Second time iv had food poisoning from Codnor tandoori now! I gave it another chance but now I can really see how they have always had a 1 or 2 star hygiene rating. The food may taste nice but it is not cooked or stored properly…

25/05/24 update🤔 Picked food up..Normal have a wait time on arrival of 10 mins Curry/Rice/Cheesy Naan/chips spot on.👍 ............. Food spot on and chips are decent, not soggy like other takeaways. ................. Just picked up a chicken kebab sweet chilly and mint .....oh my days, its delish. 08/12/21 Blokes on counters sound🤜🤛. Definitely a revisit is on cards this weekend ............... 2017 They do forget to deliver all items,occassionally leaving 1 item out and time to deliver can be upto 2hrs😞😡 Would highly recommend pick up or order before 6pm 😉because you may be in for a long wait🤕

Staff rude. Was told delivery would be within a hour, still no sign almost 2 hours later, rang to see where order was, said i wasnt happy with the wait, the response from tandoori was ‘ so what you want to cancel? No apology. Prior order was burnt and a new replacement sent over a hour later! Never ordering from here again! AVOID

2 and half hrs to come and when it come looked and tasted like it had been sat on side for a good while and was cold used to love it here been going on and off for over 10 years but doubt I’d be going again.

Amazing! Best pizzas and kebab by a mile, fresh ingredients cooked to perfection. Our first time ordering will definitely order again, highly recommend :)

Omg,rang for a takeaway tonight got through at 6.06pm,still hadn't been delivered at 7.55pm,had to ring up bloke said it's on its way,over 2 hours for a takeaway,delivery person was lovely,really apologetic for the delay.Food was absolutely awful won't be going to order from there again.

Great pizza, garlic bread and cheesy chips. Always order a pot of masala sauce with them, it's the best combination 😋 not tried the curry but if that sauce is anything to go by they'll be lovely

Staff are so nice, funny to talk to while waiting. Had a 3 meat kebab, and it was really good!👍 cooked lovely and very good quality meat, great naan bread as well, very nice would recommend. 😋

People that work there are lovely and the pizzas we had was amazing and exactly as we ordered them.

This is some photos from the food me and my family had tonight. The food tasted beautiful and was properly cooked, you can tell that they take care and pride when they're making it. The staff was amazing when I went to collect the food, making conversations and having a laugh. Highly recommend you eat from here. 😄

First time we used this takeaway. Went on previous reviews so thought it would be good. Waited 1 hour and 40 mins for the food , when it arrived the LARGE kebab was small. We would have ordered 2 if we had known how minimal it was. The kebab pitta was soggy , hardly any meat , no onion and a measly bit of salad. Wouldn't order again obviously other people aren't as fussy as us !.

It’s been over 10 years since I last visited this Mecca of all Pizza 🍕 establishments. The food has not changed at all, it’s hands down the best pizza I’ve ever had. So good I did a 150 mile round trip for it! Amazing and I’ve missed this food!

First time I ordered tonight food was amazing there is a good variety on the menu for a family like mine as my 2 younger kids to like Indian food so got them a pizza and chips the pizza tho I didn't try it myself the kids loved it and the tandoori mixed grill was epic the naan bread was the most fresh naan I have ever graced my mouth with I couldn't fault one little thing deffo going to be my 1 stop regular takeaway

Not only is the best place to eat from, it's got a fantastic bunch of staff and is probably one of the busiest takeaways around. The pizzas are unique and its impossible to find similar elsewhere. The curry's and kebabs are amazing too.

Best take away pizza ever. Not saying its fine cuisine obviously, but if you're after a proper greasy, take away pizza than this it. Partner always enjoys his chicken and naan too. Gutted that you're closed on Sundays. Always friendly when I go in too.

It's ok, used to be the place to go but now it seems so busy they don't really have time to make the food. Had a couple of Biryani' and they were just bland and flavourless, pizza was ok but had obviously been on a hotplate for 15 mins while the biryani was cooked. Not bad but not like it used to be unfortunately.

What can be said other than oh my god this place is brilliant? Clean establishment, friendly staff, phenomenal food with a good range (even for folk like me with a million allergies). To put the icing on the cake all the staff have beards which I highly condone. Will definitely be back, this is now our go to pizza place, if the curries match up it may well become our go to curry house too!

