Called in around 6 p.m. Wed. 20th March for a fish supper with tea and bread and butter. Lovely meal, tasty fish and chips with peas, 😋😋. The service was excellent and really good value for money. Thank you.

Unfriendly and rude man frying, I ended up walking out and taking my custom elsewhere.

Love this place. Same as it's always been lovely friendly staff and great freshly made food. Been going here since high school it's the one place that has only got better with time especially the table service. Highly recommend the afternoon fish tea ❤️

I remember this place when they still wrapped your dinner up in newspaper. Used to be great. Huge bags of chips. Went in the other day. Snarky owner who put too much sauce on (drowned it.) Then blamed me because I didn't say "When" Overpriced and wasn't good at all.

It's always worth a detour to visit Coia's, fresh local produce, great coffee served up by lovely staff! Best chippy around.

We luckily visited this iconic fish and chip shop in Armadale. Nice food and friendly service made a great experience there. A must go restaurant if you happen to be in Armadale. On main street!

Came in on Sunday 19 September, cycling from Edinburgh, and were warmly welcomed, had our wet bikes brought in and served delicious fish and chips. Thank you so much! It got us on to Glasgow! Well recommended.

We were locking our bikes up outside in the rain and a lady from the café said we should bring our bikes in, so we did and very grateful for it too. Fish supper teas were delicious and choice of small portion too,good when we still had some hills to climb. Toilets very nice and clean too.

Excellent local cafe with friendly welcoming staff. Great coffee and tasty rolls, toasties and cooked breakfasts as well as freshly cooked fish teas. Spotlessly clean and excellent Covid procedures in place making patrons feel comfortable.

Looked lovely stuff but had to leave feeling slightly embarrassed am just visiting the area for the night called in for some chips all of £1.90 didn’t see any sighs saying cash only and with the recent circumstances a lot of people are bringing in card machines. asked to pay by card using my phone as I do most places bloke just looked blankly at me and said cash only like I was supposed to know this. if am in the area again and I remember my wallet I would probably go back

Coias is my go to for a fish supper, they are always really tastey and i couldn't recommend enough! i haven't tried their burgers etc. but i have heard they are also lovely. I have recently discovered how GOOD their COFFEE is! I have a coffee lover and i can be very fussy with my coffee, i like it made well! Coias definitely doesn't disappoint! I got a cappuccino and it was really good, with real chocolate shavings on top!!

Mrs coia's attitude and the way she is with customers is disgraceful and appalling ever time i order in the with mrs coia that takes my order she always gets things wrong with my order and when u go say to her that there is a thing missing from my plate she hits the roof and talking to me like rubbish telling me that that isn't what i asked for or i didnt order that her attitude with customers and in general is out write disgusting and u have had it for the last time i will not be recommending this place to anyone nor the food and will be the last time i set foot in it.

As a visitor to the area last time taking my son to football I could not believe the rudeness of not letting a young boy use the toilet. Reluctantly we visited today with oldest son (following his football match) to meet a very unfriendly lady who wanted 30p for a glass to go with my can when I sat down to wait for my sons lunch being made. We were not permitted to be in that area and not cross I to it to use the toilet or dispose of paper in the rubbish bin. Now I won’t ever be back and yet when we lived near there we used to frequent the sweet shop with the kids. Bad advert for scotttish tourism with their attitude and I am overly keen to support friendly local businesses.

Nice clean place to get a coffee and a bit to eat. Friendly and good quality food, very handy place to go after shopping in Armadale as it is very central.

We often visit here as we love the fish. Everything is always made fresh which we normally call before going to collect. Staff are always very friendly. Only one thing I would say could do with a few more chips 😁 only place we will go now to get fish supper.

The best chippy in West Lothian. Being a really fussy eating I’m unusually a total pain when it comes to food. However the food is always cooked fresh using local supplier. I’ve never tasted fish so good before. All the staff are really friendly as well.

Had a couple of hours free while daughter was at party nearby and having read the positive reviews, my husband and I decided to treat ourselves to a tea time meal at Coia's. The first thing I noticed on entering was the cleanliness of the restaurant. This place is gleaming and while there I observed a lady cleaning worktops and surfaces. A good start before we even had our meal. The young waiter quickly brought us menus and was very polite and helpful through out the meal. The menu is more extensive than the average fish and chip shop with pasta, pizza as well as the usual fried dishes. My husband ordered the roast chicken tea which came with chips, beans, bread and a pot of tea. I had a small fish supper. I can't praise the food highly enough! The fish was delicious, fresh and flaky and the batter was light and crispy. We both agreed that the chips were also very good, not like the greasy chips you often get from chip shops. We have recently returned from a trip up north where we dined in a high end restaurant and I chose 'beer battered haddock' with hand cut chips. The meal I ate tonight was far superior and at a fraction of the price. During the meal one of the owners checked that we were enjoying our food, again excellent, attentive and friendly service. To end the meal, I had a cappuccino which was also delicious. Some high end establishments could learn a lot from the cleanliness, service and standard of food we experienced at Coias tonight. What was also apparent was the pride and rightly so, of all staff involved in the business. Unfortunately our visit was cut short as our elder daughter had forgotten her house key but we will definitely return. Well worth the journey!

This is one of the most amazing restaurants I've discovered. This is a full restaurant with fantastic Italian food, burgers and of course fish and chips. Their chips are a favorite among Glasweigiansas is their ice cream. Every time I go to Glasgow I eat here since I discovered it thanks to my brother-in-law. If you can make a reservation do but you can just walk in too. Glasgow Cathedral and the Acropolis are a short walk away.

OK. I hadn't had a fish supper from here for a few years. I was born in Armadale & used it back & forth over the years & it was always 'OK' but unspectacular, as are most of the chippies in the area. Anyway, We accidentally, via a friends facebook page, stumbled upon the fact that the sit in café area was turning out, by the look of the pictures, a limited but tasty looking Italian menu. We went through the other day for an early tea - It was a revelation - I thought we'd entered an alternate universe, like the last 40 minutes of the movie 'Interstellar'. Home cooked, fresh, no frills, Italian classics. The Minestrone soup was as good as I've had anywhere. Next was an excellent pasta Bolognese made with fresh beef from the local butchers. Capuccinos were top class too. We took home a couple of slices of fresh lemon tart for later. It was sensational. Dunno what else to say - we went back next day for a take out orzo pasta & fresh spinach soup. Also brilliant. Everything made fresh every day. It's a very limited menu so worth checking each day for the specials. Friendly & good value too. Just what Armadale & West Lothian needs.

I must admit that I'm quite surprised at the negative comment regarding Coia's. In a small town like Armadale there isn't the demand for chips later at night and this is a very harsh criticism if you've not tried the food or drinks. Every time that I have visited, whether it be breakfast, lunch or dinner I've received nothing but excellent food and service. I feel its value for money and has plenty of options to suit everyone. The lattes are a particular favourite of mine in the morning with a haggis supper my dinner choice.

Walked in to get 2 fish suppers at 9pm on a Friday night to be told we are closed . It's a joke.9pm in a Friday night, are we going back to dark ages, start serving food when working people need it.If you can afford to turn away business why not just close for good .

Recently popped into this cafe, take away for lunch in Armadale. It is a fish and chip take away in the main street as well as a sit in cafe. Very friendly staff who are so helpful. Very, very clean with lots of space. Basic cafe food, good keen prices. Good Italian coffee. Open 7 days a week from early morning to late evening.
