No comimos allí.

🚇 Bank 🍺 £6.30 Moretti Just a short walk from Bank Tube you will find the @cockandwoolpack . This pub is tucked away down a quiet narrow side street just off Cornhill. I arrived at midday on a Monday lunchtime and it was pretty quiet as there was just me and two other lady’s in attendance. I was served by a welcoming chap behind the bar, I ordered a Moretti which was a nice pint and just over six quid. For the more cultured drinker, there were three cask ales available. This is a cosy little boozer that has a pleasant feel to it. The decor here is traditional, there is a wooden floor which is complimented by wood wall panelling, lots of mirrors to make the place feel bigger and a tartan carpet to complete the look. . This @shepherdneame pub has a lovely calm feel to it and is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of City life. .

From J Boy of Derby Nothing wrong with this pub, but nothing outstanding. Traditional rather old fashioned city pub serving a variety of Shepherd Neame beers that are well kept. Gets very busy at peak times with people spilling over in the street outside. I went mid afternoon early in the week to escape the rain and it was much quieter.didnt have time for lunch so can't comment on the food. This pub is very close to the Bank if England and Royal Exchange.

We went in about 5.30pm last Monday before going for a meal. It was very quiet for a city pub. Shepherd Neame owned so I had a couple of pints of Spitfire which were ok. Clean and tidy apart from the scruffy barman with his jeans hanging down. I won't be rushing back especially with some good pubs nearby.

Located in a small lane behind the Bank of England, this pub has a small frontage and inside goes back a long way. Owned by Shepherd Neame it offers a number of their Kentish real ales. The whole front and bar area is standing only with a few high tables and bar stools, further back there are more traditional tables but due to the small size the pub can get very full very quick, especially after work where is is very popular with office workers and others who know of its existence - it’s not a pub you’d go to unless you knew it was there. The interior is mainly modern wood panelling so not particularly old but it’s a good little pub for a drink off the beaten track.

I was staying around the corner and looking for a place to watch a world cup game. Plenty of TVs strategically positioned to watch from many seats. I have been to many pubs in England and thus was traditional yet clean and neat.

An ok place for a pint. Really busy inside and took a while to get served. Prices average. Packed inside and quite a few standing outside. Really cold so we moved on. Ok to visit on a less busy time.

Bien hecho.

The classic London city pub, with a traditional feel and good ales on tap. My only request is for a window shelf you can actually rest your pint on.

There really aren't many places like this left in the City, as most have been replaced with trendy wine/cocktail bars or chain pubs/bars (Withers / The D&M; etc..). Serves a good selection of beers, staff always friendly.

A propper bolt hole boozer, execellent tucked away position, so only those I the know who seek a traditional old city pub serving decent ale need apply, no riff raff either, always a friendly crowd from the nearby markets, front window opens when the weather allows so plenty of air when it begins to warm in the summer, wood panelled bar is a treat, lots of fun had in here over the years, a real favourite.

Tucked down one of many little streets in the busy Banking and Insurance area. Very small But seems to cope when rammed. Staff are quick to spot the next customer. Good Shepherd Neame ales on tap. Love a new barrel of Whitstable Bay when it is on. Summer or even winter - people spill on to small road it is on. Inside the window area has an authentic old look. Perhaps the only surviving part? But generally this is a modern looking place. Try mid afternoon early in the week for a quieter atmosphere.

It's a pub that I first went to over 20 years ago when I got my first job in the City. It's not bad, good range of beers, nice pub grub and appears quite light and airy because of the big front window. The only problem is the old girl behind the bar who insists that there's nothing wrong with their wi-fi and that it "works for her". Just re-set the box please!! First rule of IT - turn it off and then turn it on again. Or if that's not the problem then get it fixed. And don't tell people to go and stand by the front window as it seems to work better there - that's 3G or 4G!!!

As has been mentioned, nothing overly special about this traditional pub. Decent range of beers, plenty of seats inside. Lunchtime food is nothing special - good sarnies with some chips. If you're nearby quicker to be served, bit quieter (especially at the back). Good place for a lunchtime pint and a bite to eat in the square mile In the warmer weather it'll appear busier at the front as people crowd round the window. .

A typical, traditional pub with city goers having a beer and chatting. The only complaint is the music is overly loud for such a small place. It is very difficult to have a conversation because when your not trying to shout over the music, you are trying to shout over others shouting over the music. Many seem to hover outside just so they can hear each other!

Nothing amazingly special about this place to be honest. But if you fancy a cheeky, and quiet pint in the square mile, you could do worse than pop in here.Could do with a bit of a 'tart up'.If you can, sit in the front by the window.

Not bad as city pubs go, ideally you want to sit in the big front window as can get stuffy inside. It seems to have a good selection of ales and beers. The Guinness I had was fine!

The food here isn't too bad and the ale choice is good. The Tuna and lemon mayonnaise sandwich with chips was well executed. My work colleagues thought their sausage and mash was plentiful and tasty. The sausage was clearly of good quality!!It's a pub for city folk and has good steady trade during the week showing that people that work around here like this pub.
