A fabulous independent restaurant that serves exceptionally high-quality dishes and has the nicest and most pleasent staff, who somehow always manage to be attentive without being intrusive. It is my family and friends' go to place for lunch and evening meals as we know their standards never waiver. Went here for a party and the chef went above and beyond and kindly made whole a vegan menu - there were so many more options than I expected! What I had was delicious. I would love if the tofu was a permanent thing on the menu, but I know that sadly vegan food is often overlooked by diners simply because of the vegan lable and it might not be worth it for a restaurant to do. The staff are very welcoming and were very attentive. I went for a walk outside afterwards along the river, it was lovely. I'm going to ask where they got the vegan ice cream because it's the best ice cream I've ever had, vegan or otherwise!

My wife and her friend eat here regularly her friend could not make it yesterday so I went with her the meal and service was excellent

Place is a scam I don’t know how anybody with taste buds could enjoy any dish from this restaurant. I was sick all night after eating their awful burrata and grilled peaches and pork belly main course both were inedible sent it all back. A 12 year old boy could have made a tastier menu. Needs to be shut down or be put under new management. The only good thing was a half decent margarita everything else was mediocre at best. Prices are an absolute joke. Don’t be fooled! Only reason I haven’t shown back up there to say I’m suing is because I don’t live in this country 😂 let’s hope Gordon Ramsey never finds this god forsaken establishment.

Food was beautiful, set menu was great. Service was better then any top restaurant in London I've been. The manger made sure our water was always topped up also the wine.. Very polite and friendly. I have recommended to lots of people. We will be back soon.

The mussels were some of the most freshest I’ve ever tasted - truly delicious. Unfortunately, one of my party sent their lamb back and the manager came over incredible aggressive and at a ten. Really uncalled for and just bizarre.

80th birthday celebration for a party of 15. Very enjoyable and great service . Impressed how each course was served to everyone at the same time. We were not rushed.

Just had a amazing Mother’s Day lunch the staff was really friendly and the food was very high-quality and the kids enjoyed themselves as well my wife, especially loved the babies cheesecake

You couldn't fault a thing. Only two tables this lunchtime so no real atmosphere.

Food is absolutely divine all 3 courses I had. If you love seafood then I highly recommend the bouillabaisse fish soup absolute chef's kiss.

Nice food, clean, good decor, attentive staff and overall ambience good. A bit noisy due to a table of, quite, loud ladies but that's not the restaurant's fault, of course. Main downside is that the place is expensive and that they have that annoying practice where they add a "discretionary" 10% service charge. I really dislike that as you would feel like a sleaze asking them to remove it! Our bill was inflated by over £40 as a result of the charge which is, a bit steep. In times past, the service charge or "tips" as they used to be known, were to compensate poorly paid catering staff. What's the reason now?

Visited here to meet with 3 other local Estate Agents for a midweek lunch. We had the set lunch menu £24 for 2 courses or £28 for 3 courses. Fantastic food, great location, brilliant service and atmosphere perfect for a business lunch.

Had Xmas dinner at Coho with a large group. Service was a bit slow, considering it was a pre ordered menu, so they knew ahead what everyone wanted. Very mean on the vegetables and brussel sprouts (all 3 of them) were raw. Nobody ate them.

Really good food, good service and not too expensive. One of our favorite lunchtime venues.

Was a bit disappointed that some of our party were waited on more than others. We were each supposed to have 1/2 bottle of wine, well I got 125ml!!! Parking is a problem

We went for lunch, our first visit and would like to try it again, but it was just too chilly. I asked the staff what the problem was, they apologised and explained it's a barn, so not well insulated. They also said it was warmer in the evenings when there are more customers. There were radiators, but the nearby tables were taken.

Really disappointed with tonight’s meal, came out for a 70th family meal, the dairy free option I had was awful, I told the waitress but they did nothing to reflect the bill, spent £166 and ate ice cream for my meal. Ribeye was too fatty to eat, wouldn’t return. Probably should have kicked up more of a fuss but have a colicky baby at home and needed to dash off. Won’t be eating there again sadly. Staff were really nice however!

Food was not good, wouldn’t take returns and left feeling hungry and massively out of pocket. Will not return.

