Clock Tower Fish 'n' Chips in East Lindsey

Delicious cook to order fish and chips. Using fresh oil. At first we walked past it, but as it's winter season there's not many other places open, but it really surprised us with the fresh and tasty fish and chips

First time and ordered 4 x Cod & Chips and chips were cooked perfect and fish was lovely. Would definitely recommend to try. Portions were big and food was piping hot

Ordered haddock and chips plus onion rings. The onion rings tasted as if theyd benn cooked in old oil and were overcooked. The chips were dried out and I doubt they seen a deep fryer. The haddock was paper thin with greasy batter. Altogether, a waste of money and very unpalatable. Never again

The staff are very friendly, the man that's always in there remembers us everytime we go in, if our kids and grandkids aren't with us he will ask us how they are. The portions are very big, the food is great, the prices are cheap too and there's a big variety of food. He checks to make sure you have enough of whatever you want/ need like sauces, gravies etc. It's a small place but has seating inside and outside. Highly recommended.

Wish there were more stars to give we come to skegness every year but it's the first time we've tried this fish&chip shop but it won't be the last we even managed to get it delivered to a caravan park aswell. Maximum stars

This fish and chips shop is located in a street full of fish and chips shops, all bigger and some much louder (if you know you know) so it was quite a dilemma to figure out in which one we were going to get our first Skegness fish and chip. We chose the Clocktower and really enjoyed the food served here. We ordered three haddock & chips and one 4 cod pieces & chips and everything was ready at the same time, piping hot and delicious. The fish was fresh and tasty, plenty of fish and plenty of chips, and the batter was crisp and perfect! And a good price too! Very small shop but a few tables inside and more outside to eat there, and the "do not feed birds" rule works as we were able to eat outside in peace. The staff was very helpful. We were surprised to see that the cod was more expensive than the haddock (in our local chippies, it tends to be the other way round) and the member of staff explained that cod cuts are bigger than haddock cuts in their shop, you get more fish when you order cod than haddock here, so their pricing reflects that. Our food was delicious and as we ate, we saw more and more local people come and collect their takeaway orders. So it may not be the flashiest fish and chips in town but it certainly is worth a visit!

Absolutely sublime find, late at night when everywhere else was closed. Summary: Probably the best chips I've tasted in a long time, they were cooked to order, and absolutely cooked to perfection. Very minor grease, piping hot (even 25 minutes after leaving) and in all honesty, it's hard to critique this visit. We also tried the kinder Bueno milkshake. Absolutely brilliant, £4 sounds like a lot, but you've got to try it to actually appreciate just how good it was, and yes, it was well worth the £4. We will be returning, 100%. Absolutely brilliant.

The food is cooked to order.. its lovely.. his chicken and his pots of curry sauce are very tasty.. the fish is very fresh.. and he gives good portions. I would give him extra stars if I could.. he is very polite.. the prices are good too.. well worth a visit.

absolutely stunning! big up the guy who cooked 14 CHICKEN WINGS from SCRATCH! they were absolutely delightful and if i lived here i would go here everyday for their hot wings. it is very affordable and clean. the food is very fresh and beautiful.

Only place we could find open when we left the cinema and what a great find. Very friendly staff, shop was lovely and clean and food was cooked to order. Haddock & chips and cod & chips for under £15 and absolutely massive portions. Everything was piping hot and cooked to perfection and we even got free tatare sauce. Will definitely come back again.

Visited here because of their deep fried mars bar. It was nicer than I expected. Their Tartare Sauce was sublime and went really with the Fish & Chips. Service was a bit slow and customer service a bit lackluster. They didn't have much of the items on the menu on sale. Other than that it's a decent place to grab a quick chippy.

