Unfortunately the gammon was really not nice, hard to chew and hard to cut , bit to well done .chips was ok. Drink ok.

Pleasantly surprised with how good the food has been here recently. Tried it again after a few visits in the past where to food and service wasn't great. Have come back regularly now as food has improved and is lovely and the staff are efficient.

Staff polite and efficient, no real delays, but the table staff kept us informed at all stages. The food was good, overall very impressed.

Amazing food and cosy environment

Experience was not very good. The food was poor quality chicken tenders were anything but! Took ages for food to come.

Staff are all very nice. If I had to make a criticism it would be that the vegetables are cooked a little too much for me.

Keira was,as always great and cheerful and welcoming. It's because of the great people that we keep coming back!

A wonderful night with friends. Fabulous food

We attended on Monday night. Food was lovely as per. Service was shocking bad there was a lady who was managing the tables just ignored everyone. She would look over clean up dirty tables but not come over ask if we needed any assistance. Awful. I find this a lot with the landing light the service is always awful.

We had a lady called Martina serve us today. We came with our family to celebrate my husbands birthday. She was very attentive, super helpful and efficient. She had great customer service and very good plate holding skills, especially hot heavy plates!

The Landing Light is a really nice place to stop off and have either a drink or some food. The staff are happy to help and answer any questions you may have. Booking ahead is advance is good idea as it can get very busy. They also do Sundays roasts and booking ahead is definitely recommended

The food was lovely, the steaks were cooked to perfection. My only moan is we waited nearly 15 minutes for our first drink to arrive at the table. But it was a busy evening

Staff are exceptionally friendly and courteous. Food is well presented, hot and excellent value too. Atmosphere is very comfortable/homely ambiance to sit in. The vegan curry from the mains menu is one of my favourites-very well presented. Faultless dining experiences every time we go - don’t change a thing!

Food was fantastic, had the home made kebab. Paul was a fantastic host, he was very friendly and kind.

Arrived early for our booking but they were still able to accommodate us, which was good. Nice quiet table as requested. Staff were great, but they had run out of Sunday roasts and several other dishes, which was really disappointing. Ordered the cauliflower wings and cheesy garlic bread to start. Disappointed that the garlic bread was microwaved not baked with absolute minimal cheese. The cauliflower wings were terrible quality. Mostly stalk. Not floret! One piece was completely inedible. We then had fish and chips which was okish. Drinks wise it was a shame the diet tonic is on draft as we weren't able to read a label to see if it's totally sugar free. Many tonics aren't. Lack of Guinness zero was surprising. Overall it was a mixed experience. Like I say the staff were lovely but the food was poor to average. I do like the LL pub but you've clearly got to book for early in the day if you want a Sunday lunch.

We had a meal last Friday evening. The food was tasty and the service from Emily was excellent, she was friendly, welcoming and perfect in her timings. We didn't feel rushed nor were we waiting ages. A absolute credit to your team!

Had the Turkey Sunday lunch it was terrible, I ate the Parsnips and Yorkshire pudding, 1 roast potato, pushed the rest to one side of the plate and sent it back, I told the waitress it was very bad and did not get a response.

Emily was great, she managed to serve a huge booking effectively and alway with a smile, the food was fab , thank you for a lovely experience

Waited 20min for waitress to come over to take order, end up ordering drinks and food by the bar. Ordered medium-well done stake, got well done hard stake. Chicken sherlock was hard and inedible! Waist of time and money! Never again!

Been a few times and service is always bad, usually having to head to the bar to order food/drinks. Foods pretty decent and it's a positive to have the childrens play area.

Food was good and wait wasn’t too long. Coffee we ordered never arrived we we had to ask them to take it off the bill. Soft drink prices are extortionate. Over £4 for a Lime and lemonade . Almost the same price as beer. We will just order tap water next time!!!!

Visited with my friend who is a new mother. Staff were very accommodating and made her feel confident to be out with her young baby. Staff were friendly and helpful, food was lovely too. Great service all round!

We had a great time catching up with friends from Cornwall. Keira our server was great, she was attentive without being intrusive. Everyone enjoyed their food. There’s just one little niggle, you don’t have Diet Coke, which isn’t a cola, and I really don’t like Pepsi, but at lest the water is free.

Went to the LandingLight for a Sunday dinner early as we all had plans later in the day. We each ordered the trio meat Sunday dinner. We asked how big the meal was and Emily said most people can't finish it. I kiddingly said we'll see. Next thing we know Emily spoke with the manager without us knowing and made my meal a challenge. This was a great surprise and I was informed not many people will be able to finish it. I think I did a pretty good job on it but I didn't finish it. Thank you Emily and your manager for arranging the challenge. That was a funny experience. From a food perspective the meat included I felt was over cooked and a bit dry. The Yorkshire pudding was big and parts seemed a bit over cooked. The veg was a bit bland but the variety was good, peas, cabbage and mangetout. Overall the experience was great and Emily was fantastic

Words fail me really . This was our fourth visit. The first was a disaster but the manager wiped our bill and asked us to try again. We had two great visits, food and service excellent . But this was totally the opposite . When the starter came I said to my husband this is a different chef as it was flung on the plate with little attention to detail . The main courses came. My husband had ordered a steak , which he’d had the last two times , medium rare . It was well done so he sent it back. My chicken in bacon was so overcooked I couldn’t cut it let alone chew it . We sent it back . The second steak was rare ! We sent it back . My second chicken was ok . Not great presentation but ok . The third steak was cooked right but cold ! My husband ate it because he was very hungry . He said it filled around in his mouth . The two servers were not apologetic and we felt like we were being a nuisance ! One of these told us she was the manager ! She did take the steak off the bill but the whole experience has completely put us off going .

Paul was delivering great service.... We were there as a party of 7 celebrating the life of my father who sadly passed in January. This was the first time the family had a chance to get together, as some live abroad. We were looked after, and weren't rushed. Would highly recommend this venue.
