Our favourite cafe in Bath. Service excellent, staff always friendly and helpful.

The coffee is good, but not up to the standards of the city centre venues… however the prices are as expensive. Plenty of tempting cakes! I think the big attraction is its location… alongside the river with an old restored bridge (no traffic just walkers and cyclists).

An impeccable service with great attention to detail and friendly. They catered to our dietary requirements and have a wide range of vegan and vegetarian options. The banana loaf and coronation chicken were especially good!

Good location and atmosphere. Not enough attention to cleanliness. Dirty cups, uncleared tables (busy Sunday).

Coffee#1 is my favourite coffee shop, without exception. After finding the one in Bath I've now been a couple of times. Parking is on the doorstep, which being in the centre of a city is quite a bonus. Forget the regular "high st" chains and give it a try, I promise you won't be disappointed. I've never had a bad experience in probably over 6 years of using Coffee#1 around the country. For Coffee#1; please keep doing what your doing, the sites are decorated in such a way that it's a relaxing environment. The staff are always welcoming and take some ownership of the service and do it with care which indicates happy staff. I continue to use Coffee#1 as my go to place, I still have never had a bad experience, and on reflection I just don't think it will happen. There is one problem though, when I take a friend who has never been before, they love it, and I now feel as though one day I may have to que outside to get in !!! Thank you Coffee#1

Convenient stop for taking a break from cycling down bristol and bath railway path. Bike parking available just outside the coffee shop. Very nice match latte and granola. The place was decent and clean. Definitely will visit again.

Quiet cafe on the river bank, good coffee and pastries in addition to what is typical in this type of establishment. It has a terrace in case the weather is good...

Coffee Number 1, Riverside in Bath is a delightful spot for coffee aficionados. The serene riverside setting adds to the charm, while the cozy ambiance and friendly staff make it a perfect place to unwind. Their artisanal coffee offerings are simply divine.

First time in this Coffee1, and it has the same relaxing interior that they are known for. I grabbed a table by the window where I could look out on the river..a dull day today, but it would be lovely in the sunshine. Cake was lovely as always, and the flat white was ok. It was reasonably busy as it's surrounded by apartments on the Riverside development.

Very very dirty when sat near windows, spiders and cobwebs everywhere and looked like hadn't been cleaned in ages, very off putting

Lovely place to stop (on a very rainy day) for a view over the river with a good flat white and banana bread. Pleasant service and dog friendly too

Went there for the first time today very frendly staff and nice surroundings only negative is no parking g I know it mainly for people cycling or walking as apartments and home but we live out side bath and was passing

Unbelievable slow. Crawling pace. Over 15’ on the queue (which wasn’t that long). Not a quick bites place at all.

The initial greeting was good, but things quickly deteriorated when I wasn’t given a tea cup and had to ask for one, which was then practically thrown at me. The cup was dirty, and the milk jug. Tables were left with used crockery on them whilst the staff preferred to sit on the floor behind the counter. Not a great experience.

Nice little café. Accidentally stayed over the closing time and got kicked out oops. But they were nice enough about it.

Great stop on Bristol-Bath bike path. Very bright and airy location for a nice coffee break.

Really cozy coffee shop. Lovely staff, lovely view by the river. And of course Coffee#1 has, in my opinion, the best coffee out of all the coffee chains in the UK. So it tasted fantastic.

Coffee#1 Bath Riverside. A Dog friendly and people friendly cafe. I love the atmosphere. Whether it's students studying, friend meet-ups and any other conversations. + The One man and his Dog, too. The Dogs have water bowls and reward biscuits available, too. The staff are capable, work well as a team. Are friendly. You can pay with money or a card. (Far better and fairer than other city centre card only purchases). The varied food and drink are good. Probably better priced, than the city centre food cafes. It's lovely in the warmer, drier month's (in 2022), when you can sit outside and eat and drink. A great place to watch the world go by in, (with my friends). I usually end up giving attention to passing dogs and their owners. It's also a baby and mama friendly cafe. I have certainly seen some lovely young babies and exhausted mum's outside this cafe. It's good being by the River Avon. Watching swans, ducks and Training Paddle Boarders, when the River is calm in Summer. I love this place. I'm grateful it's here in Bath, Grateful it doesn't have the crowded, noisy, sometimes antisocial behaviour,you see and experience in the city centre. There is a time limit in the carpark outside. There is a camera recording when people arrive and leave. There is a good pedestrian bridge, nearby. It connects Upper Bristol Road with Lower Bristol Rod. I wish Coffee#1Bath Riverside, much Kudos in all they do.

