Clean Kitchen Club in Wandsworth

I have been here several times and overall it was good. However, I came here recently and it was terrible. It seems they've decided to no longer serve a plant based only menu with a new menu that has very limited plant based options. The plant based burger was awful. It didn't taste very good and wasn't cooked well. I have seen they have changed the menu to offer sustainable alternatives, but I just cannot see how any of the junk food offering is a 'clean' and sustainable option.

Yummy good, friendly staff and excellent service. Would 100% come again :) the prawn and mango salad was really fresh

I visited Clean Kitchen at Battersea Power Station on November 23, 2024, and had a very disappointing experience. Despite being told earlier that the restaurant was open until 8 PM, when I returned at 7:13 PM to place an order, I was informed the counter was "temporarily closed." After waiting patiently, I was then told at 7:20 PM—40 minutes before the stated closing time—that they were no longer accepting orders and would be closing the counter in three minutes. This poor customer service was frustrating not only for me but also for another tourist who was similarly turned away. It’s disappointing to see such disregard for customers, especially in a venue as prestigious as Battersea Power Station, which prides itself on offering a great experience. Clean Kitchen’s lack of professionalism and mismanagement are doing a disservice to the reputation of this landmark. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and makes changes to ensure better service for future visitors.

Amazing experience at Clean Kitchen Club in Battersea! The burger was absolutely delicious, and the fries were perfectly crispy. The service was top-notch—quick, efficient, and friendly. I was in a rush to get to the theatre, and they made sure my order was ready in no time. Special shoutout to Omar, who handled a few rude and snobby customers with remarkable patience and kindness. The woman working alongside him was equally helpful and attentive. They truly went above and beyond to make the experience enjoyable. I’ll definitely be coming back—highly recommend!

This is not the amazing vegan food place I visited a couple of years ago. They now serve mostly animal products and the vegan options are marginalised to a vegan chick’n burger or vegan nuggets (and maybe some salad dishes). The chick’n burger I had was bland, nothing like the amazing food I had before. It’s also seriously over priced. They need to remove their old branding “clean” “Plant Based” signs and completely change their brand, not even a single desert was vegan friendly! I’m really disappointed to see what was once an amazing vegan food place become another mediocre fast food place without a conscience, with the audacity to still have all the plant based branding.

Has gone seriously downhill since it opened. Also this is no longer an all vegan restaurant. Clean Kitchen hardly has any vegan options, and what it does have is poor quality. The vegan ‘chicken’ burger is bland. At the time of going the restaurant was not busy (Sunday around 1:30pm), which is a sign - but we were in a hurry so decided to eat where there were the least queues. Service still took longer than usual, fries came out at a separate time to our burgers. They also managed to get the fries wrong - they were very oily and not fully cooked through. Staff look unkept, unhappy and rushed, restaurant is dirty with heavily stained chairs. I also think it’s understaffed. For what you get this restaurant is overpriced. Meal deals are only available at certain times of day. I wouldn’t bother going here, there are plenty of other lovely places at Battersea Power Station to spend your good money. Clean Kitchen was the worst food experience I’ve ever had.

Visited Clean Kitchen at Battersea Power Station last week and will definitely return! I had the beef burger which was so delicious but still felt completely guilt free. My friend got the vegan chicken burger which I tried- you’d never have known it was vegan! We both had smoothies too- there were lots of different flavours and the 2 we tried were so yummy! The menu has lots of options, including things to eat in and take out. We also shared the açai bowl which was so yummy and fresh. Cant wait to come back!

Menu looked great but the food wasn’t. Sadly it took ages to be prepared and was then wrong when it arrived. Also extremely expensive… £9 for a smoothie!

Taking forever to do 2 teas and a latte. Only 1 other customer was in shop. Staff so rude and dull. Very unwelcoming.

Fries were cold. The took back the whole order. Making new fries took ages, everyone just standing around doing nothing. When we finally got the fries the burgers were cold. By the way: nothing in this store is clean. Dirt on all tables… the worst

Went on the busy bonfire night, not able to get to any other food without long queues. It’s quick to order here but no service at all, napkin is the bull kitchen roll you have to tear yourself. No service I would say. And for a burger and chips, wait time is more than 20 minutes. Food is okay but considered overpriced, remember you have to order sauce separately. All other burger chains do much better burgers in my opinion.

Dreadful service. I waited for 45 minutes to be served my sandwich and drink I had paid for. Very poor management. There were lots of people serving but not enough people in the kitchen

They need to update their online info, I was expecting a vegan place. When we got there, the menu was riddled with grim looking fare. Definitely did not look like the healthy image they're coasting on. Gave it a swift swerve.

