The best takeaway I've had in a long time

Speedy delivery was about the best I can say about this Chinese. Everything tasted extremely greasy. The spring rolls tasted like they were days old, they were soggy and chewy as opposed to crunchy. The crispy shredded chicken was anything but crispy, again very soggy and covered in very thick sticky sauce and the curry sauce was also extremely thick. Had to add boiled water to thin it down. First time trying a new Chinese and not somewhere I will return to. Not worth the £30 we paid.

Ordered mushroom omelette, gave me chicken. Chicken chow mein awful.. spare ribs were 100% not bbq.. no taste overall.. Best part of the meal prawn crackers.. Needless to say will not be returning!

2* overall for how hot the food was when it arrived. 1* for quality of the food. The food from here is just not good. Poor quality, poor execution and either no taste or weird taste. I wished I'd have read reviews on Google maps prior to ordering - rookie mistake. The 1* reviews are accurate.

Great food delivered on time and hot. It was fresh and it was tasty. Ordered through uber eats without issue. Came with prawn crackers and fortune cookies. We enjoyed the food immensely. Thank you.

Ordered tonight through uber. The chicken balls were solid and mostly just crunchy batter. The rice tasted reheated. The chips were like chip shop chips which most people would probably like but not what I would personally want from a Chinese. Very disappointed and will not be reordering. Prawn crackers were okay 👍🏻

Place & food after new owners went down hill. Jase who ran it before with family knew how to cook , and left with respect from loyal , years worth of happy customers. These new owners have destroyed what was once one of the best places to get food. Shame its turned out that way , lins on king Street is the place to go right now.

Extremely poor quality food. The rice is the cheapest you can get (broken/crushed rice) and cooks as mush. We ordered three separate and different dishes and they were literally all the same dish. Disgusting food and a total rip off.

The food was disgusting bbq spare ribs was not bbq and the gravey . This is the bbq sauce and the gravey . We have been offered a tub of gravey next time we order and spare ribs

The food from this takeaway is an absolute disgrace , ‘crispy’ chicken like slop, sauce was vile, chicken satay the texture of jelly, chips barely cooked, rice and noodles so bland, how can you not even get fried rice right? completely inedible and a waste of money, Wouldn’t go near this place again even if somebody paid me

Didn’t enjoy this food at all. Chips and rice were ok, salt and pepper chicken was soft. Paid £6.50 for duck in hoisen sauce, sauce was disgusting, minimal pieces of duck and on the ones there were it was mostly fat. Didn’t look appetising and was making me want to throw up I couldn’t finish my meal. Won’t be returning, really disappointed.

Had a takeaway Bland no flavours, no meat on lamb chop, chicken under cooked , never again may as well as put £30 in the bin ,as that's where our food went.

Ordered pork but got chicken. Sweet and sour Cantonese style isn't like elsewhere, just a piece of chicken breast sliced and put on top of a load of sweet and sour sauce. Chicken was cold, food wasn't cooked properly.

Half roast chicken wasn’t nice, mostly bones and slimy meat, but the rest of the order was as good as usual.

Been having from this place for 43 years from when it started in Longton Jason’s mother was running it then ,, it was fantastic food back then and I can say it’s still got fantastic food now delivery very good and the food very hot and very tasty the quality still as good as all them years ago won’t go anywhere else ,, well done Jason keep up the good work and here’s to many more yummy years of the best take away ever …

I WILL NEVER EVER ORDER FROM THIS TAKE AWAY! Menu very misleading - becareful! Even if you try to talk it out they will simply argue back. Food was cold , sweet and sour sauce was disgusting smelt like it came from the toilet. Chicken balls is like wth? No taste , so blunt , soggy and it tasted off like its been sitting there for days. Rice , defo cheap rice tasteless, no flavour and it's like one of those microwavable Uncle Ben's rice. Honestly couldn't finish the food, my partner ended up having food posing 🙃. Please stay away from this take away and don't waste ur money. I would recommend Furama 👌 (Picture shows set dinner A , with set of chicken balls, ended up having 2 chicken balls cuz menu said sweet snd sour chicken not chicken balls )

How can this place have any 5 star reviews? I am a big fan of Asian food and I ate from many different takeaways in the past. This one must be one of the worst I've ever had. The menu is misleading as we ordered set meal and got different dishes than listed on the menu. This wasn't however the reason why I gave this place 1 star. The reason for it is that the food itself was just unseasoned, stodgy and watered down. I don't often write bad reviews but I felt like I have to do it for this place to ensure that no one makes the same mistake as we did. I'm definitely not going to be ordering again

Food was awful, could tell it was cooked prior and warmed up. Chowmein noodles were so thin and tasteless. Chicken looked enimic not edible and watery. Arrived 20 minutes after ordering.

Food absolutly diabolical, iv eaten better food at a 3* spanish resort buffet.. chicken in the chow mein looks like 3 blokes chewed it and spat it into the tub before even cooking it RAW.. GIVE IT A MISS.. food should come with a health warning.

Spring roll order normally you get two large spring rolls not one cut in half. Green pepper and black bean sauce meal was full of mushrooms and I don’t like them never mind they shouldn’t be in there in the first place. So disappointed

Specifically stated NO VEG in the Chicken Chow Mein and no peas or gravy with the sausages and chips. The chicken balls were tasteless. Will NEVER order from here again. Very disappointing.

The sauce in the chicken chow mein wasn't very nice at all, and in the dry noodles it was bland. We had mini veg spring rolls and they weren't very nice either. Spent £20+ on the food and haven't eaten it.

Only ordered a meal-for-one (dry chow mein, prawn crackers and a can of coke) and while the food was piping hot on arrival and the delivery time was early I did instead receive wet chow mein despite selecting the dry option. I still ate it as I felt it was a silly thing to send back an order for and the service otherwise was good and the food tasted nice (even if not my preference), but perhaps definitely read your orders more thoroughly as given it was only the two food items on the menu I was a bit disappointed that this still got lost in communication.

Of the many years that we have been eating Chinese food this was one of our worst experiences.Delivered late the curried prawn was “indifferent” the sweet and sour prawn was nothing like what S&S prawn SHOULD taste like…mostly batter. The meals were indicative of what take always have become in recent times.We will Never buy from this outlet again!

Meat spring rolls...terrible,avoid

We have used the Chop Suey for more years than I can remember. We have tried others but still prefer this for take away/ delivered Chinese.

Ordered at 6pm arrived at 7:50 and we live 5mins away

I don't know what they delivered as chop suey but if dish water with chicken is chop suey ike eat my hat ... satay chicken supposed to be in skewers not in a spicy sauce .. for a price of 30 quid I won't be returning and saving the chop suey for a council inspector
