What an amazing little roadside cabin. We were recommended to visit here by a few people and they were not wrong! Everything we had was amazing and delicious and lovely staff, usually the owner or her mum. They also have a huge knowledge of the area. The pies are amazing, full of lovely good quality meat, and gravy. All the cakes we tried we loved, the strawberry tarts were a firm favourite as was the lemon drizzle, and carrot cake! I could go on! Don't miss this place if in the area, you will not be disappointed!

What s find! How on earth this lady provides so much choice in such a small van is amazing. Visited a couple of times, coffee amazing and good quality proper coffee. All baking homemade, we tried the savoury flapjacks. WOW, what a taste sensation they were! My husband had a steak pie, delicious full of wonderful steak, intact so good ge went back the next day to get another one and a chicken one (equally amazing!) Support this small buisness if you can, would hate to see it go.

The PERFECT scotch pie!!! WoW! Not tried the steak yet…. Saved for another day. Superb selection of savouries, savoury flapjack! Heaven! Traybakes, GF … all too tasty…. #eyesbiggerthanbelly 😊. All great for a picnic before going to the Gardens…. You won’t be disappointed ❤️

Lovely cakes and bakes - all home made. Look and taste delicious. Raspberry shortcake a highlight! V friendly service. Can’t vouch for the coffee but they have the same hot chocolate that Roasters did.

Popped in today and managed to get a table as they were very busy so enjoyed our usual wonderful lunch. Always cooked to perfection and the famous "Richard's chips" were fantastic. They are dog friendly too so our wee pooch Alvah had a great time being petted by other visitors.

13 Main Rd, Alves AlvesWe have a delicious afternoon tea at The Snug today. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely amazing. Lots of thought is put into the afternoon tea with a great choices of sandwiches, yummy homemade sausage roll, scone and lots of delicious sweet treats. I would highly recommend this just make sure to book in advance because obviously this needs to be prepared. Excellent value for money. Great atmosphere too.

KirktonOn our holiday in Glenelg we popped into this cafe, which is popular with both locals and visitors. We only had coffee, but the food on offer looked very tasty. The owner was very friendly and helpful. There is ample parking nearby. Overall a nice place for a snack. Highly recommend.

Smiddy HouseWe didn’t have a booking but the restaurant fitted us in which we really appreciated. We were not disappointed the food was exceptional and so was the service. The menu is small, but perfect. We all ordered a different main course and none of us were disappointed. I have a starter again, beautiful and the rest of the party a dessert again fantastic. The complimentary soup was a nice touch too. It was the first evening of our stay and it could not have been any better. A really great restaurant. Thank you.

TornapressThe ladies working here are so lovely. I had pancakes with bacon and banana. It was delicious! Had some cinnamon tea which was very nice.
