This is the sign on display in the entrance. Told when ordering a drink it was members only. When I mentioned the sign I was then served anyway by the elderly lady behind the bar. Policies as incoherent as the Tory party itself. Having pointed out the sign a few weeks ago, it’s STILL there! 🤦‍♂️

We had my father's wake here. The staff were so kind and empathetic. They looked after us very well and the buffet was lovely, beautiful cakes. They went above and beyond for us and we're all very grateful. Thank you Tim and the team.

Great place to go dancing when Mark is playing the music. Great place to go to for meetings of the U3A S&T group.

I booked Christmas lunch for 31 . The choice of meals are very good, even duck leg with cherries. Everyone enjoyed the meals they chose. Even comes with complimentary mince pie & coffee. Well done to Tim & all his team.

Amazing and friendly staff very welcoming atmosphere and great value

Have visited this venue over a number of years, and always received friendly service in both the lounge bar and the sportsbar. The sports bar features 3 large tv screens each showing a different sports event, plus a pool table. There is also a skittles alley, a snooker room, and large function room and a smaller meeting room available for hire. Outside, there is a smoking area plus outdoor seating and tables, with hanging flower baskets adjourning the walls. As this venue is a club, you'll find prices are lower than nearby pubs. I believe non-members are welcome but check with the venue to make sure.

We were there for a birthday party. Meal was nice and hot albeit we waited quite a while for it. The venue itself can accommodate quite a few more than the 60+we had. Bar device was good. They had lots of staff on to assist. Staff were friendly & helpful.

We visited for a friends 80th afternoon tea. Good venue, excellent service ,gorgeous traditional afternoon tea with sandwiches and scones clotted cream and jam ..and a real thumbs up for the gluten free - rolls and home made scones from our daughter. They came round frequently and brought fresh pots of tea and coffee. The bar downstairs was reasonable ,and there is a stairlift to upstairs venue hall if needed.

Very reasonably priced food and drink. Slightly colder in the winter months, but the staff are great and very friendly. Would recommend to others for a simple lunch.

Went to a party in upper hall. Comfortable surroundings with beautiful food courteously and efficiently served.

Brilliant atmosphere and value for money. Very friendly staff. Ordered BLT and it came with a side of chips and salad. Very well presented 👍

Attend this place for bfvbc for the first time it was really nice, the people there were really friendly, it was clean and tidy, and a well place venue to attend.

Great staff and a nice quiet atmosphere for a drink

Greayclub in the summer months sat in the Garden area. Sadley the plants have gone which is a shame afyer spending so much money in the first place. Sadly In the winter months due to the amount of TVs you can't go any where in this club with out there being a Tv on. A real pitty the up stairs room is not used often these fays may be this is down to the amount SKY TV are charging the club for Sky Sports between £12.000 - £14.000 shocking that's proberly why the membership has gone up this year to pocket SKY T V

A very good club to be a member of. Lots of things going on both in and out of the club. Fine beer, good company and comfortable surroundings.

Went to my sister's wedding reception meal there and the food was really good and the staff couldn't do enough for everyone so well done them we all had a fantastic time on the day and the evening 🙂

Security at the front desk , if your name's not down you're not coming in. Nice to see both bar's serving , pool table dart board , outside sitting area for the one or two smokers with heat .

OK they came through . Problem solved and apology accepted . Went back in there and didn't find the element I had previously . The club is spacious with many facilities , the menus look excellent . There is a skittle alley , 3 snooker tables a fantastic function room , lounge bar and a sports bar with pool table . Extremely impressed by dzcilities there . Needless to say we shall be joining now .

What a find! Good food, cheap beer, 2 bars, skittle alley, snooker room, very large function room and they've even got a garden! There's no need for me to geo anywhere else - ever!
