Cobbs Corner Cafe in Lewisham

Rude and disrespectful staff members who couldn’t care less about their customers. I’m not one to leave reviews but after my recent altercation with 2 of the staff members in Cobbs Corner, I just had to. I came in and was immediately greeted with an angry face telling me ‘kitchen closes in 10 so you’re gonna have to hurry’, and was then told ‘nah, juice machines off so I can’t make any juices’. If these things were said with a decent attitude, I wouldn’t have minded. But the body language and general attitude of the girl serving me was terrible. In the end I told her to scrap the order, to which she shrugged her shoulders and said ‘fine’. Her colleague who was enjoying her lunch at the other side of the cafe decided to pipe up and say ‘she doesn’t have to smile for you’. All of this infront of other customers who are trying to enjoy their coffee. Honestly, I came in here for some lunch, not a fight with two of the staff members on a Wednesday afternoon. Really terrible service from two people who shouldn’t be working in customer service if they think it’s not important to smile.

The food is AMAZING! I had the smoked mackerel with poached eggs. I was doing my food jiggle whilst eating it. I didn't even know what I wanted but it hit the spot soooooo precisely!

I use to come to this cafe quite a lot a few months ago as I moved to the area however I have noticed the vibe in there is completely off. The staff has changed which is an utter shame because they made the atmosphere so much better. The coffee is weak and it depends on who is working. The Indian girl doesn’t serve you she waits for you to come to her. After 25 minutes of waiting in an empty coffee shop I left feeling very disappointed. She was on her phone the whole time. Do better Cobbs corner.

Cobb’s Corner is a total home from home. Judy and her team are so friendly and the menu is so yummy and flexible. They treat all their customers like old or new friends and I really look forward to going there - whether to grab a coffee, have a lovely light meal or just do a zoom in the corner. Well worth a visit .

Very impressed with my first visit: fantastic service and pleasant atmosphere. The halloumi brunch was excellent! Nice place to watch the world go by.

Visited here for lunch and opted for the creamy mushroom special with poached eggs, rocket and Parmesan on sourdough toast together with a side salad - all of which arrived in good time, hot and tasty, accompanied with a nice cup of black Americano coffee. Prices are reasonable and offer good value for money nice varied menu selections with different specials frequently added. Service was prompt and polite. Have frequented here before and will continue to do so when passing by.

Great Coffee & gorgeous jerk-chicken, rice & peas with side salad. Ordered also for my husband Curry Goat with Rice & peas. Food was well seasoned and full of flavour. Reasonable priced & good size portions. Will definitely order from CCC again.
