Chop and Wok Hall Green (Halal) in Birmingham

I've ordered from here since it opened and this used to be the best chop and wok in terms of quality and flavour and idk if it's new management or chef but the last few times I've ordered a byo noodles it has been so bland and almost watered down in flavour. the noodle taste undercooked/unwashed and very starchy and could be tasted more than the actual sauce flavour. the katsu curry is fine. such a shame so I don't think I would order from this one again. probs try the express one from now on.

Very overpowering seasoning Bitter taste I was going complain to the manager/owner but looking at previous reviews I realised it would be a waste of time Literally eat one spoon never again House special rice was awful like a box of soggy rice with bits of meat

Great service, price and delivery

I regularly come here for my craving fix, they are fairly consistent every time, the food is definitely tasty - only thing I could fault is portion size of the meat mainly when you order a large. Other than that, can't fault the service.

Sides (wedges and spring rolls) were excellent, as they always have been, however the mains were bland and poorly cooked - used to love Chop n Wok but since the latest changes they've really lost their quality. A real shame, won't be ordering again.

Order SF chicken strips with fries. Got a box of fries with a couple of blobs of chicken, asked the owner/manager where the chicken strips were and his response "you should have ordered a large" haha!! Owner/Manager and staff all really grumpy no desire to provide a good service - avoid if you're with the family it will spoil your day.

wrong food sent. food was not nice at all. receipt was even missing (ripped off the bag) . phoned the restaurant and they said they would send the correct order and to wait, they didn't. waste of time. your better off ordering from the other chains. never again this one.

Today I ordered sweet and sour noodles, BBQ noodles, and black bean noodles from this restaurant. Unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. The sweet and sour noodles were the only decent dish; they had a nice balance of flavors. However, the BBQ noodles did not taste like BBQ at all. The most disappointing were the black bean sauce noodles, which had a horrible flavour and an unappealing flavour that reminded me of smell of wallpaper paste. Overall, I do not recommend this place. The food quality was subpar, and it's not worth the time or money.

Beef stips too chewey and hard. I ordered the spiciest food i could find on the menu, but it was almost bland. Overall, Not nice.

I’m extremely unhappy with the service of this order, I ordered my food over an hour ago and it still hasn’t arrived. I have called the restaurant multiple times and they are really unhelpful. On just eat app it says my order has been delivered which it hasn’t but the man I spoke to on the phone just commented “it says that sometimes” he wasn’t helpful at all he didn’t let me explain my concerns. I’m extremely unhappy about this and I will not be ordering again from this restaurant

Did not receive spring rolls as ordered. I was told before delivery that they had run out of teriyaki sauce and chose an alternative. However, this was so spicy I could not eat it. The special fried rice had no flavour and the meat sizes were tiny.

Perfect as always thank you my nephew really enjoyed his meal - just in time for opening his fast too.

The sauce didn’t taste authentic and there has been a change with the veg that goes with noodles. Bit disappointing this time as have had better before from here

The food was excellent. Really tasty authentic style. The delivery driver was also great and accommodating. Cannot fault this place. Really enjoyed the meal

Everything was tasty and fresh, the dumplings were v.good! Super fast delivery by a polite young man. Just a small consideration.. a basic plain chow mein with medium noodles, no bits with chicken on the kids menu would be perfect!

My food that I ordered arrived very cold, it was soo saucy there were hardly any noddles in the dish.

The app allowed me to place an order for something that wasn't in stock, very disappointing. However I was contacted prior to picking up my order and was substituted with another item so overall good service from chop wok. disappointed with just eat as a service lately though.

All good as always but menu has now changed and favourites gone so disappointed

Over cooked noodles and veg with very little meat

Sides are amazing, but the noodles all taste the same, like a generic chow mein. No matter what you order it's a generic taste with varying spice. It's not bad but definitely not in par with other places.

Extremely disappointed with value. Noodles over cooked 2 very small pieces of beef, carrots over cooked and way to much of something similar to soy sauce! Will defo safely never order from here again!

Order was totally messed up, we ordered red curry with duck and noodles with duck, both came with chicken. The chillies requested for the curry was in the noodles. Dissatisfied and disappointed to say the least…. won’t be ordering from here again!

