Booked a caravan here at short notice, booked on the Tuesday and arrived the Thursday, the park is very clean and tidy, booked the prestige pet friendly caravan with a cot provided for my 1 year old, easy check in and the caravan was spotless on arrival, comfortable and very clean, plenty of space and a deck at the front, plenty of areas to walk the dog costal walk or up the quiet country road leading into the site, all the staff were great and very friendly and the warden was super helpful and let us check out alot later than planned which was ideal as we were going to Blackpool on the last day so saved us packing everything in the car, overall experience was great and the weather helped too. Would definitely return for another short Westcoast break with the family, blackpool, moecambe and Lancaster are only a short journey away from the park so plenty todo

What a beautiful place to go on your holiday. The site is clean and quiet. My kids especially loved the outdoor pools and the entertainment in the bar. The food at the pub was excellent . The bar not open all day but this had no effect on us. Your not far from morecambe garstang or lancaster for days out. We'll worth a visit if you like a quieter holiday than your haven sites. Can't wait to visit again.

Would not stay here again limited opening times for shop!!! If you can call it that as it sells practically nothing the clubhouse is closed tues and Wed doesn't open until 3pm and closes at 7pm on Sundays even in peak season and its not clean smells foisty needs fumigating the outside toilets are filthy and a health hazard the food is eatable but overpriced low standard pub grub with 4 options as for the children's play area I wouldn't let my dog play in there it's dirty and hardly anything for them to play on the pool is small but seemed clean enough, our caravan was good it was clean no complaints there. Its a remote site with nothing else to do the so called beach is a dangerous bog with grass and it's an estuary, the site is understaffed who seemed to struggle to serve people the entertainment on Friday and Saturday night was OK more like a working man's club though, there is obviously a good few owner's on the site who are prioritised over guests a rather rough element, obviously wouldn't recommend Cockerham sands and will NOT return.

I booked this site based on the images shown on Hoseasons, I called in advance to enquire about an early check in and was advised to call the day before and this could be sorted. I called the day before and was told I could check in at 1pm instead of 3pm, when i arrived at 1 pm I was told they do not offer early check in and he was unsure as to why someone told me we could check in early, this left us waiting 2 hours to be able to check in with nothing to do on site given that the bar didn't open until 3pm. When we finally arrived at the booked caravans we found that they looked nothing like the images online and it was actually far smaller than the accommodation shown in the online pictures. I challenged this with the onsite management and was told that the images online aren't controlled by them and to call Hoseasons, as I thought Hoseasons confirmed that it is the site that sends all the information to Hoseasons to be advertised and so it was the park that controls the images. The management onsite didn't offer any resolution and simply didn't seem to care about the issue, all he told me was they couldn't offer alternate accommodation as they were fully booked, no offer of any sort of refund for providing the incorrect accommodation arose. Whilst the stay at this park was as expected in all other aspects, given that the accommodation shown online doesn't always seem to line up with what you will receive I would never book this park again as I feel let down and a little ripped off.

Just returned from a fabulous mid week break to Cockerham Sands where we had the pleasure of staying in the nicest caravan I've ever set foot in! Clean, spacious and very modern, the kitchen was well equipped with loads of cupboard space, a brilliant cooker/hob and a full size fridge freezer. First rental caravan I've stayed in that has an en suite to the master bedroom and a walk in wardrobe too! The broadband was through a modem that was in the caravan and the TV was able to link directly to Netflix and other apps, no issues with connectivity for all the family. We went with 2 teenagers who made full use of the WiFi! We took our 2 dogs with us and they enjoyed the long walks out on the beach between the tides although they required a full wash before being allowed back in the caravan as it's more mud than sand! The Lancashire Coastal Way passes the front of the site however it does pass through many fields that have herds of cows you have to walk through. Another benefit to the layout of our caravan was the separate hallway with a door to the kitchen/lounge/dining area which meant that overnight we could put the dogs on their cushions there to prevent them sneaking up on the sofas. Also a good area to dry them down so they couldn't get muck onto the carpets. Our caravan also benefitted from a balcony/decked area through french doors at the front with a table and 2 chairs which turned out to be a suntrap on the one day it didn't rain!! Site staff were very friendly and helpful and the kids loved the pool which was nice and heated, good job really as the weather has been awful. The site itself was well maintained and clean and it is clear that the majority of caravans are owned as opposed to rented, the residents I spoke to were friendly. We bought enough food and drink to see us through our stay, however I don't think the restaurant was open during our midweek stay. The bar closed early which for me personally was fine.....we came for peace and quiet! The site is a good way from anywhere, we travelled in to Galgate for a takeaway night on our last night which is quite a long round trip, especially when the entry road is narrow and single track in most places. Overall we loved it and will definitely come back, we will book probably directly with the site as they offer discount.....would recommend for those looking for peace and quiet! PS apology for messy kitchen photo, I'd just cooked tea!

