Coffee factory in Birmingham

I made for this cafe because its sign said "Coffee Diner", and I wanted to have a coffee and dine. It fulfilled both wishes pretty well. It's a standard cafe--what some would call a greasy spoon, and I call a people's cafe. In other words, the sort of cafe that turns out regular food at prices everyday people might afford. It's a small unit, not smart, but not totally grotty. I chose a cheese-and-tomato omelette, to guarantee something fresh cooked. I think they made it the way I do at home--cook an omelette and chuck the filling in at the end. Even so, it was good. Big and floppy: three eggs, fresh tomatoes. Older lady behind the counter was good at her job but having to multitask, so she couldn't table serve. Glad there are places like this still going.

I paid for an afternoon tea from Groupon, as a treat for my wife. I called up to book a table for two which they were okay with. But, as soon as I mentioned my groupon voucher and that I had already bought it, two different people came to the phone to say that they were fully booked, with no alternative time suggestions. I didn't bother to argue the point that they weren't fully booked 30 seconds ago, but it's clear that if you have already paid for their service in advance, they don't want you there. I'm going to request a refund for my groupon and never visit this place, so disrespectful.

Have been visiting here once or twice a week for the last 3 years. Fantastic value, speedy service, and yummy food. Ignore those miserable folk here who are professional moaners, this place is a humble little family run cafe.

Un café sin pretensiones, un interior acogedor, una decoración y un mobiliario agradables, un buen arte en las paredes y muchas opciones de asientos repartidos por todo este café, un lugar realmente genial. Estuvimos aquí un miércoles por la tarde, recibidos calurosamente por un miembro muy agradable del personal, dimos nuestros detalles de nombre y número de teléfono para ayudar con el sistema de seguimiento y localización del gobierno y luego desinfectamos nuestras manos, pedimos un café con leche plano cada uno , estos se sirvieron muy calientes, simplemente nos relajamos, nos relajamos y disfrutamos del gran café en el que estábamos. The Coffee Factory es un magnífico café local en Suffolk Street Queensway que ofrece un buen menú de comidas y bebidas. Ubicado cerca de la rotonda de Holloway Circus y del Radisson Blu Hotel, este es un gran café para tomar un abundante desayuno o probar algunos cafés o tés. Este es un café muy decente con un buen personal y un menú de comidas y bebidas a buen precio y vale la pena visitarlo. This is place ia breay location from 02 and mailbox so if you're looking for. A fulfilling proper breakfast, this is the place. Prefectly cooked. And not expensive for being central

Booked a Groupon afternoon tea for tea before visiting the alexandra for watch ghost stories, the coffee factory is a 2 minute walk from the theatre on the main road. We were warmly welcomed (by the owner I think?) and asked which drink we'd like, teas, coffee, latte, cappuccino and hot chocolate are included, also to choose our sandwiches, which you could have cold or toasties, we chose toasties and they were really good, great selection of small cakes, all of which tasted great and 2 lovely warm scones, cream and jam. We quickly devoured it all, we felt very relaxed here and all the staff were extremely friendly, we will definitely be returning when we're in the area again

Booked an afternoon tea for 4 as we were visiting the xmas market and fancied a treat, The service was wonderful,although it was a busy saturday and they were short staffed she welcomed us in and was served a delicious Tea of mixed sandwiches and cakes,but the scones..Oh those scones were to die for,warm and soft, best i have tried! we had a wonderful time and it made our day!

We’re often staying at Radisson Blu right next door and this time decided to try this little café next door instead of the Hotel Breakfast. And so glad we did! This place is completely unpretentious - and I loved the owner referring to me as “Babs” - you can’t get more Brummy than that xx The food was delicious and served on red hot plates. We paid a little extra for filtered coffee and this was also good. Very clean throughout but lots of workmen in here giving the authentic “greasy spoon” atmosphere - but everyone was very friendly Definitely recommend this over the hotel and saved a few £’s! We were looking for a quick, cheap breakfast in Birmingham, and found it here. This spot is entirely unpretentious, but is clean, great cup of tea, and a hot freshly cooked breakfast. Calling it a "greasy spoon" is not derogatory, more descriptive.

Food hot and tasty, friendly genuine staff, clean, modern and well laid out restaurant that even has free WiFi. Worth a visit and thoroughly recommended

I purchased an afternoon tea for 4 and booked online via groupon for the 3rd aug. When we arrived the lady (who we think was the manager) was very rude when I presented with our voucher and booking and complained that she didn’t know we were attending and that she has told groupon before not to take bookings. She continued to complain about this for 5 mins before she agreed she could serve us our intended purchase. When seated we were offered drinks, one of our party doesn’t drink hot drinks but was told cold drinks were not included in the purchase. The lady asked us whether we wanted to have toasties instead, I said we would like the afternoon tea sandwiches. She asked us what fillings and it was agreed on a vegetarian platter. When the afternoon tea arrived, there was tuna (not vegetarian) in the mix. when I picked up the first sandwich there was a long hair or what looked like a scouting brush thread in it- I pulled it out in front of the lady who was very rude didn’t apologise and complained that she thought we didn’t want to eat there in the first place (when in fact it was her that didn’t want us there as didn’t know about the booking). I asked for a refund as not one bite had been eaten and she refused to give a refund or my voucher back and said I needed to get my refund via groupon. (She has still redeemed the voucher by the way). We were really disappointed as I brought this for friends and we all travelled from different areas to meet for this. I will never return to this dirty and poorly run cafe. In years of writing reviews (mostly positive reviews), this is worst I’ve ever felt the need to write.

Had breakfast here, the service and the food was fantastic. I recommend the breakfast omelette. Really well priced too.

First time in Birmingham City Centre for a theatre visit. Popped into this local café for a coffee and bite to eat first. Not particularly busy... maybe the time of day/week that I went... but an incredibly friendly welcome from the staff really put me at ease. Had an all day breakfast with toast and coffee for less than six pounds. Excellent value. Would recommend to everyone. Deserves to be a busier place and to thrive. Will visit again next time I am in Birmingham.
