Chung Ku in Liverpool

Everytime I phone order I get poor food order and always something missin what I’ve paid for the one who answers the phone doesn’t understand English to good as always messes are food up when I phone all I get is sorry next time see the owner so now I have to go in and order an wait around instead of ordering on the phone an it bein ready when I get there wasted another £40 on crap food as was missin sauces and was wrong 😡

Disgusting food S&P chicken and S&P Sui mais both well over cooked in dirty oil chips horrible and the curry horrible used to be a belter this place won’t stay open 100% 🤬

Easily my favorite Chinese takeaway. I've had loads of dishes from here there always great. The crispy Chilli beef and the cashew chicken is my go to!

This is by far the worst Chinese food in Liverpool with extortionate prices. Whilst my half cooked food was in the bags going cold they served other people who they knew. £35 worth of food ruined for there £9 dinner. Over cooked duck fillet steak that was shin beef. Pedantic people saying it was nice and I wouldn’t give this to my dog. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Excellent take away food with restaurant quality. Food is ready promptly and is never compromised. Very happy to return.

I used to love this place but it is now just expensive and mediocre. I was very disappointed with the three meat dish, the duck was dry and the crispy pork was a very tiny portion. The chips were not nice and the crispy dim sum was overdone! Sorry but not likely to come back.

Top quality chinese food good prices

First time trying and don't know wether il be back. The salt and pepper chicken was meh .....nothing special and the fried rice was dry and had no egg in just wasn't upto scratch. The hot and sour soup was a brown colour which is a new one on me. It had plenty of meat and veg in including real chicken and it had spicy and sour flavour. It just wasn't like all the other hot and sour soups I've had and It took a while to get used to the underlying flavours. But I ate it all and enjoyed it in the end but wouldn't get it again. I know have only tried a couple of items but I don't think il be back.

Got a £52 Friday night takeaway won't ever go here again. Terrible salty food.

Been going there for many years. Its the only Chinese take way I feel is authentic. Food is brilliant and you get plenty. SO WELL RECOMENDED IF AT OR NEAR THE 5 WAYS GO AND GIVE IT A TRY. (OH THAY ONLY TAKE CASH)

Salt and Pepper Siu Mai with the homemade Chili Paste. Amazing every time I have ordered!

Edit: got a meal from here tonight. The food was vile! Lumps of fat as fillet steak. Tasteless cardboard meals. Salt and pepper oven chips that weren't even cooked and still rock solid. I'll be avoiding this place in future. Paid £53 and most went in the bin!

Been getting a take away from here weekly for 20years. Great staff, great food, had the odd wrong meal or less than perfect food but it’s been sorted straight away. As long as they’re open, I’ll be there. Paul, Crispy chilli beef fried rice extra carrots, portion of Sui Mai 😋

Great Chinese takeaway. Really tasty and amazing value. Recommend just about anything but particularly roast duck and char siu in soy sauce.

We have always found staff very friendly and food lovely. We are wondering if Chung Ku has been taken over as after ordering food last night did not get the usual friendly service. Just curious- not seen the member of staff before who served me

I feel I must email you to relay the worst takeaway meal that I’ve experienced in years. Last Sunday we ordered three meals . The chilli chicken was fine , but my sweet and sour chicken was inedible. Small slivers of chicken over cooked to with an inch of its life, the batter on the chicken was also awful. My grandsons salt and pepper chicken was the same, so tough it was in totally inedible. The best aspects of the meal were the boiled rice and chips.

My friend recommended this chippy. My hopes were high. Drove 10 minutes there and got these obviously preprepared warm ups tasted full of MSG. You can tell the oil they used is very dirty and has a smoky smell. Had to throw them away right away. I have been to bad chippies and this one is definitely one the the worsts. I normally don’t bother to write reviews but just was shocked by how bad the quality of the food is and thought I must write something so that other people don’t make the same mistake I made. NEVER EVER going back there again.

Best takeaway in South liverpool

vermicelli was tasteless, chow mein was dry and noodles rubbery. Curry sauce was like glue. Thought I'd give this place a go with it being local but never again. Oh and the prawn crackers were stale too.

Had the worst meal I have ever had from any takeaway here tonight. Asked for salt and pepper chips with the meal for the chips to be dripping with chip fat half cooked and table pepper put over them with a 2 cuts of red chillis and a few onions. The chips were out of a freezer bag as well. The full meal whet in the bin. Never ever again. Chilly crispy beef was the worse thing I have tasted, it tasted old like days old. I feel sick thinking about it. Awful
