Chuck and Blade Burgers in Medway

We had the unfortunate siting of 2 young ladies having an argument and then they both left and a young guy had to do everything by himself. We had to wait over 45 minutes for our food. We have been here before and have never witnessed such unprofessional and unpleasant behaviour

Unable to get the Trashy Tray which is the reason we went there! On arrival we were told it would be a 45 minute wait for food which we accepted and sat down as we thought we would order drinks while we wait. A waitress came to take our order and we ordered the trashy tray and they said they were unable to do this as they have too many orders going out for delivery and in the restaurant and she had to come back to take my order as I had to change what I wanted. We ordered a burger each and loaded fries and 2 drinks (no draught beer available as they said they recently opened and hadn’t put in their kegs yet). When they brought over the drinks minutes later, the waitress said the kitchen rush had died down now and our food should be out much sooner. I asked if we can now switch over to the trashy tray as we ordered the same thing (except for the extras you get - 3 chicken tenders topped with fresh chillies and sesame seeds drizzled in Korean BBQ sauce. 6 chunky deep-fried halloumi, drizzled with pomegranate molasses & garlic mayo and a large milkshake!) which they said would now be available. She went in the back to ask and came back saying No it’s not possible as the order had been put in already and it cannot be changed. (minutes ago). We ended up paying more and getting less. It’s a shame as the food and service from the waiters/waitresses were really good and they were very nice and pleasant. Seems like better management and customer management is needed. Better to stay at home and order or go somewhere where the customer is appreciated as it should not cost the customer!

Visited today and was looked after by James. Food was amazing and had a few follow ups by James and nothing was too much trouble. Very helpful and polite guy. Knows the business inside out. Milkshake was also out of this world! I felt valued as a customer and will 100% come back again. The 2 for 1 Tuesday was just a bonus as the food was that good I'd have happily paid full price. Good food, service was excellent - a young server jan accompanied us told us to write a review we had a trashy tray it was superb, I recommend the place.

We got the tuck in tray which was nice. Only thing was that it only includes some burgers, which isn’t mentioned on the menu. Only weird thing is you get to choose two sauces, but they end up just giving you the bottle of sauce anyway Service though is terrible. The guy who served us didn’t even tell us a drink we ordered wasn’t available and put another drink on the table and walked away. When telling him it wasn’t the right drink he started reading the bottle to then agree it was wrong.

The food was excellent (as always), and service was very good despite the restaurant being very busy. We were a big group (10) but staff were friendly and attentive. Love the Trashy Tray (great value).

Very poor, went here today, disinterested waiting staff, who you couldn’t hear over the music, stodgy , dry food, toilets filthy , no care and attention at all. Avoid.

Came in with a couple of my friends, good atmosphere and the food was delicious. The waiter jan was servicing us doing it by himself. He made sure we was accompanied the whole time while the restaurant looked busy. Highly recommend this place, will come again!

Friday night, service poor, the whole place quite dirty. No one really taking charge. Food okay. Was better when it was at the old location.

Held off writing a review for a while because wanted to go there a few times before forming an opinion but after yesterday it seems things haven't improved in Rochester. Just to start: the food is always good. Can't fault the food and the prices haven't really jumped like other places which is great, and the two for one Tuesdays make it even less of a hit on the wallet for eating out. What really keeps letting the place down consistently is the service. A few times now, yesterday included, we had to wait a good 25 minutes for our drinks after ordering. A while a go on another occasion we got our food before our drinks. I had to get up and and get drinks from the counter as they were made by someone and left there ignored. Yesterday I had to ask for our drinks 25 minutes after giving our order. Our order was taken almost as soon as we sat down which was good, but after that we saw two separate groups be seated and then no one came to take their order. After 20 minutes of waiting both tables left! One table had two small children and we're really not happy, but no one seemed to notice. The servers were quick to remove their menus from the table shortly after they left though which was odd, and they didn't seem phased that they left. Almost as if it was a normal occurrence, which is worrying. Another group that arrived either straight after us (or even before us as they were there for as long as us) we're only having their drinks taken to their table as we were leaving! So I'd estimate they were sat for about 30/40 minutes before getting drinks.. Shortly after our drinks arrived so did our food, which we inhaled due to being starving. My son was getting frustrated and I think if our drinks didn't arrive when they did we would have also left. Again, the burgers are great. Can't fault them, they are consistently good. If you get a take out then you'll enjoy the food I guarantee. There was a steady stream of people coming to pick up food/deliveries and sometimes it felt that these orders were taking precedent to the people actually sat in the restaurant. Our server was very polite and very nice, but seriously over worked! This really isn't a criticism of the servers, they seem to be doing all they could but seemed to be working back of house as well as front. All signs pointed towards them being stretched way too thin and really needed some help. There only ever seems to be 2 servers working there regardless of whether it's dead or busy. My son and I love the food (he especially loves the milkshakes, they are great, I would urge everyone to try each one they have to offer) but if you're looking to sit down and get your food and drink in any kind of acceptable time scale then think twice about going there. Or at least go there when it's dead. If you look inside and see that it's busy (you'll notice 90% of people with no food or drinks in front of them) then just try somewhere else, or get a take out. That might be quicker. So again, great food. Service really needs to be improved in Rochester and I hope it does because it's the only thing letting the place down.

