Got 2 x pudding chips n gravy cost 10.40 n my other halfs first words were , "are they kids meals theyre a bit scraupy" not the usual standard to be fair. Shame really as they are usually spot on

One of the best fish and chips i have had in along time highly recommend. Fish was fresh, batter was crispy and chips were beautiful son had the spicy chicken burger and said it was lovely not to spicy great prices as well .. worth a visit

They really need to use less oil. The chips are drenched with oil, and the fish is the same!

First time at the chippy tonight after looking for a new local fish and chip shop for sometime providing reviews as we go…sad to say our search continues. Ended up throwing half of it away. Chips - very thin, almost like fries. Were a little well done but I quite like that, just need to be two or three times fatter. A little soggy and tasted quite fatty, maybe due to the size…Think the size of your little finger and you won’t be far away. Threw most in the bin. 1/5 Fish - asked for large fish and was quite small, taste was ok 2/5 Peas - nice enough if not a little bland. 3/5 Gravy - best part very tasty 4/5 Steak Pie - very dry, pastry very hard, had to bin most 1/5 Sausage - fine no issues 5/5 All in all bit disappointed, service was nice and friendly but ultimately food wasn’t quite as good

Very good food, value and service. Twice they have done us a bulk order for a large group and each time everything has been great so I would highly recommend them.

OK, ordered from here a few times - always lovely. Ordered tonight and was pretty much great. However, 2 large spring rolls - still frozen in the middle. Which 1, makes me think they're pre made. And 2, makes me think whoever nukes them doesn't do a great job. Ordered 2 - upset 2 of us.

Everything about this chippy is great food 100%+ staff are very friendly and cater for what you want and mainly when you don't want to move out your house the delivery staff are not only fast to deliver your food but it comes with great friendly people always smiling rain or shine. Would recommend this to anyone brilliant my number 1 chippy.

Very good chippy, lovely chips nice fresh fish on order. Start making chicken and dinner kebabs and I literally have no reason to even go anywhere else ever again :)

Food is good from this little fish and chip shop, and the staff are always lovely and super helpful. There’s a big selection of food to choose from and the prices are on the cheaper side.

Tried here as wanted to find a new chippy in the surrounding area and the reviews were great! Can honestly say it didn't meet expectations soggy fish and chips had nasty after taste as oil clearly hadn't been changed as they were that horrible brown colour. Not one to write review usually but had to make another meal once got home.

Dreadful undercooked soggy food. Complained over the phone a lady was happy to refund me. I went for it and got verbal abuse off the very arrogant man, assuming he was the manager he questioned my photo and said have you never had a spring roll before that’s how they are! Soggy not crispy and stuck to my chips ! The inside tasted very strange definitely undercooked. The man said I was shouting but it was him who raised his voice, he mocked me and insulted me by saying have I had a bad week and I must need the money back. !!!! Very shocking attitude off a rude man.

Awful food so I complained a lady offered refund so when I was able to go, I got verbally abused off a very rude arrogant men who questioned my photo saying have I not had a spring roll before! Making me It was undercooked and all stuck to chips, inside tasted very strange I wouldn’t even give it a dog it was that bad. He actually said have I had a bad week I must need the money !! Completely shocked at his attitude. I do not recommend this chip shop at all and it’s owner well !!!!

Always been a fan of this chippy as the local but they seem to have really raised the bar during COVID - introducing new meal deals and telephone ordering etc. Never had a bad meal and always get good service when you go in. Deserve to have been named as one of Wigan's top chippys in the local paper.

Church Street chippy is more a traditional kind of chippy with one exception. Food-wise it stays away from things like kebabs, donner meat, KFC Chicken Copying in favour of chips, fish, peas, sausages etc. However it has just started opening for BREAKFAST with egg and bacon on toast and full English on the menu. Bit weird but wonderful all the same

Good chip shop with very nice food.. My only criticism is the portion size when it comes to chips "Rather on the Small size" and that's just the honest truth and does put me off a bit.... Lovely chips but skinny portions...
