Cinnamon Indian Restaurant Chessington in Kingston upon Thames

Booked for evening family meal (2 adults and children age 13 & 10) whilst visiting Chessington World of Adventure on 30th October. On arrival we were met with a warm welcome. Great menu selection, with a few kids options, however my girls decided to try some Indian food. Popadoms were scrumpy, crisp with a nice select of chutneys. We had Paneer spring rolls, Chicken Tikka, chicken Jalfrezi, chicken special rice, aurbegine bhaji & garlic naan. There were clean plates all round, I can honestly say this was the BEST Indian we’ve ever had, simply gorgeous! Everyone loved the garlic naan, so much so another was ordered. The hospitality was exceptional and we did not feel rush at all. The drinks were reasonably price, with a good selection. It was easy to park and roughly an 8min drive from the Chessington park hotels. I would definitely recommend booking, as we did, the restaurant was fairly busy for a Wednesday night when we ate there. We would absolutely eat at Cinamon Indian Bar & restaurant, Chessington again!

This was our first time visiting this restaurant and definitely won't be our last. We we're so incredibly surprised at this true hidden gem as we didn't even know it existed and it looks so unassuming from the outside. Inside, it's styled decor and friendly waiting staff were very welcoming. Our waiter helped us in choosing some recommended dishes which were fantastic and flavoursome. In fact all of our shared starters, mains & sides from our party od four we're incredibly delicious. Cold beers, lovely wine and pleasant atmosphere all made a perfect evening with friends. I cannot recommend this Indian restaurant anymore, if you haven't been then you really must - you won't regret it!

We found cinnamon Indian restaurant when we was staying at Chessington for a family party . We would never of found it other wise proper hidden gem . Food was amazing and the service was fantastic will definitely revisit

The blend of Indian and Sri Lankan dishes is simply incredible. The Sri lankan starters and the Sri Lankan curry was rich and flavorful. Specially the seafood pittu and mutton kothu roti is fabulous.The staff was friendly and attentive, Highly recommend this restaurant for anyone craving authentic South Asian cuisine! It's worth to go again.

Best curry house in chessington!!

We were really disappointed with the Cinnamon Tree, we went by the reviews as we didn't know the area. Keema naan was weird having the meat on top of the bread, dips weren't very nice and the whole meal was not up to the standard we expected.

This restaurant is definitely worth the rating it has. Food, service, everything was absolutely perfect. Staff were very attentive and food/ service was very fast. All staff were very kind and welcoming. Even helped us set up a birthday cake. Prices were very good along with the 15% off for making a booking online it’s even better. It was very clean/ toilets were immaculate too. Would 100000% come back again and would definitely recommend.

Really good restaurant. Since coming back from India haven't had a curry that good. Lamb jalfreezi was incredible. And really nice atmosphere.

Fantastic experience we will definitely be back. We were staying in Chessington World of Adventures and it's so close. Literally a few stops on the bus. Bus stop is right outside the restaurant. Food was unreal.

Had a lovely dinner at Cinnamon a few days ago. Service was very good. Although one of the waiters didn't offer us the possibility of tasting the wine first and filled all glasses more than he should, the host was amazing since the beginning! The food was nice and it was a good experience overall. Just had another table with some people laughing very loud most of the time but I guess that can happen anywhere. The atmosphere was very pleasant and I liked the toilet too. We would recommend this restaurant. Thank you.

We were staying at Chessington World of Adventures and decided as a family we wanted dinner of something different, something classy. So glad we found this place. There was a horrible crash in town and roads were closed and we nearly decided to not bother, so glad we stuff with the traffic. A wonderful place, amazing food, very very polite and pleasant proprietor whom we spoke to about all manner of topics from BrExit, sport and his daughter doing the 11+ My wife and I are teachers and over from Ireland he was stunned we are on our summer holidays from end of May. The food was on 🔥 , generous portions, well presented and absolutely delicious. From the poppadoms to the peshwani nan, Saag and Bombay aloo, Madrid and Masalla. Top quality. This place is fantastic. Don't miss out, give it a go a great break from the burger/steak fare dishes up at Chessington.

Incredible local restaurant - the food and atmosphere was great. The owner was there when we ate in and he was so friendly and accommodating but we’ve been multiple times and all the staff are lovely. We’ve also had multiple takeaways and it never disappoints - I prefer to eat in but both great. Perfect spot for local Indian food! Highly recommend!

Had a takeaway from here tonight. I could tell that the lamb was good quality, however, the sauces were bland. We had Indian food. Edit: anyone reading the owner response should know that we didn't order plain grilled chicken with steamed rice and a plain naan. We ordered dishes that normally have a big bold flavour with a moderate to high heat. Clever response from the restaurant, however, what we had, shouldn't have been bland!

Possibly the nicest curry around if you want a decent “dine in”!

Absolutely delicious authentic Indian cuisine with an awesome ambiance with fantastic service. So happy I was in the neighborhood and could stop by. Definitely recommend all to visit this delicious restaurant.