Yesterday we celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary with you and we want to thank you for a fantastic experience. The food, atmosphere and attentive staff was spot on. We would definitely recommend CoHo.

This restaurant never lets you down. Food is always of a very high standard. The service is attentive but never intrusive. Nice touches like high quality bread on arrival. Just a really high standard all round. Well done Jason and your team.

Love this restaurant. I had my 6th visit this year on Saturday and they impress every time. The service is top notch - a great balance of understanding, attentive but not overly attentive, and just lovely people. The food is always great. Extensive menu of fish and a perfectly cooked steak. Definitely my favourite restaurant in the area. And they do a very tasty mojito. Will be back again soon.

Been coho a few times now, and it’s the a lovely place to eat in Harlow. Relaxed atmosphere, great service and lovely food at a good price for the quality you’re getting. Lucky to have this place in Harlow.

Nestled between Sawbridgeworth and Old Harlow right on the Herts and Essex border, COHO is a converted boat shed beautifully renovated and overlooking the River Stort. The staff a friendly, welcoming and ensure a pleasant dining experience. No the cheapest dinning in the area, but I’m a firm believer in, you get what you pay for. I had the muscles for starter and lamb rump with dauphinois potatoes. The food wish beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. If you’re in the area or passing, drop in, I would highly recommend.

Coho is always spot on for food,helpful with gluten free dairy free and vegan options well worth a visit.

Very generous portion even you order set menu. Welcome with nice warm bread and staffs are friendly. The scallop and sea bass are the highlight . I wish the soup can be less watery and mussels has more favouring. When the weather is good, it is nice to walk along the river.

Nice restaurant, we went there on weekday their lunch sets offer lots of options. Presentation is good, taste good and value for money. Would recommend trying their seafood, very fresh and cooked well. Mixed seafood soup taste delicious, seafood linguine, crab & avocado salad all ver nice with fresh ingredients. Unfortunately the aged beef ribeye over cooked and not as ordered medium rare. Others dishes are perfectly done. Would recommend to anyone who love seafood.

Had a lovely meal we chose the lunch time special £22.95 for two courses, mussels were amazing as was the bisque soup. We all had fish for main , prawn and crab salad, or salmon all delicious, brilliant service from a lovely young lady with a beautiful smile.

This is one of your most favourite places to eat. Food is always good as is the service.

Another excellent evening at CoHo, where the food is of excellent quality from a relatively small menu. The service was very efficient from the friendly waitresses and waiters and mine host, Jason, was always in attendance with a warm welcome or helping out with serving or clearing tables. Car park is a bit small, but off road parking available close by. Well done and thank you Jason and CoHo staff. You never disappoint!

Have been many times b4 and have always had the fish soup for a starter as it is usually overflowing with flavour. This time it was sadly very bland the only fish flavour came from the 1 floating prawn. Very disappointing. The waiter was charming and couldn't have been more helpful. We visited for my mum's birthday and she really enjoyed her steak which was cooked to perfection. We were given coffee on the house as it was her birthday which was a lovely touch.

We booked a table for 15 for a special birthday lunch and, knowing that it's always going to be difficult to serve 15 starters, main courses and desserts swiftly, were not expecting such exceptional service. The food was REALLY good, service was excellent and the final bill was much less than I was expecting. Toppest of top marks. Totally completely and utterly recommended if you are planning a celebration and want to impress and delight your guests.

Lovely restaurant, we both loved the food, great quality and big portions, creme brulee was amazing. Friendly staff with a sense of humour. Good value too. Will definitely go again and highly recommend.

Saturday night and late booking so we took the 8.45 spot. On first impressions although in openness I have eaten here before it is quite pretentious. There is parking outside and that's a plus but very cramped. We arrived earlier hoping the table would come free sooner as we don't usually eat this late. At 9.20 after sitting in the waiting area for nearly an hour and after asking we were shown to a table that had clearly been empty for a while since no one had left whilst we were there. Sitting in reception we had been given menus and offered drinks. Mine came up wrong simple lemonade and cordial £5 but given soda and cordial which was exchanged. My daughter had small glass of wine. On the table is bread and butter. Nice touch. Eventually they came to get our order by this point we just had mains. The menu is great by the way but not cheap. Average main is about £23. We saw the waiter give our food to the next table where they tried it before realising that they hadn't ordered the lamb and the waiter took it back to the kitchen. About 2 minutes later or less it miraculously reappeared at our table. To be fair we asked and was told the lamb would be pink it wasn't. It was slightly overcooked and my lamb rump was cold. The lamb cutlets were well done and tough. Overall presentation great. We were hungry so ate it anyway. It would have been an incredible meal if it was hot and not overcooked. We didn't have desert as by then it was 10pm and as mentioned before I can't eat really late. On the bill they had overcharged for 2 glasses of wine which was sorted without apology when we challenged it. Personally I don't think the staff care particularly or maybe they were tired by this point but it was overall a disappointing experience. As for the restaurant its def not a jeans turn up as you feel type of place. Make an effort. The menu looks good but the food didn't live upto expectations. £75 for two mains and 2 drinks.

