Churchdown Tandoori in Tewkesbury

Food arrived on time and hot. The chicken tikka pathia was beautiful, meat was really tender and plentiful, as always. Many thanks

Tried Churchdown Tandoori for the first time as we’ve just moved to the area. Food was ready for collection in 20 minutes as advertised. Unfortunately the chicken was very poor quality and full of hard tendons making it inedible for both of us. The rice, curry sauce and naan bread were all tasty on first thoughts. However, the following day we both had awful food poising. After this I have researched the good hygiene rating and they have now dropped to 3 stars (not the 5 stars they advertise). Unfortunately we will not be risking eating from here again.

Every time you ring for your food they will give you a time say 20 mins and then when you arrive after 20 mins you have to wait another 30 mins. I believe they do not cook the food until you arrive at the takeaway No.point in calling ghem to order your food.

This is our new favourite Indian. Used spicy aroma when we first moved to the village and out was ok but never blew me away. Switched to Polash which we found and really enjoyed. Still think they are great but they don't deliver and wanted something delivered so tried Churchdown Tandoori based on the good reviews and so glad we did. Absolutely delicious. Came back for a second time on Christmas eve and was just as impressed. Will be using now as our go to Indian.

I watched Amin prepare to open his new business during lockdown and wished him well. I have ordered several times and have never been disappointed. The food is outstandingly good, ordering on line is so easy and service excellent. Wouldn't go anywhere else for Indian food.

Have to say this is one of the best Indian meals I have had . Normally lazy and order for delivery but as I was visiting a friend who lives near here we collected . The gentleman serving was very polite , chatty and very attentive . Then the chef stuck his head round the door to apologise that it wasn’t ready for exactly the time we required but he was doing it now …. Service you never normally get from a takeaway! Well done chaps and we will definitely be coming here again :-)

Had a takeaway from here last night ,lovely food will definitely be using them again ,delivery was on time and all the food was hot and very tasty.

We like an Indian takeaway,and after having a few disappointing ones lately,I came across church down tandoori,well we were so not disappointed,absolutely fab food,from papadams,chutneys,bajees best had in ages,lemon rice,lovely,peshwari nan and the best lamb pahtia I think it’s called,lamb was melt in mouth,can’t wait to try more from here.

First time ordering from here and it definitely won't be the last. I've sampled a fair few Indian, Bengali, Nepalese and Goan restaurants in various cities and this is good, fresh food cooked well. All the well known favourites are here, along with generous portions, prompt and friendly delivery, and an easy ordering online process. I can't remember the last time I ate such good Indian/Bengali food in Gloucester.

Very delicious food and excellent service , always delivered ontime. Best new curry house in churchdown. Definitely recommend.

Best Indian takeaway for years! Ready on time, courteous service and absolutely delicious 👌👍 flavours were amazing! Definitely will be going again
