Food and drinks are OK. What you would expect from a tiny kitchen in a small venue. Good enough for quick sandwich-based meals. Quite nice for tea/coffee though. It used to be an excellent venue for families with small children and breastfeed, but they remove all that area to expand the second-hand bussiness. Bad move in my opinion.

It is the ideal location for a nice cup of coffee in Colchester Town. sitting in the very pleasant grave yard on a summers morning. In side the church is also well worth a visit with plenty of goods, new and second hand for sale.

Would recommend this cafe for its friendly service great venue and excellent food ,such a nice place in the centre of town away from the throngs of people rushing around outside , so give it trumpet time you are in town ...

After a bit of shopping we were looking for somewhere for lunch and came across Poppy's. Very quaint little tea room set out very nice with 50s music playing in the background with lots of old 50s posters and pictures on the walls. We ordered coffees, my with having black and me a caramel latte which was extremely nice. We both ordered sandwiches,my wife having tuna mayo with red onion and me having a club sandwich of chicken, bacon, lettuce, tomato and mayo. The sandwich was then lightly toasted. They were both very well presented and were very tasty. Would highly recommend this lovely little tea room!!

This was a lovely pretty tea room overlooking the high street. The staff were friendly and pleasant. The lunch menu was very varied and the food we ordered was of a very good standard.

This fish & chip shop came highly recommended. So was disappointed on Saturday evening receiving totally tasteless halloumi in a wrap & dry chicken as another part of the order. We most likely won’t be returning which is a real shame
