Kelly has got this place firing on all cylinders.

A lot more reasonable than the last time called in albeit a few years back. But the wooden decor is not very inviting.

This place has been turned around and despite negative reviews about the pub being bare and lacking atmosphere, I can vouch as a local that this is sincerely untrue. This pub has a friendly atmosphere and the locals and staff are fun to be around, warm and welcoming and a pleasure to call most of them close friends. The management have listened to the regulars and paid attention to comments and recommendations from their punters. Keep up the good work guys!

Doesn't serve food.The walls are bear, no curtains. It feels souless with No atmosphere.

Big improvement under New Management compared to the last one. Had a lads night out in there the other week for Disco Night, very welcoming with friendly locals and staff. Hope the management put the Saturday night disco on a regular basis. We went in early afternoon and Disco wasn't supposed to start till 8pm, but great it started early because it really made the night, Thank you.

First time been in for a few years Pleased to see a traditional pub. Nice surroundings and clean (very important) New young landlady Good luck to her. Hope she makes it work

No ham sandwiches but the beer mats were freshly placed and the in house jazz band were very good

It was quiet but it was a Wed's afternoon. The pub is looking great inside. The staff and ale were great. I hope it does well its the last pub in this area.

It's a decent pub I visited The Cockbeck 2 weeks ago after 5 years absent it's lovely but ! No Internet and I don't use pubs or bar without Internet if I'm paying for expensive drinks

It smells its not clean will not be going in there ever again

God, the staff are decent but the place is a mess. It absolutely stinks. Everything is filthy.

Back in to my local since last year, what a great pint of John Smith's.

I like it, beer is good and nice selection of lagers

Very good carvery. Just be careful which size you order. And, you can take home whatever you can't eat there.

Staff and Kevin the landlord are friendly and make you more than welcome.

Good ale at a good price and pleasant surroundings
