Colicci Roehampton Gate Café in Richmond upon Thames

A total piss take, bought 2 chai lattes at £4.15 each asked for them to be extra hot ,and the lady serving pulled a face like I had asked for the world , when I went outside to drink the chai latte , it was like a hot cup of watery milk no taste of chai ,a complete waste of £8.30 , will be giving this rip off place a miss from now on.

Sausage and Egg Muffin is perfect after a two laps run or even a cycle! 🚲

I stumbled across this place on a walk thinking I was going to get a coffee and a sandwich but, to my surprise, I ended up having the second best Shakshuka I have had so far in London (and the other place was a palestinian restaurant). Fair price too. Nice setting. Staff a little miserable looking. I'll make the effort to end up at this place again when out on a walk.

Lovely little cafe with seating inside and out. I went there on a weekday morning and it was pretty busy for the whole time I was there. I just had a cappuccino and massive almond croissant which I enjoyed. I didn't really look what else was available. Toilets are available a 30 seconds walk away at a porta cabin but these were clean. Dogs are allowed inside.

I had just completed a 2hr walk from the Petersham gate around to Roehampton. I came across this lovely little wooden cabin. The staff were pleasant and welcoming. The food was good, the price was fair and it was very clean. The toilets are outside across the carpark.

Shame for the good location. Ridiculously overpriced and unorganised.

Don't take cash but don't have WiFi and phone signal is patchy. Come on Colicci, nice little number you have here, do it properly please.

The food and drink were perfectly good but the employees not so much. We ordered hot chocolate with 34% milk chocolate however the staff made it with white - this may have been a silly mistake (which is completely okay!) however the staff decided to deny we ordered milk and then proceeds to state that he had in fact actually made milk after calling out the order for a white chocolate drink! Ofc this was odd, but thinking he was being truthful, we took the order and found that it was in fact white and not milk - we had to then ask for the correct order to be made. We do understand mistakes can be made but it would be nice if we didn’t have to go in circles and if the staff were a little more competent.

They are selling indian food with most awkward manner . I must say don't sell if you don't know , it's almost like funny .

Very pricey for lunch and snacks. But there's not much else nearby. Food itself is okay. Inside seating isn't the best

Had a bacon bap and bacon must be pre cooked! Hard to chew and very dry. Had almond slice which was very hard on base and pretty tasteless. Coffee ok. Nice server though. Will not eat here again.

Shame that the employees are so rude, because the location and food/drinks are really good. We got hot drinks around 17:30, went on the terrace, and I spilled by mistake the drink all over myself. When I tried to go back inside to get a napkin to clean myself, the employees told me it was closed (25min before their actual closing time) and that I could not get a napkin (I could literally see napkins from the door). Please change the employees to people that are not so ignorant of basic customer service

Overpriced, poor quality food and staff who were sullen and disinterested.

Coffee was a 4. Bacon roll was a 3, would have benefited from cooking it a bit longer. It was very busy and service was good.

Good place to stop and get a bite to eat while exploring Richmond Park

Love having a Oat milk drink here with my wife, definitely recommend great place to relax, also to mention Caitlyn is very friendly and she does her job well.

The tables and the floor need some cleaning🤧 there is good light inside it is warm to warm you up from the cold the service is a little fast and well that also depends on what you order I recommend a hot chocolate with real cream that is very delicious 😋

Good service from the (new?) Asian member of staff. However, the brunette girl on drinks just had a bad attitude, needs a word. £10 for Lukewarn flavourless hot chocolate and a bang average sausage roll calls for at least a little hospitality.

Stopped by for two drinks this morning, clearly marked at £2.70 each. Simple enough, you'd think. But imagine my surprise when I got charged £15. Maybe I accidentally ordered a side of bad math? Or perhaps there's a hidden 'daylight robbery' fee I wasn't aware of. I don't usually need a calculator for small purchases, but it seems that's a must here. Won't be rushing back anytime soon unless I feel like overpaying for simple math errors.

The girl serving me was so rude and depressed looking - I asked for a latte- she didn’t respond just put her hand out for money - I thought man crappy service, then went to other window to get coffee from another Barista lady, just as rude , no eye contact and just put the latte down - said zero— so I sit on a bench to drink coffee- flat and tepid warm- worst coffee—- I ended up only drinking a 3rd of it - then rode my bike to Nero’s ..

Busy on sunny days & weekends, good ice cream

Lovely cakes and ice creams. Nada was very caring and patient in serving us.

The best iced latte and iced matcha drink I have had !! The server was absolutely amazing and recommended so many nice things to try but the matcha was absolutely divine !! If you haven’t tried it yet, give it a try, definitely recommend it to everyone

Nice area car park confusing on getting a ticket or not it's free but it doesn't tell you you have to ask someone found a small snake

Disgusting attitude of the staff, shouting at customers that they will close in 2 minutes. close your door earlier then. Their laziness knows no limits. Wrong recruitments and rude behavior. When the work is given to international students, they complain. Do your job properly or pickup a dummy.