I am not a fan of Anglo-Indian food or of Indian restaurants. The last two times I was coerced into such an establishment, the poppadoms were stale and the staff exchanged unpleasant looks about our polite table of women. This said, Cinammon has changed my mind. The staff were pleasant and attentive (but not overly so) from the moment our group of eleven ladies stepped through the door. The menu featured the expected usual dishes but lots of other recipes I had not seen before which pleased me greatly as I hate nothing more than feeling bored when I look at a menu. The atmosphere at Cinammon is pleasant and the toilet was clean. The food was nice and I felt like they deserved a write-up and people's business because they clearly care about what they do and that means a lot in an industry where more often than not it seems people just want to rinse every penny possible out of their customers due to ever-increasing overheads and barely provide any level of customer service. I didn't take photos during the meal I am afraid because I had organised for a group of ladies to go and meet like-minded good souls and I felt it to be intrusive and rude to be focused on promotional activities during the meal. Below are a few photos I took at the end of the meal. We drank quite a lot as is customary in the Uk when celebrating life with friends so you could probably keep the price per person down bt not doing that 😁 So I leave you with this comment only: Cinammon is worthy of your business because it is a pretty restaurant with a more diverse offering and staff who care. Give it a go

Lamb hyderabadi biryani and lamb vindaloo was amazing. Lamb so tender, spices mixed to perfection. This is the best curry we’ve had!!!! Amazing!!! Thanks Chef!!!!

Great food friendly service and atmosphere super will recommend others

Amazing indian and sri lankan food. Better than anywhere in London and on par with the food in India. The dosa was crispy and delicious with sambar/chutneys cooked to perfection. Same with egg hopper and naan. For starter had hara bhara kebab -was excellent. Some of the meat options were good but cooked for more western taste. Would recommend going for Sri Lankan menu for the best food in UK. Compliments to the chef!

The food was great, maybe a little bit spicy for my liking, but that's personal preference. It's nice to try traditional Sri Lankan food.

Party of eight,attended 6/1/24.Good atmosphere, friendly staff.Service quick but not rushed.Best onion bhajees and tarkha dall I have ever eaten , I'm 72 now and been eaten Indian food longer than I can remember.Not cheap,but you get what you pay for.Quality food , obviously all made in-house.

My partner and I were visiting the area to go to the Chessington theme park and decided to go to Cinnamon for dinner - definitely a great choice! Food was delicious and staff were very warm and welcoming. Would definitely go there again.

I'm not quite sure how genuine these reviews are, but we eat locally around the area and tried this after the positive reviews... Wow, if I could request a refund I would. All dishes bar one taste like a Chinese/Indian fusion, which isn't nice when expecting a curry. The special vegetable rice is as good as an uncle Ben's at best and nearly £7! Garlic chicken (sweet and sour style), chili paneer (sweet and sour style) and what can only be described as a cheap supermarket naan (doing a disservice to the supermarket). Chicken dhansak was passable, but overall a very confusing and underwhelming takeaway.

Fantastic food best in town. I have been all over surrey looking for a good curry and have to say this is tops. You would not think you was in Chessington, you would think this was in the west end. Most curry houses use the same dirty oil over and over that's what give you a bad stomach (I'm a chef myself so I know about this stuff.) . You can really see how fresh this food is by the clean oil. I will definitely be retuning.

Visited on a Thursday evening with a party of 20+ members of my local running club to be greeted by the welcoming and enthusiastic owner. Cinnamon is situated on a residential road in Chessington with ample parking on nearby roads, but also serviced by public transport and is tastefully decorated with a relaxing atmosphere. The food tasted amazing, with generous portion sizes and nothing seemed too much trouble for the attentive staff. It’s a hidden gem in my opinion and well worth a visit.

24 of us opted to try Cinnamon for a post - run curry and it was fabulous! Service and staff were lovely, food was fresh and tasty, great atmosphere and comfortable seating- thankyou! Staff did really well to accommodate such a large group. My first time and will certainly be back 😊

Nan was OK, veg karahi was very oily, had 2 huge pieces of potato and almost no flavour, lamb chops was average, spring rolls were too big - made it difficult to enjoy flavour. All leftovers went into the bin.

One of our party is a strict vegan and they were very accommodating very pleasant and friendly I felt the price was slightly on the high side for 3 of us we had curry and rice each 2 of us had Fanta the other tap water and it was over £65

Booked a table for 4-5 people Friday Night, my food arrived after everyone else’s and my food was cold, when complained it was microwaved to reheat, when complained again it took a while for the manager to arrive and most of the party was over half way through eating !! Spoilt the whole experience, yet they still charged me £114.00 !! he did offer to cook me something special, but did not understand everyone else was almost finished, by the time he, the chef was to do that they would have all been finished. Disappointing is an understatement, the manager even had the cheek to ask if this was our first time eating there !! Never going back, told all my neighbors and friends who eat there not to go, with most stating that the food is warm and not fire hot !! besides my boys said their spicy Vindaloo was below average on heat and taste. So in a nutshell give this restaurant a miss.

A gem of a place, you certainly wouldn't find it by passing! Food was superb, staff very helpful and friendly a great atmosphere and well priced.