Excellent. Very pretty setting along the river bank. My only complaint is that due to the frosted window panels, there is a very restricted view. The food is also excellent and the staff attentive. Had a bit of a wait, but otherwise very happy

It was our first visit to Coho last night to celebrate our friends recent wedding. The food was absolutely superb, we ate at The Ivy the week before and the food at Coho was better. The service was second to none and we were well looked after. I can't wait to return to Coho!

Excellent meal, attentive relaxed service. I had the mussels and Dover Sole. Simple, perfectly cooked fresh fish.

The service is excellent. Very efficient no long waits. No checking in whilst your eating which I hate. Food was good a little under seasoned but it's down to individual taste and there is salt and pepper on your table to add so no issue really. Decor lovely very tasteful and understated. All in all a great restaurant.

I live across from coho and today the 24th March 2022 I watched 3 young lads Throw a cone in the river at some of the wild life . Parents visiting the restaurant should keep a close eye on there kids . As residence living close by don’t take kindly to this behaviour . Many thanks

Great food, great service as always.

Went for lunch, very good service. Lovely set meal. Creamed chicken livers with mushrooms and onions and crispy toasted bread. Delicious! Fish of the day, Sea Bass and Cod in a vegetable sauce. Homemade bread. My husband had portello mushroom, stuffed with cheese and pine nuts. Stuffed chicken breast. Really well cooked and presented. Very good value. Would highly recommend.

Appearance looks fancy but don't go here if you are vegetarian. The main meal options on the set menu were limited, also cannot cook risotto, and when you complain about it they say it is meant to be "aldente", however is actually undercooked as it has a crunch. This indicates it is undercooked and dangerous to eat. Did offer a replacement main however the options were limited and bland.

Food excellent and great value some lovely young waiters but attitude of owner let's this place down very disrespectful in the way he speaks to customers such a shame as the food was amazing

Just came across COHO Brasserie on a Sunday ride out, Got us in on short notice, fab staff, the food was delicious, calf's liver was to die for, will definitely be making a trip back here.

Complaining the fish was overcooked got a response " this is what it should be like". What happened to the customer is always right??? And the customer has been to a few upmarket restaurants?

Not the first time we have eaten here and it will not be the last. Comfortable surroundings and friendly staff make this a very enjoyable place to eat. Good quality food is a pleasure to eat.

Recent visit for Christmas work Lunch. Food beautifully presented but unfortunately main course fish dishes, there was some confusion with pre orders and we received Monkfish instead of Seabass . This could not be changed. The Monkfish was slightly overcooked and a bit rubbery , young waiter was informed of this. But no feedback from Management . Maincourses luke warm . Starters and desserts faultless though and lovely ambience in restaurant although slightly chilly !

Great food. Excellent helpful but unobtrusive staff - our wine glasses was topped up just at the right time. Loved the butter curls that reminded me of my mother as growing up butter was always curled. We had the set menu of two courses. My partner had a large helping of lovely fresh duck salad with cucumber, orange segments, croutons, redcurrant & orange balsamic dressing followed by an equally large helping of belly pork with crackling mash potatoes with savoy cabbage, bacon and a jus - which I finished for her. I had Portobello mushroom topped with gruyere cheese & breadcrumbs with red onion marmalade followed by the fish of the day - delicious Sea bass with crisp skin, fresh al dente asparagus and sautéed new potatoes.

Brilliant tasty food, excellent service, lovely place to have a fairly priced meal at lunchtime. Good portions too. You won't go away hungry.