I ordered a Frap which came half full and way too sweet and they gave me the wrong toastie which should have been ham and cheese but looks like mushroom and vomit. Very much unimpressed by the quality, cost and service.

A hidden gem where you have home atmosphere if you are human or a dog - all get welcoming smile and lovely service.

Used a couple of times while staying close by. Used for a breakfast stop and afternoon refreshments. Music decent and not too loud

Loved this place. The staff were friendly, professional & organised. Also loved the beautiful Christmas tree & relaxed atmosphere. Wonderful location by the river & short walk into the city. Would have given it 6 stars!

Refused to sell take-away caramel shortbread at the £2.10 price clearly shown in the display cabinet. Instead of apologising for their mistake and charging the price advertised, they insisted I had to pay £4.40 for two, as 'the price as gone up, but we forgot to change the signs'. Had enough of companies taking the p***. Bye then.

Always very charming staff, but company systems seem to slow service down at all their units. Great location, often busy.

Always good coffee, and I love their cake selection too. Best of all, it’s dog friendly – they even have a dog board of their favourite photos!

Great atmosphere, Kind staff and delicious coffee! The lovely lady that served me asked which coffee I wanted, I wasn't even aware they offered two types! (Dark and medium) This was great news as a coffee lover. Everyone who works here has a great attitude and a smile on their face. They also had coconut milk which is another pro for me as I prefer it in my coffee! There was free refillable water, clean bathrooms and comfy chairs. Furthermore the music they were playing was very good so ill definitely be coming back here :)

Nice little cafe situated next to the river. Calm and peaceful, with a free car park for convenience. Dogs are allowed in the cafe which was nice, and good toasties and cakes!

Always quick and good coffee in the morning and good food selection if you need it. Massive teacakes!

Excellent coffee, excellent service and the staff are brilliant, but look out for the disabled parking bay, it is very poorly marked, just a couple of discs on the road, £100 fine for accidentally parking there.

This cafe is located in a nice neighborhood, next to the river and a footbridge. The coffee is of high quality and the sandwiches are tasty. The interior of the cafe is inviting, cozy and you get nice views of the outside from the large windows.

Really lovely coffee venue! They serve one of the best coffees you could ask for! They have two blends. A smooth one and a sweeter one. The sweeter one is a better blend I would say! The staff members are very friendly and are great to socialise with! The overall service was also lovely too. Great place for couples, friends, family members and even some dogs! 5 stars all around!

Perfect place to tuck yourself into a cozy corner with a white hot chocolate and a good book! Very friendly staff and paninis that cost as much as you'd expect in cafés (but they're very tasty!)

Great coffee #1. The coffee is as good as in every coffee n1 and there are also amazing views to the river. It has a parking if you prefer to come by car and it is free for customers up to 2 h. The place inside is huge and confy and the personel very nice.

Sat outside as it was a sunny day. Clean and tidy. Coffee and cake was lush. Friendly staff

Such an easy and relaxed atmosphere here, spacious with great outside eating over looking the water. Nice coffee too, saw several students working away who never seemed to be hassled, so great place to pop out the laptop and make sure you hit those deadlines 🙂

Friendly place and good coffee. We were accidentally served a medium and charged for a large coffee but we didn't realise until we had finished the coffee so not deducting any stars for that as it was our error. Wonderful views over the river as well

Pleasant location and good service

I went there many times and their wifi NEVER works as well as 4G signal being non-existent. If I pay £3.50 for a coffee I would like to at least have an opportunity to catch up on e-mails. If you want average takeaway coffee it's an OK place though.
