab a tasty, healthy bini bowl whenever you are in a rush. I go there at least twice I week and I am never disappointed. They vary their menu very often and today I got a bini bowl for free thanks to a contest their organised. I recommend Combini to all my friends!

CombiniCo is the best take-away in St Andrews (in my opinion) Not only is the food healthy it has awesome taste. I try to go twice/week and notice that they keep changing the options slightly. They do not accept cash which, is a bit different today BUT is the future for the food/drinks business.

I frequent Combini to get my lunch on days when I don't have time to cook for myself, but that is by no means a step down from my usual. I usually get the wakame salad, which is my favourite - it is filling and the seaweed has a satisfying texture, with a refreshing taste. Recently I had a chance to try their pork gyoza, which was crunchy and flavourful. Their menu items make any Japanese or Korean person nostalgic, serving different kinds of gimbap, donburi, and makis. The food is quite true to form from my personal experience - for example, with regards to the rice balls, the seaweed is still crisp when you bite into them (soggy seaweed is a deal breaker and red flag for me). What takes me back to Japan in particular is the sodas (ramune) that they stock.

If you're in St Andrews and craving quality Asian food for a good price then go to CombiniCo. This place never disappoints and the service is great too!

Only stopped in to buy a drink but was drawn to the mouthwatering scent of the new pork gyoza. They were even more delicious than they smelled with a great crispy texture. Tastes just like home! Would definitely recommend checking it out!

I strongly recommend a visit at CombiniCo. A nice change from the usual Scottish cuisine. I hope you have the chance to meet the two founders in store too - they are lovely guys!

As the title says, i LOVE this place. Great sushi and the salmon box with the spicy sauce is heaven. Never had a bad lunch, cannot recommend this place enough.

Great value, decent portion sizes, and delicious recipes! Glad that I don't work to near by, or I would be tempted to get their sushi bowls for lunch every day... Doesn't have much seating, but it's so easy to cross the road and have an impromptu picnic in the quad. The fish is fresh, you can smell that they're frying in clean oil and making everything fresh every day, and the kitchen is easily seen from the till and immaculate.

Just had a lovely lunch where I tried maple sweet potato gimbap for the first time. Absolutely delicious! The salmon avocado maki rolls were lovely, though a couple of bit of avocado were slightly more brown than I’m a fan of. The fresh salmon bini bowl is fantastic, with such flavour throughout. I preferred this to the steam salmon bowl if had before. The fish was extremely fresh tasting. Really quite impressed, especially given the pricing. Will definitely go back.

I've tried the other sushi restaurant in St Andrews and was not impressed, so i was very interested when this place opened to compare. It didn't dissappoint! The rice was cooked perfectly and the salmon was so fresh. The best thing was it was less than £5 for 8 pieces. Totally worth it.

I visited Combini Co for a quick lunchtime meal and was blown away by the shear simplicity of the food but also by the abundance of taste, I had a chicken dish with rice it had a spicy mayonnaise sause topping and I also had 8 sushi rolls both were shear enjoyment and such a change to a typical sandwich or salad i would recommend a lunch hear just to spice up your life ! (Warning some people might find the spice a little to hot but I'm sure there are variations) I would like to thank CombiniCo for making my lunch utterly enjoyable.

CombiniCo is a brilliant idea! The staff is kind, the food reasonably priced, and the variety quite wide. The meal choices are also quite balanced and healthy, so it’s perfect for students! The only thing I would say is that the sushi rice and onigiri rice is a bit too compact and overcooked everytime I have been there, but otherwise great location, I highly recommend!

The food here is finely made. Addition of the modified Korean traditional sauce towards rice is quite delicious. Have a try!