OK guys... I know it don't look much but my mum lives in Ingoldmells have tried a fair few fish n chips thier.. This my first the at the clock tower and man o man was I shocked... Amazing the price for starters. Chips brilliant fish fresh cooked what can you ask for... Curry sauce I hear you say lol gravy... Well I had both and wow wow wow I didn't like it I loved it lol... Real Chinese curry sauce and gravy that tasted like gravy a novel idea I know but yes it did taste like proper gravy that you could stand your spoon in.. Well don't trust me try yourselves 😁

Lovely but if fish and nice chips. A couple of things on the menu they didn't do/have and there was no bins but other than that a great place to go for chippy tea.

Ordered of just eat took over 1hafe hour to get hear it wos cold when it come gravy wos horrible and asked for it to be I paper but come in box went in the bin as it wos horrible

Popped in on the off chance and I'm soo glad I did definitely the best fish and chips in skeg. Had a proper saveloy and cheesy chips for a fiver all freshly cooked and I will definitely be calling again. Thank you

One of only a couple of places that stay open late for typical fish & chips meals. Cannot argue with the price at all, especially in current conditions. Less than a tenner for a fish, chips and a peas/sauce is top value. The size of the portion is also more than generous, and it didn't taste bad at all. The combo offers of wrap, chips & drink or burger, chips & drink is very reasonable in terms of price too. Justeat option is available for deliveries. Staff were extremely friendly. Seating available both inside and out. Would definitely return.

First time ordering from here, the service, food and delivery was perfect also you get plenty for your money, we will definitely be ordering again.

As this was one of the few Halal food shops in Skegness, my family and I visited this chip shop whilst we were at Skegness for a few days. The food was amazing at this chip shop and the prices and portions were great. We really enjoyed the food and visited the shop a few times. The owner was lovely as well and always greeted us with a smile.

Top tier stuff chicken burgers are absolutely banging everything cooked fresh and run by really nice guys.

OK fish and chips that aren't that expensive considering where it is. Fish was relatively big but the batter needed cooking longer, tons of chips.

Ordered 2 cod and chips and 2 mini fish and 2 curry sauce was left gobsmacked at the appalling service we received on another customer touching the actual food of our order when we asked for another one as someone not in our party had put their hand on top of the fish and chips in the tray was sworn at by the cook who got very angry very quickly as he never seen it so it didn't happen...there was also children present so not exactly the behaviour to represent a business I felt sorry for the lady having to work with this 'man'. Disgusting behaviour

We ate here...fish was beautiful, light crisp batter,soft fresh flaky cod,seaside tasting chips...sat outside and ate them...very nice..very polite staff..and not expensive..👍

OK describes this place. £7 odd for Small fish, and small portion of chips. Nothing brilliant about them or the price, you can get better elsewhere if you are prepared to walk. Some miserable looking staff too. 😂

Only eat fish and chips when in skegness and only buy it from these guys. Best chippy by far, pleasant staff great food.

Tasty battered sausage cooked on order

Slow service, not much taste to fish bites and chips also very greasy. Had to ask member of staff to do a table clean which was then only done half heartedly leaving remnants of fish still on table. Wish hadn’t have bothered. Also nowhere to dispose of waste when finished.

"The Best" fish & chips around and a great location, close to the beach, the Skeggy Clock Tower and nice walk around the town or esplanade with views over the seafront and pier. A short walk to everywhere around the centre of Skegness, the gardens and parks, with ample parking close by.

Long wait for burnt chips, far too expensive for what I got.

AVOID Ordered fish chips twice and 3 children's meals , waited 15 mins for us to receive food that was already on the hot plates when I placed the order , fish full of fat, batter tasted awful not cooked properly , children's meal cold , fish and chips was part of a meal deal that came with a drink but was not offered a drink , children's meal came with beans / gravy/curry sauce/mushy peas again not offered as part of the meal , horrible. I should of asked for my money back .

Great little place. Chips were cooked there and then so they are fresh and hot, so they've not sat under a heater or anything. Very friendly service and cheap. Just down from one of the main car parks so there isn't a long way to walk if your hungry or you've had a long journey.
