We were celebrating our daughter’s 21st birthday early as she will be at university on her actual birthday. She wanted the Landing Light because of the options for her as vegetarian. Reception was excellent and we were shown to our table promptly and efficiently. We waited for all our party to arrive then wanted to order food. We waited so long I downloaded the app to order online. I tried to complete the order but was unable to as there was nowhere to enter the offer code. When the server did approach she noticed the vouchers on the table and informed us they aren’t accepted on bank holiday weekend. Not a problem. We ordered 8 main courses and 2 desserts which took 2 hours. When we finished no one approached us so we got up to vacate the table and pay at the bar. Only then did the server approach and we asked for the bill. Overall the food was mediocre and service poor. We won’t return.

Love this place, though a little expensive, luckily had a voucher for 30% off mains ! Kennyah was very attentive and remembered our order without needing to record it in any way!

The food wasn't very good and it wasn't even cheap. It was probably the worst chips I've ever eaten in a restaurant. It didn't help that there were kids screaming and running around the entire building. Sadly, lots of dog owners let their dogs use the toilet in the play area, which required the wait staff to clean up.

The staff was very friendly, Emily was very welcoming, gave us good recommendations and overall the service was a 10/10. The wait for the food wasn’t too long and the food was piping hot and very good aswell. Overall, highly recommend this place.

We were offered 30% discount on mains. We took up the offer because we really rate highly their food and in particular, the Mixed Grill. It was fabulous, in fact I can’t see any way that it can be improved upon. Very large portions of meat, juice and flavourful. The chips were superb, what else can I say, simply perfection. We had a really nice bottle of wine, a bit on the expensive side but that is the norm in restaurants. It probably negated our discount, but we thoroughly enjoyed the experience and finished the bottle at home, as you do, these days.

Staff polite and efficient, no real delays, but the table staff kept us informed at all stages. The food was good, overall very impressed.

Emily was our waitress and she was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was with a smile. My son has a peanut allergy so she made sure the food we had was peanut free. Brilliant service and lovely food.

Nice clean place but found service slow not been told it was going to be long time over half an hour,to arrive Staff friendly,don't think.its a good look manager walking around with lab top wearing shorts though personal opinion,not smart casual look when waitresses were better dressed look.

Came here last night with my friend and again with my husband tonight for our anniversary. Our waitress both nights was Shannon, she is very friendly and bubbly and made you feel welcome.

keira was really lovely and welcoming, would definitely recommend and will be coming here again.

My daughter's helped to arrange my wife's 50th birthday celebration. From the outset David are host was outstanding making all 13 of us feel at ease, even playing with children and the adults at times. David is a true asset to the Landing light team with customer service at his core. Credit to him.

Really enjoyed the evening at the landing light. Have been here a few times before but Kennyah went above and beyond to make our experience a great one. Highly recommended if you are in the area. Great food, great service, great experience :) we will be back!

Unfortunately we were a little disappointed this visit. Steak was tough and the whole meal could have been hotter. We went on Wednesday evening, it was very busy so perhaps this was why the food wasn't to the standard of our last few visits.

Fabulous staff food over priced for standard pub food

The Landing Light is a great location for an evening meal with friends and family. The staff are friendly and efficient and very polite. The menu offers a wide choice to suit all needs

Great food, a well catered for gluten free menu. The staff were superb, the price was fair, as you say you get what you pay for. What's not to like.

Website stated accepted blue light card as did the app but when it came to paying they refused it. Staff not helpfull at all had 1 different people serve and take orders none seemed happy no smile. Special menu didnt have the sauce it said it should have was changed to gravey which let it down, burger was very bland food Very overpriced for what it is there

We dined tonight as a family, and had food from the new menu. It was delicious! Paul served us and he was fantastic - such an asset to the team. We always receive such a warm welcome here, and we are always made to feel at home. Some of the other locals should definitely be taking a leaf out of the LL’s book! This is a place that never disappoints, today our server was Emily, what a lovely, cheerful and enthusiastic young lady, I would recommend the restaurant to everyone, Thank you Landing Light.

For a busy Friday night we were seated quickly. Kennyah our waitress was apologetic for the time it took for her to take our drinks order, but in reality we had only waited a few minutes. My partner only wanted a light meal, and what she fancied was a prawn salad that wasn’t on the menu, however when she asked Kennyah if she could have two prawn cocktails served on a plate as a main meal, it wasn’t a problem. The service and food were very good and well priced. The only thing that wasn’t great was the seven year olds birthday party. The kids were fairly well behaved but kids being kids were a bit loud!

Lovely staff friendly and attentive our dog loves it there and the staff too who always pop over for a chat and to say hello to the dog, the fact we are on first name terms with most of the work force says a lot we will be back again!

Some of the chairs could do with a re do. All the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Keira and Paul are so chatty and really make the experience enjoyable.

Very friendly and welcoming. Clean and tidy Good food menu. Prices were a bit above average for the size of the meals. Food was cooked to a good standard.

Very welcoming and friendly environment. The staff were lovely and chatty. The food was delicious and despite there being two large parties and being told the wait for food could be up to 40 mins, the food came promptly and was very yummy. The staff members Paul and Kenya were very funny and made the visit perfect.

Great pub with good drinks selection and good food. We had the Steak and Ale pie, which was very good. Online booking is available and worked great. Friendly staff. You can bring your dog, which is important to us. Nice outdoor area for nicer weather. Playarea for kids, which will be nice for families. For us it was too noisy, screeching kids running wild without supervision. But that's a problem of the parents not of the pub.

Staff were amazing went here for a 70th Birthday and the food and service were very good!

Food was terrible. We ordered 3 meals and each one of them was a let down. I'd go as far as to say the garlic bread was inedible. The food tasted like it was just heated in the microwave. Staff weren't particularly friendly either (a smile goes a long way). We used to love this place but it's clearly gone down hill.

Everybody was polite and courteous and all had a happy face and Emily was great and patient as I have a speech problem and I was pleased that she was patient with me

The wrong order was delivered, by the time the correct order had arrived most other people were more than ½ way through their meals. More than 1 person complained that theirs was cold, as was my veg. Both my wife and I are disabled and have difficulty in walking and yet we were taken to a table at the far end of the pub, despite asking for somewhere closer to the door. I will not be hurrying back to this pub.

Love it here, often stay at the travelodge next to it for work and always make a habit of eating here when I do

Nice pub. Greeted and shown to a nice table. Order taken for drinks, which came quickly. There was a bit of a wait for food, but it was worth waiting for.

Me, my wife and a good friend visited on the 25th June for an evening meal. We were met at the door and showed to our table. My wife and our friend ordered Hunters Chicken and I ordered a mixed grill. When the Hunters Chicken arrived it was a very strange colour with not much bacon, bbq sauce or cheese. The mixed grill was awful all the meat was burnt I couldn't tell without tasting it which was the steak and which was the lamb chop or pork! Towards the end of her meal, my wife found some of her chicken was not cooked properly. We pointed this out to the waitress who just said "oh sorry". And just walked off! At that point we decided not to stay for any sweets. We got the bill and left. We don't live near the Landing Light but if we did, we definitely wouldn't go back.

Our server was Paul who was very helpful and knowledgeable.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food came fast and it tasted very good actually excellent.

Quite Tuesday night and still over a 1h wait on food, it arrived under cooked and mostly raw and we were told it was fine to eat and we could always just leave. Extremely rude staff. Extremely disappointed and disrespectful.