It was our first time at Chuck and Blade Burgers and we’d heard good things about it. We were not disappointed. The food was extremely nice and the milkshake was the best I’d ever had. Definitely will be my go to place for milkshakes in the future! Lily served us and she was very friendly and helpful and a made the experience even better for us. Thank you.

Our service was a 10/10. Our server James was lovely and he was very attentive and efficient ! He made sure we were ok and brought out our food hot and fresh ! The slowest place on earth the staff take ages to even sit you down and take a drink order then when it came to getting food we was waiting 1.15 which is an absolute joke shocking place will not be coming back and will not be recommending it to anyone

Chuck and Blade serves up a seriously indulgent menu that’s definitely not for the peckish. Everything was a little heavy for me but that’s the style and they do it well! Great atmosphere and friendly staff is the cherry on the large cake.

These burgers are fantastic! Pricey but incredibly tasty. Best burgers in the area. I’m a big fan of the in and out with a hash brown.

My bugger was like eating a bread roll only good food was frozen fried food better off at a bugger van this place will be closed this time next year thank god 🙏

Sat for 20 mins waiting to get served , was very hungry at time and walked out , too busy doing online orders and phone orders, Was due to go out with work colleagues to there on Sunday, Told them not to bother, Great burger there previous visit aswell. Sorry not again.

The food was alright, but that's about it really. Didn't find the sambal particularly good, and the halloumi strips were over-cooked, way way too much of the burger sauce on the chips, but it was edible so there's that. We got the platter which was a pretty good deal.

Today was the second time we came here. 6 weeks ago was the first on Father's Day and loved the food and the service. We don't come to Rochester often but we agreed with my husband we love Chuck and Blade and we will come back to try their pizza as well. Absolutely love the alcoholic and normal milkshakes

After a poor Deliveroo experience we went back again to eat at the restaurant after a great gesture of a discount Our faith is restored - we had the Trash Tray - two burgers, cheese dip, halloumi, loaded fries and outrageously good tenders So much gorgeous food we had to bring some home Oh and the chocolate milkshake was INSANELY good Thank you Team Chuck and Blade

Went there last weekend, we have eaten at the Canterbury Branch in the past so we knew it was going to be good. Our waitress Lily was super friendly and made sure we had an amazing evening and experience. The food was brilliant, we had the poutine to share and the gravy was rich and hit the spot. The milkshakes are massive and full of flavour. The burgers were cooked perfectly and always so tasty, it's a messy affair but a sign of a good burger. We couldn't fault it and 100% recommend. It was super quiet when we went which was a nice bonus. Thank you Lily and to the chefs keep up the good work.

I'm sure the food is great, service was outstanding, however...we didn't order as we were seated next to a loudspeaker & the table was sticky & unclean. The floor at the entrance was covered in debris from the street & looked patchy & the flooring by the toilet was slippery. I'm sure the place is great, but could've made a better 1st impression.

Third visit and we were looked after by Lily who was incredibly attentive and nothing was any trouble for her. Food was so tasty and great portion sizes. Milkshakes looked amazing and that is on the list to try next time! We joined the rewards card too and well on our way to a free burger. Recommend the gravy and cheese dips as a side with tater tots too. Not had a bad dish or service.

I went here on Saturday for some food and the service I got was really good! Staff were incredibly hospitable and friendly and I was served by a girl called Emma and she was so helpful and always had a smile. Food was tasty especially the chips and milkshakes were to die for! Not a whole bunch of people in there at the time when I was in but the atmosphere was really chilled and relaxing :)

This was our first visit and it was a pleasant surprise. The food was very good and the service was excellent. Our server James couldn’t have been more pleasant and helpful. He was very knowledgeable regarding the food and was a great help in us choosing what to have. We will definitely be back. The food was good value and very tasty.

Great atmosphere, great for a date night. We were served by a young waitress called Megan; Megan was very friendly and helpful even suggested what was popular on the menu. Would have stayed for desert but we were full up from dinner

We have used this restaurant for a long time now and sadly we won't be going back. We arrived at 7.25 after booking and was surprised to see the restaurant half empty on a Tuesday. Tuesday is 2 for 1 on burgers and we always have to book. After waiting 30 min to order we were told they had no chicken so we changed our order. Would have been nice to have been told this before we tried to order. We then waited a further 35 minutes for 2 burgers that were not worth the wait. We also ordered sticky fingers that we could not eat as they were harder than the table we were sitting at. I would have fed this back if anybody had bothered to ask us how our food was during our long visit. After 1.5 hours we asked for our bill and it came with service already added ! I am now siting at home wondering what service we actually received. I did pay the service as I don't believe it's the fault of the kids that were working. Clearly no training given or expectations set as to what hospitality is. I really hope that the owners stop the downward spiral of what used to be a great little burger restaurant.