We (my partner and me) never went to an Indian restaurant before and were pleasantly surprised by the sheer helpfulness and kindness of the staff. Very willing to help us with getting the best food combinations to properly enjoy Indian food. Food was very warm when it came and tasted very good too. Didn't take very long either, but then again the restaurant wasn't very full yet. Love the experience and the staff, very much loved the kindness :) if we would be in Chessington again in future, would definitely give them a visit again!

Wir haben im Cinnamon einen Zwischenstopp von unserer Rückreise aus Schottland gemacht. Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen und waren überrascht von dem freundlichen Ambiente. Das Essen (Sowohl Vor- als auch Hauptspeise) war ausgezeichnet. Das Servicepersonal war sehr zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Wir geben eine klare Empfehlung und kommen gerne wieder!

I had such an amazing time. The food was fantastic and the service was great. The servers were very nice and made sure we had a pleasant time. The vibe of restaurant was nice. I'd like to also mention the bathrooms are especially immaculate. Overall, I really recommend going here.

Lovely hidden gem! One of the best curry dinners we have had in a long time, authentic and cooked to perfection. We had the Malabar King Prawn and Lamb Bhuna and they were delicious, as well as peshwari naan and some sides. We will be back :)

If you are thinking of booking this restaurant then do it! You will not be disappointed. Went out for a meal with my other half, having recently moved and already thinking about a second visit. Good selection of drinks and priced competitively. Having a lager on tap is a massive plus instead of tiny little bottles at pint prices. We had an amazing selection of dips for the poppadoms including the schezwan which was sweet, spicy and plain delicious. Paneer stuffed spring rolls made in house with homemade tomato chutney were fresh and definitely delivered on taste. The chilli garlic cauliflower accompanied by the dips or alone consisted of high quality ingredients and cooking. Mains we had the chicken tikka bhuna, vegetable bhuna and shared a pulao rice. Both mains were incredible with good portion sizes and flavours, meat in my dish was tender and so tasty. Only thing that I wish was to have ordered a second rice as I could have just sat and eaten that as it was also so good. Service was friendly, welcoming and attentive but not overwhelming, allowing for the stunning restaurant and decor to be enjoyed to the full. Thank you for a wonderful evening meal and see you soon

A well presented restaurant with really good staff. I liked the place and the staff but the food was overly tailored to the local market, far too sweet and lacking spice for my liking.

A splendid hidden gem of a restaurant. Despite it being so close to home I've only just found it and I'm very pleased I have. There's alot of choice on the menu so I went for my standard choices... chicken madras and lamb dhansak. Both were excellent and the madras flavour was one of the nicest I've ever had. I also highly recommend the peshwari naan which was superb. Somehow I managed a matka Kulfi too. The owner is great to talk too and the service excellent. If you're in the area I recommend a visit.

One of the best curry restaurants ive been to. Service was on point with staff being very welcoming and understanding, food came very quickly after ordering. Very reasonable prices with so much flavour. 10/10 would reccomend to anyone after a cheeky curry or a nice date.

Eaten there a couple of times now. Took a relative there the other day and they agreed with me that it was a great restaurant and that they would eat there again. Definitely would recommend eating there. Used the loo as well and not seen the level of hygiene that good in a restaurant for a while. They are also like loos what I woukd imagine a palace having.

Lovely curry house - squeaky clean restaurant, lovely and fast service and the food was flavoursome and delicious (and well presented). They were also able to cater for our dietary requirements. We will come back!

Having searched for a long time for a good curry in the local areas, have been back here a second time and looking forward to becoming a regular. Staff are friendly and dietary requirements are listened to and taken seriously.

Visited after a day at Chessington. Restaurant is lovely, super clean and welcoming with a great atmosphere. Staff were excellent - very attentive, professional and polite. The food was exceptional, some of the best weve had. Would 100% recommend. Shame we don't live closer.

Ordered for collection and was ready nice and quick. The food was amazing, special shout out to the Daal Saag and Lamb Karahi! Will definitely be returning and also eating in.

Dont waste your time going in to Central London for an Indian. This place is absolutely fantastic. The whole package food drinks staff & the restaurant spotlessly clean and very welcoming most definitely will be going back. And have recommended it to all my friends 10/10

Staff and service where amazing, very polite and professional. However the food surpassed what I would have hoped for. Every meal we had tasted delicious, paired great texture made for an amazing meal to end the night. Shame I live in Cornwall, would definitely make this my regular!

Highly recommend, a worth visit. We went after chessington park today. Food was beyond expectations. Gobhi Manchurian was crunchy and yummy. Dal makhni was finger licking. Karahi paneer was top marks, paneer quality very good. Highlight of meal were naan breads. Totally authentic clay oven baked soft naans. Will be back again for sure 👏

We were delighted when Cinnamon opened just around the corner from us - we were even happier when the food turned out to be fantastic! It is not your typical Indian restaurant in London where dishes have all been changed to suit ‘British’ tastes - this has an authentic Indian feel and taste to each of the dishes. Their lamb vindaloo is amazing - just like I used to eat in Goa. I was not happy when my wife ordered szechuan prawns for a starter the first time we came (we are in an Indian restaurant, not a Chinese!), but they were so good that we have ordered them every time since! I couldn’t recommend highly enough!