Arrived at the end of the hottest day and tried to order an iced latte but unfortunately all the ice had been used up. I walked away and sat on the park benches but a few mins later Milan motioned me over and kindly explained they’d discovered a couple last ice cubes and did I still want the latte? Really kind customer service.

5.80 for a sausage roll very overpriced, bring your own to expensive

Staff are not friendly, don't say Hello or Goodbye and they don't even tell you how much you have to pay. Very off putting for Visitors. Even though it wasn't busy and plenty of staff tables outside weren't cleared for hours.

Came all the way just so we could get ice cream etc and have a picnic. Arrived at 4.50pm and it was closed and lady inside had almost finished cleaning the entire place meaning it had been closed a while and despite it saying it closes at 6pm!

Delicious food with wonderful views of Richmond Park! Highly recommended!!

Cafe Colicci offered an outstanding experience from its friendly and attentive staff. The highlight of my visit was their flat whites, which were one of the best I've ever had. The coffee was perfectly brewed and beautifully presented. The balance of flavors was exceptional, making each sip delightful. Highly recommended for coffee lovers!

I visited today and my experience was incredibly disappointing due to the rude and unpleasant behavior of one of the waitresses. During our visit, two different family members were unnecessarily told that we were in the wrong place to order and needed to stand somewhere else. The first incident occurred inside the restaurant. A family member ordered after having been greeted by staff, but was then told she needed to go to the other end of the counter (1m away) and order there. There were no other customers around except for one person waiting to pay, so there was no obvious queue. Despite this, the waitress spoke in an abrupt and rude manner, insisting we were in the wrong spot. The second incident took place several hours later at the small kiosk outside. Again, a different family member was just looking at the ice cream when the same waitress rudely informed us that we were standing in the wrong place. Her behavior was so off-putting that we decided not to order anything at all. Overall, the waitress's behavior was uncalled for. A little courtesy and politeness go a long way, and unfortunately, this waitress completely missed the mark. We won't be returning to due to this unpleasant experience.

The coffee is very nice. Outside has tables or can do picnic nearby. The green area in front of the cafe and the car park is sooooooo big, can’t see the boundary of the park. Need to cycle inside the park, or drive, not really possible to reach the other end of the park from one end by foot.

Food was nice, but coffee is overpriced McD leftovers. Raven took my hash brown from the plate, be cautious 🥲

Like this place. Coffee and almond slice for a treat and a rest on cycle rides. Shared the last bits with the cheeky jackdaws. (But don't let them get too close, they'll pinch ya food out of ya hand!)

Coffee is sometimes OK, sometimes scalding hot and terrible. Given how busy they get on the weekends, quality is not the priority.

Not much choice in food, expensive for what you get. Fridge was empty not restocked, so couldn't pick up sandwiches forcing you to buy hot food.

With fresh ingredients it would be an amazing place. The bread seemed stale and much of the food tasted as if it was frozen for a while.

Very over priced and poor service. Staff more interested in petting customers dogs than serving them - no washing of hands after either made me regret ordering food.

Come here on a regular after Sunday bike rides, it coffee here is pretty decent just what you need after a hard workout. The food is also very fantastic offering a variety of pastries etc.

I like that there is a cafe near the park entrance.

If you like cappuccino, don’t come here. Unfortunately it tastes like a cup of frothy milk, not coffee and for almost £4 a cup now, a total waste of money. Not sure how they manage to consistently make bad coffee. Every now and again I try again in the hope that it has improved, but sadly not. Amazing other Colicci cafes in the park manage it so why not here?

A good place to grab a coffee under all weathers

The food is lush-a bit more expensive than a typical cafe,but worth it,and the atmosphere is good.It's generally got a better class of people compared to sitting amongst motor-mouth chavs in a greasy spoon.The staff,I think their names were Courtney and Libby, were lovely and polite-i'm not sure what the other chaps name is,but he was polite too.I've eaten in here a few times now,and I've never been disappointed in the quality of the food,it's worth every penny.I would highly recommend this cafe,despite what other reviews say.You can't please everyone!

Zoe and the gang were excellent. Food were a bit pricey however for the staff and the ambience it was worth it. Great stuff!

A busy cafe in the beautiful Richmond Park

Way understaffed. Two people working on sunny Sunday. 16 minutes to buy a bottle of water.

Everything is perfect, i have read previous comments about food, coffee and service. Everything was tasty and coffee is really good. Maybe they fix all of it. Atmosphere place for a little stop and relax

This is the best spot Ive found to work remotely that’s Uber dog friendly. Weekends are super busy but during the week it’s much quieter in week, so my pooch can snuggle while I work which is a great bonus 🙌. Have been a few times as new to the area and the manager is always so welcoming. Great staff and good food in beautiful surroundings 😊

What a great place. Enjoyed the buzz of this busy cafe, great coffee fabulous choice of cakes and then went off to see the deer, squirrels and parakeets.

Too noisy for me but otherwise, good.