Amazing taste, everything was on point!

Was sent an extremely small portion for £10. Only three small prawns and half a portion in box. Contacted just eat about this and no resolution, not sure I’ll order again as there’s no value or respect for customers

Even though food is good when received, but not going to order from this branch again. Last few times when order is placed get a call that there is something not available.

Noodles turned to paste in mouth, soup was tasteless and prawns were either wildly overcooked or had gone bad and used anyway, totally inedible and went in the bin, will never order here again!

I ordered a range of Noodles to try. Black bean was a nice standard noodle suitable for kids as it wasn't spicy. Malay Noodles were alot more spicy than I anticipated but Dan Dan Noodles were really good! Good level of spice and flavour. I will definitely order that one again. I also order veg dumplings, they tasted very much like veg spring rolls. It was just alright, nothing to shout about. I am still willing to try many other items on the menu next time :)

Food was delicious but could of done with 1 chow mein between 2 people to share as I couldn’t manage all of mine. And came 35 minutes earlier than the time of delivery that I was given.

Came here for first time.had the noodles with tiger prawns and Malay sauce/gravy. It was really good.fresh and piping hot with a tangy flavour.They do a selection of sauces with different flavours and intensity. Also the portion is quite generous and prices very reasonable. Would definitely come again to try other items off the menu

Ordered via Uber. Food is not original Chop and Wok as in the one by Mailbox. This food was horrible and tasted nothing like the original which I've had many times from other branches. The box was different also which makes me think these guys are just using the name. The food tasted burnt and overpowering coriander taste/smell. Literally took one spoonful and there the rest away! Never again. I will definitely be avoiding this particular branch.

We have not received the salt and pepper fries for which we were charged 6.95! But apart from that it was nice food as usual

Food arrived early and was hot on arrival. Unfortunately, the quality was bad. The mixed platter was mostly potato wedges, and the chicken satay was very dry. The wok boxes were very full but mostly noodles/veg with not much meat. The sauce was very unpleasant, and the texture was mushy/sloppy. Will not try this place again.

Ordered three dishes with one being liked by the family which was "Build your own Wok".. Although we ordered soba noodles whatwe got was way too thin but overall a nice dish. The Chicken egg fried rice was disappointing and didn't resemble what we get from another chinese take out but OK to have, The disappointing dish was the Chinese Chicken curry which looked and tasted like an indian curry. Not great overall

Food was super spicy , uneatable .

Preordered 2 hours earlier and it still turned up 35 mins late. Next time I know to order before I want it because it never arrives on time. They should take the vegetable tempura off the website because it’s always “out of stock”. Ordered the vegetable platter with it in and the platter turned up without it, didn’t even get a substitute.

Amazing, fresh, authentic food. Always delivers on taste and quality and comes piping hot presented in really good packaging. Highly recommend, and a Firm favourite. All the hot sides, thai currys and seafood is 10/10

Food was tasteless. I’ve had it before on Stratford road and loved it with all the same order- but this was poor. Korean bbq wings didn’t even look like chicken wings and there was no Korean bbq sauce on them. Will not be ordering again.

Food was really tasty, I’ve tried almost all the chop and wok branches in Birmingham and this one by far is the best one. And super accommodating to any allergies or changes that I made to the order! Definitely becoming my regular going forward :)

Yes the food was late but they called first to tell me so and they were the best noodles I have ever tasted! I had Singapore plum sauce, King Prawns and extra mushrooms. Oh my gosh a taste sensation. I'm never going anywhere else for noodles!!!

I've ordered here twice first time it was perfect! Great presentation, good timing and good flavour. Second time the box it came in was ripped in half and so the noodles and sauce had gone everywhere and the taste was just not there. Honestly this has put me off a little.

Curry was watery, small portions, and incredibly late delivery time which we had to travel to collect.

We've ordered from this place a few times and the food flavor is pretty decent and it comes at a good price. The delivery on the other hand is atrocious we live less then 6 minutes away but it takes them always more than an hour. Whenever we have chosen a time it's always always been late so we get cold food. Not ordering again on delivery. Do not recommend a delivery either. Better to collect or order elsewhere.

Ridiculously bad food and service. Only order here if you like cold late food that tastes like it came out a microwave.
