Read the good reviews so decided to book a table for a party of ten. Tried repeatedly for five days at different times of the morning, afternoon and evening to book a table. Phone just rings for ages then an answer machine says you cant leave a message. Drove past to check i had the right number- yep same number as displayed on the front. One time the phone was answered and i was asked to call back later, which i tried again and again to no avail. Have instead booked Vivos down the road. - Ciao if you are going to run a business at least answer your phone, or provide a proper answering machine service!

Was not aware that Gino had retired and restaurant now under new owners, with new name "Ciao" But honestly wish these guys all the success they deserve; if our meal experience last night was anything to go by. Fresh ingredients, put together to create amazing dishes, garlic mushrooms to die for & every mouthful of fillet with delicious peppercorn sauce melted in the mouth AMAZING. Not busy, but atmosphere was relaxed with friendly prompt service, reasonably priced. liked fact that chief came out to speak with customers and offered to make anything off menu (provided ingredients avail) Would much prefer to wait a while and get totally fresh prepared / cooked meal than have something pre-cooked then thrown together in 5 minutes. If forced had to add any negative, would be selection of drinks, we are Cider and Ale drinkers but made do with a nice bottle of wine and Peroni Larger - but guess if you want the real Italian experience it's small price to pay. We will definatley be returning thank you for a fantastic meal.

Popped in here after visiting Katie's Nails in Long Eaton. Didn't know what to expect as we had never tried the restaurant before. Long story short we were pleasantly surprised! Excellent on service, food and price! Carbonara made the real Italian way all cooked to order with fresh ingredients so the small wait was well worth it. We will definitely be returning and taking friends next time round. We live the other side of Nottingham so hope the locals pay them a visit, they won't be disappointed - lovely homemade Tiramisu btw :-)

My wife enjoyed her meal, but mine was cold and not much better when reheated - dry pasta and overcooked ham. Tiny portion - more like a starter than a main course. We won't be rushing back...

Visited Ciao on the 30th April, formally Gino's, didn't know that it had changed name and hands until we arrived, this made us a little nervous but we needn't have worried, the husband and wife team who now won the restaurant made our party of 8 feel very welcome, the ambiance, food and service were all excellent, we will definitely be back and wish the couple every success for the future.

Went to Ciao last night, used to be Gino's (top of Albert Street) but now has new owner who used to work at Vivo. Vittorio (sorry if spelt wrong) has done a great job with the place his food is tasty and not over priced, wine was also very good as are the staff working for him. All the usual dishes you would expect . We went for early doors at 6 but ended up staying till gone 9. Nothing to much trouble and when word get's round he is open I am sure the place will be packed. Good Luck and will be going again soon.

I’ve just been for an enjoyable meal at Bel Pease. The food was of good quality and nicely served. The waiter completed the evening with his charm and humour.

Absolutely delicious. I had the crab remoulade to start. A big portion, lots of crab, lovely creamy lobster side. Hubby had cheese soufflé. Then I had the Cod with Prawn - it was amazing. Beautifull