Possibly the worst smash burger I have ever eaten. It was dead. No flavour whatsoever. And the patty was embarrassingly small for £10.95. The chips and coleslaw were average at best. It was such a disappointment after a long journey.

Great place for a coffee and snack after walks in the park

I am very dissatisfied with the service I received.

Queues were long and the staff seemed harried. Menu sounded good, we had cake and hot drinks. Would go back to try the chorizo sandwich. Lots of parking.

Burger I had was terribly dry and underwhelming. Expected more to be honest, especially when they have so many people passing through you'd think more emphasis would be put on serving better quality food.

A good stop off when walking or cycling in the park. Very busy but staff nice and food is good. Free parking which is a plus and the police were there offering to mark bicycles free of charge

Excellent pit stop and warn food

Extremely disappointed. We arrived at the Roehampton gate Colicci at 1540 after being caught in a torrential downpour, I was with my 1 year old son and dog (both soaked) to get a hot drink and warm up before heading home. Only to be refused entry as they were shutting early as it was ‘quiet’ yet there were at least 15 people inside. There was also a lady with her son who had also been caught in the rain and wished to seek a short bit of refuge before cycling home. Poor show from you Colicci

I’ve visited this cafe on 5 separate occasions and only on one occasion (back in summer 2023) can I remember staff giving basic good customer service. No idea why, but the staff in this cafe consistently come across as blank and unwelcoming. I sort of just expect it now and humour myself with it but you can see from other reviews that this along with prices let this cafe down. I suppose given its location it doesn’t really matter. If they were competing on a high street, it’d be a different story and they’d have to try harder or recruit staff that are better suited to this type of work.

Service is too slow - you would expect a quick bite at a cafe inside the park but it took a long time to have just two cups of coffee then even longer for the food to be ready. Food isn’t too bad. The chicken burger is hot and tasty but the smash (beef) burger is dry. The staff is rude and not smiling, but probably because there were more customers than they could handle.

Worst customer service ever. Food is decent and obviously Richmond Park is gorgeous but the staff were so incredibly rude and unhelpful.

Great service and lovely coffee, but everything else is very expensive!

I have been served by a lovely young lady who was smiley, polite and very pleasant but at the moment of receiving my hot beverage, another lady took over and put 2 drinks on till. I just wanted to make sure that one of them was mine so I asked politely to confirm that was what I asked. She just looked at me as if I was dumb, didn’t say anything , show me the receipt under the cup, and left without saying a word! Another staff member has to apologise to me for the behaviour of her colleague. For the price of the products, have at least nice people which can make it up!

Great place to stop. Very expensive. The bacon, tomatoe and avacado ciabbata roll was nice but at £10 and a can of diet coke at £2.50......

It shows 6pm as closing time, but already closed at 5pm.

The only place around so they don’t make an effort. 4pm on a Friday; one stale sandwich…no hot food at all…staff looking like they hate their customers…

Staff were short when opening the coffee hut, we ordered three Mocha’s and pastries and and the attitude continued from the female member of staff. Staff, coffees and dry pastries need improving to be charging at that level.

The dining next to the parking lot is very convenient, the sausage buns are very filling, there are many choices of drinks, and there are different bread choices, and the coffee tastes a little weak.

I have an epileptic dog who has separation anxiety making it hard to leave him. I came here but this cafe doesn’t allow dogs to come inside sadly and there was no way to order outside. I find it quite unusual that a park cafe doesn’t allow dogs inside.

Great location, food ok but the service is absolutely shocking. It’s not cheap and the staff are so rude, they can’t smile, don’t think about saying please/thank-you. In fact they don’t say anything. If they don’t enjoy the work then don’t work!

Food here is really good and one must try it. Service was ok and could be better, I noticed the staff looked over worked, and tired. I smiled at the young lady who served me, and I asked her to smile as she seemed to be miles away. We all have difficult days, my Mother passed away recently but I'm still smiling because I've done all my crying. Come on team, you've got a great little business which could be even greater.

Overall quality is reasonable for a cafe. However prices on their website menu are old and current prices are high. I can understand that costs have increased but seems overpriced for what you get.

Super expensive, almost £10 for a tiny wrap in a huge cardboard box. It also took 40 mins for this wrap on a pretty quiet day! I will say the wrap did taste nice 😌

Unfortunately, I had a bad experience at this cafe. Employees are unfriendly and react very strangely to comments. We ordered a burger, tea and cake. I was asked if I planned to drink and eat in the establishment and if I wanted milk - I answered "yes". But as a result, they gave me tea and cake packed as "take away" and did not pour milk. When I asked if this is how they serve food and tea inside, the employee threw a plate at me so that I could transfer the cake from the bag. I asked for cold milk, but they poured me cold from a can to heat milk for coffee, it didn't look good and I asked again, but they still didn't replace it. The tea was bagged and tasteless for £3 and it was simply impossible to drink without milk. I was in a very bad mood after visiting this cafe.

Location is excellent but coffee poor and food overpriced compared to non Colicci park cafes. Could do with more tables outside to cope with busy periods. Sandwich range very limited.
