Churchill's Fish & Chips Uxbridge in Hillingdon

For £14 you get a small cod piece and not many chips. I left still feeling hungry. The young lady at the till was pleasant but the manager in the back making fish couldnt look any less inviting and i didnt like his attitude towards his own staff.

Very over priced. Small portions and always a long wait.

Went in for battered sausage and chips, buttered roll , served by young lady waiting long time don’t know why everything was cooked . Got home very few chips that were soggy and limp . And roll only buttered on one side

Sent an order and order come back wrong 3 battered and one savaloy with chips ordered and no savaloy turned up ,so one of the children can’t eat well just the chips ,when you spend £30 for chips and sausages it not the cheapest ,just read the receipt it says clearly in there ,shocking

We ordered fish and chips for take away. Fish was tasty, but it’s stuck in the paper inside the box and missed the crispy part of the fish. It was disappointing.

Best fish and chips for miles around. Always fresh, well cooked. Perfect.

Chips was not good and service is very bad the man didn't serve well just put fork on table as we are 2 but he served 1 then I aske him he pointed to take from till and I bring souce myself really disappointed

This is medium cod.i wonder if I order a small cod what would it be.i used to like Churchill but never again £12.50 for that is too much.the length of the fish is 24cm

The Monday deal is crazy good value.

I ordered at 5pm for a 7pm delivery & it eventually arrived at 7.30pm delaying my family dinner when we were also going out for the evening. Called restaurant to chase up to be told that they were busy & pointed out my order had been in since 5pm !

Was great when it was Jacks. Somehow the portions have shrunk and taste of fish chips is passable.

The first time I had fish and chips here, and Dave, the very kind staff member, surprised me with a haddock fish, and it made my day.

Cracking chips and battered sausages

Fish deal is very expensive now, chips again word dry and they don't put all fresh in the tray. Fish very soggy and the batter was poor I would expect better from a chip shop! Especially at these prices.

Ordered a group meal and 45 minutes later was told they had no chicken burgers (a third of the order). We had ordered the chicken burger meals with chips and they sent us a beef burgers with no chips. Food arrived an hour later and they sent us chicken nuggets instead of veggie nuggets to a vegetarian without telling us, so she couldn’t eat anything at all. A hair was also found in the fish and chips of one meal as well. No salt and vinegar on any of the chips. Want a full refund. Ruined everyone’s evening. Horrendous.

Placed a large mobile order and not only forgot two portions of chips but gave a VEGETARIAN real chicken when the “crunchy green heroes” were ordered . This is absolutley unacceptable and I cannot believe a mistake like this has been made. Absolutely disgusting I want my money back and compensation.

Food is nice but very expensive and portions are very small, large chips is just under a fiver but the portion is very very small unlike many other chippy's.

Was in Hayes for the day and stopped here to grab some lunch. Wesley gave great service and food choice, I would highly recommend.

No staff atmosphere no smiles nothing ,food brought to table may as well be a Sombie, no HP brown sauce, what the hell , milk for tea was of, sent back, left half of food on plate and left full cup of tea in manky cup , only bought this food due to busy day wish I did not bother waste of money and effort, never again.p.s don't recommend any meals that's my verdict.

Really nice chips a little pricey as most places are atm. But I think they definitely the best I've had

Ok fish but the large cod is more like a medium at other places (see pic). £3.55 for regular chips and the portion could be bigger (see pic). It wasn’t busy with literally one other order before mine but I had to wait 25 minutes for my food. Hence the service could be faster. Also, service was very matter of fact. Batter was crispy. Cod was a bit overdone. So, large cod, regular chips, mushy peas and a coke - £18 and a 25 min wait for the food. Room for improvement I think!

It is a local Churchill’s Fish & Chips at Uxbridge. It is on the main road and it is very easy to reach there. Prices are normal. We have tried cod fish and chips. They were delicious. You can try it. Why not?

Haven’t used Churchill for awhile because wasn’t happy last time but gave them another chance but unfortunately was still the same cold sorry no more

Was good, but they don't do pineapple fritter... can't dock a star for that but would be amazing if the fritter was added to the menu.

Lovely fish and chips. Loads of parking. Clean toilets. Really nice chips ! I did not ask for salt or vinegar, and they remembered which most forget and drown it. Best fish and chips I have had in years. Nice mushy peas too.

I wanted to treat my wife with a super romantic night out and dinner experience for our 10th year anniversery. We went to churchil and it was amazing. Very good value and staff were super polite and considering. highly recomended.

Don’t order online and use uber eats,didn’t receive our order because they gave it to a driver that didn’t deliver .but Churchill still took our money, and will do nothing to help us get it back absolutely no customer service

Went to order food direct from the store. Had to use one of there recommended delivery firms. We used Uber eats. Food never arrived but still charge for the food. Can’t get hold of anyone from Uber and churchills just washed there hands of it. Will Never use them again

Fish and chips are the best in the area by a long shot. However, £3.50 for a pot of half filled curry sauce is pretty poor.

The fries wasn't seasoned. I did chose salt and vinegar for fries but I think they forgot to put in both of the chips. otherwise fish was good.

Great food would recommend, plenty of free parking on site.

They seem to state that the fish is haddock however it doesn't taste anything near to haddock. Curry sauce seems to run out before 9pm too

The price you pay is not the quantity you get, why did I get two small chips for 5 pounds each.

Food was nice. Well I enjoyed mine I had medium cod and chips and mras had small cod and chips. Apart from 2 bones that nearly got stuck in her throat she enjoyed it. Curry sauce was good

If you are looking for that perfect classic fish and chips experience then you've found it. The food is great, the prices are fair, but the atmosphere is what really sets it apart even if it's slightly of the beaten track. We need more places like this and I hope to God that they remain open in the future before they get replaced by some tacky kebab shop.

Great quality food & delivered in a reasonable time

Ordered 2 of the bargain sausage deals as there are 8 of us. It says that you get 4 regular portions of chips in the deal, so we should of had 8. We only received 4 regular chips with 2 sausages in each. We also, ordered a regular portion for someone that was with us, which was the same size as the other 4, which is how we know they only sent 4 regular with the meal deals.

Received my order with no chips! Called the restaurant and was told sorry there is nothing they can do! How can you have fish and chips without receiving the chips! Shocking service!!

Rarely do you find a spacious, modern and clean environment that delivers with its food. The chips were super fresh and had the perfect crisp shell. The man behind the counter was friendly and gave great service. First time trying this particular place but will definitely be back more regularly!

I ordered delivery via Uber Eats once in March and once in April. Both times the fish arrived with chewy batter and the chips were mainly soggy and had little flavour. I've this place before delivered and it was great the first time but these last 2 times have been dire. Considering the price of the place, you should get more. Portion sizes aren't great, the large fish is what you would consider medium in most other fish and chips shops. Can't fault the service though. I haven't eaten inside so I cannot comment on that. I'll be honest, this is the last time I'll be ordering for Churchill....

food arrived on time but somehow was kept to a sustainable temperature if people order food for delivery it should at a temperature that is adequate found this not to be in this case whether it be the shop not putting correct packaging or deliverer is doing other drops or a combination of them both resulting in poor service and cold food arriving