40 minute wait for food, though drinks served quickly. Why is apple cider only available at Eastbourne venue? Very over cooked and black in places pattie, chewy and hard. A smear of sauce and mayo, tiny amount of diced onion. Not a pleasant meal will not go there again. No chicken burger without Korean sauce, why no alternative. Waiting staff pleasant and helpful but nothing else to recommend spending £40 on two burgers, 2 lagers and 1 lot of fries.

Ordered before and it was lovely so we decided to go back, but this time it was not what we were expecting and very sad about this. We won't be ordering from here again

The blonde manager was so rude!!! She poked my food just to find something that is not there then she went out with her click of friends who were servers and left only one staff member on the floor. Felt sorry for that girl who did everything by herself while the Blonde manager went to the back with her blonde friends. So unprofessional. That blonde manager should train on customer service. Poor behaviour and poor management. She should learn to treat everyone with respect, customers and staff alike.

I don't normally do reviews but the meal I just had was special. Burgers were amazing, chicken tenders were sublime. Delivery was super quick. I cannot fault this place at all. Really nice little touches with the sweets as well.

Fathers Day treat, and to find out that fathers get their meal free was a very nice touch from them. First time visiting and I've gotta say I'd happily come back, my 5 year old daughter enjoyed colouring and the 007 shake was fantastic. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Man vs Food style eating! A range of huge, buildable burgers and great sides. A good deal for £35 if you want to try (or share like us!) a bit of lots of different things. We loved the Korean chicken tenders and the actual beef patties were great. (They even have an eating challenge for this deal Mondays!) The loaded fries weren't a hit- they were cold from all the sauce and overall we found them and the dipping burger really salty. Kid portions were decent and the staff are so friendly and helpful!

First off let’s talk about the lovely Emma. She was absolutely amazing, customer service was 10/10 she was very chatty and also gave us little bites to try on the upcoming menu. Which was very nice of her, She was very friendly down to earth and listened to my idea of a protein meat platter for us boys that like to lift weights drink shakes and eat tons of meat :D Food was great and on time. No issues had with our food and everything came out piping hot and nothing needed changing.. Would be great to see some sausages on the menu and in fact also added to the new protein platter that your going to launch ;) Always loved the food and service you guys provided and emma made sure your customers service went above and beyond we even got cheeky free milkshake to taste and leave our review so here goes She asked for the biscoff and said it was banging and had loads of bits in it lol these were her words I got the oreo milkshake and it didnt fail to deliver also didnt bloat me out or make me feel sick after devouring our meals. Will be recommending these shakes moving forward..defo ask on instagram for new and exciting ideas for shakes off your customers :D Kirk& tiegan

Had a takeaway from chuck and blade Rochester. Can easily say it is the best burgers we have ever had and the sticky fingers are amazing! All the staff are so kind and friendly and Emma is a wonderful manager who helped me decide on what to have for myself (I’m very fussy) keep up the amazing work guys thank you:)

We ordered the sharer tray, which was good value for two people. The chicken was very succulent and the halloumi was lovely. I was astounded by the amount of sauce on the loaded fries. I think someone may have gotten a little carried away whilst putting the sauce on them 🤔 The staff were friendly and there was a nice atmosphere.

First time eating here, the restaurant itself was fine, the service was cool and the milkshake was good but unfortunately the main attraction, the burgers (both the cluck norris chicken and big dipper beef) were very blah, very bland. Ate a burger with no flavour which is a shame, The truffle fries were not great either. So so disappointed about the burgers.

Myself and my pal went for something to eat, ordered with our waitress, 2 for Tuesday, everything sweet. Some busy body of a waitress who had nothing to do with our table, OR our order, sticks her nose in and comes over and tells us, the 2 free ones can't be taken with us, as the offer only applies to eat in, to which we said, the other waitress said it was fine and she'd sort it out, so off this one goes making herself busy again, off to stir things up. After we saw the waitress that was really helpful and originally took our order being bothered by the busy waitress in the kitchen, we called her over and said we didn't want to cause her any trouble, to which she told us she can't believe how much drama there's been surrounding this order, she WAS in fact mistaken and it wasn't 2 for Tuesday unless we ate the lot in. So we just cancelled them, paid our bill and left. The waitress that served us was lovely, and clearly just trying to help us out, but the larger, busy body waitress just seemed hell bent on not only micromanaging the poor girl, but also pointing out what happened to anyone who would listen. Looked a lot like workplace bullying to me.

Burger was delicious and the portion sizes are pretty good. Value for money. The waitress, Millie was very polite and helped us with our order when we couldn’t decide what to get.

My wife and I decided to check this place out for a date and boy were we happy! We went for the sharing deal they have and got a couple of burgers, fries, halloumi fries, chicken tenders and a shake. All the food was lovely and the shake was awesome. All told after including a couple of drinks and tip we spent £40 and it was well spent!

Top burger place- had the fiery fagan burger with a biscoff shake. DELICIOUS! Shout out to our server Millie- super helpful with the recommendations. Will definitely be coming back :-)
