Cod Loves A Fryer in Sunderland

Arrived an hour late , rang twice to be told he’s just left 🤷‍♂️

Have used 3 times now and the fish, both haddock and cod were excellent, decent chips as well. My wife usually gets fish bites, which again we're very good and a decent portion size. We always pre-order and everyone is more or less ready when you arrive to pick up.

Overcharged for order, once the mistake was rectified I was given a kebab with no garlic sauce or pitta bread. Poor service

Bought fish and chips twice... The fish in particular was beautiful with a lovely crisp batter..... Staff are very pleasant

Tried here for the first time tonight & it's definitely worth a visit... Firstly the negative stuff. 1) The curry sauce comes in two sizes, tiny & small. Please get some bigger pots! 2) Dip the sausage (insert joke) in more batter pls. 3) The cheese pattie needs more/stronger cheese! Now the good stuff.... 1) Staff are excellent. Very friendly & helpful. 2) Chips are perfect & good size portion. 3) I was given a separate portion of batter in its own little bag. I can't stress how much I love this! Batter makes a chippy & this was awesome.. On the whole I'd definitely go back & recommend. Couple of things to work on to get 5*, well done though 👍👍

Ordered a mix grill kebab and cod loves a fryer spicy special pizza. Where do I start? The menu states the kebab is cooked on a charcoal grill but when I asked how much longer it would be, I was told it would be another 5-6 minutes as the meat needs to go through twice, then I seen the meat being dished out of a pizza pan into a foil tray so had obviously just been put through the pizza oven!!!!! Salad was shocking, swimming in water and for how long?? Pizza dough was mushy and the amount of grease on hands after picking up a slice and in the bottom of the pizza box totally put us off, not to mention what I thought was a hair in my mouth when eating the pizza turned out to be a long thin piece of plastic/polythene!!! Will definitely not be back there.......ever!

Shocking customer service. Only received half my order, I rang straight up within a minute to be told they were closed now, Even thought it stated on the menu they were open for another hour. The woman I spoke too was unhelpful and rude.

Ripped me off took money off my stepdaughter for a wrap that they new they couldn't make they think its fine to just rip people off not happy at all i work hard and you think you can just rip me off well nar its not going happen