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I have seen counter and telephone staff hadling raw dough balls and throwing them over to the other side of the shop to another person who flattens them out into pizza bases. Not one of the staff had washed their hands after lifting the telephone handset and operating the till before doing this. It also begs the question WHY do the staff - and OWNER, who witnessed this disgusting game feel that its 'perfectly acceptable conduct?' And, in front of a customer too? I couldn't believe what I was seeing. When I got home, I called and asked to speak with the manager. I identified myself to him so he had a reference point. I asked him repeatedly WHY the business owner condones such inappropriate behaviour on his premises. He couldn't give me a straight answer no matter how many times I asked him to justify the actions of his staff and himself for allowing this to happen. No. He wasn't going to give me a straight answer. So it makes you wonder, doesn't it. What on earth goes on behind the scenes in the kitchen!? Exactly. Use this takeaway at your own risk. I know that we certainly won't be using codnor tandoori again.

I’ve personally been going here since I was 10 I’m now 33 and I HAVE NEVER BEEN DISAPPOINTED IN THE FOOD AND I MEAN NEVERRRR THE PIZZAS WOW THE KEBABS WOW THE MASALA SAICE WELL THATS LIQUID GOLD YOU CANT HAVD A PIZZA OR KEBAB WITHOUT IT AND THATS A FACT NO CAP 🧢 THESE ARE THE BEST XXXX

Amazing takeaway. Very, very busy at the weekends (always a good sign). You may struggle to get through on the phone but it's worth the wait.

I love this place. First time I had a pizza from here was 12 years ago. Still going strong. Never had an issue. Difficult to get through on the phones but worth sticking out to get through. Staff are really friendly and polite. I live a fair distance away now but still drive down to collect.

Codnor Tan is the best pizza in the world but you have to have the Masala Sauce too! Amazing!

Took over 2 hours to be delivered and when it finally came we had to put it in the oven because it was cold and they also got the order wrong and to top it off Delivery driver was really rude. So all in all I will not be ordering from they again

Probably the best pizza place locally, iv pretty much tried them all (locally) they take real pride in the dough and the sauce, iv never had a bad pizza or curry, and it's all made fresh, been eating here for at least 5 years most Saturdays. If you've tried the rest I think it's time to try the best.

There food is always on point and full of flavour, with great portion sizes.

Used to be a regular, not a customer from tonight, they answered and said 1 minute, kept me waiting for 14 minutes on the phone so I had to hang up. Tried to ring back still no answer 25 minutes after I hung up. Won’t be using them again.

We recently tried Codnor Tandoori for the first time and were impressed. There is a great choice of dishes, the order was delivered promptly and the food was excellent. The price was much less than we were expecting too. Our friend is coeliac and the person taking the order was able to advise on allergy information and provide a suitable meal.

I'm 8 years old I have pizza ham pineapple chips and masala sauce I love it here they always give e Lolly pop as well very nice people I'm ordering my food to night as well I get one every weekend

My husband and I have been ordering from here for over 20 years and have not had a bad experience yet. My husband has pizza and I have the curry. Absolutely our favourite place. We have moved out of the area and tried other s but still travel to Codnor for our takeaways as others do not compare. The best customer service too. Fully recommend!

Had a lamb pudina curry last night and it just tasted like a lamb stew,very disappointed.

Order tonight 1 pizza didn't turn up and the garlic bread was cold and they have just bought the one that they didn't bring and guess what it wasn't what we ordered and so asked for my money back and I don't think I got what I paid out as haven't got the price list as think I paid more than £7.20 this place needs to book it's ideas up as they've balls up a few times on our orders I Will Not Be Ordering again

Terrible service tonight!! Placed order on phone for them to ring me back to CHECK the order minutes later, delivered a large pizza short but paid in full on delivery, rung shop they said they will send it out although no fresh chips or garlic bread offered which was obviously ordered to eat alongside the pizza. When it arrived it was WRONG ordered basic cheese tomato and mushroom for it to come cold and covered in chicken too, we don't eat chicken!! Gave back to driver and asked for refund of said pizza he said he had no money, phoned shop back whilst driver was still here was told he would give me £7.20 I'm certain I paid more than this as mushrooms are extra so was ripped off on refund as well as being lied to by driver on top of being disappointed we didn't get to eat this evening as by this time it was 10.30 pm won't use again which is a shame as I'm a regular customer and do enjoy their pizza. Completely dissatisfied 😡
