The wrong sauce and 25 minutes late

ordered last night had chicken chow main a piece of chicke I chewed tasted weird so I spit it in the bin. this morning coming out of both ends cant even hold water. avoid like the plague

I think it's up there as one of the worst takeaways we've ever had. We shared it with close friends and it made our night with just how bad it was, we just couldn't stop laughing! The sauce on one of the currys tasted like fairy liquid, the sweet sour and peking sauce was like gravy with ketchup, and the chicken was like leg tendons. Soggy chips and tasteless rice. The prawn crackers were good though!

Pork balls were massively over cooked, batter was hard and tough, not pleasant, threw them away.

I was concerned thinking our takeaway would not be hot or cooked properly because it was delivered so early. It could have been hotter.there should not be a service charge of 50p .we did however enjoy our meals.

Absolutely disgusting food. All sauces were basically water, chicken satay burnt to a crisp. Chow mein was covered in what can only be described as engine oil. Tried to return but was told that's how it is, left it on the counter, no refund given. Do not go here!

Terrible taste omg. Packaging poor. Food bland and too moist. There’s a huge difference between chop suey and rice vermicelli noodles.

The soft noodles wasn't soft noodles it was dry vermicelli noodles disgusting i wont order again

Food came within 15mins and i thought that is way too quick. Mushroom fried rice bland and mushy Veg spring roll look like they've been fried more than once. Chips were all the odds and ends from the bag. Banana fritter smells like vinegar 🤢 Prawn crackers were lovley though. We have a takeaway as a treat and I could of done a fakeaway much nicer and a lot cheaper. When we have a Chinese we always use here but unfortunately it looks like we need to find somewhere else. The one star is for the Prawn crackers.

Sorry but this is the last time i order from you guys. Chicken balls were inedible, way too chewy. Chilli rice was way too hot to enjoy - we love spice but jesus, nearly bilstered our tongues. This is the second time we have had a bad meal from here, dont know why its gone downhill

Food was disgusting. Ordered Singapore ChowMein and Singapore Friedrice. Tasted Bland and chicken was not fresh. Food was dry as well at the same time. Dropped the food back to the takeaway. Gave the same feedback to the restaurant and the reply from the staff surprised me. The staff said the food won't hurt or give any harm to your body and thats sure. Some people will like it and some people won't - that's what I got reply. Politely dropped the food back to them and left. Never ever will order from this place. Wish I can give -1as review.

We ordered the Singapore chow mein and a chicken chow mein, delivery was slow when the food arrived the chips were soggy not cooked , the boiled rice was cheap and no taste , both chow meins were bland and the sauce tasted watered down. The best thing was the free prawn crackers avoid this place NOT GOOD !!!!!!!

Speedy delivery was about the best I can say about this Chinese. Everything tasted extremely greasy. The spring rolls tasted like they were days old, they were soggy and chewy as opposed to crunchy. The crispy shredded chicken was anything but crispy, again very soggy and covered in very thick sticky sauce and the curry sauce was also extremely thick. Had to add boiled water to thin it down. First time trying a new Chinese and not somewhere I will return to. Not worth the £30 we paid.

Ordered beef curry but got chicken curry as I'm not much for chicken curry I left most of it what a waste of money just like to get what I ordered that's not much to ask

Ordered mushroom omelette, gave me chicken. Chicken chow mein awful.. spare ribs were 100% not bbq.. no taste overall.. Best part of the meal prawn crackers.. Needless to say will not be returning!

very poor quality. satay chicken had no satay sauce, more like gravy. special chow mein sauce leaked all over the rest of order.

Not the same as ot used to be. The curry sauce was very thin and there wasn't much veg in the veg curry. No prawn crackers like before. Very disappointed. 😒

2* overall for how hot the food was when it arrived. 1* for quality of the food. The food from here is just not good. Poor quality, poor execution and either no taste or weird taste. I wished I'd have read reviews on Google maps prior to ordering - rookie mistake. The 1* reviews are accurate.

Excellent food & Delivery Service

Below average and average food. Arrived hot which was good.

I loved it (5/5) and partner didn’t (2-3/5) so we met relatively in the middle at 4/5. Got about £35 worth of food for £20 so great deal (there was some deal on) and I’d pay that price again for it all. Nice staff at the door. I’d order again, partner wouldn’t. I’d recommend trying them and seeing what you think.

Only gave a 2 due to the fact that I ordered a mixed meat and beansprouts(wet). When it was delivered it had little prawns in it which I had to remove due to the fact that I am allergic to fish. It mentions nowhere on the menu for the mixed meat that it has prawns in this dish. If it did then I obviously would not have ordered it. It would help if you made it clear if dishes have any fish ingredients or in fact nuts due to so many people having fish and nut allergies

Best part of this meal was the on-time delivery and the free prawn crackers. A very disappointing meal. The food all tasted bland and was reheated from a previous day, nothing cooked fresh. This made the all of meat dry, chewy and not really edible. Not a nice meal at all, waste of money.

Very good food, delivered a few minutes early. Couple of wrong items but actually this wasn't an issue due to the good quality of the food. Will use again.

My chips were okay but the portion size was not great for the price. The chicken and mushroom was nice but I have tasted much better elsewhere. The egg fried rice was nice and prawn crackers were very nice.

Ordered tonight through uber. The chicken balls were solid and mostly just crunchy batter. The rice tasted reheated. The chips were like chip shop chips which most people would probably like but not what I would personally want from a Chinese. Very disappointed and will not be reordering. Prawn crackers were okay 👍🏻

Place & food after new owners went down hill. Jase who ran it before with family knew how to cook , and left with respect from loyal , years worth of happy customers. These new owners have destroyed what was once one of the best places to get food. Shame its turned out that way , lins on king Street is the place to go right now.

Extremely poor quality food. The rice is the cheapest you can get (broken/crushed rice) and cooks as mush. We ordered three separate and different dishes and they were literally all the same dish. Disgusting food and a total rip off.

First time order from New Chop Suey Bar. Really nice food, super speedy delivery, food was red hot, fresh and tasted great.

Some items were nicer than others. Mainly disliked that the food was too oily and soggy, too much artificial flavours and some items were cold. Also did not receive one item I had ordered, I had received a discount if 15% (£7) off the total order , however by not receiving this item there was no actual discount.

Salt and peppers chips where no where near done, duck fried rice was really greasy aswell as the chicken balls

The food was disgusting bbq spare ribs was not bbq and the gravey . This is the bbq sauce and the gravey . We have been offered a tub of gravey next time we order and spare ribs

The food from this takeaway is an absolute disgrace , ‘crispy’ chicken like slop, sauce was vile, chicken satay the texture of jelly, chips barely cooked, rice and noodles so bland, how can you not even get fried rice right? completely inedible and a waste of money, Wouldn’t go near this place again even if somebody paid me

Special fried rice was watery with no sauce. Meat was shrivelled and dried up in special fried rice and chop suey. Chicken balls were very greasy and salty Inedible really disappointed I have ordered from here before and it was good

Food wasn't great, shredded beef/chicken was slimy not been fried off long enough and the starter selection box was mostly over cooked. Portion sizes were also very small compared to any other Chinese I've used previously. Not sure I'd bother again.