The caravan we booked is not the caravan we received, it was far smaller in every aspect and, after speaking with check in staff, it would seem they post stock photos of caravans on the website that don't always resemble what they actually offer. We were also granted 1pm check in 24 hours prior to check in over the phone but when we arrived at 1pm we were told this wasn't allowed and shouldn't have been granted so we were left sat with a car full of groceries for 2 hours. We had a pleasant stay and the staff were absolutely lovely and friendly but a definite disappointing start.

Used to be a great place to holiday. The number if empty pitches keeps going up (since the new company took over a couple years ago). Bar is shut by 1030 weekend nights sometimes. Caravans are atill decent (though not a fan of the horrid green ones they are trying to sell). To make it worse the site has had a new Warden recently (Q2 2023)who frankly will be the death of this place, he spends more time complaining about every little thing rather than doing his job (such as changing the blatently dead plants that are outside the office/bar). Many long time residents are looking at leaving due to how much the place has deteriorated.

Fantastic country drive into site beautiful area. Great stay here caravans where stunning, staff at reception and bar where fantastic. The pools great and had a bbq on next to it. Shop on site has all your essentials and incredibly cheap (although no alcohol). Bar is also not a rip off. Theres a soft play in the bar bit aswell and a little arcade. All in all a great place to spend a few days. Only snag was an extremely aggressive resident claiming my family walked through his garden although there is no signs or fences language and aggression from this couple was disgusting never experienced this on any other caravan site there was no need for there behaviour. Would of been 5/5 apart from that incident, Thank you for a great stay.

We had some food which was basic but good.the shop had basics. This place is central to blackpool fleetwood, morcombe and the lakes..we really enjoyed our self's. Our age groups late 50's, 30's and a 3 yr old..I will return..a car is a must. The lane going in is big enough with pull in points at regular intervals..give it a go

We came as a family of 5, 3 young children for 7 nights. We have had an amazing holiday. Our caravan was absolutely spotless. Very spacious and modern. Free WiFi and had Netflix on the TV. Decking on the patio which was an added bonus. Upon arrival we realised there was only entertainment on a Friday and Saturday which was disappointing as we hoped for something to entertain the kids each night....not to fault the entertainment though, the acts were brilliant. Never used the outdoor pool as it was too cold so cannot comment on that. Local shop never had much (basic needs) and closes at 5pm so make sure you being everything you need as the shops are miles away. We liked that the shop was everything pricemarked so you know your not getting ripped off. We are 50min drive from Blackpool so we drove into their a few days/nights for something to do. Was lovely to see all the lights and plenty to do there. Overall we had a great time..kids loved the beach!!! We wouldn't book again as we like to try new places but I would recommend it to anyone. Unfortunately the caravan we staid in wasn't great. Dirty with rubbish left in the seats, plates and cutlery unclean and someone's left out of date food in the cupboards. The arcade area consists of 6 arcade machines with the usual tat for prizes and never seams to be open. Nice rock pools for kids to paddle in when the tide is out. Good for beachcombing and bird spotting. Even when the tide is in there's a bit of beach/marshy sands you can walk on near the parking area at the entrance to the caravan park. There's an information board at the abbey that is worth a read - the ruins are interesting and there's a nice view of the lighthouse. The abbey door has never been open when I've visited but I gather you can go inside sometimes. The paths are good with a few kissing gates - it'd be tricky with a pram though, I think. Also the field around the abbey gets boggy and sometimes there's cows in it. You can see Heysham one way and Pilling and Fleetwood the other - the views are pleasant and photogenic. It's a lovely sun trap in the summer, but it can be gusty, cold, and bleak in the winter. No bins, benches or facilities of any kind. Looses a star for the lack of parking - there's only space for about 8 cars and whilst it's not hugely popular we've often just managed to grab the last parking space, even out of season. Well worth a visit and something of a hidden gem - its more interesting than Pilling Amenities and more rustic than Glasson Dock.

Clean quiet place owners are lovely and friendly not the place if you want slots and rowdy crowds it has a club and a kids room .you have to drive to explore the area but theres plenty within short drive radius.

Great family orientated caravan site only downfall is the road to get to this place is very long and narrow winding and badly maintained drive slowly !!!!!!!

The delivery driver went to the wrong place and the drinks turned up with about a 3rd of the drink missing.

Visited July 2024 and was disappointed by the quality of the food. I ordered arribita and not sure how long the pasta had been cooked for but it was sloppy and falling apart other half ordered a burger that was served cold, he didn't want to send it back as it would just be reheated. Would not recommend this as a place to eat.

Expected very basic and it is, extremely basic, clean, but all very tired. Staff initially helpful however, Room has no main light. Bedside light has faulty connection flashing on and off, clearly unsafe - Staff disinterested will send electrician in the morning - no other room available - I’ve been driving all day and not well, refund has to be processed blah

mint sauce was spicy? never used to be,the tandoori chicken legs, must of come from the desert, as they were very dry, chicken korma was great, but the garlic chicken bhuna was not the greatest, and the chicken chat was ok. not sure if they have changed chefs..but overall tonight it's a 6/10