Battersea is a wonderful place and have many fantastic places to eat. This is not one of them. Please please stay away. Many options in the menu weren’t available. Even still water they didn’t have. They made mistakes on my orders several times and the customers sitting beside me had the same experience. Ohhh! And the food was very cold. You’ve been warned

I was really excited to try Clean Kitchen Club based on the name and the advertising, which seemed to suggest a vegan-friendly and healthy menu. Unfortunately, it was a total letdown. The menu is mostly filled with processed junk food, like meaty burgers and fries, which is a far cry from the healthy, plant-based options I was expecting. The only vegan option was a vegan chicken burger - the worst burger I've ever had, completely bland and overpriced. And to top it off, the place was a complete mess. The tables were dirty, the chairs were stained, and the place looked like it needed a deep clean. It's a joke to call this place "Clean Kitchen Club". It would be better to go to the local McDonalds than this place.

Delicious smooth coffee, buttery flaky vegan pastry. Brilliant portion sizes and very friendly knowledgeable staff.

Food- I will upload photos to understand the ‘expectation vs reality’ for their parcels without any words. Secondly, majority of food I would have wanted- sold out in a daylight. Clean food is clean food but if you are only offered burgers - it just gets a bit out of hand. Service- the front of house was empty when we entered. The whole place was actually empty so it looked like it was closed. No welcome whatsoever. We really doubted it from second one. The serving girl turned out to be there, hanging out in the kitchen since there were no orders to gand out. Secondly, chef was wearing wireless earphones while in action. Imagine they fell into your food… gross. Atmosphere- as mentioned. No welcoming whatsoever, awkward. Chairs by the entrance around round tables are light and in a non-washable material, full of food stains, spillages and god knows what else. It really is putting off, and suggests to rather leave faster than seat in to eat.

Recently visited the battersea power station branch and wow what has happened to this once incredible chain? Tables were dirty, chipped corners on them, dirty tables with crumbs and wet wipe marks? The menu is very limited and most options were out of stock? Nd the worst part is that this place used to be fully vegan and now they serve real chicken and beef?????? Im sorry What ??? When clean kitchen club first opened in wembley box park it was amazing, fully vegan menu with salad bowls, vegan ceasor salad, vegan ceasor chicken wrap, loaded fries, mac n cheese etc then wembley box park chain got closed down. So was excited to see clean kitchen this time at battersea power station on a visit, only to find they now serve real chicken’anf beef. most vegan options were out of stock. Anf they didnt even have very many options to be honest. Only a few grilled wrap type sandwiches, and build ur own bowl, smoothie bowl, nd burgers?? What a fall for a chain that was once very good. Extremely disappointed don’t think ill ever be visiting again, unless a massive revamp is done on the menu and cleanliness.

Slow service and the food was laughable for an outlet that holds itself out as a healthy eatery. The burger was a few crumbs of overcooked mince and chips were horribly over-salted. Genuinely awful.

I recently visited this place and while the vegan food was alright, there were some issues with cleanliness. Several chairs had noticeable stains, and many of the tables appeared unwashed. Additionally, there was an unusual smell in the air.

Made my food wrong taste horrible won’t be going back

I was in the market and noticed the name of the restaurant. I entered and ordered through the screen. After 10 minutes, the order was ready. The prices were frankly higher than usual for a regular burger and very normal potatoes. It was a fleeting experience and will not be repeated. To be honest, thanks to the waitress, she gave me a cup of ice for free the day I ordered from her😄

Glad to try the grass fed smashed beef burger yesterday! I had a very nice smoothie as well. The customer service was excellent and the workers were very friendly. Highly recommend this healthy place :)

My main qualm is that the smashed beef burger, which is pictured with at least one slice of cheese in it in advertising, is served without cheese as standard. False advertising at its finest; be sure to add cheese if you want it! They need to update their menu or their advertising.

This place is not vegan anymore. There is meat and dairy :( The selection of vegan is not very good. I haven't finally tried anything but the menu seemed uninspiring and overpriced..

just another business capitalising on veganism as a market trend and abandoning their base when it suits. mid-tier food, go to temple of seitan or neat burger or something instead.

I come to battersea every Saturday morning for a class. I used to go to the Clean Kitchen and get a great açai bowl at 10am, when it opens. For the last 6 months or so, its either closed or the doors are open but it is completely unmanned. Today I could see staff in there at 10.10am, but they said they weren’t opening until 11am. The website says 10am. So once again they won’t be getting my business. Really disappointing.

I asked for an iced latte and they made it as a hot drink and put it in a cup with ice after realising the mistake that was made. If you’re going to make it wrong, you’re suppose to do it again. the drink was ruined. Her colleague helped her do this and it’s wrong, don’t do it again. I didn’t have time to ask for you to remake it but the drink tasted like water and wasn’t nice. So disappointed

This place was really disappointing. The food was really cold, vegetable was beyond mediocre and the chicken was questionable. On top of it it was extremely dry even with the additionally purchased sauce. One word to sum this up is terrible. Avoid!

I love it in here now and how amazing Battersea Power Station is! It’s so much better now Clean sells something for everyone! I used to avoid this place but it’s changed and I really like the new menu items!

Amazing food in an amazing shopping centre. Great to see they decided to cater for all not just vegans. The spicy chicken burger was very good. My partner had a parcel with sweet potato that she said she'd try to make at home. Worth a comeback for sure.

went out for a cheeky bite with the mrs and was absolutely horrified by the prices did they even cook the chicken hence the name clean chicken, they might aswell put it in the washing machine, very expensive and was absolutely abysmal please close down if it’s possible

Travelled an hour and a half by bus to come here and it’s closed despite being listed here as open until 9pm! Booooo.

Delicious vegan fast food,one of the best wraps I've ever had, hot fresh,tasty,great texture and brilliant flavour, venue is fast food vibes but still cosy and nice, I'm not vegan and I would highly recommend trying the food here! It's amazing 👏

- atmosphere was good, service was good - not marketed well enough as a vegan kitchen, was in absolute shock that i’d just eaten some plant derived concoction, when it tasted like meat, and was called a beef burger, that cost 15 quid. I call that lying to make an extra few quid profit, as ground vegetables are cheaper than real beef, hence the 2 stars

Great place for vegan food. We had 3 smoothies, which were excellent. Great fruity flavours in the Berry and strawberry versions. Comes highly recommended.

Ordered 2 hot chocolates with oat milk priced at £7.70, they were probably the worst I've ever had. They did not taste of chocolate and the oat milk tasted watered down. The only thing that you could say met the description was that they were hot. Very disappointing.

Disorganised. Dirty. Music too loud. Called clean kitchen... It's not. Dirty Vegan is a better name. Tried again in Dec 23. It's clearly about to go under. Staff were moaning to customers about management. Little stock on shelf. It's slow service. Just all dreadful

Some tasty vegan food. Drinks section is a little lacking in choice and took many unhealthy Fizzy drinks. Would prefer paper mini bowls for the ketchup and sauces rather than plastic but appreciate this is mainly for takeaway customers

Great place with great vegan food. Yes, the menu is fully vegan and as someone who eats meat I would rate this above a lot of non vegan fast food restaurants. They have two types of ‘beef’ burgers and two types of ‘chicken’ burgers with fries and chicken nuggets and even a selection of Mexican food available. Would highly recommend.

Five guys prices with McDonalds portions. The fries were good (sold separately) but the burger lacked any kind of character in it’s taste. Everything is about the vegan aspect. If you dont care about the price then it’s fine as it does not taste bad, but DEFINITELY not worth the money. The Katsu was not on the tasty side. Service was good and the place is clean

I only tried the "fast food" items, they are nice but I did not find it extraordinary and far from what the name would make you think (not "clean", it is really greasy fast food). I wish they would make all ingredients and nutritionals available.

Restaurante vegetariano e a comida é deliciosa, com exceção do sal nas fritas. O pedido, que seria em até 20 minutos, passados 45 minutos nem havia sido iniciado. Pedimos uma porção kids de batatas fritas e, além de vir muita batata, veio super salgada. E a batata que acompanhava o hamburger também era super salgada. O ambiente é legal mas tem um espaço com poltronas super confortáveis. Sentamos lá mas tivemos de mudar pq a musica naquele espaço é muito alta, saímos de lá com dor de cabeça. Uma pena pq as poltronas eram realmente muito confortáveis

It was OK, I just missed the Wow factor, whatever that may have been.

The food was amazing and the service was also exceptional. Hassan let me try out the açai as I had never tried it before and I ended up really liking it so I bought that along with the Katsu bowl. A very healthy alternative and very tasty!

This place is awesome! I come here once a weak and the food never fails to satisfy. Pro tip: get the Mexican bowl with sour cream & chive poppers to load up with the filling, seriously delicious 😋

One of the best vegan places to eat in London (coming from a non vegan) chick’n nuggets are incredible and the toasted panini’s bang!!!

Took 40 minutes to make my order (1 burger and some chips) without saying there were any delays on food at time of ordering. When it did come the order was wrong. Food was ok.
